Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Honeymoon Vacation

Was very pleased on the entire trip. The grounds were absolutely stunning, the staff was friendly and the room was very clean. What attention to detail! The food and drinks were great, will be back for sure!

Sol Palmeras: I would recommend this Resort

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this resort was. The lobby area is very nice with plenty of comfortable seating. The evening entertainment was nice in the lounge. The outdoor theatre and water ballet was very nice. The food in the buffet was plentiful. The 4 ala cartes were very good. The bar beverages were good and also plentiful. No food or drink or amenity shortages. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Beautiful large beach area. Lots of palapas. Ea [... read more]sy to get to town. Close to the golf course. The Wifi access throughout the resort is not very strong. I would return.

Melia Las Antillas: Amazing trip from start to finish

The resort was perfect the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had the best time. The service was amazing! Very impressed with Kenia who walked the resort many times during the day. She always chatted and asked us about our day. Very attentive staff wherever we went. The entertainment staff was amazing and had lots of fun activities and great music and shows. We would definitely return ?

Hotel Bella Costa: Great resort!

The staff were all amazing and friendly. We had a large variety of food everyday with no shortages of any kind. The pool and beach was beautiful and clean. They even helped plan a beautiful private dinner for my mom’s birthday. Live shows every night and really just a great ambiance all around. The only thing to note is the rooms are dated but still kept clean. I would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone looking to go to Cuba!

Selectum Family Resort Varadero: Amazing!

I had a wonderful time at the Selectum Family Resort. The staff were awesome. Friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this resort. There was plenty of options at the buffet and the rooms were very clean. The one thing that does need improving is the househousekeeping staff seem to show up at the time you are coming back to your room to get ready for dinner. I understand this is probably due to staff shortages and they don't get to the rooms on the higher floors until later i [... read more]n the day. That being said when asked to come back later they willingly accommodated . Can't wait to come back

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Will come again soon !

Royalton has the nicest beaches, incredibly friendly staff, rooms are wonderful, good value for your dollar. First time in Cuba and will definitely come again soon. This is undoubtedly the best accommodation in the area.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Amazing beach

Dining did not have variety and had poor selection of food. Some was leftover and was not even reheated to serve because it was cold. Service was super slow for coffee and drinks because they were served at table and staff would forget to come by and ask. No coffee for 2 days. Beach was 5 star and room was reasonably good and clean.

Melia Varadero: Lovely resort!

I love that the Melia is situated on a wide expense land right next to the beach. Lots of room to move about, lots of room to sit outside and enjoy the weather and a nightcap! It’s great, having an option to book unlimited visits to one of the three inside restaurants. I especially enjoyed going to the international restaurant and seeing Roberto and Betsy on all three occasions (they are wonderful & their crepes rocked)! All the staff were wonderful (our first housekeeper, and our last housekeeper went above and beyond). The only I can say about the resort is that our room was on the cool side and at night it was too cold (although once under the extra blanket, they provided all was well).

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Small, quiet Reaort

Small , quieter resort. Great clean beach, staff nice. Cleanliness not ideal, bathroom in hotel and public smelled of urine always. Did have a cockroach in room and seen outside. Lots of mosquito and bites. Often no toilet paper, or asked for tip to use. Grounds nice, buildings dated. Food good and plenty considering Cuba.

Selectum Family Resort Varadero: Beautiful resort

Extremely clean, grounds well maintained, design of hotel very unique with greenery in a courtyard off the rooms. Buffet food was good however long wait for grilled meat. Staff friendly and great entertainment. Only issue is lacked outside bathroom necessities.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Moved after 3 days!

This resort was the worst I have ever been too! After no hot water for showers and flooding of the entire room we had enough!! We moved to the Meliá International! The Paradisus Del Mar was the worst of the worst I have ever stayed in Cuba. After 30 years of travelling to Cuba all I can say is “ We Are Done “ I refuse to spend anymore more of our hard earned money here! Roc Barlovento: Absolutely Amazing

The Roc Barlovento was fantastic from the great service we received when we arrived throughout our whole stay. The bartenders, waiters, employees on the beaches were all fantastic. The resort was clean, we always had bottles of water and clean towels every day and the food was great. We will definately be going back to this resort - it is conveniently located close enough to the City to walk or take a horse and buggie whatever you want. Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Grand Aston Varadero

The reviews weren’t great but we took a chance. It’s a brand new hotel and the rooms, beach and hotel are beautiful. It took almost 6 hrs to get a room and front staff seemed very confused with multiple vacationers coming in. There were a lot of issues with food supplies running out daily like coffee certain liquor as well they always ran out of wine. Housekeeping not great we didn’t get clean towels, floors not swept and bathroom not cleaned daily. elevator, hallways and stairwell very dirty a [... read more]nd rarely done. Less than half the staff spoke English and didn’t understand what was asked most of the time but staff always had smiles and were polite. So to sum it up if you are going for some sun great please understand you will not starve or not have booze just not what you want a lot of times price is good so you choose

Club Kawama: Kawama

Just got back from Cuba The resort is beautiful a very quiet, one which I enjoyed. Staff was wonderful and very polite. No need to say anything about the food because it is Cuba but we brought things and went out for pizza and spaghetti and had a great time. Will return there.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Relaxing vacation at Grand Aston!

We had a great vacation at Grand Aston! The hotel is very nice and we enjoyed lounging by the pool. It is true that you must be up early to reserve a chair but it was worth it! The beach was not as nice as other places in Cuba and not a beach suitable for long walks but still lovely to be by the ocean. Animation team was good and we appreciated their efforts trying to get guests engaged, we enjoyed the nightly shows with the synchronized swimming being our favourite! Jorge the housekeeper was wo [... read more]nderful and we got water daily and our towels and sheets were replaced when requested. We did the hop-on-hop-off bus to Varadero from the hotel, I wouldn’t waste a sunny day for this but it was a good way to spend a cloudy afternoon. The food was good, we always found something we enjoyed however it is repetitive. We did not get good service at the buffet, rarely would even get served water but I think this is due to a lack of staff. We did not have issue booking al-a cartes and enjoyed the Cuban and Japanese restaurants. Sports bar was great! It might not be “exceptional” however it provided us a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

Club Kawama: Beautiful older resort

First time in Varadero and very much enjoyed our stay, the grounds were worked at everyday, staff and ground workers were very friendly. Pool was nice but spent most of our time at the amazing beach.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: New resort with it’s issues

It’s a brand new resort that looks really nice until you start to notice all the problems. They run out of supplies and lack attention to cleanliness. With time and training I’m sure it will get better but until then I will be going to other resorts.

Barcelo Solymar: One of my most unsatisfied stays

Hotel is old. Food is below average. But best of all is the bed bugs that's leaving the itching that topped it off. Please take it off the trip central destination list. Some of the staff are great. Front desk upgraded our first disgusting room for an extra 180 dollars and we ended with a nicer bungalow that had the bed bugs. Thanks a lot

Hotel Bella Costa: Bella Costa …. Great resort!

The food was varied and tasty and plentiful. The beach was beautiful. You can walk for many Kilometres. Friendly staff and service. Clean rooms along with comfy beds. I feel like this was a good value for our dollar, so it is without a doubt a hotel where all is done to please the clientele.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Fantastic, fun vacation

Beautiful hotel the staff were absolutely fantastic. There is nothing you could ask them to do for you that they wouldn’t do with a big smile. The food was good nobody would ever stir to death. It’s certainly not a five star Canadian restaurant but there’s nothing wrong with the food, my favourite was the chicken Caesar salad we had fresh omelets every day.
