Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Great resort

A great resort, amazing staff. Nightly entertainment was alright. When we were shown our room, our jaws dropped. Our room faced a construction site. Workers, noise and dust all day. No mention on website. Very disappointed.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Nice resort

The grounds were in well kept condition. Beach was big with plenty of spots to sit. Room was nice and clean. Pool was big and spacious for all people. Only negative was fair distance to beach area. Other then that it was a good spot.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: 2nd Stay for 2weeks - AMAZING PLACE

We stayed here last year in June for 2wks. This is the first time we've actually returned to the same resort. We're in our 40ies and travel a lot. We stayed here again for 2 wks from June 13th to July 27th this year. Actually ran into another fellow we recognized that was there last year for 2 weeks and back this year again the same as us for the same reasons. The pictures of the resort are exactly what you get. We walked the entire bay of beach line both years and this resort has the cleanest stretch of beach area in the bay. Contributing inland streams (urban storm water), ocean currents and wind currents leave other resort areas with some dirty beaches but this area is beautiful. This resort is small, adults only, and quiet, so its great to relax. If you want to party and are looking for super charged entertainment all day every day this might NOT be your place. That's exactly why we go, to chill, because we work hard and party hard at home Our top criteria for resort travel is 5* beach and 5* room. I'd recommend this resort without hesitation.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great trip!

My husband and I just came back from a week at Breathless and it was fabulous. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and we had the best time. The beach was great and clean. No fighting for a beach chair. The entertainment staff were great, friendly and talented. The food was top notch. Loved the fact that we didn't have to book a la carte dinners and there were options every night, including the resort next door. Everything was clean and modern. We would love to return soon!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Resort

Beautiful resort, I would've liked it to have elevators for people with disability and no seaweeds at the beach but I would recommend it to my friends and family. The surroundings are impressive like the pool area at the Amber Green, I found it very romantic!

Riu Republica: RIU Replublica

Nice clean and modern resort. The grounds are well maintained the food is excellent and the overall feel is relaxing. Friendly staff and a nice boutique style shop is on the property. The free WIFI is a bonus and there is an excellent selection of modern alcoholic beverages

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Not too bad

Staff were really friendly, rooms definitely could use an upgrade. Pools were nice and the beach was amazing. Al a carte restaurants weren't very good but the buffet was usually not bad. All in all a good vacation and I would go back!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Lovely resort

This is our second time visiting this resort and again we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, food was fantastic with a huge variety every day, beach was excellent with great snorkelling right off the beach. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We had another amazing vacation at the Grand Bahia El Portillo and would go back again. A lovely family resort.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Nice resort - we go there mostly to kitesurf and surf.

We also really enjoy being able to walk to the village by the beach - nice to get out of the resort. Would also highly recommend a trip to Damajagua, the Teleferico and old town in Puerto Plato ( check out El Bergantin restaurant in the old Ladies Club) and Monkey Jungle. One wish only - beach resto is so beautiful for lunch but needs a little more for their menu - maybe just a pasta or tortilla bar...

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Good Resort

Room was older but okay Beach was very nice Food was okay Nightly shows were good Disco was good Bartenders were great Snack bar at the water was great for lunch everyday Entertainment at pool good Souvenir shops on resort a little pricey Mosquito, Spaghetti, Chocolate and David were amazing and Brian at the front desk Great variety of excursions at okay prices

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: As expected

After reading multiple reviews on various web sites we had a good idea what to expect. The resort is well laid out, the facilities are new and well done. This property is small compared to most all inclusive places we've been to. Service was good not great as was the food. Resort shares with nicolodeon which didn't have any effect on us, kids were around - so what. We liked that most of the patrons were from the UK, found similar levels of politeness to us Canadians.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Family Vacation

We have 2 families spent 5 days vacation on this resort. The food was great and room was average. Beware of staff wearing yellow shirt and they eating your time to get you H10 membership or timeshare. All ala carte restaurant are priority with H10 members and we waited for 2 hours before getting a table. The toilet flush was broken and keeps promise to send someone to fix, but no one show up. My family went in Cuba last year the beach was so beautiful, clean and clear water and I can't compare to this stinky dark ocean. This is our first time to dominican republic, and would not definitely going back to OCEAN BLUE RESORT. I would not recommend this resort to my friends or anyone.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Good resort

Good hotel for the money. Good beach area great staff. The pool is terrible way to small for the amount of people. Water is never crystal clear in any of the riu ressot pools I have stayed at. Construction was our view from the room. This should have been mentioned.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Beautiful!!

This place is amazing if you're looking for a laid back tropical paradise. Beaches are stunning, water is beautiful and fun to play in. Rooms are very generous and we had the cheapest room at the resort! You should go check it out!

Grand Bavaro Princess: great resort,

we loved the resort all was good. except when we got there are luggage didn't get to our room till three hours after we did , and that was after calls to desk . when it came it looked like someone riffled thru my bag , shaving kit was emptied in bag and watch missing. then when leaving we brought our bags to front gave bellhop ticket . we get on bus to airport when we arrive no luggage, the sunwing reps got on phone and got them there . she was great . but upon arriving home my shaving kit was m [... read more]issing , along with all jewelery that I purchased there. the resort was nice , the guest were without manners. rude and poorly dressed for dinner at ala carts

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: amazing resort

I found the property is amazing. Really enjoyed the entertainment at the Lobby in the evening. Will go again..... had a great family vacation. The staff/service were great. The resort will need to improve the beach towel service. Not enough towels and the staff kept giving us dirty/used ones. This is my 5th time at Bahia Principe Punta Cana. Found the food quality has declined from my last visit in 2015. My first visit the food at Punta Cana Resort was amazing with a variety of c [... read more]hoices daily. The food at the buffet Amber Blue was always the same, and no live entertainment during dinner.

Occidental Caribe: Not impressed

The beaches were stunning, strong currents so had to be cautious when going in water. The resort it self was certainly disappointing. Had an upgraded room and have no idea what was upgraded. Water trickled out of shower. More pressure in the sink tap. Beach towels and room towels were an issue, never knew if you would get them. Fridge never stocked from day to day. Cayo Levantado Resort: Great all-inclusive, but not "luxurious"

This is a great all-inclusive in an absolutely beautiful location, but if you're looking for something decidedly "luxurious" or "upscale" then you might need to look elsewhere and probably splurge and spend a bit more. We came for our honeymoon in mid-June 2017, after having had stayed here 5 years ago. We chose this resort because we particularly liked that it was on a quite and secluded island (it still is). There's not a lot to complain about, but there isn't much to be truly excited about either, with the exception of exquisite nature surrounding the grounds and the peace and quite pace of the resort. The food was average for an all-inclusive, including the a la carte restaurants. The a la cartes were better quality and flavour than the buffet, but we noticed that the quality of dinning had declined since we had last stayed. The gala dinner at the buffet was probably one of the better meals, but this is offered only once per week (on a Thursday when we went). There are three a la carte restaurants: Brazilian steakhouse (Rodizio?), Portofino, Mediterranean, and gourmet Don Pablo. Don Pablo was probably the best one with better quality and certainly better service. We skipped the Mediterranean because we went to the Gala dinner instead. It's really a hit or miss with the dishes, but the steak and lamb generally stood out to us. The general atmosphere was the same has it had been 5 years earlier--lots of vegetation; two regular pools, one large whirlpool, and a beach. We went in June (lower season) and were very happy at the lack of crowds and plenty of space in pools, lounge chairs and sun huts. The beach had two sides--one side was always windy and therefore the water was wavier (which can be fun), and the other side more calm. There was some seaweed but generally the beach was clean and tidy. Service was great for the most part. We were staying in a villa and were assigned a "butler" but we never saw the butler again after the first day. Not really sure what the purpose of the butler was besides helping guests to order special pillows and scents for the room. Room service was available but the food was limited and the quality was poor (pizza was not good)! Rooms were generally clean. We thought that the quality of cleaning service may have declined though because they no longer made those fancy towel swans or put flowers on the bed like they used to. The bathroom also had sewer odours on some days too, especially when it rained! Request for a higher floor for a better view! We have now stayed in a villa and in the main building (5 years ago), and the rooms are generally both pretty good as it is a smaller resort. All in all, this is a great all-inclusive uniquely situated on a beautiful island. I would recommend, but if you're looking for a truly luxurious experience you probably have to look elsewhere.

Riu Republica: Beautiful Resort

This is my second time at this resort. It is so nice and clean. The staff are wonderful and entertainment staff are amazing. Definitely will go back. Overall amazing vacation and friendly people 😉 from all parts of the world

Riu Palace Macao: Amazing Resort

Was a little sceptical about going back to the Dominican republic but really loved this resort the food was amazing and the staff were freindly and helpful. We did have one issue with our room it extremely noisy our room backed on to the Rui bamboo wich is under construction lots noise early morning and late at night ,the second day we complained and with in our third day the up graded us free to a better room excellent customer service made our vacation great!!
