Hotel Bella Costa: Breezes Bella Costa Experience

My name is Edmond. I stayed in that hotel on July 2014 for a week. It was my first trip to Cuba. I had a great time, the service was excellent, all staff was very polite. The beach was one of the best I've ever seen. I'm planning of going back to that place whenever I find time. I would recommend anyone to stay in that place. It's worth for the money payed.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Lovely

We stayed at this resort in March 2014 and absolutely loved it. The rooms were spacious and having the option of a shower as well as a tub was a bonus. Golf carts were available to take you to your room if you preferred to ride or had health issues that prevented you from walking. The buffet was the best we have experienced in Cuba with a large selection to choose form and a nightly 'feature' item which included Roast Beef, Lobster, Roast Pork and Turkey. One of my favourite things at this resort was the Coffee Bar - what a great way to start your morning with a freshly made latte or cappuccino - absolutely delicious. There are no better beaches than in Cuba. We found you did have to get to the beach early if you wanted a Palpa(?) for shade. No problem for us since we were early risers. The beach did tend to be a little crowded as the pool didn't seem to be used by as many people as you would normally see (probably due to lack of shade) I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Club Kawama: GREAT priced getaway

Club Kawama was a very central point and we enjoyed the beach and pool and the BAR was super, as were the staff, It is an easy walk to the local flea markets and transportation on the Hop and Go bus. We had a great vacation and will return someday again.

Hotel Los Cactus: NOT a party resort, overall OK stay

Firstly, the food here was pretty good considering what I've heard about other resorts in Cuba. The beach was beautiful, and the weather was pretty nice and only rained for a few hours in the evening. I am 21 years old, and let this be clear it is NOT a party resort. This is not the type of place to go if you're just going to drink and have fun, there wasn't many young people at this resort but going out to the clubs made it worth it. The staff there was okay, some were friendly and other staff  [... read more]were just plain rude. Water kept leaking into our room and it would take them hours to come and fix it. Staff spoke badly about us in Spanish (they did not know one of my friends could understand them). The bartenders were also rude at times because there was about 7 of us asking for drinks at the same time. Other than that we had an amazing day, the rooms were kept clean and it was pretty decent. I would recommend this hotel for someone who doesn't care too much for the resort party scene.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Wonderful Resort

Best Resort that have stayed in Varadero. The staff was very friend. The Restaurant were very good. Very Clean Resort. Good food variety to choose from. Good Drinks, Beautiful Beach you could walk for every. Just like Paradise. Great Price

Sol Varadero Beach: Good Resort

The hotel was very good, all was wonderful with the exception of the food....could be better. I might add that this might not be the hotel only but it seems that in Cuba the food served at most hotels in Varadero needs improvement.

Melia Marina Varadero: Melia Marina exceeded my expectations!

Amazing, speedy service from the most friendly and helpful staff! This was my second trip to Cuba and my first stay at Melia Marina and I honestly won't be going anywhere else. The resort was safe, clean, and modern. The rooms have every comfort you could possibly imagine and the resort has a lot of extras (nightly shows, bowling, stores, fishing, night clubs, bars etc) to keep you busy for the entire trip! The food at Melia Marina was delicious and they had a large variety to choose from! I can't wait to return. The pictures on their website don't even do the resort justice, it's a must see!

Melia Peninsula Varadero: You don't always get what you pay for :(

The resort was okay and clean. Best part was the Japanese restaurant, Jose was an awesome host. There were 7 of us travelling together and we paid 40 each for an upgrade, for the elegance package which was suppose to include a bottle of rum, bathrobes, extra dinner reservations and Beach party.... unfortunately even after repeated attempts with our travel rep, we didn't get our robes and two rooms didnt receive their rum... extra dinner reservations were given to anyone who asked whether they pa [... read more]id the extra or not, and the Beach party was lame. I would recommend the hotel if you get a good deal on the price, but save your money on the upgrade, the bottle of rum we got in our room can be bought at hotel market for $3.10 and our upgrade costs us $80.00 per couple... The people in cuba are very friendly, and it is very safe. I would recommend you take a trip to Havana, the culture and history is beautiful. We took a private tour, instead of getting on the bus. It was more personal and we got to see so much more. Ask around for the best prices.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts - Veradero Cuba

This hotel ranks at the top for Cuba visitors. The beach is fabulous and you definitely need to upgrade to Royal Service. The pool was hot and required more daily maintainence. I am fussy when it comes to eating and I never went home hungry!

Resonance Blu Varadero: Awesome trip

This is my 3rd time to go to memories Varadero. It is my favorite resort. Good service, clean & very cozy. Food was good. Entertainment was so good. Never a dull moment!. LOTS OF FUN!!!!. I will definitely recommend it to my family & friends.

Muthu Playa Varadero: #1 favorite place!

I have stayed at this resort many times, and will continue to do so! Rooms are always clean, and the staff is simply amazing... truly makes all the difference compared to the other resorts that I have stayed at.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great resort. Would stay there again!

The resort was great. The staff, very helpful & friendly. We stayed in the 63 block bldg. & the location was quite central; to the main lobby, pool & beach. There was a small issue with some tiny ants. We notified the front desk & they raided our room. I had read reviews that we shouldn't have stayed in rooms located on ground level. Our friends had a room on the 2nd floor & still had the same issue. But like I said it was taken care of ASAP. You have to realize your in a tropical location. The  [... read more]other issue we had is regarding beach towels. Hold on to them like their gold. The resort must of had some problem getting clean towels because we had the same towel for 3 days. After that, towels were available daily. The resort has 3 restaurants; Italian, Steakhouse & Chinese. Our group didn't go to the Chinese restaurant. The other 2 were quite good. I had heard stories about the quality of food in Cuba. I have to say it wasn't a problem. There was always something that would appeal to you. The buffet area had 2 chefs cooking stuff like fish, chops, chicken, beef on the spot. A friend of ours had an issue with calling home. She called from an authorized phone both near the lobby & they charged her 2.10 pesos while there wasn't a connection. Best to tell your family & friends you will send them a text or email. You could pick up a wi-fi card for 4.90 pesos, which gives 1 hour of use. We took a private trip into Havana & that was great. All in all the vacation was fantastic. We had a fun group of friends & it's what you make of it. Before you go you should go to the dollar store & pick up some toothbrushes, toothpaste, small things for kids to leave your chambermaid. These items are quite costly in Cuba. The people are fantastic & for people in our group who had been to Cuba before, they said that the resort was fantastic & a lot has changed.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Was Ok

Resort was ok, but I wouldn't go back. It was clean, staff was friendly (for the most part), but the room we were in was very noisy due to the disco from the next resort over. As usual for Cuba, the Japanese ala Carte was quite good, but the rest of the food was terrible, especially the buffet. I ate bread, pizza and cabbage pretty much all week. My sister was sick from the food by the third day. I would have more enjoyed drinking rum in the bar than I did the "Rum Massage". Oh and did I mention the toilet paper was more like tissue wrapping paper.....

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great resort

Because of it previous great ratings -it has become very popular. the hotel was full the week of aug 10th 2014 and probably understaffed. we had to wait for the checking-in at least an hour-with everyone tired and pushing to talk to the receptionist -it seems at that time only 2-or 3. obviously not enough staffing and not well organized. That was our first impression !! and it was 30 degrees or more. In this heat , especially in the summer months -we should absolutely recommend to the hotel -and probably all the cuba's hotels to install much more umbrella's on the beach and around the pools. THIS IS OUR ONLY WAY TO SURVIVE THE HEAT AND SUNSHINE FROM 11H- TO 16H00 !! WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE AN UMBRELLA EVERY DAY BECAUSE MY HUSBAND HAD TO WAKE UP AT 6H30 AND GO PUT OUR TOWELS ON THE BEACHCHAIRS BEFORE 7H00 AM ! WE HAD BROUGHT OUR COLOUR TOWEL FROM HOME SO WE CAN IDENTIFY OUR PLACE. we have witnessed a big fight between tourist's about the umbrella's - what a shame! to get so uptset in your vacation! which should be relaxed and calm. Afterall our trip was a great escape - for beach, and beautiful warm water,swimming all day, and entertainment at night. the servers were very helpful. My husband got to see the sunrise everyday -spectacular - and would have his morning walk. he convinced me to get up to see the sunrise on the beach- unforgetable!!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

We spent one glorious week at the Royal Hicacos Resort. The room was perfect, the food was excellent - lots of variety and always available, the service was awesome - staff would take the time and ask us if we needed anything. The beach and pools were wonderful. We will definitely return to this Resort. Thanks to the staff at Tripcentral for all their expertise and guidance.

Starfish Jibacoa: Loved it!

We really had a wonderful time - the resort was cozy, had everything we wanted (snorkeling, excursions, hiking half-day trip, great patio bar, tennis), we were told it was almost full, but didn't feel like there was too many people at all!! Liked the wild non-resort beach that is nearby... The food was better than in the other Cuban resorts I've been to. Night life could be better, but there was still something going on every night. We had fun!!!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great week !

I had been to Royal Hicacos 5 or 6 times but not in the last 6 years . I was simply amazed that many of the staff recognized me and did their absolute best to make us comfortable......it felt like going home to friends

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Had its goods and bads

This resort has seen its better days. Very dark halls and stairways. They seemed to stretch out light bulbs as they burn out, bring a flashlight and bug spay. Food was decent. The beach was great with interesting rocks at each end to seclude it from the other resorts in that area.

Grand Memories Varadero: Best Vacation Ever !!!

My husband and I arrived Aug 9th and were booked in a superior room, however were immediately upgraded to a Junior Suite in the Deluxe Adults only section...OMG it was wonderful, our room was just lovely, and the private pool, restaurant, and bar were great !!! We did venture to the main buffet and found the food to be very good there as well as the service. The resort is very clean, pools were clean, and service was spectacular !!! Would go back again in a heart beat !!!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: not bad

Food better than expected from Cuba, but cleanliness not so good (plates dirty). Service OK, but everybody looking for tips and trying to scam tourists. Do not get the Havana Trip from resort reps. They Charge 180$ for an 8 hr. trip with others. Take a taxi ride with Julio Cesar (drives older fiat) who will spend the whole day showing you Havana and adjust the route to your preferences for 100-120$.
