Catalonia Montego Bay: Good Resort!

The hotel was great- We stayed at Holiday Inn Resort for 5 days all inclusive. We had a standard room which was basic but clean, the building is not the newest or most modern but it is functional and good for the value; the staff is very nice and helpful. Great beach, pools and buffet especially breakfast!

Holiday Inn Huatulco: Wonderful small resort right on the Marina

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, Santa Cruz, Huatulco, Mexico last week. The staff from check-in day until the last day were so hospitable, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. The hotel is Extremely clean, well laid out, and the pool was gorgeous. This is a small resort and you get to know your fellow travellers. The food was mediocre but great for the price we paid for the vacation We had no complaints.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Wonderful vacation!

Holiday Inn Hotel and Reaort was a wonderful place to stay. The facility was well kept and clean. Our room was always tidied and fresh for when we returned from a day of relaxing by the pools or exploring the area. Staff were always friendly and extremely helpful with all inquiries. The food and drink selection was vast and delicious. More options then I could try! Thanks for having us at your resort, we will be back soon.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great stay!

Great food, clean and friendly staff! Service was good and overall great resort for cost! Sunsets were amazing! Beach clean and chairs accessible at all times! Fast check in. A good variety of drinks and food.

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Excellent location and great service

Beautiful location right on the beach, rooms were great and the service was perfect. My only complaint was the food. The resort is advertised as having 4 restaurants but this isn't true. They are all open at different times not consequently and the food is pretty much the same at all of them. Food tastes okay but pretty much the same thing everyday. All in all a 3 star hotel. I would recommend to others

Food was amazing - tons of variety and so many choices at the snack bar (jerk chicken is a must), no issues with food or drinks Beach was beautiful and water was clear enough to see the sea life Room was clean and maids kept it spotless each day Ground were kept neat and clean Staff- super friendly and always inviting Entertainment - excellent! always had everyone getting involved ( panio man in the main lobby is a great time!)

Holiday Inn Huatulco: A great location in Santa Cruz

The Holiday Inn has the potential to be a great hotel. They are centrally located and within walking distance of the Santa Cruz beach and the walkway to La Crucecita. They did an amazing job of this walkway and it is a lovely attraction with a view of the ocean at the beginning and a view of the Sierre Madres as a backdrop. Breathtaking! There was  [... read more]never a lack of servers but their appeared to be no direction provided to them. No server had a set number of tables and resulted in numerous servers waiting on you resulting in a chaotic serving pattern. Appetizers and main courses at the same time or appetizers after main course. However, the quality of the food served was always fresh and pleasant to the eye. Their wait staff made a concerted effort to be helpful and were warm and friendly. Suggestion: the arrangement of the breakfast buffet and the lineup at the omelette centre was convoluted. The buffet lineup should be reversed and the location of a single table directly in front of the omelette area should be removed. Special kudos to the following: Andres (young server), Andres (older server),Gabriel, Onofre, Rudolfo, Carlos, Israel, Edmond (chef), and special mention to the young lady (Adalid) who was exceptional. Also, the young man, Saul, who attended bar was good but very shy and seldom made eye contact; could attribute this to his young age. The potential to be good. The front desk was okay but not overly helpful. Maricruz was probably the strongest of the front desk staff. There was a lack of beverage mixes at the bar (tonic) for days and light beer on several occasions. It just didn't seem to be a priority. The rooms were spotless and the cleaning staff did a great job. Best beds and linens. Loved the darkening drapes. More effort to cleaning in the lobby and aisleways could be improved. However, the area adjacent to the bar was always meticulously maintained and they attended to the grass and plants daily. Biggest issue was the cleanliness of the pool and daily pool maintenance. The area was never cleaned the entire time there with one exception when they stained the far end of the pool deck. They have a big issue with bird and droppings on the deck, deck chairs, pool loungers and in the water. They did have a hawk whisperer, Abraham, come in two days a week for about one hour to scare the birds away, but as soon as he left the birds were back. I never saw anyone physically vacuum the pool, clean the pool deck, etc., and we were on the deck before 7 a.m. every day. Refrigerators in every room would be a plus. Some guests did have them them but it was a haggle to obtain. All in all, we would stay there again and feel some constructive input would assist them in making the Holiday Inn a definite gem. Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Wouldn't recommend

If you're looking for a 1.. maybe 2 star resort this might peak your interest... We have been travelling to Mexico every year for the last six years now and I have never been to an all inclusive resort where they don't have resort staff walking around the pools offering drinks. There was one bartender at the Dolphin pool bar (Kids pool) who was incredible (Orlando - Personable, friendly and great drinks). The a la carte restaurant was not very good and the "Catch of the day" was quite fishy smelling and not fresh (Ourselves and a few other couples left after dinner to the buffet). Not to mention it is quite cool and windy at night and they don't have portable propane heaters on that patio, only the buffet dining area (which is quite far away from the water so already warmer...) Didn't make for a nice experience when everyone is wearing winter coats and/or blankets at dinner. The buffet is minimal and doesn't have many options especially if you have young kids who don't eat spicy foods or those with lots of sauces. You can however, request a pizza, hot dog, or fries for them (Or unless you want them to eat the fruit loops that are put out for them for dinner...). There were no fresh veggies other than lettuce. However, the morning omelette women were excellent and the omelettes and fried eggs were always great! The fish tacos, pizza, salad, and nachos available at lunch time at the restaurant by the ocean were very good! The rooms are good enough if you're just going to sleep in it as they are very outdated, our toilet leaked and the sink backed up when brushing teeth. (We did notify the front desk of the problem and the staff wasn't helpful as they either couldn't understand what we were saying or pretended not to). We did have a fridge, but they don't stock them with anything. In fact, they aren't even plugged in. We were "Upgraded" to an ocean view room on arrival because they were over capacity for the one we had booked... which is nice and all but not when there is no elevator and you have to pack your stroller up and down 3 flights of stairs with your baby to get to your room on the top floor. (Again we mentioned this to the front desk and they said they didn't have any available ground floor rooms). Is it common to not get face clothes? Again.. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't provide those. The pools are very cool and not used as much as the pools usually are when you go to Mexico... By our 5th day they had finally increased the temperature in the activity pool but the kids pool is pretty cold. If you're one who likes entertainment this isn't a resort you would enjoy as the entertainment is very minimal. No dinner&show combos nightly like your typical all inclusive resort. No indoor to hold shows like this it seemed.. everything was outside. The thing we did enjoy was the sunshine&blue sky! If you're looking to book an all inclusive it is definitely worth spending a little more to get yourself to a different resort.

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Great resort, beautiful weather and beach

Rooms have been updated and very nice, food only fair, employees excellent and are the main reason we go back to the resort. New management has greatly improved the grounds and the resort is very clean and looks fantastic.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Awesome resort

It was very clean our room was very nice people were amazingly friendly. Food was delicious.no straws for frozen drinks but we survived lol a lot of activity to do very organized Loved our stay we will be back

The staff was awesome.....such warm and welcoming people !!!they made are time there so much fun .. cry when I had to leave . I have soooo many friends there now !!!! will be back ! felt like home .. The stage shows were off the chain...food was phenomenal! it was like being in heaven. .

Catalonia Montego Bay: Holida Inn Montego bay review

I took my 2 adult children and my adult Grandaughter to this resort on Feb 16 to Feb 23. When we arrived the girl at front desk was rude with us. Then on Mon Feb 18 our room got flooded out we were moved to a suite but our luggage was all wet from toilet back up there was feces everywhere on luggage ,we had to do laundry and throw all snack food we brought with us. The food was awful we all had a hard time finding something to eat at all meals. The staff were not friendly at all very rude. Our room was never cleaned we would have to wait for maid until very late in day to get towels etc. I will not recomend this resort to anyone i was very disappointed in all areas. Holiday Inn at Universal: Could have been better....

We found most of the staff to be very nice and easy to deal with, but had some issues with the cleaning of our room. It was hit and miss, as one day we might not get clean towels left, and another day the only replacement coffee pods would be decaf coffee. This is an older hotel, and we found that it could have been a bit cleaner. On a good note, it was close to attractions. When booking I was under the impression that there was a continental breakfast included, but this was not the case.

Holiday Inn Orlando SW Celebration Area: Average

The carpet in the room smelt, the clock was off, the toilet flush did not work, I had to lift the top off and jiggle the plumber after use, my room was connected by a close door early to another room and I registered several complaints to the front desk to send a security guard to advise the resident to lower the noise level ~ eventually I had to change my room.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great geography! Safe, clean and convenient.

This resort is situated on a long stretch of beach. We loved that the resort and beach were smoke-free! We found it fairly easy to find chairs on the beach no matter the time of day. The water was shallow with lots of marine life if you like snorkeling or just wading through the water pointing out fish and sea urchins. Hotel staff were steadily patrolling the beach for cups and garbage. Security was also present but not obtrusive.The size and layout of the resort was perfect. The outdoor chess game was a personal favourite - also right on the beach. The hamburger shack, icecream hut and jerk chicken shack were fantastic! The buffet was OK. The Japanese a La Carte was 20$ and well worth it! The food was amazing and the chef put of an entertaining show. We were less satisfied with the 25$ upgrade at the seafood a La Carte. I ordered the surf and turf and the steak tasted terrible. The room was clean, and the beds and pillows were nice. The balcony was well sized but it was very difficult to open and close the patio door. The bathroom was pretty small and it was almost impossible to get a decent hot shower between 4-6pm. The internet connection was good enough in the room that I was able to stream netflix on my laptop without much interruption. Check-in, check-out was a fairly smooth process. The guest lounge was a great perk to get you through that awkward period of time between check-out and the shuttle ride to the airport. I was a little irritated that I wasn't able to check into my room until after 3:00pm upon arrival. Based on flight delays I didn't get to the resort until Sunday but I had paid for a room starting Saturday. I was not refunded for that night so I should have been checked in as soon as I got there. I followed up with my booking agent and received a generic and lame reply about how that's the standard. Not a luxurious resort, but if you are okay with getting your own drinks and timing your showers to low consumption times, the resort is good value for the money.

Spent a week at Holiday Inn Resort at Montego Bay Jamaica... Friendly staff food amazing did 1 al la carte resturant .. and the Managers Dinner.. food was amazing we enjoyed the buffet ..choices were delicious fav was stuffed chicken and the turkey 😋 rooms were great except for no fridge and bottled water.. had to buy it but we kept our bottles and refilled at the buffet each day for morning coffee in our rooms .. Catalonia Montego Bay: Good and bad

Amazing food, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms on the whole good but the bathrooms need a lot of work. Hot water for a shower was a novelty. If I hadn’t paid so much I’d rate it higher . Swim up bar was scummy

We had the honor of going to Montego Bay to the Holiday Inn and resort from Feb. 1-9 2019. The people who work at this resort were amazing. From the first step into the resort the people were friendly and helpful. We took a taxi to the Harley Davidson store, the customer service agent there called and our taxi was there in minutes.
