Sandals Barbados: Sandals - Barbados

I was pleasantly surprised with the resort. I thought that staying at Sandals Barbados vs Sandals Royale there would be a significant difference, but it was seamless. No difference at all. The room was great, clean with an attentive housekeeping staff. The grounds are beautiful. The one thing that was very annoying was the having to reserve at 5-6 of the better restaurants - and yet, there always seemed to be empty table when you walked by in the evening. As a large group (wedding) everything went off superbly.

Overall a great stay. This was our first stay with Sandals and our first visit to Barbados. Immediately we felt comfortable and safe due to the sincerity and friendliness of all locals we encountered from start to finish. We are avid travelers, admittedly a more Boutique Hotel experience is our thing, but the overwhelming majority of the Sandals employees proved that bigger hotels can be made too feel small. Sandals Barbados: Great time!

Amazing restaurants and beautiful grounds. Lots of pools to hang out in. The beach and sand are gorgeous. We had so much fun hanging out with our friends. Butch's is a fan favourite, and I highly recommend the Hibachi restaurant. Service is a little slow so you have to get on island time and go with the flow.

Very clean and staff was very accommodating. Food was excellent. Rooms were very clean. The grounds where kept clean. Very relaxing time. Lots of activities to do right at the resort. Beaches were very clean.

Sandals Barbados: Amazing time!

The resort was awesome. We took lots of advantage of the rooftop pool and the food was incredible. Best resort I’ve ever been to, hands down. Staff was also unbelievably friendly - every single person was amazing. I was so impressed with how fun the week was, and how fun the wedding was, that I’m seriously considering doing my wedding as a destination wedding as well.

Sandals South Coast: Loved Everything about it!!!

We had a great relaxing vacation. There was a quieter pool that we spent most of our time at. Did not have to make reservations for Dinner. Food was great. The staff was very accommodating with any needs we had for the room or at the restaurants. I really liked how there was a restaurant for breakfast not just the buffet restaurant. Sandals Grande St Lucian: A little dissapointed

This experience is over-priced. I think you should get a lot more benefits for what you pay. I think tipping should be allowed in order to have better service. Service staff was often rude, would forget our drinks and would only provide good service if you complained. It seemed like everyone was expecting you to complain in order to get good service. The entertainment staff was practically non-existent. We would try to go to all of the shows but they were vastly disappointing, there was no area  [... read more]setup with chairs in order to enjoy the entertainment, you were left to moving large arm-chairs in the lobby in order to get a glimpse of the show (no stage setup). Day-time entertainment was non-existent, we checked the entertainment office where we were supposed to have access to board games 3 times and it was always closed. Front desk staff said it was open, and it wasn't. Biggest issue was all of the inconsistencies, things occurring at various times different from what is listed, no one announcing what is happening and where. Lack of smiles and hellos from staff across the board. The food was good but not exceptional, we were shamed by the staff when we were unhappy with the rushed meal at Kimonos and then went for sushi because the first meal was not satisfying. We often left the restaurants before our plates were cleared because they took so long to clear them.

People are very friendly & out there to please you. Very clean resort Nice pools Nice & clean beaches Catamaran were in good shape & feel safe as the seadoo was ready to help you if needed. food & beverage were excellent

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Amazing unique resort!!!

We traveled to all sandals in St Lucia, we found La Toc was the best for us. The views and grounds out matched both other resorts. The Butler service is highly recommended, makes your stay more enjoyable and relaxing. We are planning another stay at La Toc.

Sandals Grande Antigua: Great Beach! no seaweed and the sand was very soft.

My wife and i have just returned from this resort and had a wonderful time. The resort was beautiful and the beach was amazing. The food was good but lacked the options that the Sandals in Barbados offered. All in all it definitely is a 5 star resort and the Staff were incredible.

Sandals South Coast: Beautiful beach

Firstly I astonished the big shoreline beach at this private resort. The one thing not to joy is there not too many choices for the buffet on Lunch. It is not a variety of meats, vegetables, and fruits at lunch buffet.

Sandals Grenada: A great resort on a beautiful Island!

The hotel was great and bonus points that it was a quick ride from the airport! The staff were super helpful and genuinely good people that were always checking on us to see if our stay was going well! The food and the restaurants are incredible! The Soy restaurant had some of the best Sushi we’ve ever had! The views of the island from the resort are breathtaking along with the sunsets and the hotel nightly entertainment was incredible! The resort is best suited to honeymoon type vacations or [... read more] older retiree vacations. The resort did feel a little overpriced for the experience! It is also a smaller resort than some of the others we’ve been to.

Sandals Royal Barbados: Best Honeymoon Ever!

This was such a stunning Resort! Very clean and everyone speaks English and are very helpful! My hubby and me had a swim-up room and it was stunning our swim up room only had sun in the morning but that’s okay because there are so many pools to hangout at! I personally loved the roof top! You get more sun and the water is a little cooler! The food was amazing and we didn’t get sick at all!

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Exotic Resort

Staff and locals are such nice , we went a Sandal’s Grande for a great day , the diving is amazing , Once again the staff is great , we got back to airport by Helicopter with a perfect woman pilot Nice vacation , Sylvain and Anick B.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Amazing trip!

My partner and I really enjoyed our trip in August 2019. The food was excellent, the grounds were stunning (albeit hilly- not for those who won't like to walk a bit), the beach was crystal clear and expansive, the service was great (though the constant up sells got old very fast) and our room was nicely updated with an ocean view even though we thought it was going to just be a garden view. Sandals South Coast: Got sick 2nd day!

My husband and I were incredibly excited in advance of this trip, and decided to splurge a bit to opt for the luxury of this Sandals resort that we had heard so much about. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy it at all. On our 2nd day at the resort, we both got very sick and spent the majority of our time in bed and in the nurses office. We believe it might have been our lunch that wracked havoc on our digestive systems. The manager Kimberley did bring us dry crackers and approved one e [... read more]vening of room service for us, which we greatly appreciated as we were unable to get out of bed, and the medical staff were so amazing in checking in on us and making sure we were staying up on our meds and fluids. There was also one thing that I did not appreciate on the day we arrived. As part of the check in process, they put a hold on your credit card of anywhere from $300-400 USD for “other expenses.” It is not mandatory, however the front desk staff do make it seem so, which did not sit well with me at all once I was informed of the optional nature of this hold. Unused funds are supposed to be refunded within 10-15 business days, however I do believe that I will lose money with the currency exchange. I can submit an update once I receive my refund. Aside from the sickness, the pros if the resort were: -lovely and pleasant staff -clean rooms -lots of dining options -clean beach -lots of beach chairs and no need to rush to save them -excellent medical staff! Special mention to Nurse Tisha, Nurse Brown, and Dr. Lawrence Cons: -the food options are not great for vegetarians at all Sickness withstanding, I am not sure that I would go back to this Sandals South Coast as I did not feel like it lived up to the luxury and romance that they sell in their marketing campaigns. Considering the premium paid for the Sandals experience, I personally did not feel that I received my money’s worth. The basics of a clean room and clean beach are things that I can get at other adults-only resorts. The main buffet was nothing exceptional, and the food options were very limited for vegetarians (although the chefs did try their best). My husband and I were very excited to go to the “authentic” Caribbean restaurant as after being sick for days, we were craving familiar food (our background is also Caribbean) and we were told that Elinor’s is the place to go however they served a bland, watered-down version of Caribbean food that left us very unsatisfied. Jasmine’s was the only restaurant that we enjoyed for their take on Asian food. Giuseppe’s was the Italian restaurant and there were a few more that we did not go to because of the lack of veg options and also because we ran out of time to try them all. In short, I did not see what set Sandals apart from their adults-only resorts, however I would be open to giving them another shot but maybe on a different island.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Not as advertised

Sandal's perfected the advertising and deceiving industry. They sell their resort as the most luxurious vacation that one will ever have. In all honesty that could be not more farther from the truth!! The resort is very outdated thou in my rating I didn't considered it. That didn't bothered me nor the very fact that climbing in the bed requires some acrobatic skills! I am 5.5" tall and getting in the bed was challenging every single time. It took about an hour to get the room that was paid for. I've always wanted to try Sandal's and at our 30th anniversary we decided to book it. We wanted a vacation to remember. Well it happen but for all the wrong reasons. I have had the opportunity to visit different islands in the Caribbean and I can testify that any other resorts you can get luxury for much less money than here. Here they use the cheapest raw materials that can be purchased on the market and they serve it in very small portions. If you ask for chicken your portion is 2 drumsticks of the size of chicken wings and be happy. If you try to get more that always ends in an argument because there no way that they will honour your request! All the orders are mostly hit and miss. The resort has no mineral water, nor a canned club soda! The alcoholic beverages are questionable. I never saw anybody open a seal on a bottle (except on sparkling wine). When you go to eat you have to give your room number. I found this to be a try to intimidate you so one would not complain. If that doesn't work they send in the managers who try to smooth things over. I found this to be degrading because my intelligence was insulted.They are smiling as long as you don't want anything from them. If you have a question or complain they make you feel small and stupid. One example of this: one morning I went to the wending machine to get my latte. There is no freshly brewed coffee on the resort you have to help yourself at the machine. So I started the procedure. The machine could not finish my order because there was no milk. I saw an employee and asked for his help. He came there and explained to me how the machine works. I've asked him to demonstrate it. Well he had no more success than I did. Even than I could not get an 'I am sorry'. Somehow he got into the clear while I ended up being in red. I've got so much lecturing in those 5 days that I don't even want to remember. They are doing it wrong, it's their fault and still they make you feel stupid and they lecture you all the way. Every single interaction for food or drink was a challenge! On our anniversary at dinner we asked for a bucket with ice and a bottle of sparking wine. After about 2 minutes the server comes back asking what kind of wine we want?! I am very sorry that I booked this vacation. I've spent a lots of money and got not much except bad memories I would never return here nor visit any other Sandal's resorts. My dear fellow travelers do your home work and try other resorts where you will get value for your money. I feel ashamed that I've let the commercial of a dream vacation fog my judgment and not investigate the place before I booked it. Hope my review will help others not to make the same mistake that I did.

Sandals South Coast: Would Recommend to Friends - Sandals South Coast (Bring water shoes)

Our trip to Sandals South Coast was Aug.12 - everything was inline with our expectations of a 5 star resort having booked a penthouse club level room. Lacking room service and in-room stocked bar (full bottles vodka, wine, sparking, red, white) everyday would have been a big hit on opinion though and would prob. go elsewhere for he $$ if not booking club (minor price difference). 99% of staff where extremely friendly and a pleasure to deal with - we found them to be extremely friendly, and tal [... read more]ented (entertainment staff are very talented, energetic and we hope resort takes care of them very well). Probably best overall experience from staff perspective we have had from ~15 trips so far. Food options are amazing, facilities and scenery/grounds are amazing (all A+ though the serving time and staff attention at Elaenors - aside from the "head waiter" - was very lacking ...really only complaint out of the whole trip). Definitely a couples/wedding resort as anyone looking for nightlife after 10 pm or so will be out of luck as that side of things dies down soon after (martini bar, DJ party etc. run but can be pretty empty pretty fast). Water shoes for the ocean are a must... few actually go into the water for any appreciable time without. Lots of sea weed, and definitely sea urchins (tend to be in see weed). 75% of water tends to be patches of sea weed but looking around you can usually find a clear area to relax in. Water was not choppy and warm... beautiful scenary but definitely not varadero/negril/siesta key sand/water clarity (this is not your place if pristine beach conditions is a must). Main pool was very clear water, well kept - great and entertaining bar staff all around. French village definitely has "party pool", Dutch village is quiet pool and NOT having in-pool bar (but rather aside) was a bit surprising to find poorest water quality (definitely cloudy and needing lots of treatment in morning). Favorite spot was at the bar on walkout in ocean that has nets all around perimeter - spent several nights watching distant lightning and stingrays float by sitting on the nets a foot or two over the water. Ride to resort per other posts can definitely cause motion sickness... continuous winding roads and lots of starts/stops. Very scenic - drivers differ in style and would suggest asking the more aggressive types to take it easy (our initial driver held 90-100km full route passing everything vs. a much more casual return to airport driver)..... continuously winding/twisting roads are a constant, but the scenary wouldn't be what it is if the roads were straight! Ya mon!

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Great Staff!

First time at a Sandals resort but not the first time in the Bahamas. Resort was clean, well kept and the view was spectacular! Water and beaches were perfect. What made the trip memorable was the staff very friendly, attentive without being annoying. Rented a cabana one day to get out of the sun it was very hot!
