Perfect getaway

Resort was clean. Rooms were big staff were lovely. Food was excellent,would definitely recommend the right resorts to everyone. Lots of loungers never struggled to find a great place to sit. Animation crew were fabulous.

Kids, kids and more kids

Arrived at this resort at noon on a Saturday, the 1st week in September and by 2pm when we went to get our room assignment we had had enough. Too many children yelling, screaming, jumping and splashing in all of the pools. Could not get near the buffet table for lunch without a child or adult elbowing there way along. The food was not that great anyway. Very noisy. This is a club hotel so we found out later. We were able to upgrade to a nearby resort on Monday and so happy we did. Listed at a 4*+ resort but only in their dreams. 3* at best POSITIVES: Great place for families if you don't like to eat much.

Great resort

When we first got to the resort we though "wow those negative reviews were so wrong". Overall, our stay was good. The food was initially great but got very repetitive by the end of it. The restaurants were nothing special as most of the food there were also available in the main buffet. Everything was super cheesy/fatty so expect to gain a few pounds! The quality of the meat is not the greatest, so I recommend sticking with seafood. The service was great as all the workers are super friendly but [... read more] everyone wants to make their side money (selling stuff on the side, etc) The beach was ok but there was a lot of seaweed (possibly due to the season). We paid extra and upgraded our room, which is worth it! No issues with ants or bugs in the upgraded rooms and they were very clean. Overall, this resort is definitely worth what you pay for. I'm a little picky and would probably not go again, would like to try Macao or the Palace one day.

Wonderful Vacation!!!

The very first trip South we did my husband and I was at this resort 9 years ago. It was a dream come true and it's still as marvelous as it was then. When we went in Feb of 2013 again, we knew that we were going to be in good hands. We like the Riu chain. All of our expectations were delivered. The grounds are amazing, the room was very comfortable, the food was always great, at the buffet and at the restaurants. The sand is like white flour and the water is always clean and beautiful. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. I would go back in a heart beat.

This was truly an amazing resort!!!!!!

Had an amazing first time trip to the Dominican Republic! The Resort, facilities and food were amazing. The staff were all very friendly. Had a great time and will return again! We got an amazing price from Trip Central as well!

Great Resort

Overall the resort was fantastic. Hotel entertainment team was amazing. There were multiple activities going on at once and they did a great job trying to include everyone. The location and beach was great! The beach was huge, you could always find a spot no matter what time you went down to the water. Food was good with lots of selection. Only down fall were the rooms. However it didn't bother me too much as I was never in it. Only used it to sleep. With the hotel and te people I met I had a great vacation at Bambu and I would recommended to others who are thinking of booking here.
