Grand Memories Punta Cana: Had a few issues

Everything was good. I felt they could’ve replenished more at the Buffet. Ran out of food, fast and they took awhile to replenish. Bar fridge in the room I needed to call to fill the fridge pretty much every day. I know it’s a kids friendly resort, however some kids were really screaming at the quiet pool and I had to ask him to stop screaming!!!

Resonance Blu Varadero: Amazing family resort

The resort was huge and staff were amazing! The kids had a wonderful time at the kids club. The upgrade to diamond club was certainly worth every penny! Private beach area was great. Our favorite meal was at the Japanese restaurant and the buffet on the Wednesday night was just amazing!

Memories Paraiso: Another great stay

Third time visiting this resort- first time since 2014. Beach is beautiful, staff is friendly and would do anything in their power for you. Parts of the hotel are starting to show wear but there were people working on the resort while we were there to update tHe facility.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: excellant resort for relaxing and entertainment

easy to get around...staff very helpful...grounds upkeep is very good...rooms were done up very nice...would recommend this to resort to any of my friends...plenty for food areas to explore...the train runs all the time and takes you to the beach in no time...

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Perfect for the price

Perfect for the price. Heavenly beautiful, friendly staff, good food, peaceful environment, anything you expect for a vacation. We just lived the place. Highly recommended for whoever wants to relax.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: A lovely place for sun, sand, and a drink in your hand

The hotel: overall we found this place very clean and inviting. The lush grounds are meticulously very meticulous kept. The room: we went one up from the basic room to ensure we got a renovated one. Our room was spacious with a sitting area, the furnishings were modern, and the bathroom was nicely renovated. The bed was not the greatest, a little hard, but we still slept well. That bein [... read more]g said, on the day of our departure check out was at noon but our bus to the hotel was not until 6:45pm. So we were allowed a courtesy room for 30 min in the evening so we could shower and change. This room reeked of humidity and mould. I definitely could not have slept in that room. The finishes in that room were also poorly done and kind of well, gross. Hopefully that room is only for showering. The food: people love to complain about the food in Cuba, but honestly we were well fed and enjoyed the food. The buffet was clean and well stocked. The morning pastries were amazing! There was usually a bit of a wait for the pasta bar, but worth it. The staff: this is my second time to Cuba and I did find the staff could have been a little friendlier. They weren’t rude or anything, just not very outgoing. I would have loved to get to know some of them, but they just sort of seemed more interested in getting their job done. The beach: AMAZING!! If you’re a beach person, Cuba is the place to go. The sand is a powdery soft white, and the water is the clearest you’ve ever seen. We took a catamaran/snorkeling excursion but honestly it was not needed. We snorkeled right off the beach and saw tons of fish and starfish, even a bit of coral (there was more coral on the excursion). The one thing that bothered me is that there are signs saying it is not permitted to reserve chairs, but we quickly find out that if you don’t reserve your chairs (which everyone does) you won’t be able to get one until the very end of the day. It was frustrating to see chairs covered with towels sitting empty for hours while other searched for chairs with disappointment. The no chair reserving rule really should be enforced. Entertainment: Good, had lots of fun at the white party. The staff was fun and inviting. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place. If you are looking for something luxurious with gourmet food, this might not be the place for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable, and fun place on a budget, I’d definitely recommend the Memories Caribe

Grand Memories Varadero: Can't Get Enough...Going Back...

I just love this place... I was there in December and i returned with my son's family, and two grandchildren. My 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter was very sick and Raquel Soria Diaz....who is the reason i keep going back, was so quick to get me to the doctor it was amazing.. Such a caring doctor available and reassured me that my granddaughter would be fine. They even gave me pedialite to nourish her for the next few days. I was ever so grateful. I have no problems leaving anything in the room and in the last 11 times i've been have had no problems that haven't been fixed in a timely matter. whatsoever,....... Honestly i have to say we have been talking about visiting Jamaica but have yet to go. We just think we would miss the comfort of what we now consider to be our cuban family. We love the Grand Memories and thanx to Raquel Soria Diaz we always have the best time. so i give Grand Memories a 5/5.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Sanctuary at Grand Memories

Stayed at Sanctuary at Grand Memories from January 18 to 25 Room: perfect Staff: very friendly but they do not speak English. Cuba needs to invest in teaching kids English at early stage, if tourism is their main income. Hotel Lobby: Small for Sanctuary but you have access to Grand memories and other resorts owned by the same company which are much larger Entertainment: perfect WiFi: 3 free hours are offered, you may buy more at 1 CUC per hour. Signal is poor at Lobby, much better in the r [... read more]ooms and Grand memories Lobby. Problem is the one hour disappears in much less time. Restaurant: Very good food, but no investment in good Chiefs. What is good about Salmon, if it has no taste? Restaurant ventilation is very poor and the small in hallways around restaurant is not very good. Currency: rate is different from one location to another, also internet rate is 1 US = 1 CUC, Hotel Bank rate is .87 while the market rate is higher but over charges you. You would be asked to return any CUC at the border so you would line for a while to have it exchanged to find out that Duty Free prices are CUC!!! and they would profit every time exchange is involved. Insects: invisible ones, you feed after and no treatment for it in Cuba, you have bring your own repellant and after bite. Health Care: Also the company owns 4 or 5 resorts side by side and very good percentage of visitors are seniors, it does not have a clinic on site. I have not even seen a First Aid kit. Pests: Cuba is tropical country, you cannot eliminate this but it is a concern if they are around food. My comments are meant to help the company and Cuba improve, I just shared facts. .

Memories Paraiso: Wonderful Resort

In general the location is very good ...the beach and swimming pools are great....restaurants, bars are sufficient and offering a variety of food and drinks....the rooms are not bad but needs maintenance......the green areas are so beautiful and well maintained.

Beautiful beach, not impressed with food, no hot water, air conditioning was not working more than it worked and staff could be friendlier with more entertainment. Wasn’t worth upgrading to diamond club

Resonance Blu Varadero: Great resort and easy on the bank account

For the price this is a great resort! The second we got out of the airport we all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the resort staff, always have a smile. The bar service is generally pretty good. Waited a couple times but that’s to be expected when only 2 servers are on the bar and half the resort is there. The Buffett food isn’t anything special but plenty of it!! The excursions are a touch expensive but worth it to experience Cuba. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Very clean

Was very impressed with the cleanliness of this resort. Garbage cans were very prominent and guests and groundskeepers obviously used them. We were on the 2nd floor in a deluxe room and really enjoyed it. The beach area has many lounges and palapas. Our first week the beach was perfect and the second a lot of weeds came up after a big storm. Big cleanup job. the resort was a superb the room was clean the room was fully stocked. The butler and all the staff were very accommodating.The resort was easy to navigate to all the pools and eating areas and the food was good for what they have to work .My husband and I would go back in a heart beat. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Fun times

We went to the Memories Caribe jan 19, 202 for a week.The resort was excellent our room was clean and sufficient. We particularly enjoyed the entertainment staff. Amazing talented people. The shows through the day and at night were were amazing. Volleyball at the beach was a blast, Michael coordinate s a challenging game. That was the only downfall. The rest of my group were fine. Memories caribe is a great resort to visit for the price.

Sol Turquesa Beach: OK

I have been there 5 times. My view is that it has gone down hill in entertainment, and involvement of visitors who seem to be a much more laid back type. There was only real stage show and a 60's - 70's music night. There was also a beach party which we did not attend. When we first started going there was nightly entertainment of high quality. The beach was ok but not enough shaded areas. The pools were great but not used very much. The staff in the Romantica was the best and the food was great [... read more]. The buffet was great and the staff there went above and beyond. There were a few of those 4 star qualities missing. In the lobby area they no longer provide coasters for under your drinks and quite often they drip on you clothes or the floor/tables. The napkins in the buffet are no longer cloth but small hardly big enough paper towel and normally after one use were unusable. The rooms were average and 2 of 3 couples had to be shifted to new rooms do to things not working. It is under new management and they seem to be attempting to reduce costs. The free ala-cartes were pre assigned and if you did not like their choices had to arrange for a change if there was availability somewhere else. On Wednesday night none were open. They also have made it an adults only which to me does not matter much but we miss the stage show for the kids which always was a nice relaxing time after supper. I would not consider it 4 star at this point. However at the price of $875 per week it was a great deal.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Won't go again

This wasn't the greatest resort right from the start they tried to give us a regular room when we had as diamond club room we had to threaten them to leave if they didn't fix it which they did at 530 in the morning we were so tired from being up for practically 24 hours then we had trouble with them filling the fridge, toilet paper, we had a coffee pot and they never left coffee no matter how many times we asked all in all everything was a real issue and water wasn't supplied like it should have [... read more] been for two people. The food was horrible period and drinks were watered down. Every time you talked to any staff if they understood you they gave you an argument. The entertainment wasn't great either. This is supposed to be adults resort and everything they had including excursions was geared more to the younger groups.

Grand Memories Varadero: Decent resort

Don't expect too much for your room. Food has a lot of room for improvement. If you fly from Vancouver with Sunwing you lose one day(red eyes fly both ways). People are nice but... If I will go again to Cuba, Varadero is not on my list.

Memories Jibacoa: Great resort!

This is a fun resort to go to, lots of talented entertainment and food is really good! The age group is mostly 40 and up but saw some young ones there too .The ala Carte restaurants were excellent and the grounds and plantation well kept and very clean. The rooms were a bit dated , and ours had some things were need for repair but plenty of hot water. Great snorkelling reef off the beach and love the 2 bars down at the beach. I would recommend this resort .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful beach, amazing staff

This is my second time at this resort. The hotel was at capacity this time around which made for bit of inconvenience for room changes. Food was okay but that is to be expected in Cuba. Staff were amazing! grounds were immaculate! beach and pool were awesome. Id recommend. Planning to have our wedding here in January 2021 so hopefully it isn't as pack next time!

Grand Memories Varadero: Not a very good resort

Beaches are amazing people in the villages just try and rip you off resort staff are very rude and the food is terrible every where in Cuba We had several items stolen from are room we told the management they just told us it was are fault we probably forgot to close are doors or we never locked it properly
