Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Beautiful Brand New Resort with Fabulous Staff but getting a table for dinner can be a challenge.

We were a multigenerational family of eight looking for a resort that offered something for everyone: one 80-year-old, four people in their mid-fifties, and three university students. What We Loved: There were so many things we really enjoyed about this resort. The Rooms The rooms are new and gorgeous. The Layout The resort is a great size — not too big, not too small. I especially liked how most of the restaurants, café, and ice-cream shop are grouped together like a little “main street.” The landscaping, however, felt a bit underwhelming for a hotel of this quality. The Beach The beach is large and beautiful. The swing bar was fun, and the beach service was good. There were always fresh towels available at the pool. The Staff The staff were incredibly hardworking, friendly, and often very funny. Activities There was a good range of activities that suited everyone in our group, and the resort app worked well for tracking them. Drinks & Entertainment The drinks were great — we especially loved the lobby bar. The 7:00 p.m. entertainment was a fun way to start the evening, and the fire show was spectacular. Special Mention Bettyna deserves a special shout-out for rescuing us with much-needed drinks at the reception desk when we arrived at 1:30 a.m. after a very long journey. Food Overall, we thought the food was excellent. There were a few overcooked or cold meals between the eight of us, but on the whole the food was very good. The buffet was the best I’ve ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort. Unlike many buffets where the fruit and vegetables are bland and uninspiring, everything here was incredibly fresh and flavorful. There was fresh fish, steak, prime rib, and a wide range of sauces and options. The Biggest Negative: Getting a Table for Dinner Our only real negative about Ocean's Allure was the difficulty of getting a table for dinner. This was my sixth all-inclusive resort, so I’m familiar with the typical reservation challenges. Usually, however, you always have the buffet as a fallback option. At Ocean's Allure, the system of “reservation-only” restaurants combined with “first-come, first-served” restaurants didn’t work well for us. Reservation-Only Restaurants All reservations (unless you are Privilege guests) must be made through the app. We were a group of eight staying in four rooms and couldn’t figure out how to book everyone together through the app. On our first night, someone at guest services kindly helped us book a table at the Hibachi restaurant. However, on night three we went back to guest services for help booking the steak restaurant, and they refused to assist us. They told us each room needed to make its own reservation through the app and that they would try to seat us near each other. We understood that a table for eight can be challenging and even offered to split into two tables of four, but guest services still refused to help. Note for large groups: This resort made very little effort to accommodate our group. Even when two tables were beside each other, we were not allowed to push them together. First-Come, First-Served Restaurants Blue Moon Our night here was unfortunately a bit of a disaster. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes, but it ended up being 2.5 hours, even though there were empty tables visible the entire time. After 3.5 hours from the moment we put our name on the list, our food arrived cold, and one of the dishes wasn’t what we ordered. The wait staff themselves were friendly, fun, and clearly working extremely hard. The restaurants simply appeared to be understaffed. Summary By the middle of the week, getting a table for dinner had become something that genuinely stressed us out. We loved most aspects of this resort and felt it offered great value for the money, but something needs to change in their dinner reservation system. We’re currently discussing whether we would return next year, but we’re unsure if the dinner situation is worth the stress. It would also be nice if the resort made more of an effort to accommodate larger groups instead of making them feel like a burden.

this hotel was amazing very well laid out the food was second to none the staff were super sweet and very attentive most definitely recommend and retuning the main lobby is very welcoming and relaxing

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Wonderful Mexican Resort

The Oceans Allure is a very nice and upscale resort. The staff are wonderful and the food was great. You really need to try the Italian place and see if you can get Wilburet as your server. This guy is friendly, humorous and professional. Antonio at bag drop another beauty. He can’t do enough for you and has a great personality. Mikes coffee is delicious and the vibe of the resort is uplifting.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Wonderful resort

Great resort Staff friendly and most happy to assist Beach beautiful as on the bavaro strip-bar staff happy to serve with a smile - Ramon true gem Pool good location through the middle of the resort - Pool bartender another amazing one always happy to serve he was always laughing and smiling and ready to conversate with you and your group :) Lobby bar had the better drink options, buffet had menu options and good if travelling with a big group Resort was always clean Cafe was amazing 100 [... read more]! Would rate this resort as a true 4 star as does lack in certain areas sometimes food would run out and would not be replenished and a lot of repetition with buffet items but due to the above was still a overall good experience.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Good resort

Overall, the hotel was good for the price. Unfortunately, the beach was full of sargassum and the water was cold but the beach itself is quite nice, sandy. Beware of the Premium/Privilege Club people hunting you like hawks at the check-ins. If you are not interested to pay extra, tell them directly straight away; otherwise, you will be wasting your precious time for their presentations and they will try to attract you by free massage, etc. The exclusive clubs are in every hotel but I have never  [... read more]seen such pushy people like here and that really spoiled my impression. The entertainment is okay, average shows in the evening. Overall, rooms are good and clean (except there is no door to the bathroom, just curtains), maid services are good, water was refilled daily. Food is decent, you can always find something to eat.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very good resort

Big clean rooms. Not enough lounge chairs and umbrellas. Need more shaded areas by the pool; suggest awnings. We'll kept grounds. Entertainment too late at night for some people. At the beginning the food was too salty but was okay once we pointed it out. Service was very good in the restaurants and bars.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: AMAZING RESORT!!

This resort was fabulous!! When we booked our travel agent put in a note that we were celebrating our anniversary and when we checked in they gave us a free upgrade to the Adults Only. Our room was beautiful, beds were comfortable and the service was great. When we checked into our room the fridge wasn't working, I called the lobby and they were literally there 10 min later with a new one. T [... read more]he food was amazing with lots of selection, delicious and never long lines for the buffet. Would like to say the Route 66 restaurant was our favorite, amazing food. The entertainment was good with different "resort style" shows nightly. A big shout out to our servers Elice and Fernanda, these ladies kept the drinks flowing with big smiles, laughter and great personalities. The beach was just okay, the water was great but some rocky areas and not enough chairs. The pools were beautiful but like every other resort not enough chairs and towels on every chair by 7 am and no one around. Be aware for older people and people with mobility issues that it's a big resort from one end to the other with lots of walking. There are trolly cars but they do not run often enough so sometimes you could be waiting awhile. We really liked the location as it's close to the airport and Playa Del Carmen, which is our favourite shopping destination.

Ocean Eden Bay: Great resort

The hotel is very modern and beautiful. The room is stunning. Bathroom with the double shower was great. Very comfortable bed. Housekeeping did an amazing job. Rooms cleaned thoroughly everyday. Best housekeeping I have seen at any resort. We had privilege and enjoyed the perks. The Hot tub on the balcony was used daily and we really enjoyed that. The food was great no complaints. À la carts were all impressive. The only resorts that we consider a five star for food that we have been to is the [... read more] Bahia’s in Mayan Rivera Mexico. The staff seemed friendly enough . The staff jn the privilege pool area do not let you know perks you have access to. We saw someone ordering from a menu to have food delivered to pool. We were not aware of that option till we saw that the day we were leaving. The beach is really beautiful we wore shoes as it’s rocky till you get out farther. The only drawback is the lack of shade from the sun . You have to get up very early to get a seat with shade from sun . We would go back to this resort for sure.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Absolute Paradise !!!

This resort is amazing. We checked in seamlessly and received a free upgrade without asking. We booked a junior and received a premium room with swim up pool. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The resort was spotless and the food amazing and endless. Tons to do and lots of live entertainment etc. Would definitely recommend this beauty for a luxury vacation at an affordable budget!!

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Ocean Allure vacation Feb 18-25, 2026

Lovely hotel, rooms were well appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a few challenges trying to making reservations for dinner. The French restaurant was amazing as well as the beach restaurant. There was great areas to sit around the pools. All in all it was a fantastic vacation.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: El baso / El faro trip

The hotel adult side is rated as a 5, we had been to this property in 2019 El faro and now stayed at El baso. We have been to various Punta cana resorts approx 20 times. This hotel is a 3.5. Based on food, service, room condition, check in at El beso (Avery needs to improve on people skills ) and lack of Gluten free options, lack of ambiance in the a la carte restaurants noisy and buffet has better options, italian not good. Moldy rooms our friends room was moldy and smelled horrible, it took 2  [... read more]days to move them and the hotel rebooked the same room to someone else same day who in turn had the same issue. Why would that room not be taken out of service. Issues with front desk completing simple tasks like an additional blanket, filling the beer and water in fridge as promised and some arrogance . Dont put something in writing if you cant fufill it as a tour operator. Entertainment subpar except for fireshow which is a off premise group which tours hotels. Piano bar had an excellent pianist but horrible bar service every nite. Very little gluten free options many staff could not speak english and did not know what gluten free is which is dangerous if you have celiac or food allergies. One restaurant by the beach Villa marina, was never open, others were closed for private events which limited choice. Excessive attempts to upsell wines, beer and lobster at the a la cartes very annoying. We had a good time with our friends and will come back to Punta cana but somewhere else please note their are many great staff here which did provide excellent service such as the Pez damas restaurant at the beach excellent atmosphere ,food and service. The japenese Sakura restaurant was very good. Route 66 was typicall rd house but the hostess needs to lighten up and lose the attitude not much of a cheerlreader. Groundskeepwrs and security staff and bellboys and cart drivers were hard working. Lazy river is awesome,thankyou for topping up our floats. Great service at Mikes coffee and great selection but no gf deserts which you had in 2019. Beach lagoon was fun and safe to swim no reef or rocks. All in all we had a great time , well laid out resort, honest review and everyones experiece will differ based on their interactions and experiences and oh ya no snow to be found !

Ocean Coral and Turquesa is well laid out. It is easy to get around. The four pools run from North to South along the Caribbean Sea. We stayed at Privilege and had access to the fourth pool - adults only. The Privilege Lounge is lovely but the service is rather slow. Our butler, Carlos, was very helpful and assisted us with booking an Uber to go to Puerto Morelos. He also made all the restaurant bookings for us.The suites are spacious and comfy with a beautiful bathroom with a private toilet, la [... read more]rge shower area and a separate bathtub. We were unfortunate and had a few days of cold, windy weather. Other than that, I'd recommend this hotel.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great time

My wife And I along with my son and his girlfriend just stayed here last week. Overall we have a great time, the food was good, the staff were all excellent. We would go down for breakfast and comeback and our room was already cleaned. Never had any issues with our rooms. Pretty cool to see the wild monkeys along the path to the beach. They never ran out of anything during our stay. Booking the a la carte are a big of a pain to book in you have to go down super early and stand inline to book each day or login and try and get one. I do highly suggest going to both of the Xcaret parks, can say what a great time they both are. Xplor has the zip lines and many other things to do from caves to seeing a variety of animals. Food labels for the buffet would have been better then having the chief come out and show my wife what she could eat. As she has celiac. But they did accommodate every meal for her.

Ocean Maya Royale: Fantastic Resort

We enjoyed everything about this resort! The grounds are beautifully maintained and cared for! We ended up going to 3 of the specialty restaurants which were the Italian, Mexican and Blue Moon and the food was excellent! The food and choice in the Buffet was also great! Great resort with awesome food! We paid for privilege and were able to eat at an a la carte restaurant each night. Very clean rooms and grounds. The staff were amazing! Great beach and pool. Activities every night. It was so much fun.

Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Wonderful Resort

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Allure. The resort was beautiful, with a great room, wide range of restaurants and a spectacular beach. The service was exceptional with a very well trained, caring and attentive resort team. Fitness Centre was also excellent.

Ocean Eden Bay: Amazing Resort

The Ocean Eden Bay half of the resort is adult only and you have access to the family friendly side too. We have stayed at resorts where the pictures were great but the reality did not match. This is NOT the case here, the resort is just as beautiful as the pictures or even better! Just as important is the food. The buffet restaurant is quite good, my wife had a fresh amulet made for her every morning. I generally had the jerk sausage, some eggs and granola with yogurt and fruit. There [... read more] was so much we did not try. My wife did take her own tea bags, she likes plain old King Cole tea and everyone seems to provide specialty teas and that is not her thing. Not a big deal at all, but if you like a specific type of tea, pack a few bags. Lunch was similar in that we generally went to the buffet. There is a burger hut by the water park. The burger was good, but I loved there crispy fries. Now on to dinner. There is several restaurants that also available. We ate the Bluemoon Restaurant, Sakura (Oriental) and the Steak House. All were fantastic. Unfortunately the hurricane move/removed a lot of the sand at the beach. We did not swim, it was too rocky, but I did do some snorkeling. The beach is somewhat small, it is limited to the width of the resort as the resort. We did not have any issues getting chairs at the pool, we are early risers so maybe we just got there early enough. We did not make a special effort to get them, we always had breakfast first and then just made our way to the pool. Most of the time we even had loungers that were under the cabanas at the edge to be in the shade. I am not a beer drinker, but the beer choices did seem to be rather limited. Cocktails of all sorts were much more prevalent. I did have to ask to have more soda than rum. They do pour liberally! There is lots of noise on the internet about not using the safe and thefts. We did not have any of that. We did purchase a small personal travel/beach safe for our cash and passports and put that in the safe. We never felt unsafe ever. There is an Air Canada and WestJet desk next to the main lobby. It was easy to get answers, like when to be in the lobby on departure day. As well we used the AC agent to book us some excursions. Paid in CDN and gave us some comfort that the drivers and events were safe and insured. All and all, the best all inclusive resort that I have ever stayed at. My wife has even talked about going back.

Ocean El Faro: Clean and Beautiful

A large resort with many areas to occupy your day. Many staff working throughout the day and night, cleaning the pool, tending the garden, cleaning public areas and beach. Entertainment was plentiful and spread out from family areas and adult only areas. We changed our room from rooftop to swim up adults only area. This worked out as we now had a swim up facing the sun, near the action of a pool and bar. If you want privacy and quiet choose room top. We also upgraded to privileged, $575 cdn pp. [... read more] We didn't find it worth the price with other resorts at half that price. The provided butler did make our reservations for dinner, get us a dehumidifier , and wine and champagne. Our upgraded mini bar wasn't in place until day 4, which didn't matter as the excellent bar staff looked after us and our neighbors. The lighthouse restaurant, privileged only, was the gem of the resort, excellent food and service, top notch. A la carte restaurants were all good. The buffet was so so. ( We only went once and not impressed because the the light house was outstanding. The lazy river was nice, tubes provided, or bring your own. In room coffee was awful, no tea( hot water) available. The only good coffee was Mike coffee shop, a good variety of hot and cold drink with terrific friendly service. We did find that too many sales people trying to sell their chain program, a little annoying. Beach chairs and area was terrific, only drawback was the water was inaccessible to swim, of f which we knew. A cove usable to swim but was not owned by the resort and garbage washing up made it unappealing. 2 areas, family and adult , both terrific in there rite. We had a late departure flight, we left our luggage in the lobby lockup and enjoyed the facilities for the day. They booked us a shower located near the lobby before our departure. Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing experience

Kateryn assisted us during our trip booking and after. We really appreciate emails from her reminding of next steps as sometimes you can forget things when busy in life. She also recommended us better hotel to stay which we were so thankful. Our stay was amazing didn’t want to come back.
