Isla Mujeres Palace: Great smaller resort!

Hotel 4* Pool/pool bar 3.5* Rooms 4.5* Beach/ocean 3.5* Room service 5* Hotel staff 5* Food 4.5* Great resort but a little rough around the edges. Very quiet resort with little or no night life. Mostly middle aged or older folks. Disappointed with beach and ocean. Lots of boats coming from Cancun to docks next door. Hotel has a small beach area and the ocean was not very inviting. One restaurant in the evening along with room service. Fish tacos and menu at pool restaurant were awesome [... read more]. Staff at this resort were top notch throughout resort. Nice double hot tub in room. Great vacation with wife and friends. Would not return to this resort although nothing was really bad about it.

Isla Mujeres Palace: Small Resort with a BIG Heart

We just returned from a week at Isla Mujeres Palace resort. What a Great small resort! Our stay began with a catamaran ride over to the island. Once we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with a tropical drink, a flower and a cold towel by the front desk staff. They were very friendly and got us checked in very quickly. We were taken up to our room which was very clean and comfortable. Every detail and amenity has been thought out, from the OPI toiletries to the bar stocked with ful [... read more]l sized bottles. If you need anything at all (like another bottle of wine) it is just a phone call away. We took advantage of room service every morning, ordering a pot of coffee, which we found was a great way to start our day while getting ready to go down for breakfast. There is one restaurant on site as well as a snack bar. We had breakfast and dinner at Azul, the main restaurant. Breakfast was either buffet or you could order from the menu. Dinner was menu with Daily Specials. We never had a bad meal. Flavours were amazing and portions were perfect. The wait staff were extremely helpful and very attentive to our needs. Lunch was served poolside at the Ceviche snack bar. Our favourites were the boneless chicken wings and the pizzas made in the wood-fired pizza oven. The quality of the food as well as the caring staff made this and outstanding experience. We took advantage of our resort credits to do the Chef’s Dinner, the Romantic dinner on the beach and a couples massage. The Chef’s Dinner was the BEST! We were served items that I would never have tried, but they were outstanding for presentation and flavours! Professionally presented, masterly designed, this is a must do!!!The romantic dinner on the beach was great! They served surf and turf with appetizers, salad and dessert, all within a beach-side romantic setting. A great experience! The one thing that we adored most about this resort was the intimate feel. With it being only 62 rooms, it is much quieter than the larger resorts. You get to meet the other guests, and they and the staff quickly become your friends. As you walk through the resort, the views are outstanding. The halls have wide spaces facing the ocean, with many areas to sit and relax. The overall feeling of tranquility and beauty assist with relaxation and enjoyment. The one downfall has nothing to do with the resort, but their neighbours. This resort is between two properties that bring day visitors by the multiple boatload to party, eat and drink. Although unfinished, the property to the north looks to be developing a waterpark which we fear this will bring additional noise and chaos to the Palace Resort. The properties are very close together and we worry about the loss of those features that the Palace staff work so hard to achieve. Overall we would highly recommend this small, intimate resort to any couple looking for a quiet, romantic getaway. You will be treated very well, enjoy wonderful meals, meet fantastic people and actually have the time to finally enjoy that good book you have been waiting to enjoy for so long.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Best resort for parents and kids!

Everything at the Grand was top notch!! Best place we’ve been, and probably the only place we’ll go to again. Never ending activities-day and night, great Service everywhere and Fantastic food at all the a la carte’s, and the rooms were amazing!! Large jacuzzi tub, an oil diffuser, CHi bathroom products and your own bar and fridge that are restocked daily!! The only minor complaints I have would be that the beds are only doubles, not queens. And the beach is not the greatest if you’re a [... read more] beach lover. But those are minor setbacks for my family!! Pay the extra $$ to go this Resort, it’s truly amazing and you won’t spend an extra dime aside from tipping. (Which I hope you all do! 😊)

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Amazing resort!

The Grand at Moon Palace is absolutely beautiful! The grounds and pools are incredible and very clean. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurants are incredible - we never had a bad meal! We did have some issues with a lack of communication on behalf of the resort - it was sometimes difficult to get information as we were told different things by different people. The resort is fairly new, so I am attributing this to growing pains. The staff w [... read more]ere quite helpful, they just need to work on communicating with the guests. One suggestion, book excursions, spa treatments and dinners as soon as you arrive. It was often challenging to find times and I wasn't a fan of spending an hour booking things inside. We did use the Palace Resorts app which is quite helpful when we figured out we could book various meals and spa treatments with the app - they were very responsive! Keep in mind, the beach at the resort is not spectacular, but the pools and the resort itself more than make up for that. Overall a great resort and we would definitely go back!

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Unbelievably amazing!

This resort is incredible! We've been to many all inclusive resorts around the Caribbean and Mexico, and by a landslide, this one beats them all. Perfect drinks, amazing and tasty food, MASSIVE ROOMS, great service, and fantastic pools. No complaints about anything from us! The staff are friendly and always make you feel welcomed and special. Moon Palace Cancun: Amazing resort

We just returned from the vacation two weeks ago. This was one of the best time in the Mexico for us. Hotel is big, and comfortable. Lots of pools and lots of beds around them. You do not have to worry about the space. The staff is nice and friendly. They almost read in your mind.

The Grabd is a large resort with lots of pool and restaurant options. We travelled as a family 2 kids age 9 and 12. The resort is beautiful very very clean. Restaurants are excellent food was fabulous many pools to choose from somewhere heated and very warm. All staff were friendly happy and willing to help with anything. Moon Palace Cancun: Great resort for the whole family

We stayed at the Palace section of the Moon Palace and it was fantastic. The resort was clean, the staff were friendly, and there was always a large selection/variety of foods to eat. The pools were heated which was nice on the cloudy days and lots of available pool chairs well into the morning (for the sleep in days). The kids area was appropriate for many ages with a lazy river, wave pool, and splash pad. Inside the playroom was an arcade, bumper cars, high rope obstacle, and many other  [... read more]games. The room was nice with comfortable beds, a stocked fridge, and Chi hair products! Overall I would return to this resort due to the close proximity to the airport and the wonderful experience we had.

Moon Palace Cancun: Excellent Resort

The hotel was very well appointed. Restaurants were better than most I have experienced in other '5 star' All Inclusives. Golf course is beautiful as is the affiliated course at Riviera. My only complaints are that it was frustrating attempting to arrange adequate tee-times for golf. As well was dissatisfied with the shuttle service back to the airport at the end of the trip. All in all though I would have to say that the trip provided excellent value for the price.

Moon Palace Cancun: Stunning!

The Grand at Moon palace is beautifully designed, and runs like a well oiled machine. They are also incredibly accommodating and planned out for disabled persons. We were given the use of a wheelchair 100% of the grounds and many of the pools were accessible this way. We loved it so much, our family booked for spring break while we were there, and we will definitely be back ourselves!

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Kids Loved it! Staff Were Awasome!

Great Resort, a little sad the slides were not open. The Spa was incredible!!!! We really did not like the scent they chose to pump through the lobby we had a hard time walking through there. The food was great! lots to choose from. The steak house was all booked up so we could not get into it. Everything was very clean.

Moon Palace Cancun: Grand Moon Palace Review

Our overall stay at the grand moon palace was great. There were both positive and negative comments about the resort however the good outweighed the bad. We booked with trip central originally planning on staying at the Moon Palace Nizuc. Once arriving in Cancun we were directly transported to the grand moon palace from the airport. When I asked why we were not going to Nizuc they told me they overbooked and upgraded me free of charge. I am extremely happy they did this because the g [... read more]rand is definitely better. Not that Nizuc or Sunrise were bad.....they we’re just more dated the new grand Hotel. We unfortunately could not get a room until 5 PM. We arrived at the hotel at 12 noon so we had to kill five hours with two young children walking around the resort. Honestly I think they were trying to find us a room. I had to somewhat be aggressive and request a room because I had two young children that we’re getting tired from being up since 4 o’clock in the morning . Once I did this I got a room fairly quickly. The overall grounds at the grand we’re beautiful. The pools, restaurants, hotel facilities such as fitness room and spa were sensational. The resort was not as lush as a mature landscaped property however the overall cleanliness was superb. The food was excellent. With lots of restaurants to choose from. I never once felt ill nor disliked what I eat. The drink and food service was very good and respectful. Unfortunately it took three days for them to clean my room. I had to complain three times in order for them to do this. I have a feeling I may have been off the grid and they may have not realized I was occupying this room. Once I spoke to a maid on our floor we never had an issue again. The night entertainment was scheduled somewhat late for my younger kids. My children being six and eight years old had a difficult time making it to 9 PM for a night show. If the shows were scheduled more towards 8 PM they perhaps would have seen more. But there were lots of other things for them to do The Kidzone, wave pool and splash pad were excellent features for our family. This kept our kids occupied many of times throughout the week. My wife and I were able to relax in the sun close by and feel secure knowing the kids were nearby. The large waterslide Park was shut down. Apparently the entire thing has to be disassembled in reconstructed. It is not a matter of it being unfinished it simply is deemed unsafe according to the hotel. The hotel in the contractor that built the waterslides are in a legal battle trying to resolve things. I found this out from one of the hotel managers. Once the slides are completed one day this will definitely be an extra added feature to the overall hotel. There was never an issue trying to find a lounge chair around one of the pools. You do not have to get up super early to save a chair. Never once throughout my stay did I ever feel unsafe. Certain ground floor rooms had their own pool. I will definitely look into the cost what one of these rooms would’ve been in comparison to what I paid. The stretch of beach that this hotel is located on is not The greatest. The sand is OK however the water has a lot of seaweed and not the greatest for swimming. If you’re looking for beach destination I would not recommend this hotel. When checking out on our last day there was a little bit of a mixup. We were not on Any air transit list to transport us back to the airport. I was in the lobby checked out well in advance. I had to visit the air transit desk to try and find out where my ride was back to the airport. Nobody had me on any of their lists. I was extremely stressed out and scared that I was going to miss my flight. I was picked up at the hotel by another air transit van that seem to have me on a list. This again was after I called to find out what was going on. We cut it very close however did make it on time for our flight. Everyone else that was on my flight was transported to the airport at least a half hour before myself. At the end of the day I made it and everything was fine but there was a little bit of a scare. I will certainly return to the grand moon palace one day. I am very happy that trip central suggested this resort to me. I spoke with others on our flight that stayed at other resorts in the Mayen. One of the disadvantages was the fact that they travelled over an hour after the flight to get to the resort, the moon palace is only a 15 minute bus ride from the airport. I think this is an excellent thing to note when people are asking about Mexico.

Moon Palace Cancun: Beautiful resort.

Service was not the greatest pools where not heated. Too much walking for seniors. Mix up in rooms and we where given wrong room. Guest service was very difficult to deal. Band outside our resort playing out loud music and when we complained they said we will move you to another room.

Moon Palace Cancun: Wonderful Resort

Just returned from a 7 days stay at Moon Palace, Nizuc (January 15th-22nd) Really loved the resort, service is great, staff very polite and courteous. Food was amazing, the best of all the all inclusive resorts that I have being. Heated pool, huge water park, bigger, newer and nicer rooms. More restaurant options and apparently better food (didn’t know it could get better) but didn’t see the ice cream cart around the pool area like I saw in the Nizuc and Sunrise The Nizuc was smaller and more fun, with great activities around the pool and beach. Sunrise is where the kids playroom is nicer and bigger and they also have a kids pool/splash pad We didn’t get bored not even in a rainy day. I was prepared to be bombarded by the time share people, after reading some reviews. It was not bad at all they offered a breakfast at the Grand so you get to go there without paying for the day pass, since I knew it was a “trap” I just declined and had 2 little kids with me so wasn’t difficult, they never asked or offered anything again Check in was fast, empty room, they offered some snacks and drinks which where great. I guess I arrived at a good time. Check out was long and busy but the staff was making sure to get you trough a bit faster. I recommend the resort and would go back

Moon Palace Cancun: Had a great time!!

Let's start with the beach. There was a lot of seating especially at The Grand section. The beach sand was white and very fine. The water was good, some seaweed and sea shells in the water. The weather was a bit chilly and overcast the week we were there. The beach was pretty empty and the only busy pools were the ones at the grand tgat were heated. I stayed in nizuc section but went to the grand section every other day. You have to pay about 30 dollars US to go. The activities were [... read more] plentiful and there was always something to do. Volleyball, biking, ping pong, Flowrider, etc. Staff was fairly friendly and food was pretty good. They ask about allergies but it's hard to find a staff member who knows the ingredients in a recipe. I'd be super happy if there were an ingredient card! Great time overall.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: The Best Resort!

The resort is very large and amazing! Service was great and food was exceptional! Staff are great and I would definitely return to The Grand again. Only disappointment were the water slides that were closed. This was one of the main reasons we came to the resort.

Thanks to the excellent recommendation of Marnie Savic we booked in here for our 40th anniversary with some friends. We were not disappointed! We consider ourselves well travelled especially in the Caribbean and Central America areas and we have to say this is the best resort we have ever stayed at! Moon Palace Cancun: The Grand is aptly named

This was our first vacation at an all-inclusive resort. We stayed at The Grand at Moon Palace. Check-in was easy and fast and the room was fantastic! Everything looks brand new (due to the fact that it is). Amenities and service was super! We met Nestor at the buffet the first day and he became our Buffet Buddy because he was so darn sweet and welcoming. The biggest bummer was that the waterslides weren't open.
