Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Expected more from a Hilton

The reviews were mixed for this resort and we should have believed them. This resort is not a 4.5 star but more like a 3. First room faced a wall and had no safe. We requested a room change and got one the next day. In the meantime they brought up a safe. Second room was more pleasant and had a safe. The ceiling fan though, had a mind of its own. Initially there was no remote to operate it (and no wall switch), they brought a remote but in the middle of the night it would either turn on o [... read more]n its own and run extremely fast or if on, it would speed up to what seemed beyond the fastest speed. Housekeeping was hit or miss. We had to call 4 days/10 to get the room cleaned and finally reported it to the front desk. Toiletries were not replaced regularly, had to ask for body lotion more than once. Now the restaurants, buffet was extremely skimpy. The smallest I’ve ever seen at a resort. It lacked variety, was repetitive and for a vegetarian very difficult to get good healthy food. Freshly fried fish was only done twice in 10 days. They frequently served a rolled up fish, presented with different buttery or creamy sauces most days. I couldn’t help wonder where this fish came from as I’d never seen it before in Mexico when fresh fish is abundant. I was eating the retried beans and poached eggs until I tasted pork fat. Beach chairs required an early morning jaunt to save chairs. If you weren’t out by 8 am finding shade was difficult. Entertainment was a musical duo a twice a week. Font desk did not change American or Canadian money. Staff there was so so, not overly friendly. Same with the waiters. The nicest people were the housekeeping and grounds staff. Finally I’ll end on something positive. Location is close to airport.

Had a great time at resort. Staff were courteous and professional. Room was clean. No problem making reservations for restaurants. Food was good. Jamaica night excellent. Never lines for food or waiting to get seat. Lots of chairs at pool beaches. Great place for family.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: very clean and not too big

resort was just the right size. very clean .the only problem was the vendors were in your space the whole time on the beach. the staff were very friendly and very good in all aspects of our stay from the bar tenders to the room service to the front desk. very impressive. all in all i had a very good vacation

I enjoyed my stay. Great food, good beach, lots of open loungers at the pool and beach, mostly friendly staff, decent facilities, met lots of good people, fun water park. I'd for sure consider coming back at some point

The Hilton Rose Hall & Spa Resort was simply a marvellous place to stay in Montego Bay Jamaica. From the cleanliness of the hotel itself to the immaculate lush grounds, it is a first rate hotel. Minutes from the airport, friendly staff, clean rooms and excellent food throughout their buffet, many restaurants and the al carte provided. The cuisine is very authentic and something for everyone. If you are coffee lover their own grown Blue Mountain Coffee is the best we have experienced in the Caribbean. very well organize and run hotel, overall we were very impressed with our stay. All in all a wonderful stay and experience for us at The Hilton Rose Hall & Spa, we would highly recommend this resort to anyone...couples, families, wedding parties, they were all present. The hotel has so much to offer that I am sure I have missed. Believe all the reviews before this one, you will enjoy yourself at this resort.

Dreams Rose Hall: Christmas Vacation in Jamaica

The accommodation at the Hilton Rose Hall Hotel & Spa was excellent. We did have an initial problem with the location of our room. However, this was eventually resolved. The food in the main dining room and the speciality restaurant was both interesting and enjoyable. Unfortunately there were some minor setbacks: transfers to and from the airport were poorly organised and took far to long considering the proximity of the resort to the airport. Also the Sunwing staff on site (both at the airport [... read more] and at the resort) did not demonstrate a high level of competence. We were actually directed to the wrong bus at the airport which delayed our arrival at the hotel. Despite Tripcentral Agent Theresa Gates providing gift cards to enable us to use the VIP lounge, the experience was not particularly pleasant. The gift cards only provided a portion of the admission cost and didn't allow for booking online. The Mobay lounge staff will sell tickets at the airport, but the fee does NOT guarantee admission! we had to wait in line for quite a while until other travelers left, we actually had a little more than half hour to relax. Partialy due to the flight boarding ahead of schedule.

Hilton Curacao: Wonderful snorkelling

We had room 313, beside the elevator and above the bar, facing ocean. Music generally ended around 10/11 p.m., so no concerns with noise. No night time entertainment, which was fine with us. Rooms large, clean, good beds, fridge, quiet A/C and well maintained. Grounds/pool/beach well maintained. Older style hotel (5 storys) with three good restaurants. B'fast buffet was extensive and good. All staff very friendly and fluent in many languages. Food, though very good, was a bit pricey but  [... read more]you have to keep in mind that island does not grow much, so majority of food (fruit, vegetables, meat) is imported. About 1 hour walking distance to town, or can take the hotel shuttle. However, shuttle only available for 2 round trips per day and you cannot take the morning shuttle into town and return with the evening one - if you take the morning (8:15) shuttle, you have to return with the 1:15 shuttle. If you take the 1:30 p.m. shuttle, you have to return at 5:30 p.m. or take a taxi (approx $10 U.S. one way). Three offsite restaurants within walking distance of hotel. Except for dive boat and "submarine" boat, no problem with motorized watercraft near on-site beach. Good snorkelling on-site. Lots of palapas/umbrellas at beach and pool area. Towel exchange no problem. Great steam bath/sauna on site. Hotel not located in a busy area.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Nice resort.

Nice quiet location on the beach, closed to marine and city center. The building's design is modern and comfortable. The property inside and outside of hotel keeps clean. Our room cleaned daily with no complains about. The meal is good. The staff polite and tried them best.

Great coffee and juice bar by the beach and Moonstone restaurant is awesome for Pizza!!!! Lazy River is awesome !!!!! Could use a better stage for the nightly entertainment though.. having the cement floor as the stage is not so nice!!!!

Just got back from this wonderful resort. Amazing food and very clean! Friendly staff and lots of things to do! The only thing that I would complain lightly about would be that the beach had a bit of seaweed and was very shallow. Other than that is a 10/10 for me!

The hotel was just beautiful, all the staff was very hospitable. Rooms clean daily with fresh towels. Variety of foods to choose, love going to sea side grill restaurant for special of the day, patties just delicious also the midnight snacks, cannot ask for anything more as I am a food lover, fresh fruits daily. The grounds well kept, all the staff are so friendly always there when you need something. The kids area just unbelievable, enjoy the water slide and lazy river. Absolutely beautiful. Food was amazing every day, grounds are gorgeous, staff are all friendly and a couple of them really made the trip that much more enjoyable. Only complaint was that our fridge was stocked only twice in the week we stayed, even when It was empty most of the time, either way It was honestly the best week of my life. I'll be back again and again.

This hotel was great. We stayed for 6 days 5 nights and did a lot. We went on 3 tours and always caught the nightly entertainment. The resort food was amazing and the staff was so great! The bartenders were so friendly and always willing to make us new and exceptionally good drinks. Maurice and Charles were SUPER great bartenders and make the best 'dirty bananas '. If you go to seaside restaurant ..you must as for Latoya. What a great server. She always made us feel so welcomed. We can't wait to go back . The staff are great and really gave a lasting impression. Lots of beach space to accommodate those who are looking for some R&R. Food is delicious and lots of diversity! Would recommend to anyone looking for an above average vacation.

My family and I had a great stay at Hilton Rose Hall. The service was exceptional and the food was great. We loved the waterslides and lazy river and the beach was very clean. We will be back some day soon!

Dreams Rose Hall: Something for Everyone

Our family visited the resort for a 1 week stay. There were 3 adults and one toddler age 2. The property is beautifully landscaped and the common areas were always clean. I must have went around the lazy river about 5 times per day. My son really enjoyed the small waterslide. The food buffet was good, with a large selection. Each day had a theme. We especially loved the Jamaica theme which included jerk pork, chicken, shrimp and snapper. I would suggest a better menu at the a la carte restaurant [... read more]s. The food was bland and the dessert entee and side dishes seemed scanty. The wifi had great reception around the property. ( I read bad reviews on trip advisor) but I was snap chatting, facebooking and instagraming without a hitch. The only downside is you have to login every 24 hour. The room was always clean when we got back. Overall we collectively give the resort a 8 out of 10, 10 being very good.

Very clean and extremely helpful staff; We initially had a problem with the our room on the ground floor (requested full ocean front) but the an outdoor restaurant partially blocked our view including the heavy guest traffic walking by to the beach was uncomfortable. After three nights we were transferred to the 6th floor of full ocean view which was great. The entire resort was a pleasure to stay at; we would definitely return.

The grounds are beautiful, easy access to all areas, well kept, rooms are nicely cleaned, enough towels in the room, water park was a lot of fun and great for families, ample beach/pool chairs, food was very good, so much variety beach was small but clean as workers groomed beach every day

Elara Hilton Grand Vacations Hotel Center Strip: The Elara - lovely hotel

The Elara is a really nice hotel. Spacious suites, clean, good views. The staff are very welcoming, professional and friendly. There is no restaurant, but there is a Starbucks and a general store. There is also a lovely pool. The hotel is not directly on the Strip, but is reached through the Miracle Mile shops, about a five minute walk. There is also no casino. All in all a very nice hotel, had everything we wanted and would not hesitate to go here again. (In fact this was our second stay here! [... read more]).

Wonderful Hotel! Great staff! Great food! Lots to do! Amazing! We would go back in a heartbeat!!! Kids had a blast at the lazy river and waterslides! Beach was beautiful! Resort was spotlessly clean , grounds were beautiful. Rooms all have great views!
