Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Like going home!

Absolutely stunning. Everything on the property is so clean and well kept. It's the nicest grounds at any resort we've been to. We enjoy all areas no matter family or adult only. the adult only pool with the swim up bar is a great treat!!!

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Awesome people and place

The place was perfect for me. It was also one of the better times I went. It was all adults, nothing but fun, and parties at night. Nice beach and pools. Awesome food. I would definitely come back with even more people this time!

Catalonia Yucatan: nice family resort

All was good....family enjoyed the small feel of the hotel and area. The entertainment was good. Buffets were decent. Restaurants were good, we enjoyed each one. Staff are awesome. Not much beach, but the pools worked well.

Catalonia Yucatan: Decent resort.

We had a pretty dated "garden" view room that was pretty close to the (very) coral-ly beach which made water access difficult. There is a small sandy beach access a bit further, but it only represents 10% of the resort's beach access. The buffet was good,as were all the restaurants. The nightly entertainment was respectable as well. The air-conditioned game room was enjoyable , and it had billiards, ping pong, and a checkers table. Bring a fishing rod, the fish bite like crazy in the shallow water lagoon near the resort!

El Dorado Royale: fantastic spa resort

Excellent staff and the rooms were spotless. The food and drink were exceptional and our suite with private pool was a real treat. The gormet dinners in the evening were well done with the Italian restaurant one of our favourites. You could not beat the Sante Fe for breakfast. The pool bar staff and beach staff were freindly and attentive.

Riu Tequila: Excellent resort

This resort was excellent the grounds, beach, food and hospitality was exceptional. The staff very friendly. The only small negative would be the dimly lit entrance way to your rooms in the daytime. Overall we will return to this resort.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Incredible resort!!

This hotel is AMAZING!!! And the food OMG!! I can't wait to comeback next year!! My boyfriend didn't want to go to mexico at first, but when we got there he was like " I don't want to go back to canada!! This place is incredible!!! :)

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: another great holiday

We have stayed at the Valentin 8 times, and it never dissappoints. They have definitely lost a little extravagance since the first few visits, but it is still great value. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is very good, and the pools are beautiful. The swim up rooms are our favourite. Will definitely be back.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Good Food, Good Beach, Well kept grounds

The Food was good chef cuisine type quality but signage could have been easier The beach was nice but swimming was somewhat limited especially towards nightfall as security would direct you out of the ocean The grounds were well kept really well

Grand Sunset Princess: Got better

2 male friends in playa del carmen to do some fishing . Repeatedly asked before we left for 2 double beds, got a king and one of us ended up on a cot the first night. Next night got 2 double beds but were over looking construction (noisy). Went to the sports bar one night and the hamburgers were raw , told the bar tender and he could have cared less as all he wanted to serve was beer . if you asked for a drink that he had to mix , he avoided you. Buffet restaurants were great, food was good , st [... read more]aff were great . Front desk and cleaning were also very good. Booking the specialty restaurants was not very easy as you had to book 3 days ahead and most were booked up. This was my second time at sunset princess and i'm not sure that I would come back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic resort

8 of us did a week at Akumel in March 2014.: The place is absolutely fabulous......can't waitto go again. If I were to say anything negative. .....it would be that we are so spoiled now that anywhere else we wouldn go would not live up to this!!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: A premium resort on the Mayan Riviera

We've stayed at many places along the Mayan Riviera coast and this resort is right up there. The beach is beautiful, rooms and service are great and the food was excellent. The only caution I would have is that is an adult only resort so it's on the quiet side--and a taxi to the nearest town for nightlife is expensive. We knew that going in and loved it!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome resort.

This resort had great rooms, fantastic food, lots to do, very clean pools and grounds, friendly staff and overall very well run resort. This was out second visit to the resort and will go again. Mexico also has great excursions.

Catalonia Yucatan: Nice resort

The resort was very clean! The beach was small - lounge seating was too close. We took water shoes for the ocean and glad we did! There are rocks for the first ten feet or so. They had 'privileged' services that were not included in our booking price. They up sell these services at check in. We were travelling as a family (6) so would have added $$$ to a budget that had already been set. Felt like two classes of people. Would have liked to have known this when booking. The staff were very friend [... read more]ly and happy to be of assistance. The ATV Explorer excursion was a blast! Would definitely do that one again. The shopping excursion was fun but went to a jewellery factory first (told we would see how jewellery was made) It was just a hard sell on over priced jewellery The shopping was fun. Overall a fun family vacation. Great memories were made!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach

While this is a huge resort they manage to keep the entire grounds pristine at all times. The staff here are top notch and willing to go above and beyond to ensure their guests enjoy a memorable vacation. Snorkelling here is better than anywhere else in the Mayan Riviera.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Great Resort

This resort was very customer focused, very friendly and quaint. Food was amazing on all counts... breakfast, lunch and dinner. Made some good friends there and still keep in contact with some of them....

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great resort

The Barcelo Colonial is great resort the service is excellent the rooms are getting up there in age but are still good the food is great very wide assortment the pools and the grounds are very attractive and we would go back in a heartbeat!

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Very nice place

This was our 3rd visit to the Mayan Riviera in the last 3 years and we were not disappointed at all. Our 8-year old daughter was totally happy in the Explorer Mini Club. We always found a nice spot along the beach to relax and had nothing to complain about. Since the package allowed for the kids to stay free,there were many small kids around and the breakfast atmosphere was not really "relaxing" but the waiters were typically excellent and eager to provide excellent service anyways.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Just what we need after a long harsh winter

It's been a long harsh winter in Toronto when we went to Riviera Maya in early May. I was a bit apprehensive selecting this resort and did a lot of research before making up my mind. And boy, was I glad I selected Barcelo Maya Caribe. From the pickup at the airport to the hotel till the end of the trip, it was great service almost all the way. The food was good and the two restaurants for evening dining was fabulous. The entire resort was well kept and the staff pleasant. There are 5 different h [... read more]otels within the same resort so the grounds were fairly extensive. I had said in the beginning that it was great service ALMOST all the way. The reason is the check in/check out process. The lineup to check in was not too long but because it takes so long to process each guest the wait was long. We queue up to check in but since we were early and the room was not ready, we were asked to pick up the keys after 3 pm. To pick up the keys we had to queue up all over again in the same line up as people checking in. If we are just picking up keys, why not have an express lane. Same with checking out - too much waiting in line and the same line as people checking in. Again, why not an express line for checking out. Same as booking restaurants for the evening - line up just to speak with the concierge to reserve a restaurant. There is really no need to have to line up to speak with the concierge. Why not a simple online self service and it's done. Final conclusion though, is I had a great time and would visit again the next time I need to get a break from winter.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Wonderful stay

Definitely will go back. My husband and I enjoyed our stay,food was fabulous with a lot of variety daily, grounds were immaculate with beautiful peacocks passing thru. Plenty of pool areas as well as the use of sister Iberostar hotels to swim and eat at. If I had to give a negative(reluctantly) I would say the area the resort covers is huge and takes a lot of walking, but they have small trolleys to pick you up. They arrive within a few minutes and was never a problem for us.
