Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Excellent resort

Great food, great services, great people. Scuba dive shop on site. Big standart rooms with concierge in all blocks. Beach somewhat small. Buts lots of pools including a "running river" that kids had lots of fun with. NOt far from some mayan arcgeological sites. Only cons : Still haven't figure out why gym is about half a kilometer from nearest . room. Overall 4.5 out of 5

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: 5th vaca with a Tripcentral GBP #1

We stayed at the GBP, Coba for 7 nights in April 2014 and it was the best vacation ever. It's perfect for all ages and all types. The service, quality and grounds are incredible. Def will be returning!

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: mostly great

The property, staff location and food were all average to great!!! What turned us off was upon arrival we were practically forced to transfer to the upgrade hotel across the street for 2 days. Found out later many others were moved too! Excuse for us; no lock on door. Made it seem like they were doing us a big favour. In fact there not; we have only a few days and hours of vacation and we lost in total 7 hours - they did this to 6-8 other couples we know of that week! Up selling?!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Excellent Resort

The resort was fabulous, it was very large and took us a couple of days to get to know where things were located and how to get there. The only shortfall was the construction, but at least one could see that this resort is being well maintained. The rooms were gorgeous, loved the hot tub and the multi-shower heads for a full body shower. It is a beautiful place to stay.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Exceeded expectations!

Sandos caracol was so much more than your typical all inclusive resort. It was a unique experience that my Husband and I won't soon forget! There is so much to see and do right on the resort...I'm not sure it's even possible to take it all in within a week! The entertainment was exceptional, the cenote was so chill and refreshing, the spa was heavenly, loved the romantic boat ride...I could go on. Sandos is in a league of their own, and we will return. Riu Tequila: very nice clean resort with beautiful beach .

The beach is what stands out in my mind from first impressions upon arrival. Check in was very quick . Next stop to our room which was clean with 2 beds pushed together with a shower , no bathtub, flatscreen T.V. bathroom does not give privacy. No coffee maker in room. Buffet for the first night was excellent with many choices, clean, great Mexican atmosphere, good service. There is no buffet open for lunch, its by the pool. A disappointment. When at the beach we went to get a drink and where told you can,t come here to have one you have to go over there. Lunch buffet at Yucatan are open to heat and food not that good. We had a later departure and they wanted 60 us dollars to keep our room for 3 hours. We declined and had to carry our money and passport around with us . I would go back if there was a great deal otherwise there are better resorts in the area for what they charge. . It was a nice trip but we are used to an air conditioned buffet for lunch, for what we paid that is to be expected. No room service, no pool or beach service.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: clean and relaxing resort

staff are very friendly,food is good. Resort is quiet. Food was good,but they ran out of some items very quickly. Our room was next to the main road leading into the resort and the noise was awakening us at 5 in the morning.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: fantastic

everything was up to snuff great people service could use better music at pools seems like you are catering to the 18 year olds and not the people who spend money but that is minor compared to the overall picture more nightlife and kids activities

Oasis Tulum: Don't do it.

Excited for a small charming resort, no such luck. No beach chairs (people actually chained them up at night), inconvenient washroom locations. Bad service, no bottled water, no towels, room fridge never stocked. Supposed to have the honeymoon package, but declined on arrival. Entertainment staff was probably our favourite thing about this place (Benzi!). Akumal Beach Resort: A Fantastic First Family Vacation!

Better to write late than never. It was such a memorable vacation that that my oldest step-daughter decided to make a book out of it using Shutterfly and gave it to us as a gift last Christmas. It's entitled " Going Tropical" and the first page says " Paradise Found". Akumal Beach Resort was a dream come true for our blended family. After receiving an inheritance from my father's passing, we took 5 out of 6 of our children on a first family vacation. Regrettably, the only one missing was my 23 s [... read more]on who decided to go to Cuba with his girlfriend. We traveled April 27th to May 4th, 2013. We were a party of 8, with children ages 9, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 25. My husband and I were 49 and 46. Three out of the children had never been South before. My husband and I had honeymooned at the Grand Sirenis six years prior. We loved the smaller Akumal Beach better. It won hands down for it's superb staff, cleanliness and freshness of food, a breathtaking sheltered beach and most importantly, fantastic snorkeling with turtles and a variety of tropical fish. We had 3 rooms. My husband, our 9 yr. old and I were in section 6 on the lower level and the others were by the pool on the 1st and 3rd level. Having done some research, we had requested bed toppers upon reservations and non-smoking rooms. We honestly could not find fault with anything except for some musty smelling pillows which were quickly replaced. We enjoyed all activities on site and also visited the beautiful ruins of Tulum, did a full day at Xcaret and a morning snorkeling session at Yal-Ku lagoon. We had visited Xel-Ha on our first visit. We enjoyed shopping in Akumal village as well as the Cancun airport for authentic souvenirs. We did not venture into Playa Del Carmen. The Akumal Beach Resort staff and manager were genuinely some of the most friendly that I have ever met. Having been raised in Cheticamp, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and having grown up in the hospitality industry as my family had a hotel/restaurant, I recognize and truly appreciate great service. We look forward to going back to the newly renovated Akumal Beach in August of 2015 to see the hatching of the turtles and to visit with the Akumal Beach family.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Great vacation

Downtown Playa Del Carmen, near shopping, entertainment and restaurants. Chose an oceanfront room that was beautiful and spacious. Hotel staff are wonderful. 2 disappointments: the beach directly in front of the hotel and the hotel food.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Amazing Resort

The whole resort was a wonderful experience, grounds were immaculate, food was amazing, we have been there twice and look forward to going again! Pools were clean, and never over crowded. Main lobby bar was great, loved the river, and the Indians great show!

Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing Place

Best service, the waiters are very nice, everything is clean, rooms are big, Food is perfect and you must go to all the A la carte restaurants, especial the French one. If I have the chance, I will definitely go again..

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: The absolute BEST if you have kids!

We had one goal in mind: to provide our 4 year old daughter with the absolute best vacation she could have as a child, and: we couldn't have been any happier! Special thanks to Gerardo, Virginia, Lucy (Family Concierge), and Gilberto (Captain of the restaurant at breakfast time). If you adore your kids and want the BEST, do not hesitate, just go to this resort, you will never regret it! Room Tip: If you can, definitely go with the Family Concierge service, it's worth every penny (and more)!

Ocean Maya Royale: Ocean maya

The grounds were beautiful, food was decent. They overbooked and made us stay at their sister hotel 20 mins down the road, which was a decent hotel and then transferred back the next night and was upgraded to privilege! I left my hair dryer accidentky at the first hotel and they were going to charge me $36 American to retrieve it, super disappointing. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Wonderful vacation

Had a super time...only wish we had a few more days to enjoy the catamaran trip that was cancelled on us and would have loved to have gone on the excursion to Chichen Itza. Would love to return next year.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: a great time

We really enjoyed our vacation at Tulum Grounds are immaculate, food excellent with lots of variety, room slightly dated but spread out buildings are a benefit. Wish there was a better beach but overall a very nice place.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great resort

Second time there everything very good. We like the way we can go from one hotel to another, and any buffet or pool, beach was great and easy to get to from akumal. The filet mignon was terrible at the Japanese restaurant, it was like rubber, not beef, otherwise the food was great.

Grand Sunset Princess: My favorite.....great resort

The grounds are spectacular ...and the entertainment is top notch ...this is my second trip back and there will be a third '!!!!!!! The staff are so friendly and they definitely treat you extremely we'll. great food and drinks
