Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Wonderful Girls Getaway

We had an awesome week at the Luxury Bahia in Jamaica. The employees were very attentive and friendly providing excellent service. The food and pools were good. The resort could use some updating but was very clean. We would definitely return.

Jewel Grande Resort and Spa: Great service, wonderful staff

Booked this resort and attended with my family. Service and staff is absolutely wonderful. The resort however is a former complex of luxury condos that were converted few years ago due to not enough units selling. Seems like because of that a lot of the services are trying to be fit in like Tetris. The entertainment is right outside the main rooms building (Sentry) and if you turn down a bit earlier then the noise will bother you. Even with the doors closed the rooms do not have a good sound bar [... read more]rier. You can hear everything sadly. In terms of food, the in room service is fairly quick. Restaurants are clean and decent. The buffet however is still being served by staff due to covid which is nice but a bit annoying as you have to wait to be served. There are two pools, fairly clean and large and the resort was not too busy. The beach however is very small and has a a lot of sea grass. I've stayed at other resorts in MBJ that have nicer beaches.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Very poor beach

Beach certainly wasn’t how it looked in their pictures. Very rocky on the way to the beach and only 15 feet of shallow water before you get to the muck. That was only the bad part other than the weather. Food, service and staff we all top notch. Room was good with a large shower area. Very close to the airport.

Riu Negril: Fantasy Island

Entire hotel experience was just as expected , superb.Grounds were very well cared for and groomed regularly. All but the beach which was horrible. Not used to that , but mother nature had something to do with that. Beach was eventually cleaned up the day before we came home. Room was cleaned daily and had zero issues Bed was excellent as well. Food was on another level as buffets were something from Fantasy Island. With multiple selections of everything , twice daily. Only had 1.5 days of  [... read more]rain thankfully. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: It was nice to get away after three years of being isolated

The resort needs some work external painting etc. our bathroom leak water from the shower and from the ceiling the vault was broken when we arrived they ran out of shampoo The Dining Rooms we’re good beach is very poor with the exception of the grand Bahia the beach at the luxury didn’t exist I was hoping more variety at the buffets as I’m used to pre-covid the bars at the luxury didn’t have the premium liquors and beer I was expecting that

Riu Ocho Rios: Everything you Need

The Riu Ocho Rios is a perfect blend of everything you need to have a perfect vacation. Food is plentiful and flavourful, staff are happy and fun, beach is large and entertainment leaves you with with wholesome laughter. Glow party is a MUST!!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort

This resort while yes it is older, it is cosier and friendlier than the the big boxy hotels. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is gradually being renovated and the rooms that are finished are great. We had an ocean front room in building 5 and it was perfect. Two large comfortable beds, plenty of towels and water daily. The fridge was great and the air conditioning worked quietly and efficiently.The room was cleaned every day. Plenty of choices for food and while everything wasn’t to our taste there was always plenty to choose from. The beach is cleaned every day and there are plenty of lounges. Snorkelling was great and the water was so warm you could swim all day. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and perfectly maintained. Masks were mandatory in the restaurants and when getting food from the buffet. The staff all wore masks and were constantly sanitizing public areas. We would go back to this resort anytime.

Riu Montego Bay: Terrible resort

Very disappointed. Staff were unfriendly. Food was terrible. Same thing eery day lunch and dinner. All fried food. Over spiced. No real selections. 3 days of no rolls or fresh bread. Very little to choose from salad bar fruits and deserts. Entertainment poor. Nothing to do there. Beach was poor

Couples Negril: Couples Negril, Amazing resort

Tremendous upkeep, always someone cleaning, washing and sweeping the grounds. The rooms were clean and neat and had house keeping every day. The food was amazing, didn’t matter which restaurant we ate in. Great entertainment, not every night but when there was, the performers, singers were of extremely professional abilities and quite enjoyable. Wonderful hotel and location. Would recommend it to my friends. Not happy with Air Canada Beach was beautiful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was fantastic and the service to the room was very good as well

Nice large hotel, with mixed guests UK,Canada, US and local. Rooms: Large, comfy, AC worked well, good water pressure in shower! Staff: Very friendly and helpful Pools: great! Beach: sucks/useless. Need more sand. too rocky, too small. not enough space to swim in ocean. Food: On the positive, lots of local/Jamaican cuisine, which often is not common at resorts. Otherwise the food was mediocre. Tried 3 of the specialized restaurants, staff was good food medium to poor. Ended up sticking w [... read more]ith the buffet. Booze. all cheap local except at lobby bar. Often ran out of international/premium brands. No mint all week for Mojito. Entertainment was good.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Absolutely Amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Sandals Ochi is a great resort. Very clean and well kept. You have to sanitize before going into any facility or restaurant on site. We had a butler suite and I want to give a big shout out to Dennis and Danrick for amazing service and helping to make our anniversary special.They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed .The entertainment was also good and kept us entertained. Azul Beach Resort Negril: Run down resort

Where to begin - to keep it short, this resort has so much potential, but unfortunately the ownership cares more about the money then the resort itself. The beach is absolutely stunning and along side the fantastic staff of servers, cleaners, bartenders, cleaners and entertainment crew they are the shining light that keeps this place open. Food [... read more] is over cooked and the staff is over worked. Little to none Jamaican food to be offered. The restaurants were disappointing -as the staff did the best they could with the ingredients that were made available to them. The main lunch bar (garfields) went from being open daily serving Jamaican food to a disappointing 3 days on the weekend only. We only found this out when we got to the resort. This was not on AC website nor Azuls website - we were quite upset about this as it was one of the only things we were looking forward to having. The ownership staff was on the resort and were too busy having meetings and enjoying the free food and room to care about the issues with the resort as nothing was resolved during their visit. I first had witnessed upper management see a puddle of water pooling in the buffet which is a potential hazzard for the staff and guests and did nothing about it when it was shown to him. We are in no way hard to please people and always keep an open mind when visiting any resort or destination. However when you are charging the prices that Azul is charging for a so called 5 star resort and only delivering with 2 star accommodations and food then that is where we have an issue. Until there is a major change with the upkeep of the resort, the food and the ownership staff we will not be returning or recommend this hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing resort. Will be returning.

Had a wonderful experience with every Staff member we incountered. We used the hotel for one day of excursions and a private driver for another day of excursions. Elevators were on and off. Lots of stairs to get to top floor. Al la carts were amazing. Buffets were amazing. Beach was beautiful. Upgraded to luxury day pass for the last 2 days. Particularly Tiffany and tt and kedar. Denzel at the pool bar grand side is amazing. Fabian is the best bellhop. I got stung by a bee and. I'm allergic. He turned a golf cart into an ambulance to bring me to the nurse. Had a wonderful experience with her and she took good care of me. Ended up not having to go to the hospital thank God. Overall good experience. Stay on the grand side not luxury. Our view on the grand side was beautiful. Block 11. Food 10/10 Staff 10/10 Excursions 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Wine 10/10 Nurse10/10 Luxury 2/10

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: AMAZING RESORT!

We went to this resort on the recomendation of our travel agent, Saskia. This was beyond anything we were expecting. The hotel was spotless, the rooms were incredible, the service was 10 stars and the food was exceptional. The people there were out of this world. Anything, everything you wanted 24/7 they were there for you tips or no tips. Tips of course were preferred, but either way they were there to make your stay a most memorable one, and that it was.

The resort was kept clean and maintained. The gardeners always working, staff always clearing dishes. There were no towel games at this resort. get your towel cards and then exchange towels as needed. Food was tremendous at this restaurant. Both my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food at this a la carte. Staff are very cordial, helpful and not rude throughout the resort. We didn't really use Butler service. We were originally assigned the wrong room, that got corrected on the first day. We asked for extra towels etc and they were provided with no issue. room service portions are small so make sure you order accordingly. The resort has a good layout and is easy to traverse. We did not attend evening entertainment. beach is small - also went to the Grand side beach and it was not impressive - so we stayed on our side. The food is decent. we found that the Jazmin buffet was much better than the buffet by the beach for selection. We are not pool people - so I have no comment on the pool - other than they seem big and people seemed to enjoy them. Its about an hour commute to the airport Issues with the resort booking a la cartes were not always available. The Tapanyaki restaurant is not open every night and our vacay was only from Fri to Tues - so we did not have an opportunity to book. My boyfriend is Brazilian and we did the Brazilian buffet. We expected it to not be authentic Brazilian. But their salads side bar didn't even have rice or beans, but they did have Greek salad? The meat did not really come to the table very often. best to expect to go to this restaurant for an evening dinner out - but to also hit the buffet the same night or order room service. Drinks are terribly slow anywhere you go for buffet or restaurants - so order them as soon as you arrive or you might get them as you are leaving. Our ceiling in our room leaked (room 25718) we didn't complain about it. to sign out snorkel gear - you have to walk to the grand beach side .... $50 USD CASH only per person and that is just snorkel and mask - no fins. AND you can ONLY sign them out at 9:30am and 1:30pm. Best just to bring your own and save the hassle. So, no major complaints; just some silly stuff.

Catalonia Montego Bay: A great Vacation

We spent 10 days at this resort. The rooms were clean, although slightly out dated. The food was excellent, a very good choice with some catering to gluten and lactose free. The specialty restaurants did not disappoint! A special mention to Jodi at the front desk, who went above and beyond for us, and to Dave the night manager who made a big impression on us, never faltering in is quiet, kget things done attitude. He is awesome!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice Family Getaway

The resort is a beautiful property about an hour away from the airport, so brace yourself for the ride. The pool and beach were amazing and beautiful. Property is clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. I was glad to see the hotel being painted during my stay. Would recommend upgrading the bathrooms. Food was good, enough variety for everyone. Didn’t notice any COVID restrictions, however, hand hygiene required before going into the main dining room and restaurants.

Overall the hotel/resort is huge. Lots of walking to get from venue to venue. Walk to pool is reasonable however to restaurants and other locations it takes effort and time. Overall grounds m, pool and beach and the hotel common areas are very well kept. The rooms are dated and lean towards run down. The bathrooms were clean and the modern part of the room. Showers hot and powerful. In room service was poor. Buffet is average and ran out of food all the time. Restaurant booking is a pain if your [... read more] can even book. Food in Alacart is better than average but slow. Service at bar is hit and miss. Ran out of beverages , limited premium and many didn’t know drink variation and didn’t want to spend anytime figuring it out. Overall service was poor. There is a don’t care attitude that is all around. There were a few employees that went the extra mile to put a smile on your face but for everyone that did 4 others would take that smile away quickly. I would not recommend this resort. Find another option. Don’t go based on price and don’t waste money on upgrading. If you do go you’ve been warned. Expect to get the bare minimum. If you like pools and an ok beach and sometimes service it’s the place for you.

He booked for a double bed and when we arrived Daneka the receptionist at the front said that she is seeing a single bed, we had to pay the $7.00 per day for 7 days total of $49.When I talk with my agent he was very upset that we paid because clearly on your website it said double bed, that left a bad taste with us
