Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao: Some good, some not so much

Location was fantastic! Easy walk to downtown Willemstad. Buffet was amazing everyday! The choices were endless, and I could never try everything, because there were so many. I loved the accessible water/coffee/soft drinks at the buffet. This is the BEST thing. I never had to wait for someone to bring me water. The use of an unlimited supply of bottled water was very concerning and definitely not environmentally friendly. There were 2 dispensers on the property, and both were broken Maid service is non existent! I now truly believe all the other reviews I read where guests mentioned this. They probably complete the checklist saying they cleaned, but they never really cleaned the room. At most, we had someone pull the duvet over the pillows once, and leave some towels another day, but that was it.... Floors were NEVER swept, ever. The hallway or stairwell had the same garbage sitting along the floors for the entire 7 days I stayed there. Swimming was amazing and the quiet pool and waterslides are the best

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Amazing resort and great people!

Best beach (like mambo but private). Great, open and very hard working staff. Great entertoyment every evening, special thanks to Candy Man and team ;) Food is just amazing, variety of choices and delicious. Sunscape Curacao Resort: Sunscape Curaco

My friend and I travelled to this resort from January 9 to 16, 2025. The weather was 35 - 40 degrees with the humidity all week, with very little rain. If you go knowing this is a 3.5 star resort, you will have a great time. The staff at the resort, including everyone we spoke to away from the resort, were amazing. Incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their face. The beach was beautiful with great snorkelling. A little rocky in some spots to get in so bring some water shoes.  [... read more] There were many clean pools. We stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View Double room in building 7. The sleeping area was spacious, but in need of upgrade. The shower water over ran onto the bathroom floor and the bathroom was quite small. We did not have much AC in our room, but they brought us a fan which helped. The room, as well as the entire resort, was very clean. The food at the buffet was fine, yet repetitive and not much flavour in my opinion. It was always cold. I tried to avoid eating there whenever possible. The Italian and Pan-Asian restaurants were really good. We don't eat seafood so we didn't try the seafood restaurant. The Coco Café had amazing coffee and lattes. The Grill had a small menu and again, the food wasn't not warm but it was good. We thought the resort could have used more chairs in the evenings. They were hard to come by and we wanted to enjoy the evening entertainment, but sometimes couldn't find anywhere to sit. We took the bus downtown and enjoyed some shopping and food. We felt very safe. Most shops had prices in American and ANG. If you pay with American money, they may have to give you change in ANG . I should also mention that Curacao is switching their currency to the Caribbean pesos in March so if you plan on taking ANG, use all of it before you come home. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I would not go back. Curacao is a beautiful island and we were glad we visited.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Awesome resort

From the time we walked in to the time we left everyone was professional and pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunscape to anyone. The food was always good and plentiful. The room was perfect. the cleaning crew did a very good job.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Perfect for Our Group

I would offer 3.5 star. The restaurant servers were friendly. The food was good for the price. No complaints. The beach was perfect and really enjoyed the snorkeling. The rooms were good for the price. The no smoking policy could have been better enforced. There were small quirky things. For example, I ordered the Hawaiian Burger and it arrived with no grilled pineapple. The pineapple and Hawaiian theme is why I had ordered it. The server didn't advise us there wasn't any pineapple. She simply  [... read more]brought it to me. This same thing happened with the Organic lettuce and watermelon salad. It arrived with no watermelon. They substituted it with cucumbers and didn't say anything. I ordered an iced coffee at the coffee bar and the woman said she had no ice. Otherwise, all was good. The pools were great. The entertainment was good as well. For the price, this is a good resort and I would go back with another group.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Wonderful vacation

Great resort, 5 mins for airport, well maintained, clean, food was very good at all restaurants. Just be warned the beach at the resort is man made and not right off the water. You have to walk down to Maho Beach.

The resort was so nice, beach was beautiful. Snorkeling right there Overall just enjoyed our time The entertainment was good there was always plenty to do Very safe, took the bus into the city and just walked around

Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao: Great Resort!

Our stayed was from Dec 13-20th at the Mangrove Beach Corendon All-Inclusive Resort. We were quite surprised at how nicely renovated the hotel was from the lobby, to the room. The quality of the workmanship was impressive compared to other resorts we've visited. What we love about these islands is the constant breeze, so no matter how hot it was the trade winds cools everything down. A great bonus is that you're a short 10 minute walk to beautiful Willemstad and felt safe the entire time. It was [... read more] interesting to see the various cruise ships dock at The Port near by nearly on a daily basis. Though passengers had the ability to spend the day at our resort, it still did not feel overcrowded which was nice. The overall grounds were very clean and liked that it was not as busy this time of year. We had no issue finding lounge chairs at the beach or a seat at the buffet. These smaller boutique hotels definitely don't give you the feel of overcrowding at all, which adds to the relaxing experience. Moving along to the a la carte restaurants. This resort by far, had the BEST tasting restaurants for an all inclusive that we've ever been to. Our favourites were the Turkish and Seafood a la carte's. The portions were great, the quality of the food was exceptional and all staff were very professional. Food Street had chicken shawarma which we ate daily!! The buffet had a variety of food and themed nights which was a nice change. The Turkish night had such a huge variety of meats and desserts, I regretted eating everything at the a la carte to miss this! The Pera Lobby Bar & Patisserie was open 24/7 and was nice to munch on pastries or sandwiches for a light snack while sipping on mojito's or an ice cappuccino. The coffee bar was adjacent to there where I enjoyed cappuccino smoothies. The only downside we found was that the buffet & a couple of the a la carte restaurants seemed to be understaffed. They worked their buns off to service everyone, but you could tell they were a bit overwhelmed at times. Nonetheless, my partner and I cleared our tables at the buffet to help alleviate the amount of tables to clean for the next guests. We appreciate that the resort is also very wheelchair/walker accessible. With the walkout 1st level rooms, boardwalk ways to the compact beach allows for someone to easily wheel their way through and enjoy soaking up the sun. Though, this may not be ideal for families with children, but they do have a sandbox by the beach. Thumbs up across the board to the staff, the resort and we highly recommend this place!

Sonesta Maho Beach: Wonderful time at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort

Excellent location only 4 minutes away from the airport. The lobby entrance is for Sonesta Maho Beach while the Ocean Point is in the back a little way further. Located close to the airport, if you’re a fan of watching planes land and take off, this is a unique experience. The vibrant Maho Village is also just a short walk away, offering restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The rooms are s [... read more]pacious, modern, and comfortable, featuring a blend of tropical decor and contemporary style. My room had a stunning ocean view on the 6th floor. Sunshine peeking through the curtains each morning. The beds are firm and a bit on the small size (doubles instead of queens), but that was expected. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained with high-quality toiletries. The shower and toilet though are open and no doors are available. This is the same on every bathroom on the resort. The bathroom was accessible via a sliding door which was stuck at first. Once we called the front desk they had it fixed in less than a few hours. Super fast and responsive to our needs. I appreciated the small touches, like the minibar stocked with beverages, which was filled daily and without fail at the same time. The ice makers are located on the odd number floors though (ie. floor 3,5,7...) Dining at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort was good. The resort has one option for breakfast (Ocean Terrance) which unfortunately had only the same offerings each day. A little variety would have been nice. Also it's located at Ocean Point which required walking through the pool area each time. If you are in need of accessibility options, you will find this difficult as there are stairs, water and a long trek to the Ocean Point location. There are few a la carte options: The Grill (at dinner becomes La Cantina), La Fontana and Ocean Terrance. Jing's Kitchen and The Tavern are available every other day (alternating days), but are located outside the entrance to the resort on Maho Village. This was confusing at first as there are no signs to indicate this. The resort offers a range of activities to keep guests entertained. There’s a large swimming pool, complete with a swim-up bar, which is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. For those who like to stay active, there are water sports available, including snorkeling and kayaking. The beach itself is lovely, with soft sand and clear blue waters. The resort also offers daily entertainment and themed parties, making it a great choice for couples and families alike. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the spa offers a variety of services, but we didn't take advantage this time. The service at Sonesta Maho was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The housekeeping staff was excellent! They took care of us and were very helpful for extra pillows and towels when asked. Most were polite and professional. The only items I would mention for improvement: 1. The app does not work. The QR code provided everywhere does not open the app on Android. Venue times are available on the website directly. NOTE: La Fontana does not open at 6:00 am even though it is listed on the site. 2. The free WiFi on the resort is abysmal. Max speed was 3 mb/s and averages at 117kb/s. Coverage is also spotty depending on your location. 3. On the 5th day we woke up to a large cockroach in the bathroom. Of all the travels in Caribbean, this was the first time seeing a roach in the room. When we brought it up they went to spray the area and assess the species. We heard nothing back after that. Overall we had a good time here and recommend it for anyone who is looking for an all-inclusive stay at Sint Maarten looking to enjoy the beautiful beaches and unique experiences from the Dutch side of the island.

Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino: Definitely NOT a 5 star ...2 Star at most

Came back from our trip very very disappointed - thought we were going to a five stars when actually we got a low 3 stars Food was average and Alcoholic drinks were NOT top shelf .... i.e. if you wanted a Corona it was $5 US ...and JW Scotch was $5. per shot ... defeats the purpose of an "all inclusive if you have to keep paying extra for premium ( actually the first all inclusive resort I have been to where they did this) in addition the concierge staff constantly tries to upsell you on meal [... read more]s or private dining. Rooms are clean however a bit dated Staff - some very friendly majority really did not want to be there - i think the majority working in the buffet area were kids on summer break. I can write a book of the issues we had (group of 10) but don't really think it would help the hotel need a overall manager of customer service. Curacao was great however we will definitely not go back to this hotel.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Enjoyed our stay

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, there were a couple small issues in the room they dealt with quickly. Ac worked fine for us. Food was okay, but not much variety, and most wouldn't qualify for gourmet. The deserts in particular were generally disappointing. The resort always felt relaxed, we never had to wait very long for a table at the restaurants or look too far for a lounge chair. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Great resort if you can get a deal

Overall this was a great resort for the price we paid. The rooms are nice, although there was a sewer smell to the rooms. But this is limited to Garden view rooms, which are facing the sewer. No matter how much we tried to remove the smell, it always came back. Per discussions with other guests, they did not have the smell, but they were facing the swimming pool, and did complain about the noise, which came from the pool. we did not use the pool, as the smell of chlorine deterred us fr [... read more]om using it. The pool is quite small, and it appears that there are tons of people in there, mainly hanging out at the swimming pool bar drinking alcohol. There are two slides for kids to use, but one appeared to be flat and very slow. Both slides are extremely short, but the kids seem to enjoy it. Other than that, the staff is very friendly, the food was OK, the beach was small, and the ocean clear. Waves could get quite high at times. So best to be careful, as there are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, or at the pool. The great part about this hotel is that it is located right next to the airport., So if you are a plane lover, you would enjoy the resort. Also the hotel does not appear to have a medic on site at all times. I’ve been to this resort twice before, once in 2014 and a second time in 2016. The quality and selection of the food has gone down, but it appears that the resort has been rebuilt since the hurricane Destroyed 2016. Overall, this is a great hotel to go to if you can get a good deal on it. I would not pay top dollar though. we have met some guests who stayed at the Ocean point or luxury rooms. Although they paid twice as much as we did, they said the price was worth it.

Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino: Average 3* Resort

I found the people to be very friendly and helpful. The amenities were lacking in many areas: Food and service were just average. by the time food reached the table it was cold or barely warm - (Japanese restaurant is the exception - but food was very salty). The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner was passable. many times the table were lacking cutlery and slow service. The lack of a grill area for breakfast was a major set back for me. I had food poisoning for the last 3 days of my sta [... read more]y - not fun. The room and cleaning were good. Many of the towels looked stained and not clean. I liked the coffee bar. The beach and pool were decent. Quite often the majority of the chairs were covered with towels and no one using them.

Acoya Curacao Resort Villas and Spa: Dushi Massage

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days. Drivers are excellent workers. We went to buy our groceries and to the beach. Housekeeping and receptionist are kind and professional staff. Also Oh????? massage is Impressive! I love it. Thank you very much. We had a great time. Happy vaycay? cheers

Sonesta Maho Beach: A Good Time

I think we picked the wrong room. We chose a Superior King room and these rooms are located on the street side of hotel where you hear club music all night until 4:00am. This was Thursday through Tuesday. Also, fifth floor has a smell of sewage. So if you stay then ask for a Oceanview or Island view or Pool view otherwise it will be a bit uncomfortable. Esmeralda Resort: Amazing resort!

It was our first time in St.Martin, we had the blast! Everything was excellent! We had amazing room, wonderful swimming pool, the most delicious with excellent service restaurant and the last and not least - very helpful and extremely pleasant resort staff! We definitely will be back! The beach is really really beautiful, extremely beautiful mountains around!

Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao: Great Resort

This is a great resort! The resort is smaller than most and more intimate. Service is excellent. The food is very good, however selection is a little limited. The only thing I would like to see improved is the nightly entertainment. The quality and variety of the entertainment definitely needs to be improved.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Beautiful place

We stayed for 7 days and Curacao is absolutely gorgeous. The staff at the Sunscape hotel were amazing; very friendly and always helpful. The food was good, yet repetitive but well seasoned and fresh. The only negative for us was the beach. Not enough lounge chairs and shade. The beach is also divided by a rock wall which is nice because the water is calm BUT the water smelled. The upside is that one of their famous beaches, Mambo beach, is only a five minute walk off the resort with plenty of shops and restaurants as well.
