Blau Varadero: Great Resort

I have been to Cuba a few times and I can say that Blau Varadero is a very good hotel. Most people are concern with the food when travelling to Cuba, however, the food here was quite good. The beach is always nice in Cuba and Blau does not disappoint. Since this is high rise hotel unlike most Cuban resorts, the elevators were an issue. First it was very small, and secondly it's not working most of the time. Another conern is with the lobby bar. Sol Varadero Beach: Comfortable resort for relaxation

Went in late Oct seeking a spot to relax in the sun. We were not disappointed. The beach was clean and lots of palapas and chairs. Enjoyed the pool for refreshing swims too. Food is simple Cuban fare but always lots to eat. Had an older main floor room facing the driveway which certainly could stand an upgrade especially to the air-con but our maid was great and the location close to everything so decided not to complain.....this was a minor issue for us. Fron [... read more]t desk were always courteous and helped with a smile, and the buffet dining staff were very pleasant, especially once they began to recognize you likes etc. Bar staff were friendly but generally too busy to chat at times we were there....getting the job done! Memories Jibacoa: AMAZING FUN RESORT

THE RESORT IS AMAZING. THIS IS MY 4TH TIME TO THIS RESORT.I GO IN OCTOBER FOR THEIR OCTOBERFEST. THE STAFF IS AMAZING AND MAKE THE STAY SO MUCH FUN. THEY ARE DOING SOME RENOVATIONS BUT THE ROOMS ESPECIALLY THE BATHROOMS SHOULD BE UPDATED.VERY CLEAN AND ALWAYS SOMETHING TO EAT.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Fantastic Staff and Beautiful Beach

My friend and I stayed at the Laguna Azul in mid-February. The staff are lovely and rush to assist you. The beach is clean and beautiful. The food is okay, fairly staandard quality for Cuba, but does get boring after a week. Some of the rooms are very badly maintained and we had to switch our room afte the first day. Our major issue was finding a few cockroaches here and there (including a restaurant and our room) and the lack of sufficient air-conditioning in a few of the locations. Sol Palmeras: Nice resort!

I would recomend this hotel, as it has really nice beach, entertainment is great, food was average but good, hotel is clean and staff is very nice. The resort is very good for kids, a lots of variety of games.

Memories Jibacoa: Great Place, Great Snorkling

Been to the Carribean 20 times or so, this resort is one top places I've been too... 4 star resort with proximity to Havana, did a day trip, visited old Havana. Wow ... The character of the buildings, the cobble stone streets, the roof top bars, great food ....

Grand Memories Varadero: Great Resort

Having travelled to Cuba a bunch of times this resort has to be the best one I have stayed at so far. Upon arriving we were upgraded to the deluxe section at no extra charge. This resort is kept very clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although tips are appreciated when given they were never asked for at this resort. The food at the buffet and snack bar were very good for Cuban standards as well as the selection of drinks available at all the bars. Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Plain Cuban resort

Nothing special here. The food is very good for Cuban standards. The beach is nice. The grounds are clean. But that's about it. The resort itself is kind of plain and boring. There is currently construction next door, so there is the odd sound of jack hammers and construction equipment. The staff here is not all that friendly. Because of that, I would not return to this resort.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Great Vacation

Even though under construction and rainy season, all in all excellent service, good food, staff friendly and helpful. Nice to see the injection of money coming into resort to hopeful make it a 5 star.

Hotel Villa Cuba: Great hotel if you like animals

Second time going to this hotel. We love cats so we loved this hotel. There are many of them running around :) I understand it will annoy some people, so if you don't like animals don't go to this hotel, you won't enjoy it. The beach is the best. We walked on the beach to the Varadero city center, and passed all the hotels along the way, and i can tell you the beach in Villa Cuba is much better, wider, and cleaner than any other hotel on the way. I was drinking 24/7 and always was satisfied with the drinks. Food is ok. Breakfast is great, they make pancakes, omelettes right in front of you. Dinner is not so good, but Supper is great too. Always chicken, and fish available. And always they have ice cream, which is very important when it is hot outside. Great front desk staff, very helpful, also the representative for sunwing was very helpful too. Just overall a great experience.

Hotel Bella Costa: Great time again.

This trip was our second time to the Breezes Bella Costa and it was as great as we anticipated. We, my wife and I, have been to Cuba about 15 times at various resorts and the Bella Costa is the only one we always said we wanted to return to. Beach, ocean-view accommodation, food, entertainment and the staff were great. Looking forward to our third trip.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Absolutely Beautiful!

The resort was amazing! It was just beautiful surroundings ,the plants and buildings everything was so clean and well kept. The people were , so friendly and helpful. We are already planning to go back. It was a perfect getaway!

Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing trip!!!

This was my second visit to this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel the property is beautiful. I stayed in a standard room facing the marina, great view. Last time my room faced the pool and beach which is also very nice. The staff here are amazing especially at the pool and lobby bar. Always taken care of never had to wait for a cocktail. The staff in the buffet restaurant were also fantastic and there was a great selection of items to make everyone happy. My favourite part of the trip was the spa where I booked a massage they have an infinity pool on the roof with to jetted hot tubs and loungers to relax and hang out before your massage. You can also just book a visit for the roof top pool for 30 pesos. Beautiful view of the marina . The beach is less than 5 minutes walking distance from the pool and is very nice with a restaurant and a tiki bar as well. You can also catch a ride as golf style carts also leave every couple of minutes from pool bar. I will definately visit this resort again.

Barcelo Solymar: Average hotel

The hotel is in a good location for walking distance into town where you will meet wonderful people. The room was clean but dated and the food was half decent, during our stay a lot of the hotel was shut down due to renovations. The hotel setup is not ideal as it's hard to find a good spot to sit and enjoy a drink, we spent most of our time in town and only slept at the resort .

Hotel Bella Costa: i would say that the staff was excellent although

I would say that the staff was excellent althoug the building needs much work to be fix the roof the elevators the curtains the blanket need to be aired out and the becuase they smell like mold they need to spray the building for roaches becuse the stuff were great if the owners where to give a little more attention i would recommend it msy be

Memories Jibacoa: Relaxing quiet resort

This was a very nice resort...quiet and relaxing. The staff except for the front desk and shop workers were very pleasant. We found front desk and shop (store) staff rude and concerned more with their personal conversations and cell phones than they were with us. The food was ok but became monotonous after a couple of days. I think if they did some upgrades to the resort it would be a definite plus. The rooms were clean and the resort itself was kept clean. The beach is great if you want to do snorkling, however the rocks make it very difficult to get into the ocean..but once youre in..the snorkling is amazing.

Barcelo Solymar: awesome resort

the grounds were kept up, pool was great, food has improved front desk staff not very friendly lobby entertainment was better, and animation team was good for Cuban entertainers. Public relations people were amazing

Gran Caribe Sun Beach: Amazing Resort

The hotel was great although a little run down but who cares, the time that I spend in my hotel room is not worth even getting disappointed over. They were in the process of painting the hotel anyways. The people were incredibly warm and friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel Bella Costa: very friendly resort

it has been a great five star resort in its day,but it is now a little dated.The staff are very friendly and do a great job in daily activities and evening entertainment.The beach is beautiful and the food is above average for Cuba

Roc Arenas Doradas: A wonderful vacation

My 2 daughters and I stayed at this resort for a week Oct 20 to 27th. We had a wonderful time. Our room was lovely and clean, the resort as a whole was clean and well kept, beach absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant was good and you can always find something you like. The seafood and the International A La Carte Restaurants were very good. Overall, we were very satisfied.
