Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing new resort!

Great new resort. Was there with my wife first 2 weeks of August. Everyone was friendly and enjoyable to be around with some of the staff. Made new friends. The beach was very lovely with crystal clear ocean. The food was good - no complains, you need to choose what you like and let them know how to prepare it . Nice variety of food in the buffet for everyone's taste. We had the opportunity to dine in all the 3, plus the level, reservation restaurants. All were good. Overall all was amazing, except for our first room ( AC was working very strong - was like sleeping in a freezer- if this happens to anyone, please inform the customer service lady -,where she was very helpful ( after our 12th day stay) sending a repairman to see the room & making us change rooms - do not inform the lobby ( on our fourth day we tried explain the front desk how cold and wet our room was - only telling us the humidity comes with Cuba and not doing anything about it - little disappointing), after our 12th day- customer service went around the buffet tables - asking about our stay ( we told her about our room) without any questions she offered us to change rooms - we were able to change room to the 6th level.....Very comfortable room with all upgrades for our last 2 nights....We thought the entire hotel had the same cold rooms, until we changed room to comfort! This will definitely make us return back!! One advise, all rooms should have the same upgrades like the level- best bath /beach towels.....very clean.

Barcelo Solymar: Fabulous Resort

Really enjoyed my time at the Barcelo Solymar! Friendly, helpful staff and when there was a glitch with our reservation we received and upgrade which was far beyond our expectations..! The beach and surrounding resort were beautiful and I would recommend it to all my friends..!!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort!

We had an an amazing holiday at this resort. We stayed in the Royal Service section, which we highly recommend. The service was great, and the food was incredible for Cuba. This section offers a private pool, an amazing restaurant, and a private beach area. Our room had an ocean view, which was wonderful. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles. The proximity to Havana is great, and one should not miss that excursion.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Garbage. Wouldn't go back for free (seriously)

...I don't know where to start. I'll get one thing out of the way: beach was beautiful. It is varadero after all. Everything else was awful. The food was garbage, unless you enjoy eating cheap ham sandwiches and hamburgers for a week. Our room key stopped working 10 times in a week. That's a 40 minute walk to the lobby and back to get it fixed. We stayed ONE WEEK. TEN TIMES!!!! You gotta fight the staff to get a bottle of water. You get a bar of soap when you check it, no matter of many you are [... read more]. After that, though luck! Beds were picked up from a junkyard. If you are 3 in a room, the third person gets an "extra" bed and might as well sleep on the floor (which I actually did one night). Fought the staff the whole week to get it fixed. Wasn't fixed. The staff doesn't care by the way. They reaaaaally couldn't give less of a erhm about your problems. They don't speak english very well anyways. The way the resort is made makes it that you either have to walk 20 minutes from your room to get to the beach or to get to the buffet, one way. Forget about the trolley it passes once in a lifetime. Shower is very unsafe, especially for old people and kids. Very slippery. They messed up our check out time. When you check out, you don't get a courtesy room for the rest of the day. There are no showers available to you (they will tell you there is, and send you to the spa, where NO SHOWERS WORK. Not a single one. They are all broken in the men's room at least). If you stay in the resort for a while waiting for your flight, especially if you hit the beach on the day of your flight, you're gonna go back home sticky of salt water and sweat. Trust me that's what torture feels like. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of stuff, it's been a few months now. I honestly wouldn't recommend going there if you get free tickets. I know I might seem like I'm exagerating, but this is a feeling that was shared with everyone I met there. I do not know how it got a SINGLE good review. I don't know how TripAdvisor works, but I suspect there might have been some fake accounts.

Hotel Tuxpan: Great Resort

Glad I went by the reviews instead of stars when I booked our trip! It was our first time on a tropical vacation and we're so glad we decided on the Tuxpan. The staff was amazing, the food wonderful and the rooms clean and comfortable. We didn't get to all the a la cartes .. But truth is we preferred the dining room best anyway. The only real downside I could say is they need more loungers. It's near impossible to get one.. Palma Real: Fantastic Resort

We had an amazing time at the Palma Real. Great location. Food was good. You could walk down the main strip and visit restaurants if you wanted. The beach was excellent, clean and crystal clear water. The grounds were very well kept. Very clean rooms. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Could not do enough for us. We have been there three times and are going back in February 2015 and April 2015.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princess Del Mar Sol Melia Hotels and Re

I would recommend this resort to others. The hotel room and grounds were clean & beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shows were colourful and fun to watch. Food selection was pretty good but some flavour was missing. One negative was the mosquitoes in the bathroom (I was bitten several times in the middle of the night).

Hotel Tuxpan: Great Budget Resort

I have stayed at Tuxpan twice over a 4 year period. I admit the overall resort has gone downhill in that time, however, if you're not too fussy, it's a great low key resort with a great friendly staff.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: no hot water resort

everything was fine ,but we left because no hot water for four days,the room was good .the service was good,the swimming pool was great,night entertainment was very good,the hotel was very clean everywhere.

Palma Real: Great Vacation - Wonderful Time!

When one is going to Bellevue, one should be realistic. You are not getting a room at the Taj Mahal. The buildings are a little dated and the beach is a two minute walk from the hotel, but the location is superb. You are literally minutes from "downtown Varadero." There is a A La Carte Pizza place on the resort that offers decent food. Don't make the vacation about food. This place has a couple swimming pools, a nice section of beach, great staff and running utilities. The rooms were cleaned daily and the lobby bar was 24 hours. The rest is what you make of it. We had a blast and have considered going back!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Best time of my life!

Ocean is an amazing place, our room was always clean. The food was amazing everyday you got a verity of different food fresh fish steak turkey chicken , cakes desserts. Had everything there so amazing . the beach and pool area is very clean and has entertaining. would go back in a heartbeat! the resort is always clean and very beautiful to walk around.

Playa Caleta: Changing

I have stayed at this hotel many many times. I have loved it more and more each time. But last April I found it was going through changes. Some of the changes were good some were not so good. They had gone from using napkins to giving you a very small piece of paper. Very cheap. The workers were also undergoing changes. They were starting to implement that they could no longer hug us. Palma Real: Worst front desk service ever

Will never go to this resort again. 9 out of 10 people were unpleasant and RUDE, we were ignored when help was needed, our air conditioner never worked, we were hot in the room, ants all over the floor n sink, no locker in room, next day were promised to get one. It never happened. When asked at front desk they blamed the other person. No one took responsibility. I don't go to cuba for the food but, even the food was terrible. The grounds are not kept. I was actually embarrassed to take pictures [... read more]. I didn't like the surrounding. This resort is not worth the cheap price. I rather pay the extra money for a better experience.

Sol Varadero Beach: Good resort

We stayed one week at Sol Sirenas Coral. The food was great and the grounds and public areas were very clean. The service was good the rooms were cleaned every day. LOVE the beach so beautiful. I recommend Sole Sirenas Coral.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Awesome!!

The grounds, service, hospitality - top notch! Best in Cuba by far!! - This was my 2nd time staying at the resort, but never had the Royal Service the first time. I would take Royal Service again in a heart beat. My mom and I went for mother's day and staff were very helpful with her getting around the resort. Always someone there offering my mom a ride. No waits for restaurant tables, pool chairs, etc. No getting up at 5am to put a towel on your chair - absolutely wonderful!!

Memories Jibacoa: Average

The grounds were beautiful, nice beach, friendly staff, and great nightly entertainment. What was really disappointing was the food. We probably wouldn't have been so disappointed had we not heard how good it was. Lunch at the beach grill was OK, and breakfast was fine, so it was mainly the dinners that were so poor. We were actually hungry at an "all inclusive"--a rare occurence! What we heard was that in low season--July and August--they cut back. Melia Marina Varadero: beautiful resort

This hotel is beautiful, the grounds, the rooms, the dining well kept and clean. Very impressed. The only thing i would like to see changed is the buffet it seems a bit repetative. Different menus would be nice.

Barcelo Solymar: Amazing Resort

Barcelo is the best resort. I've been to Cuba twice and always only stay at Barcelo, Everyone is so nice including the hotel staff, A lot of great activities. Snorkeling was amazing so was the instructor Miguel. The hotel atmosphere is great if your looking for a guaranteed great time stay in Barcelo Solymar.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Blau Marina Varadero

We spend two weeks at the Blau Marina Veradero in February of 2014. For the most part our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. The first week we spend in the family section of the resort. This is a great place for families and it is possible to find some more quiet places. The exclusive restaurant could to say the least use a chef who can cook not one in training and more attentive waiting staff would be an asset. We ended up going to the restaurants of the family section which for the most part were excellent. We recommend the family section of this resort;the double price of the adult section is definitely not worth considering and by far overpriced. This is reflected in my rating two stars for the luxury section and three for the family area which I highly recommend.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort.

Grounds very well groomed. Food always plenty for the masses. Service was great. Pools were nice and fun. Beach was long and lots of waves. Rooms were nice but the single ply toilet paper to wipe hands etc. needs to change especially for a Sandals.
