Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Bus ride , to resort and hotel

We arrived at airport at 3:30 , we left airport on bus at 5:45 , bus broke down . Arrival at resort 9 pm My first impression , no flowers to wow hotel front entrance on arrival. First impression is the best . We were greeted with a punch with rum in an orange juice glass. Perhaps a champagne glass would have been more impressive. The resort beautiful , rooms beautiful . Riu Playa Blanca: Fantastic All Inclusive Experience

Great variety of good food Excellent service Wonderful value for the money Close to the airport RIU is a reliable and respectable brand RIU management took pride in ensuring quality was maintained for all Sunwing service and staff were fantastic from start to finish

Riu Flamingos: Great resort!

This property was good for us, we stayed March 5-12 2023 and had nothing really to complain about. The first night our room had some issues which were taken care of then we could simply enjoy our week. Food and grounds were perfect and pools were nice and relaxing, not cold or hot. Good times had by all.

Riu Guanacaste: Great location, great service, all around good value

This is a five-star hotel that's well organized, with well-trained staff who are numerous and try to make everyone's life more pleasant. The food is plentiful and tasty. The location is a little remote, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and there's no real incentive to leave the resort grounds. There are activities and a nightly show, and there are plentiful beach chairs on the clean, beautiful beach.

Riu Santa Fe: Love Cabo!

This was our third trip to the RIU Santa Fe resort the make over was clean beautiful! The selection of food was less than previous years and twice I was told they were out of white wine at dinner time and they didn’t serve mimosas anymore 🙁 at breakfast. The pools are clean and beautiful and big! Unfortunately this was our first time going during spring break in the US, never again! Noisy, drunken young adults! And lastly I wish they adhered to their dressing policy many times at lunch girl [... read more]s with no coverups, the cheeks of their asses hanging out sitting on chairs that other people have to occupy after and at dinner guys with sleeveless tank tops not a good look for dinner ☹️

Riu Guanacaste: Riu Guanacaste Playa Matapalo

The hotel is older but in good condition. The lobby and restaurants have all been updated but the rooms leave a bit to be desired. However, if you only spend time in your to sleep it isn't a problem. The hotel is huge with over 700 rooms so expect 1,400 people in the pool each day. The restaurants do not open until 6:00 PM so if you want to eat early you must line up at 5:30 PM pm even earlier. We don't drink much so maybe we are subsidizing those who do drink. The shows a night are less than spectacular 4 out of 10. The showers are darn right dangerous with the sloped tub/shower combination. I fell in the shower the second day. Make sure you request a rubber tub mat as the tubs are dangerous to stand in while showering. Cannot see the beach/ocean from any of the rooms, but how much time do you spend in the room. The beach is public, not private so expect to be approached by numerous vendors selling trinkets and trash. It was a very relaxing vacation and the weather was perfect. Overall a relaxing vacation but a large hotel with lots of guests.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great Resort!

The Resort is well laid out, excellent services and even more attentive staff. If you have high expectations for a 5 star resort, this is the place to go. Room was clean, no maintenance issues, cleaners were helpful and ready to help with any cleaning request. The beach is really great, there are lots of palm trees to relax under, the beach waiters are hard working and are quick to make sure your enjoying yourself. All in all this is a place I would go back to.

Riu Palace Aruba: beautiful property...

the grounds, pool and beach front were beautiful, however, the hotel buildings are showing it's age, rooms need to be renovated, we were lucky to receive a renovated room, however, it was located on the second floor with NO elevator, we asked to be changed because of my hip issue I couldn't do 14 days without an elevator...second room was horrible! it had a horrible musty smell, we were ankle deep in water in the shower every single time it was used as it wouldn't drain properly, in addition one [... read more] of the bathroom sinks had draining issues as well and we were constantly finding drain flies in the shower and bathroom area, they sent someone to fix the issues, we were then asked if "things" were fixed :( !!...we were moved to a third room, this room didn't have the musty smell thank God, but the glass shower door was missing, but a shower curtain had replaced the door, but fell off the wall as the pole wasn't long enough to have proper tension against the shower walls and was assisted with cardboard to fill in the additional space that the rod didn't fill in...the lock hinge on our patio door fell out and couldn't lock our door (we were on the first floor) the air conditioning unit didn't go higher than 21*C and was very cold, had to wear my down filled jacket a few nights over PJ's we also had to shut it off completely, we found too many dirty dishes in the dish stacks in the dining room..for the price you are paying, there were too many stupid issues to deal with

Riu Guanacaste: Very nice hotel

We thought the hotel was very nice, workers kept it very clean. The Steakhouse was fantastic and the service was great. Wasn’t too impressed with the Italian restaurant. Waited a long time for our food,like we were forgotten. Can’t really judge the pool as we spent our time at the ocean and the water was beautiful. Drinks at the bar were good. My only complaint was that we asked for a 530am wake-up call on our last day and never got it.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Beautiful beach

The beach was fantastic!!! Entertainment was really good - rooms clean, facilities clean. Friendly staff. The salad bar was yummy, omelets were good, fresh fruit yea great… however, the rest of the food was not great. The most disappointing was the Mexican restaurant… it was horrible and we were in Mexico ( how embarrassing). The drinks were good. If you want a real cappuccino go to the sports bar. But the beach was super wavy and hard to swim. Too bad a high end name like Riu can’t up the food quality and a small place like NYX is able to provide gourmet food.

Riu Palace Antillas: Excellent

Everything was fantastic. We are saving and planning to go back next year. Unfortunately, the entertainment/theatre was under construction later in the week, but that was okay, we walked around the area and visited the sister resort.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Exceptionnel

We loved the food, service, rooms all around a great holiday. We specifically like the fact that all services are easily accessible. We had two young child with us and their was enough activity to keep them busy This was our second stay and will certainly go back.

Riu Guanacaste: GREAT RESORT

AS WE WERE ALREADY IN RIU IN DIFFERENT COUNTRY, WE CAN TELL THAT WE DID LIKE IT ALL OF IT. ROOM FOR OUR 46 WEDDING ANNIVERSARY WAS GREAT, SERVICE IN THE ROOM, GROUNDS - "GARDENS" ARE SUPER NICE RESTAURANTS - FOOD - DRINKS - DESERTS.......................ALL SUPER POOLS AND SWIM UP BAR - SPECIAL WE ARE PLANNING TO VISIT "RIU" AGAIN AND AGAIN....?! WE DID RECOMMEND THIS "RIU" ALREADY TO OUR FRIENDS.....?! SEE YOU ALL SOON ....!

Riu Dunamar: It couldn’t be any better

We made a last min decision and booked a night before departure but in reality we couldn’t have picked a better choice. Staff are amazing. Hard working and all smiles. Rooms are big and clean . Pools are great and bars are very generous in their dispensing. Beach was nice…plenty of lounges.

Riu Reggae: Fabulous Experience!

We loved the Rui Reggae! We had a fabulous experience. The resort was beyond clean, whether it was our room, the bars or the restaurants there was no difference always clean. Staff was so friendly and we felt very safe either in the hotel or walking along the beach to the Rui Montego Bay! We would definitely recommend this resort.

Riu Dunamar: wonderful resort

the food was superb, the grounds immaculate, swimming pools were very clean they just needed a deeper end. The beach was awesome but unfortunately couldn't spend long there as it was so windy. Unfortunately not much to do other than the beach and pools, suggest something like miniature golf, shuffle board, pickle ball, bicycles with a path around the perimeter of resort. Riu Palace Costa Rica: Totally amazing resort

The grounds are extremely well kept and beautiful. The food was 10/10…we were there for 2 weeks and never got tired of the choices..the chefs making omelettes in the morning were top notch. ALL the staff were fantastic…well trained, super friendly. Loved Jordan at the Daiquiri bar, Bariliuo and Ivannia at the Coconut and pool server Steven. That is just a few…oh and Freddy. If I had one fault is that the washrooms are too far from the pool area. I would be making the Riu Fit and Riu Ar [... read more]t into washrooms.

Riu Republica: Amazing Resort

Awesome service, shows, food, ambiance! Would definitely recommend! All of the staff were very nice and welcoming, and there were a great variety of restaurants and activities. We spent most of our time on the beautiful beach, but we also really enjoyed the shows every night and especially the pink party on wednesday!

Riu Emerald Bay: Great family resort!

This was a grand resort. Quite large and had lots of amenities. The main hotel is tall structure, however we stayed in the new addition. No beach views, but the room was great and spacious. Pools were well maintained and beautiful. We could get a spot most days after breakfast. Food was good, no complaints. Bamboo (asian resto) was by far the best! highly recommend making a reso. Given the size of the resort, I was surprised there wasn't more food options. 2 breakfast buffets, 1 lunch bu [... read more]ffet and 1 lunch poolside taco/hamburger bar, and then dinner was 2 buffets, 2 reso restaurants and an Italian type restaurant but not requiring reso. the best part of the resort was the people who worked there. They were all very nice, accommodating and willing to help whenever needed. beach was very nice and well maintained. We went with toddler, and it was very family friendly! Things that could have been improved: - check in was fast, but sloppy. not personalized and they didn't tell us how to get to our room. we wandered 1/2 hour until we figured out we were in the new addition. -the hotel map should have more details on it (room blocks).
