Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort!!!

Was a wonderful trip, the flight on time, the bus service, excellent service, and the resort , all in general Good Resort, service, food etc... Just I have one problem, everyday .., I have problem with the key (card), I have to sep up the new one

Club Kawama: Trip number 5, in November

This resort is better each time I visit, I don't go for the food but it is average, but good for Cuba. Main pool is amazing, and so is the staff. Rooms vary but have never had to change due to a ( bad ) room....this resort is very large, I prefer a room close to the pool, lobby, beach and buffet.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Perfect Vacation

What a perfect way to end the summer. My husband and I spent the last week of August in one of the most beautiful resorts in Cuba. Everything about this resort was awesome from check in to check out. Our favourite time was spent at Mike's Cafe. The only unfortunate thing is, we waited too long to book, and the price went up $50 a ticket.

Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful

Rooms were a little dated, but were clean. The grounds were well keep and easy to map the different areas. The beach was wonderful! Entertainment daily to enjoy. The food was good, you should not be hungry. Staff were very pleasant to talk to. We had a great vacation.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: beautiful beach and pool area

Beach was beautiful, pool area was nice, lobby and main restaurant needed A/C or fans. Rooms were a little dated and in need of general repairs. Staff on the whole were extremely friendly and willing to help in any way. We stayed 2 weeks and found that during the second week our room was not always cleaned and for 3 days we had no clean towels and was told there were none available!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Exceptional amenities, staff and beach!

We have been to Cuba nine times and this resort is by far the best we have experienced. The staff was very professional, courteous and went the extra mile to make our anniversary special. We even had the services of a butler to attend to our needs throughout our stay, a great value add. The meals were delicious. We were lucky to have a private table set up for us on the beach for our anniversary dinner. The garden view room was spotless and spacious. Resonance Blu Varadero: Great place for the money!!!

My wife, daughter and her friend visited this resort september 3 to 10 this year. We got our trip at an amazing price. The only real complaint we had was the food. We've been to Cuba 3 times so we knew not to have high expectations for the food, but to be quite honest the food was awful. The main diningroom is an open area and we found the flies were overwhelming. I know they have no control over the flies , but coming back to your table and finding flies in your food and coffee is a bit much. t [... read more]here were also many birds flying around in the dining area. I actually saw a bird tasting someones food when they turned their back. Now on to the positive. The staff were awesome!!! The bartenders at the quiet pool always made sure our drinks were full. thanks Xaviar and Boris. You made our trip memorable!!! I would advise anyone choosing this resort to upgrade to diamond club. Well worth the extra money. Leo , Yeni and staff are also amazing!! Leo could be found everywhere on the resort making sure that no one needed a thing. They seemed to go out of their way to make sure everyones trip was good. The bartenders on the diamond club beach were also great. Thanks ladies!! We stayed in room 2415 and 2405. We found this location pretty much central. This is a big resort, so we were pretty much happy with the location. Our room was big and always clean. Thanks to our housekeeper Eeleen. We plan on returning here next year. Hope though the food does improve though. Maybe screening in dining area would take care of the bird and fly problem. All in all good resort. Great trip!!!

Barcelo Solymar: Amazing Time!!

Front desk staff were extremely slow, not a very customer service oriented place, you really need to be persistent with the staff if you need something but if you don't depend on them it's AMAZING!!!!

Melia Las Americas: Amazing Vacation.... Great Resort

What a great place to vacation! The people are great! The service was amazing. The food was delicious! The rooms were very well kept and maintained! The beach was beautiful! This hotel is at the end of the peninsula. It's not on the 20 km stretch of beach, but it's on a beautiful beach shared by only 3 hotels. Truly a Cuban 5 star! :-)

Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful resort and beach

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. There was always something going on at the beach or pool or after dinner entertainment! The food was plentiful but a little plain. Great massage at the spa! The lobby was a great place to gather later in the evening. There was usually a group of musicians playing...quite enjoyable.

Roc Barlovento: my home away from home

been going to this hotel for many years, 3 or 4 times a year, the personnel is wonderfull if you are polite and of course a peso or two always helps. close to downtown, many restaurants in the area if you want to go out, and now since no children, even better for us oldtimers. the rooms are always clean, the bar, excellent, Josep will make you a Josep special, and its delicious. the pool cleaned every morning, the beach in front of the hotel always cleaned also. at different times of the year, t [... read more]he food may be better than other times, but this is Cuba, not Quebec city or Toronto. they dont always have the ingredients. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice Time. Not a 5 Star

The hotel grounds are beautiful, lots of pools and the beach is just beautiful. However the hotel is definitely not a 5 star resort. We found that the cleanliness of the hotel was lacking for example no soap in the lobby washrooms, no soap for the cooks that are dealing with raw chicken and beef they would only rinse there hands which was a bit concerning. The beach chairs were a hard plastic which was very uncomfortable usually hotels have the mesh kind that are a lot more comfortable. The room [... read more]s are spacious however lights did not work and towels and sheets are clean but they have all have stains on them. Food wise is was just OK I'm usually not a very picky person and I usually always find something to eat however in this hotel I found that the selection was very sparse and was disappointed with the snack bar. Usually snack bars always have french fries or will make them on the spot but this hotel's snack bar only had pizza and sometimes burgers and if you asked for fries it was only made for room service ? which was disappointing. Overall our trip was nice would we come back to this specific hotel, probably not I'm sure it was once a 5 star but as it stands right now I would say its a 3.5/4 star resort.

Memories Jibacoa: Better than expected

Even though the resort is located in Cuban countryside, it still offers lots of fun if you are looking for it. If not, you can have a quiet vacation. The staff is very helpful and will assist you any way they can. I recommend establishing friendly relationships with the staff, this will allow you to better understand the resort and Cuba in general. Ask questions, if the staff member you ask cannot help, they will find someone else who can. Was not too crowded, there was always plenty of space on [... read more] the beach any time of the day. No mosquitoes, even at night, don't know how to explain this. I recommend to venture outside the resort for a walk to see real Cuba. The food in the buffet is great, something new every day. Snorkeling is not as great and scenic as expected, but it is probably because I am just not into snorkeling, only did it a couple of times. Although the hotel brochure states that tips are not accepted, the experience proved otherwise. It is easy to tip to the resort staff, they truly deserve it. The shows at night are great and authentic, giving you the taste of Caribbean/Latin American music and dance. Bring more cash than you think you'll need considering the relative remoteness of the area, was not a lot of fun having to count the remaining funds every day towards the end of vacation.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Excellent Resort in Varadero

My first trip to Cuba and I really enjoyed it! The resort was excellent, the people were wonderful (very friendly). The food was very good with lots of variety, it had many places to eat. Mike's Cafe made some very good coffees all day long. They gave premium alcohol (Kahlua, scotch, whiskey,etc) great entertainment, nice pool and beach location. Melia Las Americas: Fabulous resort

This resort was absolutely beautiful. It is clean, the staff is amazing and very friendly, beautiful beach, workout room, numerous pools. The food was catered to Canadians, salad bar, fresh fish everyday, fresh fruit. Would definitely recommend this place.

Melia Las Americas: really enjoyable vacation

Astonishing view on sea from lobby hotel,and patio with coffee tables just to see this amazing view...very nice staff, excellent food and a la care restaurants. Every night in lobby pianists play nice music ,show in theater,and string quartet music in a la carte restaurants.

Sol Varadero Beach: Good Resort. Not great, but good.

Only real complaint was that the buffet food was iffy at best, the pools were not very deep, and there was no free wifi, which was pretty huge for me. however the staff were helpful, the room was clean, and the TV had HBO!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Best Time Ever

What an awesome place...First of all, the employees are the nicest people I have ever met.Taking great care of my needs was their first thing every day. Altho the first thing they did was shake my hand or give me high 5s or even hugs and say my name. Of all the countries I have travelled the people here have been the nicest and most hard working. The food was great and I can be pretty picky. The grounds and pool and beach area are wonderful.

Everything from reception to the gardeners, entertainment, food, cigar bar, was excellent. The staff was very friendly and ready to help you. The resort very clean and again the staff professional and quick to respond to your needs. Good job!

The hotel overall very clean, the staff are friendly. We enjoyed the stay and would go back. We enjoyed the varieaty of food daily. The buffet was organized and the employees were friendly. A family friendly hotel for sure.
