Excellent Service

Dear Beth: Thank you for your extraordinary dedication in helping us choose this resort. The service was superb. Staff went the extra length to accommodate our needs (especially as we were travelling with 6 young children). Every exception to accommodate our needs were highly met with the kindest understanding and most pleasant & courteous dispositions. The activities were well directed. We couldn't have enjoyed the facilities more. Congratulations,

Sirenis Cocotal - Average

The overall condition was average. The food was ok and the rooms were decent. There was an issue with street cats running around the restaurant which was a concern. The staff was ok. The cleaners did not change anything without any money.

Leaking twice in 3 hours

The hotel dead nice but the room we stayed had problem with the AC. The whole floor was water leaking from the AC. It happened twice in 4 hours and we had to CANCEL all activities with our friends and families. We came as a group of 10. We were offered for a room change but not even close to my senior parents and friends.

Great resort!

Beach area is really nice - not overly busy, usually not a problem getting chairs. Needs to be cleaned better at the end of the day - chairs are still covered in sand in the morning and dirty dishes are still at the cabanas. Pool area was spread out enough that you could pick either a busy or quiet spot. The water park is a great addition for families.

Very nice resort.

I was pleasantly surprised by this resort.We paid less than usual but the resort was well worth the money.Food was great and resort was clean and well kept.Beach was great and not crowded.Staff as very friendly and helpful.Rooms were clean and maid service was good.

Great vacation

This resort was very nice. The grounds were beautiful. Beach great. Pools were very nice although we spent most of our time at the beach. Very clean, food was good, staff friendly. The rooms were okay, they are showing their age but they have already started renovating some of them. Overall very nice place.

Amazing Vacation!

Hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept! Beach is AMAZING no complaints. Staff are excellent and very helpful if you had questions. Drinks, pools and disco were great. Food was okay - I didn't eat the meat but there were tons of other options every day. Japanese A La carte was the best, we ate there 4 times in the week! Would go back again for sure.

Worst vacation in 20 years

The only good thing was the food.hotel was way to big in the middle of nowhere,staff not friendly,98 percent of the staff never spoke English,[I know i'm in another country but staff should be able to speak some English knowing 90 percent on vacation speak English] rooms outdated,they let time share people try to sell to you on the resort,I've been going on vacation for 20 years and I'm not very hard to please and never write a review but had to on this one.I truly think I wasted my money and ti [... read more]me.

Great Resort, Beach, Vacation

The beach here is awesome. Long white beach, Palm trees almost to the water. Lots of chairs and Shade-huts. Workers are always very accommodating and smiling. Food was great always something for someone. Love the Mexican Al le Carte.

Great resort lots to do

We had a great time the beach is asome the entertainment crew was great lots to eat room was clean shows were all very good wouldn't think twice about going back Air Transat was a great help thanks tripcretral for everything

Great time at Sirenis

Just returned from 10 days. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Advised they are starting to close parts within the month and doing a major renovation. Eventually will become a Grand Sirenis similar to the Grand Sirenis in Mayan Riviera, Mexico. Grounds were beautiful, beach awesome. Plenty of chairs for everyone. Didn't have to go out early in morning to secure chairs. Stayed in the Tropical side which we were advised is the first area that will be closed.

Beautifully kept resort and amazing people!

Sirenis was an amazing experience. The resort is clean and well kept. The food was adequate and the beach and pools are beautiful. The only downfalls of this trip were the rude bartender who ignored me once I refused his proposal; as well as upon checkout I used my VISA (in the hotel lobby at reception) - only to be notified the next day (at home) that my VISA had been compromised. Too bad as this was a nice resort.

Uneven

The beaches were wonderful as were the activities and the food. I was disappointed with the disrepair of the room. The sink was squirting water so we needed a towel on the floor. The bath was in poor condition. The room felt like it needed to be renovated. The safe required a key instead of a combination.

Great trip!

Lovely resort with friendly staff and excellent service. The grounds were especiall well maintained, beautiful beach and good size pools with plenty of lounge chairs. The food was also very good and a la carte restaurants were well worth it!

Good middle of the line resort

I was happy that there always seemed to be sufficient lounge chairs available. The whole resort was clean and pleasant. The food could be a bit better, at times the selection was a bit limited. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Good for kids. Couples, not so much...

This hotel is dated and the rooms are due to be renovated. Which is just as well as the room we received was terrible. Dirty grout etc. We travelled as three friends and had booked one room with three beds. They initially gave us a horrible room with a two beds and a cot. It took a lot of arguing at reception and showing of other rooms before we got one of the renovated ones, which turned out to be a good room. Food was ok. Some nice dishes, some not so good, I have never seen so many ways to r [... read more]e-purpose a hot dog... the next day, the day after... Pools were good, if dated. Lobby bar was good, staff here were very good. Beach was excellent. This resort is not on the main Punta Cana beach, but the beach was beautiful. Shows and entertainment were very good. Resort had a small water park which was actually quite impressive for a hotel, but hardly used. Like it never quite worked as an attraction. Short walk from hotel, yes an actual walk, which might put off those who can't leave the buffets. Lots of Russians, German and Canadians. Lots of smoking. My sunglasses were stolen... If with kids, this resort would work. If a couple, look somewhere else.

Very nice resort

Old hotel, but clean, people try to do reparations. We always had a hot water in our room, the food was good, very nice shows at night - good dancers and decorations, and beach is nice too. The only thing I didn’t like its that we had to liberate our room at 12am, but at 11am they already cut our accesses and I had to go reception and make them to correct it.

Amazing time !

I would definitely recommend this resort. Lots to do (or not do if you wish). The staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, beautiful maintained beach and pools. My only recommendation is for the fridge to be better stocked - only pop and water provided, no other beverages. We were there for 2 weeks and we wanted to stay longer!

Great Resort (rooms need updating)

The resort grounds, pools and beach very nice and well maintained. Buffet food is average, some good choices on certain days, but obvious reuse the next day. The staff are generally very attentive, plenty of bar staff. The front desk were helpful. The bedrooms mostly need updating, there are some renovated rooms. We changed room after complaining and ended with a very nice room. The orginal room had many issues. The evening shows were great, after which there was either latin dancing or some oth [... read more]er entertainment. The disco was good, mixing some latin music with modern hits.

Ok

Friendly staff,understaffed at times,food was ok but certainly not 4 star 3 star at best ,,a la cartes equalled buffet ,nightly shows and entertainment was excellent , we booked cocotal got tropical neither room was any better than 2.5 star ,first room we wouldnt stay in more than first night spent few hours next day getting somewhat better .resort could be 4 star if they renovate all rooms to date standards as the resort is 50 yrs old .
