Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Completely blown away - Amazing resort - Amazing staff

This 5 star resort exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, through our entire stay, it was truly amazing. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff (Luis) and our bags were professionally taken care of by Freddy. The entire facility was well-maintained, spotless and nothing out of place. Our room was beyond our expectations. The housekeeping staff catered to our every desire. The food and restaurants were incredible along with the service and our servers. We were entertained and kept busy by our activities director Tomy, and when we wanted a quieter day, it was achieved by easily finding some relaxing time in the shaded hammock sections throughout the resort. The bar staff and drink sections never left us disappointed. In closing, the only thing we would have changed is taking a private shuttle to and from the Cancun airport.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: lovely resort

We enjoyed our week at the resort. Some highlights although there were many...the beautiful ocean, sandy bottom, gentle waves, great for being in the sea..(not enough chairs to be had..every day was a struggle that way)...some amazing dining experiences, even the main buffet but i will name Museo, the Japanese Resaurant that you needed reservations for, and the Greek restaurant as being at the top of our list... Easy to walk everywhere...but there were shuttle carts if needed. comfortable room [... read more]s especially bed and up to date bathroom so no problems there..liked the emphasis on the environment and less plastic, really appreciated the concierge communication so easily on the App..helped answer the simplest of questions quickly or got us help quickly for the safe, towels, etc...Any questions or needs were answered immediately..pretty impressive. Staff as always were wonderful. We had out last buffet lunch on the day we were leaving which was the last meal we had that day..and suddenly on the plane ride home to Toronto several hours later, i became very sick on the plane..thank heaven for those little white bags in the seat storage..i was very sick for a few days, also in the airport..not nice when there is a lineup in the washroom. I expect something i ate at lunch..small bit of an egg dish..not hot, not cold..everything else was what i had enjoyed every day and had been fine. But inspite of that, i really enjoyed the resort and i would go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Top Notch Resort!

Bahia Principe Resorts never ceases to amaze and this one didn't either. Food was fantastic, snorkeling right on the beach with tons of fish to see, endless entertainment for the kids and so much to walk around and see! Aside from the rooms needing an update the rest of the resort was amazing! Would highly recommend!!

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Had a good vacat

Just back from the grand palladium in Puerto Vallarta! We had a great vacation,we spent the majority of our time at the main pool as the ocean was too cold for us. We were okay with that as our bartender was amazing! However, my husband reacted to the chlorine or chemicals in pool, and has quite the nasty rash! The food was okay, but it would be nice if they did different themes etc ! The food at the Portofino (a la carte) restaurant was amazing! The view from our room was great, although w [... read more]ould’ve been nice for both my husband and myself to be able to sit on the balcony together, but really only room for one of us.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: An incredible vacation!

We loved so many things about this hotel! We booked a junior beachfront room and it was so close to the beach. Actually the size of the resort was perfect as everything is within a nice, easy walking distance to all of the rooms. The food was delicious and we especially enjoyed the beach bbq dinner. The resort had activities throughout the day and evening for every type of person. We were with a large group and some enjoyed the fitness activities and tequila tasting during the day. We all enjoye [... read more]d the night life from the silent disco, the fire show, mariachi band and nightly dance party at the bar. We spent most of our time at the beach. While the beach is not huge, we never had a problem finding chairs in the morning, the water was warm and clear and the staff worked hard to clear up the sargassam each morning. We did the beach and catamaran snorkelling trip that the hotel offers at Maroma and it is not to be missed. The beach was stunning, the lunch buffet was excellent and the catamaran trip was so fun. The staff at this resort is incredible. They were always smiling and super friendly. Our large group is already talking about meeting at this resort again for our next holiday together!

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Wonderful resort!

The resort has wonderful facilities, a quiet pool in the Daisy area for families, a middle pool great for lounging and the pool bar for those wanting to join in the social activities in the pool. Good bar service, great variety and quality at the buffet and great reservation restaurants- especially the Blue Moon. Friendly and helpful staff. It was quite windy while we were there so not much time in the ocean and quite an open shoreline. Barcelo Maya Palace: Great resort - wrong time

The resort was very nice, large and spread out. it has a shuttle but only runs every 25min so we ended up walking a lot anyways. The shuttle is a large double decker bus. If they just had a bunch of gold carts it would have better served more people and with direct routes. The shopping was nice at the resort. Lots of options and decent prices. They also had a small pharmacy which was nice because I ended up getting sick the last few days and needed medication. The a la carts were very difficult  [... read more]to get into and can only book one per day. You can book in other resorts too but they were all full. There is a bowling alley, an escape room, mini-golf, and go-karts there at the resort. It was fun, we played a couple games of bowling. Extra cost of course. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. It was also very similar food at the other buffets so we didn't see what the Palace had that was better than the others. There was Patrone at the Palace and not at the others. Thats about it. There wasn't enough pool or beach chairs and people got up ridiculously early to get one, then they would just leave their towel on it and leave. They should try to have a better system for that, or more chairs. We also went when there was senior high school students there and they were pretty obnoxious.. wouldn't recommend this time of the year. Overall it was really great but don't go if you don't like to walk 1000's of steps a day.

Barcelo Maya Palace: An amazing stay at the Barceló Maya Palace

We had an amazing stay at the Barceló Maya Palace! The resort grounds are beautiful, clean pathways, and a gorgeous beachfront location. The beach was awesome—powdery white sand, turquoise waters, and the opportunity to snorkel with the turtles! One of the best parts was the access to all the other Barceló resorts in the complex (except the adults-only), which gave us tons of variety when it came to restaurants, pools, and entertainment. Definitely make your reservations early to avoid missing out! Overall, a fantastic vacation spot. We’d absolutely return and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a beautiful all-inclusive getaway with lots of variety and access to multiple resort experiences in one!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: March 2025 - had a lovely time!

We were the last to get off our airport shuttle bus, making for a long day of travel (numerous drop-off stops along the way). Thankful at least for the 11pm-7am Truck restaurant, as we came in late and hungry! Check-in was relatively painless, as we were the only people coming in at that time. Front desk staff was cordial, although things sometimes took a while to get resolved. We were given a room with two double beds and asked to be switched to one with a king-size bed. After a soft sel [... read more]l on a room upgrade (we politely declined) they agreed they could accommodate if we came back in the morning. Well, it actually took a couple days, but they did eventually come through ... so we had a king-size bed for the last seven nights of our stay. Zuriel was courteous and understanding, and did his best to follow through on our behalf whenever on duty. The buffet had lots of variety, including fish and vegetarian options - overall very good to excellent. We booked all four a la carte restaurants right away, no problem. In our opinion Thali Indian was the best. (Tequila Mexican seemed to be an extension of the Mexican section of the buffet.) Resort is huge and with all the action being focused in the central main pool area, we didn't stray too far most days. Worth noting that it was much more peaceful at the pool/beach near Andale burger joint and no trouble finding a lounge chair there. Recreation staff started volleyball twice daily, 11am and 3pm - excellent! Never had a problem getting a game going. Wind was a challenge most days, but affected everyone equally. Good fun! Overall the resort is well maintained, with a friendly staff. Beach was a bit of a construction zone, with their ongoing attempts to clear the weeds. Not a resort issue, but we felt a little cheated by our 10:30pm arrival time and 5:15am departure time. Nine days was more like 8.25 really. I will look more closely at this the next time I consider Air Transat vacations.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: a big deception for us

Many issues : -Base sewage odors inside the room, bathroom and outside the patio I couldnt sit down there and I can't put my clothes to dry. -My face and son's completely changed . (iritation and pimples) I never had any skin problems. We both came with clear skin.We had stomach aches and diarhee. -My son's eyes got burned -I falled down due to negligence the roof was leaking and there was no signage. Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great weather and Food

We were at the resort from Feb 25 to March 7 2025. It was very busy due to US march break but the staff did well. Room -Initially we did not get the room we booked but, after escalating to the manager we got into the right room. -The room was very nice big shower, nice bed, good A.C and view of the ocean. -We were suppose to have daily minibar replenishment but on several days this did not happen We avoided having to go to the almost standard timeshare presentation but were asked a few  [... read more]times and provided incentives to attend Food -There is no separate buffet for adults only but a separate section in the main buffet. -There are only 2 restaurants on the hideaway section so you will need to eat in the none adult area if you want variety -also book the restaurants early in the am as they fill up fast. Beach/Pool - Next to impossible to find chairs at the pool if you dont get up real early, they do have bali beds that cost a fortune. Best option is to ask a pool boy for assistance as they do 'reserve' chairs that they can give you. Beach is nice with long area to walk but warning signs about crocodiles and their where some sightings when we where there

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Wonderful family vacation spot

Exceptional resort with professional and friendly staff. Excellent selection at the buffets which were always stocked with fresh food. Was able to book all the a la cart restaurants but must do so as soon as you check in because they fill up fast and ideal times were limited. Only issue with the room was the patio glass door, very hard to open and would slip off its tracks.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Great spit

This place was very good. Staff are excellent and very kind. Servers were amazing and very attentive. Food was excellent!! Beach was ok and snorkeling was very good. My only complaint was that our bed was awful. Squeaky and very worn.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Beautiful resort

We stayed at the Quetzal for 10 days in early March. We were very pleasantly surprised at the beautiful grounds. It is literally a jungle with numerous waterfalls, an abundance of vegetation as well as different animals. The reception was very quick and we were given a nice room in an excellent location; building 26. The buildings and the grounds were kept in exceptional condition...very clean and well maintained. The only downside we found was the walkway through the jungle as it is uneven and  [... read more]sometimes difficult to walk on. But then there is the option of using the main road. The resort is a nice size, not too big so easy to get from one end to the other. The pools are beautiful and kept very clean; lots of loungers and palapas. The main pool is very close to the beach so it's nice to be able to see the ocean. The beach is huge...very wide with beautifl white sand and again lots of loungers and palapas. The water here is tourquoise blue and very clear. The food was excellent, very tasty with lots of variety. It was very convenient to have the option of a full lunch or quick burger/hot dog in the restaurant by the beach. We enjoyed participating in the aqua fit in the morning and the entertainment every night. All in all, this is a very nice, clean and well maintained resort and we would highly recommend it.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: The best holiday ever!

The grounds are well manicured and so green. I love watching the the little critters roaming around. Our room was clean and comfortable. When our fridge wasn’t working properly, staff quickly replaced it for a new one. When our toilet was plugged, staff came in right away to fix it. The food was so good and tasty. A la carte meals were fabulous, except for Mediterranean restaurant. It was terrible. Food and service. Beach was water was amazing. Beautiful clear, turquoise water, and could could e [... read more]ven see all the colourful fish very close to the shore. Did not have to rush and place a towel down to safe a chair. There were lots of shelter chairs to choose from. Staff are extremely friendly, and funny. Enjoyed the gym every morning. Loved the store at Coba where 1/3 of merchandise is 70% off. Such a great deal! I cannot say enough about this resort. I would highly recommend it!???The location is the only negative thing about it. It’s a 1 hr. and 45 minute drive from airport to resort.They have to drop off people along the way too.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Loved it!

The resort had everything I was looking for. The beach was long for walks. The swimming areas in the ocean were super. I snorkelled right off the shore. Very good food in the alacarte restaurants. Entertainment was wonderful. Would recommend this resort.

All areas of resort clean. Availability of transport from rooms to locations was excellent by very courteous staff. Of course restaurant staff where welcoming and efficient.The only issue I had was the abundance of the long tailed animals and racoons. I believe they are starting to overwhelm the resort.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Super!

Endroit magnifique, verdure, animaux, piscine et glissades parfaites pour les enfants, plage avec algues et roches, personnel fantastique, très bonne nourriture, plusieurs excursions à partir de l’hôtel, bons spectacles! J’ai adoré mon séjour :-) merci!

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Extraordinarily lovely resort!

The Joia Paraiso by Iberostar is an amazing adult only resort. The hotel decor is lavish and ornate. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. We went for a lovely walk every day .We spent most days by the quiet pool where all loungers/ beds are available in curtailned cabanas. The service here is extraordinary. Your every need is catered to. The food was great. My husband managed to find beef tenderloin to his delight even at the buffer. Food display was lovely especia [... read more]lly the desserts! For a special treat take in the Spa pool complete with juice bar, warm whirlpools and massaging shower heads. The beach is beautiful..all deep sand..not rocky..very little seaweed.Overall a great experience!
