We have stayed here three years in a row. This time for one month. We like the people who work there and the people who stay there and we feel like family. The weather is always amazing and so is the ocean and the view of the Sierra Escambray mountains.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Amazing place

Outstanding location, beautiful ocean view! Free shuttle bus service to Cienfuegos city everyday. we can relax in resort or take a walk in the city also. The resort provides a wonderful Trinidad tour, just CUC 25 per person. We can walk around the resort and understand Cuban country life.

Hotel Rancho Luna: It’s a good place if the price is in the 500 range

The food is about a 6 out of ten . The beach not good lots of sand fleas . . I have talked to people that had bed bugs in rooms . Have been there about ten trips . If it’s between 500 and 550 dollars it’s good no more . Always lots of Canadians. Remember it’s Cuba so lots of young women with older guys normal for Cuba

Hotel Rancho Luna: BEST RESORT FOR BEST MONEY!

Rancho Luna is the best deal, not only in Cuba, but the whole Carbeen! The rooms are simple, but clean, washed and cleaned daily. The beach is safe, both from being bothered and safe for swimming. I have been going for20 years and have never been had any kind of problem. A friendly place, with friendly people. The food us good and always a fine choice. Hotel Rancho Luna: Great resort-worth money

Clean rooms-well looked after services-access to long beach-our time - Jan 2018 end to Feb 1st week- Had plenty of sunshine and was able to enjoy the calm sea-some light winds. The food was good as usual but still needs some different variety -as usual this is hard to be found in Cuba. The resort had friendly atmosphere as more Adults and few kids .

Hotel Rancho Luna: Good Value!

The staff are friendly and good service at the restaurant and rooms. Everything is clean. The resort is old but has a nice landscaping for 3 star that they said. It was nice that we were far from other resorts in the area and surrounded by farms. Beach is nice. Gym is a joke. They offered massage on the beach that I make sure not to miss next time. Nice pool and I enjoyed the entertainment programs specially sailing. staff at the front counter were not helpful but overall good value for the fee.

Club Amigo Costa Sur: Quiet bit of heaven

Bungalos were well maintained and lovely right at natural ocean pool. Short walk for meals at dining room, or grill. Food was healthy, lots of veggies fruit, cheeses etc. Fresh breadsfish, chicken etc. Staff was polite and pleasant to deal with. Grounds were clean. Massauge on beach great price and value.

Club Amigo Costa Sur: Comfortable, Friendly

This is a smaller resort which is just what we like. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms clean and comfortable. No power outages the week we were there. The beach is smaller than most and is has some rocky areas, but the oceanview from the bungalows is beautiful. It was very easy to get a taxi into Trinidad. Some of the staff have very good english so it was easy to get answers to our inquiries. The others are trying hard to learn english and are very friendly. I

Hotel Rancho Luna: Dated resort needing some upgrades

Just returned from a one week stay at Hotel Rancho Luna. Our objective was met. We wanted sun, warm days, nice pool and beach and got all of those requests. The resort is tired. It needs some fresh decorating. The staff works hard to maintain the property and it is clean and well kept. The rooms are small. Maid service is ok. Food is cold. Meat is prepared on a griddle that could be alittle hotter. But if you like cold Brussel sprouts, cold cabbage and cold mashed potatoes well this is your plac [... read more]e. It was a disappointment for sure. But the biggest disappointment was the number of men who were accompanied by Chikaes or Prostitutes that were there for the week. I guess you could call it rent a date but for this being advertised as a family resort I would think twice about taking my children. The front desk seems to be unaffected by the activity that goes on and seem to dismiss any problems. We met some really great people from Ontario. I wish the circumstances were different as we might consider going back to this resort because of these great people but probably won't happen. This resort is inundated by French Canadians from Quebec most of who are rude, obnoxious, arrogant and loud and feel like they are the privileged few. For that reason and the other reasons I stated this will not be a resort that is will revisit.

Beautiful location, rocky beach! Food typical of Cuba. I like to walk on a sandy beach & swim on the sandy ocean, was unable to do this at this hotel. People nice if tipped. Came with 4 others upon checking into hotel, my friends were given keys to their hotel room, but I had to wait in lobby for 2 hours to get mine. This was untrue, because my friend was able to switch bungalows while I was waiting in the lobby. My luggage us still outdoors for fear of bringing some of the large tropical cockroaches & black spiders in my home.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Awesome vacation

This property offers exceptional value, and the staff are awesome! I recommend though that you do NOT travel with Cubana airlines. Their service is the worst, and they are ALWAYS suffering delays due to mechanical issues.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Love the grounds!!!

This was my first time here, just loved the grounds with beautiful plants.Also layout of the room.it was fun to see the horses in the field.and hens walking around near the beach bar. The maid service was great. And staff were cordial. The down side I'm sure was not fault of hotel.but by mother nature. Not a great variety of fruit.and.what I ate was not ripe. This is my 8th time to Cuba.but 1st time in January. I would not come back in January.but probably would return.

Hotel Rancho Luna: first time visit

well much to my surprise the hotel was clean and comfortable. whereas its the little things that were missing like a greeting cocktail porters for our bags but due to a very late they did offer sandwiches at the snack bar rooms were decent hot water was hot wheelchair accessible was great to see all around the site overall it was a pleasance stay

WoW i was really surprised .For me i stayed there a year ago .It was not to bad.But this time i had a great trip one of the best i have ever had.Great room looked like a post card when i opened the curtains. what a view..People were super friendly could talk to anyone.the staff all ways had a smile and very helpful. The food was great i was never hungry lots of great things to eat at every meal .Had the best roast pork and gravy i have ever had. Hotel Rancho Luna: Great resort

I loved the layout of Rancho Luna. Having the beach right there was a bonus! The restaurant was amazing for choices of food. The cleaning staff helped us everyday making our stay enjoyable coming into the room with the bed made and a clean room. All the workers are so friendly and helpful! Having a hard time walking it was very accessible for me! Also Louisa went out of her way to retrieve my lost luggage at the airport.

Hotel Rancho Luna: You get what you pay for

The hotel is very clean. The staff ensure that the beach, restaurant, lobby, pool is very clean. The rooms are older but effort is made to try and make them comfortable. The food is the same all week with little variation on meat choices. Bring your own sauces, pepper, peanut butter etc... as their only spice is salt. My issues were that there were many times that I did not have warm water and the lack of assortment of food. I was also disappointed with the amount of older people hooking up with the very young Cuban women and bringing them to the resort

Club Amigo Costa Sur: Beautiful Location, wonderful friendly staff.

Costa Sur is a lovely resort, very quiet and the food was good on Cuban standards i.e. a little bland but fresh and varied. The rooms were clean, and possibly because we had a bungalow, quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Internet access is available in the lobby, with the purchase of a card, though, as everywhere in Cuba, slow. Only a couple of 'issues'; sometimes the hot water took a little time to start up and there was the occasional power outage usually only lasting a few  [... read more]minutes. We also came at the end of the rainy season so there were some mosquitoes. The setting couldn't be more perfect, only a short ride to Trinidad, a very lively and beautiful city, and close to Topes de Collantes natural area in the mountains (be careful which nature hike you choose as some actually require a fair amount of fitness). You didn't need to leave the resort though to have a great experience, with daily salsa lessons and evening entertainment (thanks Daniel and team!) and beautiful clean beach. They also have a wonderful natural 'pool' created by an arc of coral that was shallow enough and protected from the big waves, perfect for children and non/weak swimmers, and beginner snorkelers. Sunsets are spectacular!

Hotel Rancho Luna: Good resort! :)

The hotel is good kept clean....hotel staff are awesome....i have a few that made the stay feel more like home then a hotel....my pizza / french fry guy who always came through for us at night...George our dining hall waiter he always had our table and drinks waiting for us! My favourite bar tender Nelson he made really good coffee!!! Special thanks to our chamber maid and Luis the poom guy who is family !!!
