Grand Oasis Cancun: Mediocre resort

From the check-in to check-out it wasn't the best place I've stayed. Started with the 1 1/2 hours just to check in cause they only had 2 people on the desk. Process was painfully slow and very frustrating. Got to our room, wanted to shower after a long day only to find no towels in the room. A theme repeated on a daily basis. Housekeeping would take the towels but never leave fresh towels in the room. Floor hadn't been swept during the entire stay. Expected a king size bed we had paid for  [... read more]and got 2 double beds pushed together. Mini fridge was not filled at all without being requested when told it would be filled every 2 days Entertainment: nightly shows were extraordinarily poor. No thought it seemed given to actually entertaining anyone and not worth watching. Restaurants: definitely not the best. Only one had food that was any good, very disappointing to say the least. Will definitely not be going back

Smart Cancun By Oasis: There Feb 24/23 to March 3/23

Overall, good hotel. Walking in, it’s a very run of the mill small hotel lobby, clean and had a beautiful smell. Staff was pleasant but we were taken by surprise by the $50 U.S. hotel fee. At first, the rooms look nice but the bare basics as far as cleaning was done. Mirrors were dirty, swing out mirror was filthy, bad smell in the mini fridge but the floors, washroom and bed were acceptable. NO BALCONY ON THE 4th, 5th and 6th floors-(only on 2nd and 3rd). Pool area: probably one of the prettiest most comfy spots I’ve ever come across. Beautifully done and clean! This hotel is close to everything and perfectly located being close to Costco, Walmart, a great market across the street. We made our own meals, which was great. 12 pesos gets you to the beach (roughly 2.6 km from the hotel) and 12 pesos back. Unbeatable location and great price! Had a very relaxing time and may very well go back!

The Pyramid Cancun: Not Great

We took the ocean front room which was a VIP upgrade. The resort property is great but the rooms are poorly maintained, and the customer service is extremely bad. When I say bad customer service I don’t mean someone didn’t smile back at me. The staff is overworked and look exhausted. The person who checked us in the VIP lounge said he can’t answer any questions, just download their App to look for all the information. It took several days and many calls to front desk just to get co [... read more]ffee replenished in our room. The food is mediocre and all three meals have very similar food items. We were bored of eating the same food by day 2. The ala carte restaurants have long waitlists and the app to make reservations is awful. The room are old and dingy and the bathrooms stink really bad. The resort property is really good though too bad it’s so poorly managed.

Grand Oasis Palm: Good Resort!

Hotel was ok, room was overlooking the pool/ocean but was loud some nights and rowdy. The restaurants that required reservations were a drag as you’d waste an hour trying to make them. The service was great whether you needed information in either language but some of the restaurant workers were confused with their hours as they worked in multi establishments…house cleaning was hit and miss, varied times each day…resort was clean

Grand Oasis Cancun: Worst trip ever - disappointing

Many disappointing experiences: 1) poor food quality, all Mexican despite advertising to have a variety of cuisines (long line ups for restaurants), 2) bad hotel quality/old, 3) no safe, made you rent it, 4) lack of certain things (drinks, beach towel, etc.)

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Not Amazing

We would rate Oh Hotel Urban Oasis a 2*. It is promoted as a 4*, which is very deceiving. The place had curb appeal and the lobby was nice, but the rest was a 2*. We have never stayed at a two star, but I believe a 2 would be more accurate. The room is so small, dated and depressing. I had a baby salamander in the shower one morning. The free breakfast was terrible. I would not have paid money for it. We paid to eat in the restaurant two dinners, which were only okay. They didn’t have red wine, only white and the wait time was approximately 25 or 30 minutes with only 3 of us in the restaurant. We only stayed two nights out of 7 and spent the rest of the time at the RIU Palace Kulkukan in Hotel zone. The Oh Cancun is downtown in a rough area. The Coffee shop in the Oh Cancun is nice, but the coffee did not taste like coffee - very watered down. The palm trees are lovely out back. The pool is ok - needs repair work and the one ladder is junk. The drinks at the pool bar are sugary and watered down - to be fair, we only had one each and neither of us enjoyed it. Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Excellent experience!

Great hotel for the price they ask. Attentive staff, clean and cozy. Decent breakfast, including healthy choices. Despite its location, it’s not too far from the beach. Bus stop is couple of steps away from the hotel, and it takes around 10-15 min to get to the beach. We really were happy that we chose this hotel, the only recommendation I would leave is adding the treadmill to the gym’s equipment.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great first resort but..

First time going to an all inclusive. I was looking at the grounds when booking and wanted something big with lots of views and pools. I wanted a party and to have a great time in Cancun. I had a great time, the staff parties and grounds were wonderful but I do not think I’ll be going back here next time due to now knowing what I want when going to an all inclusive. And I got to do just that every day without leaving the resort (it’s huge) but the pools were a big thing for me when booking, I didn’t go into the pool once, so next time that’s one thing that I won’t care about really. Food: gross survived on chips guacamole which wasn’t that that good and fruit from the buffet. If you do go here prebook restaurants the day you get the for every night. It’s ok food and at least gets you through the week Rooms: 2/10 beds horrible, pillows horrible. Shower was good but we had a cockroach in our room we had to kill and it was horrible lol Staff : absolutely wonderful ! Great people. Never had any problems. Felt so safe at the resort. Really overall had a great time. But next time I will be looking at rooms and food as my main points of interests ♥️

Grand Oasis Cancun: Beautiful pools and views

Grand Oasis Cancun: BEST RESORT EVER

The resort I had the most amazing event, the most amazing stuff, and was just fine overall. The result was huge it was the size of like seven mention, the hotel room is perfect, and I met so many amazing people. The experience is 10 out of 10.

The Pyramid Cancun: Good value great staff

Pros: 1. Nice and friendly staff 2. Food in most restaurants is amazing (especially Sakura and benezuza) 3. Good if you are looking to party 4. LOADS of options to eat and drink. Over 20 restaurants Cons: 1. Rooms are little old 2. Alcohol feels diluted 3. Beach had sea weed (to be fair it's not their fault and it was everywhere else as well) 4. No one picks up the phone if you call from your room

Grand Oasis Cancun: Basic resort and bad staff

I have had a bad experience dealing with staff in the resort. The service was really bad and almost none of the staff speaks English. The food was really good and I liked the variety of options however all drinks are watered down and not good. The swimming pool was the best part of the vacation however we got kicked out at 8 pm everyday because they close it. The entire resort close at 11 pm so no clubs and nothing really to do other than walking around and going to sleep after 11. Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Friendly interactive courteous staff

Surprisingly spacious grounds and clean. Breakfast was always adequate, plentiful and changing daily. Always felt safe when walking or taking the bus in our area. Busy area always something to see or do with restaurants and markets everywhere.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Nice Beach

If you are going for beach, sun, some drink, some food etc. it’s perfectly fine. You often read the odd review and it’s so dependent upon the a hole that is writing the review. If you want luxury and the best of everything this place is not for you. You wanna get away for 4 or 5 days it’s good enough. Any all inclusive much longer is redundant as far as I’m concerned.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Max a 3 star hotel

The resort is very big, but the rooms smell humid, the staff isn’t particularly friendly/helpful. One of the sports staff was actually snobby. There are 2 types of bracelets - blue for regular and black for luxury - and with the blue bracelet you don’t have access to restaurants, some areas, mixed drinks. This was my first time booking an all inclusive as an adult (I had been twice as a teen with my parents), and was really not a good one. Not recommended at all. Tripcentral rates this as a 4.5 star, Google says 3, I would put it at a 2. The only good thing was the beach.

The Sens Cancun: Worst trip ever !!!

Staff that were not being tipped were super rude. Unfriendly and I accommodating. They wouldn’t restock water in room they tell me call 0 but no one would ever pick up. Ask at front desk and they would forget. Had a leak from the ceiling the entire two weeks no one fixed it I slipped on wet floor. Pool was freezing cold onky good thing was the beach. It was calm and shallow to swim and warm. Food was not great and same thing every night. They watered down the juices. I bc feel like they ju [... read more]st cut corners and gave the bare minimum. It’s. 2.5 star at best I spent a lot to travel rn and it was not worth it at all. And the people mostly locals that occupied the hotel were super rude and unfriendly and the few North Americans I did meet said the same thing. Grand Oasis Cancun: Great value cancun vacation

I recently booked a trip for two with my 19yr old son through trip central travelling via sunwing airlines. Fir the price ($2600) I don’t think I could find a better value fir a 7day all inclusive vacation Fir two. There were highs and lows however. The positives of this trip is 1) direct flight avoiding possible COVID19 exposure at multiple airports. 2) The airport pick up and drop off was very well organized. 3) multiple emails from trip central on things to know, do, booking confirmation he [... read more]lped with clarity and reducing risks associated with travel. 4) The grand oasis provides exceptional entertainment experience beyond what I expected. The fun factor is definitely undeniable. The hotel staff are generally polite and accommodating. The negatives are The food quality and service is So so, nothing I would go out of my way to eat. The food service quality is poor. I’m disgusted by the fact cups are picked up of the beach and pool deck to be reused. One of the plastic cups I drank out of had a black cigarette butt burn mark at the bottom of it which I only discovered after finishing most of my drink. The optics of seeing staff picking up cups to reuse is not good particularly while we are dealing with a infectious disease crisis globally. A service staff explained they don’t have enough cups and need to reuses cups laying around. I liked the salad bar but the “dos lunas” restaurant food quality was very poor. Late night food smelled off and not appetizing. Worst fettuccine alfedo I’ve ever had. The third day I was there dealt with severe stomach and back pain which was unsettling. Room was okay but small. Absolutely felt frustrated with workers drilling and hammering in adjacent rooms stating at 8am. Seemed like clock work. The other part that the resort doesn’t have A lot of control off is the noise level from spring breakers but guess that’s my fault fir time of year I chose. Also would have like daily replenishing of water and drinks rather than every 2-3 days. Overall, the spring break atmosphere made the resort a vibrant place to be and entertainment adds to that but food qusiity and service, as well as making the stay comfortable needs improvement.

The Pyramid Cancun: Amazing views

Great resort the food was excellent and the view was spectacular. Resort staff were all great to deal with and everything we did was very well organized. Would highly recommend booking at the pyramid resort.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Amazing resort; 100% recommend!

The hotel itself was extremely clean, and the staff was very welcoming. Overall, if you're young and like to party, then Grand Oasis Cancun is your best choice. We will definitely be coming back again!

Smart Cancun By Oasis: Pleasantly Surprised :)

Very clean and well maintained hotel, pool is gorgeous with good live music in the evenings, a very central location close to the ADO bus station, Mercado 23, Mercado 28, Parque de las Palapas, grocery stores, restaurants, and more! Also a good breakfast buffet and excellent espresso based coffees to purchase. House Cleaning Services were also very good. No complaints at all!
