Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Perfect vacation

My husband and I stayed at the resort and had an incredible time! The resort was beautiful very clean and well maintained Our stay at Hyatt Zilara was overall a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The service truly stood out — the staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed everyday. We were greeted with champagne and a lovely smile upon arrival. Royal Hideaway Playacar: Pros and Cons

This resort definitely needs some upkeep, especially in relation to air conditioning in the rooms. The first room we had had no air flow and was like sleeping in a sauna. Luckily we did manage to get moved the next day to a room with some working air conditioning. Furniture in a lot of venues needs to be replaced. Especially in Allegre Bar and couches in Reception. We had just been swimming in one of the relaxation pools and were relaxing on a lounger when a groundskeeper came in, walked in front of us and started chopping down palm fronds near us and then tossing them in the pool making it so we couldn't swim there any longer. We felt uncomfortable so got up and went elsewhere. On the positive side, the hotel staff could not do enough for you to try and make your stay comfortable. Big shout out to Arnandan and Cynthia, the two concierges who went above and beyond to ensure myself and 82 year old mother got a working air con room and provided a large stand fan. Also, shout out to Sarahi, our new concierge, who had our noisy ceiling fan fixed within minutes, arranged for some pesos to be changed into smaller bills, and provided us with her umbrella when we didn't have one in our room. A big plus was the food. It was exceptional!!. Oh. I forgot to mention Wilson in Ventanas. He was the best server!. So sweet, kind, funny and respectful! I definitely didn't go hungry and always found something yummy to eat!! The pools were plentiful and so warm and inviting with clear blue water. We never had a problem with getting a pool chair when we went for breakfast at 7 30. Probably because it is low season.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Overstate selection Paraíso lindo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I thought their entertainment at the pool was really fun. The food was delicious. The pool setup was very nice. All the different pools. Lots of chairs. If we wanted to suggest anything we would say absolutely nothing. It was all wonderful.

Riu Latino: Fantastic Resort

Our first time at this resort and we loved it. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our room was a good size and the fridge and bar was well stocked. Lots of food choices and plenty of it, you won't go hungry. Bar services were top notch, and they do not water down the drinks. All the pools were great, and we had no trouble in getting a lounge all week. All the staff were top notch. The nightly shows were fantastic. We highly recommend this resort.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Fantastic Resort!

My Friend and i spend an amazing week at RIU Palace costa Mujeres and loved every minute of it The room 3156 was spacious and bright, comfortable location, easy access to all amenities . Service was top notch , very attentive staff everywhere. The resort itself well maintained and super clean. Food was plenty and good variety, we were not hungry. Delicious drinks at the bar. Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Mostly fantastic!

My mother and I went for 11 days in May and found this hotel had some great qualities. Clean, good sized rooms with comfy beds and only 25 minutes from the airport. A good sized hotel, spread out but walkable and they have elevators so for people with mobility issues it's great! The entertainment was decent and there were always clean towels in the rooms and at the pool. I have food allergies and the staff at guest services (Sergio and Estrella) were great. They helped me navigate all of the buffets and restaurants so that I didnt have to worry about having a reaction. My only complaints are that the pools could be kept much cleaner and the raccoons are a major hindrance, I would watch out if you have small children as they will climb right up on them, the raccoons are everywhere after dusk. The beach is also a bit small/skinny and there was sargassum which wasn't too bad while we were there, but we're not beach people so it was fine. Would still return for a good price. Riu Yucatan: Amazing resort

Clean and friendly . Everything accessible . Great pools, clean beach. The best thing for us was - no a la carte reservation and no seating arrangement at the buffet. It made our stay comfortable and flexible. Great fun activities such as sport classes and fun planned events such as foam party and more

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Dreaming of Dreams Cozumel

We loved Dreams Cozumel. For a snorkeling vacation, you can't beat being close to the beach with easy water access to an array of tropical fish, some of which I hadn't seen before. But I do caution people to take water shoes! The resort itself is smaller, which we liked and the intimacy of the resort in terms of size; quality of service was excellent. Highly recommend upgrading for the beachfront view. The sunsets were beautiful. Thank you Colleen Scott for going above and beyond!

Catalonia Yucatan: First All-Inclusive Trip

We were greeted with the nicest staff at Yucatan hotel. We arrived early before check-in time but they allowed us to eat and use all that was available in the resort which was really nice. The food was great and many options. Rooms get cleaned every day which is a plus. The pools were perfect, but the beach.. the sargassum was worse this time around. They have activities for both kids and adults which kept us entertained. Overall, we would love to come back. Occidental Cozumel: Authentic Mexican Resort

The resort actually made you feel like you were in Mexico with all the beautiful wood ceilings and the tile floors you knew you were truly in Mexico. It was very lush in the way that it had so much greenery. The trees and shrubs made you feel like you were in a tropical place (naturally). Clean and our A/C worked very well unlike some that we spoke with who did not have that luxury. The pool areas - The adult pool was great. Very relaxing and our bar tender Santos was awesome! As soon as you would start heading towards him, he would put up his hand and say, "I will bring to you". Never had to get out of the pool except to go to the bathroom. The main pool by the beach was much more active including water volley ball. Great for kids and adults. We did not use this pool as we mainly wanted to relax. The beach had a lot of lounge chairs, plenty of shade, beach volley ball and just relax and enjoy. Food - Most of the time we ate the buffet - breakfast & supper. Lunch was at the Beach restaurant. Both restaurants had a good variety of food. It's not like and expensive resort would have but it filled our bellies and kept us happy. We had supper at the beach restaurant the one night and it was very good especially the potato and leek soup. It was the best I had ever had! The only reason we didn't eat at any of the other a la carte's is that we'd forget to go to the lobby to sign-up lol The only thing that I wasn't impressed with was, prior to coming to the resort, I had told them we were coming there for our 40th anniversary. I know at other resorts, they always do a little something extra. We didn't get anything. It wasn't a real big deal but it would have been a nice gesture, even just a bottle of wine in our room. All in all, we had a great time and that's all that really counts!

Allegro Cozumel: Amazing resort

Hotel grounds were amazing.. Beach was clean with lots of chairs for everyone.. Pool area was active friendly and fun with not too much noise.. Service was great everywhere.. Rooms were quite comfortable but noisy at the top floor.. Will be back if we can..

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Great Resort

Loved the lazy river. Service was excellent. Food and drinks were mid. Juices were so wateres down?. Loved the ice cream bar! First room we got that was on the ground floor was not clean. Second room we were moved to was much better. Water parks were under maintenance when we were there, found out about a day before the trip, which sucked. Overall I would give the resort a 3 out of 5.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Unhelpful non existent management support!

Amazing food and great service from all the wait staff, but our trip was overshadowed by a drugged drink at the El Beso pool bar, and the managements inadequate response and support during a medical emergency forced me to take my wife privately to a hospital to seek medical help

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Sian Ka an is a beautful lush resort

The hotel grounds are a beautiful tropical oasis. Our room was spacious, clean and close to the pools and main building. Italia went out of her way to take fantastic care of our group of 11. She was at our disposal and was able to book us into the Alux a la cart restaurant, which was an amazing dining experience. In addition, Italia made accomodations with the chef from Portofino to prepare a specialized meal for our group when we couldn't get into that a la cart restaurant. She also arranged [... read more] for transportation to the other resorts so we didn't have to wait for the trolly for dinner reservations. Luisa and Rosa provided exceptional spa services. I would highly recommend booking with them at the spa. A recommendation I would make is to improve the on-line booking process. It has many glitches and makes the process extremely frustrating. You can't book any a la cart restaurants unless you are checked in on line. And if you are a group of more than 6 you can't book the a la cart restaurants anyway. Ten days before our trip, 99% of the restaurants were fully booked for the full 7 days. We are extremely grateful to Italia for assisting us when we arrived. We would have booked many more restaurants but they are somehow all fully booked. There needs to be a better fairer way. The seafood night at the buffet was excellent. The pool restaurant food is also very good and hot. We found the buffet was good but the food wasn't always hot. The service in the buffet was also very good. My other suggestion would be to have more dance entertainment after the main show is over. Even leave a play list going so guests can get up and dance.

Riu Latino: Wonderful vacation

This was the first time we returned to the same Hotel Riu Latino, Plaja Mujeres. Unable to book online with Tripcentral, we called and asked for assistance. Our travel advisor, Sandra De Faria, was incredibly helpful from start to finish. We truly appreciated her professionalism and her willingness to quickly resolve price issues that occurred during payment. The resort was modern, the staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the food selection was excellent with lots of variety every day at the buffet and specialty restaurants. The beach and pools were beautiful, and there was always entertainment or activities going on. Overall, it was a great value for the price, and we would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

Haven Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Resort!

We had a wonderful time at the Haven Riviera Cancun! The facilities were excellent, and the service was great! It's the first resort that my husband said we should come back to... While the beach had lots of seaweed, this is to be expected at a resort in this area. There were lots of spaces for loungers, and we never had trouble finding somewhere to sit around the pools.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

Dreams Cozumel is a wonderful Resort. They have great amenities. The room we were in had an amazing waterfront view, a large private balcony, king size bed and a huge bathroom. We had preferred status, so we had access to extra perks, which included a spa treatment that we both enjoyed. Also access to the preferred lounge was a treat. The staff were friendly and very helpful!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great resort

Staff very nice and caring. Grounds very well kept. Older rooms but spacious and clean. Nice pool and good entertainment. Shows every night at lobby. It was my second visit in 2 months. Beach at Akumal is good. Lots of chairs and good entertainment.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Wonderful Family Vacation

We spent a week at Grand Sirenis as a family of four in March, and overall we had a fantastic vacation. We have two teenage girls, and they absolutely loved this resort. The beach was not great during our stay, but we can’t fault the resort for that as there was a major sargassum issue throughout Mexico at the time of our trip. The resort itself is huge, so be prepared to do a lot of walking, which we personally didn’t mind. The pools were all great, and the lazy river was AMAZING. The  [... read more]food was surprisingly good, especially at the buffets. There were endless options, and everything was fresh and delicious. The only disappointment was how difficult it was to get reservations at the à la carte restaurants. We were able to try the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant, and both were very good. The entertainment was excellent. There were lots of fun activities around the pools during the day, live music in different areas of the resort in the evenings, and nightly shows in the theatre (some better than others, of course). The White Party on the beach Saturday night, complete with a fire show, was fantastic. There was also lots of wildlife around the resort. Seeing the monkeys every morning was definitely a highlight! Our only real negative comment was the pool chair situation. Like many resorts, people had to get up very early to reserve chairs by the pool. It’s disappointing that this continues to be such a common issue at resorts, because it takes away from the relaxing vacation atmosphere when you feel pressured to wake up early just to secure a shaded spot. Many reserved chairs sat empty for hours, sometimes until the afternoon. Overall, we had a wonderful family vacation and would definitely recommend this resort, especially for families with teens.

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing vacation

Excellent stay! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location. Amazing experience. The hotel was comfortable, quiet, and the service was outstanding. Everything was perfect — the room, the service, and the atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel.
