Barcelo Bavaro Palace: My Favorite Place to Be!!!

I have been to this resort now 3 times and I have no complaints. I don't think any other resort can top this one. The grounds are breathtaking and the food is exceptional. Many activities to do and the rooms are very modern and clean. My favorite a la carte is the Spanish and steakhouse. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants luxury and class on their vacation:)

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Beautiful Place

Everything was very beautiful , the rooms clean, the food delicious, The people too friendly , interesting entertainments . The only thing that was not fulfilled the service.I do not if it was too many customers to attend .Because all areas were occupied all the time.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Loved it! 2nd Time There

We absolutely loved it. It was our second time and we were treated just how we were the first time. The entertainment staff were amazing. Great shows and it was nice seeing the same staff! We love cesar!! He was in the Elegance Club this time but it was great to see some of the same staff!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: We love Majestic!

Everything about Majestic Elegance was just amazing! From the clean and upkept grounds, to the workers, to the food selection and much much more my husband and I could not be more pleased with choosing Majestic Elegance for our honeymoon!! We will definitely be going back and will recommend to everyone.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Gran Vantana

Hotel grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious, large bathroom and clean. No Wifi other than Theatre which was poor. If you want WIFI must pay $35 a week and the safe is $ 16 a week, while not expensive generally included. Food was good a Buffett options changed daily which was great. There is no entertainment after 10 pm. Need to leave resort. The activities at the resort are repetitive the nightly shows were repetitive mostly dancing using in house staff and band. After day 3 it i [... read more]s the same. The DJ has a good mix of music but they keep the volume low . Staff were great.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Was not impressed ;(

Rude staff, terrible customer service! Hotel needs a lot of updating, pillows needs to be thrown out and burned!!!! Bring your own pillow if you want to sleep. Theirs feel like sleeping on rocks!!! Beach was ok, food was excellent!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: It is a great resort

We enjoyed everything about the resort they where always there to help us with what we needed and we also enjoyed the food the grounds where very clean the people working there are very friendly and helpful

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: HORRIBLE TRIP

The resort was ok...the staff was good ...rooms were old and musty. Excursions were way over priced. The food was the same all week ..it was ok but no variety. I will not be booking there again. Entertainment was HORRIBLE

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Average resort

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. This was our fifth vacation to the D.R. and our first to Ibserostar. The staff overall were warm and professional, especially in the buffet and reception. This is a relatively small resort, well maintained though rather rundown and dated, overall. Our room was on the top floor with ocean view, which was delightful, but for a five-star resort, the room was pretty basic and the bathroom a big disappointment as it was shabby and old. The Japanese restaurant was very good for food and service but the others were very poor and the service was dreadful in the Mexican restaurant. The cocktail lounge was super and our early morning coffee delicious. The beach area was a shock to us, as there was actual garbage floating onto the beach, so there were specific areas we would only walk to, in order to swim. Be aware of traders walking up and down the beach all day, they are very Intrusive and annoying. The evening entertainment was probably the worst we have experienced in the D.R. Totally boring and amateur and so disappointing. We enjoyed our week at the Iberostar but will not be returning, as it in no way compares to other five-star resorts in the D.R. What put us off most of all, though, were the locals who are allowed to use the resort. They took over the pool and pool bar and were noisy, aggressive and messy. The paying resort quests literally just watched on the sidelines, wondering what on earth was happening. Every time I went to the swim-up bar I was totally ignored as some staff (you know who you are, Ana), chatted and served their friends and treated resort quests with distain. This is completely unacceptable, because this was not a cheap holiday, and we expected a four to five-star exclusive resort. Do be aware of this, as we found out this is a weekly occurrence and it honestly is upsetting. It brings the resort down to a two or three star. We only kept to the beach area because of this, through the day. Iberostar, you have a lot of improving to do, to even come close to the quality and service other five-star resorts offer! If you want paying guests to return, you need to rethink your policies, as we heard a lot of negative comments from fellow travellers there for the first time, and they were unhappy about the locals using this resort. What excels is your warm, kind and wonderful staff, especially in the buffet, cocktail lounge and reception. A big thank you to Narcisos, Allen, Ifrain!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Fantastic resort

Highly recommend this resort...we would go back for sure. Rooms are very nice. Food was great. Service was great. Beach was nice but a little too much see weed.entertainment was great. Front desk service was friendly and quick and very polite. I have been away many times and this resort was the best of been too. Again I highly recommend going to this resort.

Overall an average to good place to visit but I would not pay top dollars for this huge resort. some of the staff are overly friendly, but there are quite few that are rude and argumentative. we had 2 rooms with exactly the same layout, one with floor lamp at the far side and one without which was quit dark at night, it took a long argument to have one in the missing room. both air conditioners were noisy but effective. expect to pay for security box if you are a punta cana client. resort car [... read more]ts are on time and plenty. my biggest complain is when they have an event such as water-polo match, they should isolate the area so that no one crosses the playing are which they did not care at all, it is dangerous for others. Night entertainment is good but very short. considering the proximity of places and the hours of operations, like the breakfast and lunch hours of the buffet, you find yourself rushing to get from one place to another all the time, this is hardly a relaxing experience. why there can't be more rotating fans in the main lobbies, i have no idea. careful of scammers while shopping regardless of shopping indoors or outdoors. restaurants are a superficial show of luxury. overall, this is hardly a luxury complex regardless of which resort you stay in. not worth it to pay top dollars in a more expensive resort, food is the same, beach is the same, pools are the same and rooms are not much different, I wouldn't pay much just to have beach towels in my room or a few more perks that wouldn't make much of a difference in a week stay. it is a hit and miss, but if you're lucky you can get a good room for a good price and have a good time for a week.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Very nice Resort

Our room is so spacious,nice,I enjoyed the swim up bar, nice beach , just frustrated on our first time to go to the beach because we found lots of seaweeds but other than that the whole place is perfect.Love it. I will highly recommend to all.

Occidental Caribe: Amazing time

Food drinks beach pool pool bar amazing!!!! No complaints about any of it!!! Only issue was reception desk was slow and not overly helpful but absolutely beautiful resort! Would return here. Amazing!!

Grounds - very well maintained, clean, beautiful Service - very slow , communication barrier at times where the customer service desk could not assist Entertainment- well organized and put together, wonderful Accommodation- very clean and beautiful rooms Food- great selection however can be bland

Blau Natura Park Resort: Amazing resort

Loved everything about it the staff very friendly food was amazing entertainment also was great i took my daughter 10 years old she had an amazing time awesome kids club great resort also my sister got married on the beach anazing decor beautifilul flowers followed by an exclusive dinner just for the wedding party and guests totally recoment having your destination wedding at Blau Natura Resort ana Spa

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Worth the money

This resort was very nice, very good service. Lots of workers always around to help you out. Always a maid on our floor for an extra towel, toilet paper or water bottle. Whatever you need. Food was good. Lots of selection. The resort was packed full of ppl though. They never have a low season. Hard to find a chair by the pool or the beach. Beach was nice. Varying amounts of seaweed depending on the day but they are always cleaning it up on the beach. Rooms are clean and big. I liked the double  [... read more]sinks. Blau Natura Park Resort: Great trip !

Had a great family vacation!! Lots of entertainment for kids. Resort is small but cute. The grounds were well kept and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was great. Rooms are small but very spacious. Would go back again

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: To much noise

We stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro in 2015 and loved it. We enjoyed the relaxing nights in the lobby with a nice cold drink and fresh air. We decided to come back to the same resort this year, the room was perfect and quiet but the rest of the hotel was to busy. The lobby was loud at night and the smoking everywhere was even disturbing. If we decide to go back to that resort we will definitely upgrade to Amber or Esmeralda. Our vacation was not as relax as we planned. To bad because Punta Cana is such a nice beach for a great walk.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice Stay

The Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana was a nice resort. The resort was clean and staff was attentive to any needs or requests. They asked to make sure our room was up to our standards and willing to fix anything that was a concern (we had little flies in our bathroom everywhere). There were lots of pools and the beach was nice. Some shopping on site which was great. They were more than accomodating helping me make calls back home when I needed to. I would stay here again without hesitation.
