Grand Sunset Princess: Sunset Princess Is A Beautiful Resort

If you like lush green gardens and polished marble floors then this is the place for you! Although there are a few places that look a little tired and in need of attention this resort has it all! This was my second time at this resort and we splurged to have a swim out room. Best idea ever and worth the money as it was a treat to be able to walk out of the room and directly off the balcony into the very clean and expansive pool. Ala carte restaurants were booked early so if you like to dine there instead of the buffet restaurant I advise you to book them as soon as you arrive. The Japanese restaurant is by far the best one and is the first one booked. Service was good and had no issues and I am in the customer service industry and my bench mark is quite high. The swim out rooms were clean and beds were reasonably comfortable with a daily stocked fridge that held a limited amount of soft drinks and local beer. A tip to the housekeeping staff on the first day will ensure your looked after ;) The gym was lacking in equipment but enough to get you started on a healthy and relaxing day. A ten minute cab ride will take you to Playa Del Carmen where shopping, restaurants and bars are plentiful. We booked with Sunwing and had no issues booking excursions, I recommend you attend the morning briefing to orient yourself if this is your first time. All in all great value and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: great adult only resort

Lovely hotel with helpful staff and wonderful food. If you want to be near the ocean this is not the resort to stay. 10 min little train ride to beach and then once there no place to sit, no chairs and wall to wall people. If you want a quiet resort with good pools and great service then you will enjoy this resort.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great resort

Rooms were clean, bathrooms fabulous, great food at the buffets. Wifi worked in our room but was an additional charge of $70 for the week. Nice disco, great pool areas so you could decide if you wanted the party pool or not. Beach was a bit rocky in the water, and definitely hard to find a place, pool was almost as difficult to find place to sit and reserve chairs. They being drinks to you at the pool and beach though. Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Excellent Resort

Food, drinks, rooms all excellent. Lots of wildlife and walking. Peacocks were a bit of a nuisance when they "crowed" early in the morning . Highly recommend this resort . Great pools, something for everyone.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Good value and exactly what I expected

We went as a group of 15 people with kids, young adults and grandparents. The resort worked for us. Yes the floors are slippery but nothing crazy. We all booked at different time and got wildly different prices. The resort is large and some rooms are musty while others are perfect - I visited several rooms my group members were in. It is very clean and service around the pools is great. Food is what you'd expect. Lots of it but nothing special. The main restaurant is loud and busy. The restauran [... read more]ts are o.k. - small and lacking but much quieter. We've had much better at comparably priced hotels. The kids club was not inviting. It didn't look opened most days and it was quite exposed to people walking by. None of us felt comfortable leaving our kids there, unlike previous vacations where the kids begged to go. It was a cheap vacation and good value for the price we paid. Ask for a room close to the activity pool, building 18 is ideal.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: A resort and staff that will amaze you!

What a great resort. Fabulous restaurants, bars and drinks! The service was prompt and everything was always accompanied with a smile. Main pool was quite large and perfect temperature. Grounds were well maintained. Many activities planned by the resort just incase you are looking for something to do. I can't wait for a return trip.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Again and again

First but not the last time, clean, well situated and great service. Not our first time in Riviera Maya but this hotel has everything. Really enjoyed our stay. Great snorkling right on the beach, plus close to Tulum and the Mayan piramids, just loved it. As a professional photographer did not have to go far for excelent view and pictorial quality beach suroundings.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: The Valentine Imperial Maya was the nicest resort

This place was amazing so much attention to details. This place was so big , but we stayed in the building number 5. It was a great area that we could walk to everything. I loved the piped in music they were soo helpful. The service was top notch. Going to Maya. Definitely go to the Valentine Imperial Lots of space never felt crowded.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Something for everyone

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Very family friendly though barely aware of the tykes. Great food and exceptionally great staff. We felt very much at home and well taken care of. A definite return destination.

Riu Palace Mexico: Mexican Paradise

The grounds and gardens are beautiful and well-manicured. The cleanliness and attention to detail is really admirable. The rooms were very nice, spacious with comfortable beds and superb showers. We did not find the open concept in the rooms to be an issue. The only negative aspect about the rooms and our general stay at this resort was the slight musty smell in the rooms. The food is incredible, we have stayed at all inclusive in Cuba and DR and I can say this is hands down the best. The food was changed on a constant basis with theme nights at the Don Julian, the large buffet dining area. Everything was tasty and well prepared for dinner. Breakfast items are vast with made to order omelets and eggs prepared in any style possible. If the dining options at the Don Julian become old, there are 4 specialty restaurants to choose from. There is a diverse choice of a la carte restaurants available. The Steakhouse was our favorite restaurant, had a great location next to the beach and the food was top notch. The alcohol is abundant and high end. We enjoyed watching the World Cup during our stay. The bar staff was constantly walking around ensuring everyone was OK for drinks and appetizers. Pool areas are clean, although we spent most of our time at the beach. The beach is amazing, surrounded by palm trees, white sand, clear/turquoise water. There was never a struggle to find a beach chair in the shade or sun. This is was my first time at a Riu Palace Resort and I shall return.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Outstanding Resort!!

The resort was exceptional in all areas. The service and staff were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed all of the different restaurants and buffet themes. There was always a abundance of food and variety. We so much enjoyed our walks around the beautiful grounds and of course along the beach! The resort was very clean and our rooms were lovely!! Royal Hideaway Playacar: Great resort!

The rooms and grounds were excellent. Loved the pool overlooking the beach. We went in January and the pool was not heated and was too cold for swimming which was disappointing. Overall loved the location and the restaurants and food were first class.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: 2nd Visit, would go back in a flash

This isn't your fancy pants, marble and crystal high class type resort. What it is, is a great casual Adults only, for a reasonable price, on one of the best beaches in Mexico. With multiple A la Carte restaurant without need for reservations or long pants, every evening can be a different dinner menu. You can chill out or join in the fun of the animation team. After visiting other Mayan resorts we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Grand Riviera Princess: Nice all inclusive resort - Great Value

I enjoyed this resort the grounds are impeccable the rooms extremely clean and the food decent. The ocean is large rare for this part of Mexico and the beach lunch is great. Burgers, hotdogs, fries and tacos. Particularily liked the bar service on the beach very relaxing. The Spa is nice too for a change of pace enjoyed the disco and the 24 hour sports bar.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Very good resort !

Personnel is outstanding . They always smile and go the distance to help you. Food was very good, Rooms are clean and well maintained. The vegetation is beautiful, and the pools are in a very good shape. On the bad side, the beach is very small.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: amazing resort

excellent hotel and surroundings....trip in the jungle and to maya was unforgettable, excellent food. we booked one trip in the jungle AMAZING , we will recommend to anyone young or adult.the beach was the best

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great Value for Price

We went to this resort as they were changing over to Hard Rock, but didn't notice any disruption in activities or services, etc. We stayed on the adult only side. Our room was quite nice and had everything we needed. Never a problem with not enough towels or room not being made up. We knew going in that the "beach area" was a man-made lagoon, but actually quite enjoyed that as you could swim in calm water and see (and feed) many fish. Would recommend wearing water shoes though. The pools were lo [... read more]vely with lots of activities and entertainment going on, while one was more quiet if that's what you wanted. Food and drinks were very good and there was plenty of variety. Service in the bars and restaurants was also very good. We made sure to always leave a tip for the staff as they work so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. We only attended a couple of evening shows as we like to get up early in the morning so don't stay up too late. We did enjoy the ones we went to though. I wish I had the energy of some of those entertainment staff! We love the resort credit program! We used ours to do some golfing (which was awesome) and to attend the Chef's Dinner (very entertaining, great food and wine, and hilarious table companions) - no trouble making the bookings either. It's been over a year since our stay, so I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Honeymoon was AMAZING!!

The Valentin Imperial Maya was an absolutely incredible choice for my honeymoon! My husband and I loved the beautiful facilities, the relaxing atmosphere, and the activities provided! We would absolutely go back for another vacation here... In a heartbeat!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Beautiful Resort

The resort was beautiful, accomodations very nice and the food was delicious! However if I had known this location had a dolphin show I would not have gone here. Dolphins don't deserve to swim in a concrete tank! Watch The Cove on UTube, for more information on what your are paying for! Otherwise a beautiful place and resort.

Allegro Playacar: Great vacation

We just got back yesterday and stayed for 8 days/7 nights. Check in was fast and easy and they were very welcoming. Our room was nice and had an exceptional view(best anywhere) as we were pretty much right on the beach. The room was a little hot at times as we were on the second floor and had a thatched roof. It could use some updating but we don't spend much time in the room anyways. The beach was amazing and never had a problem finding shade. The buffet was very good with a good selection of f [... read more]ood. The pool bar/snack bar was also very good with great hamburgers. The Mexican a la cart was very good but the Italian was better. We had the romantic lobster dinner on the beach with champagne which was excellent. We never had a problem being ignored like some reviewers had reported but we do tip. We did go to the vacation club sales pitch but the marketing manager Jose Luis made it worth our while. He was very nice. All in all it was a great trip and would have no problem going back in the future.
