Amazing resort. Great for families!

When we arrived we were greeted by the bell boy and our luggage was taken care of. Reception was wonderful and we got rooms close together and with great views. But really the view doesn't matter because you don't spend much Tim in your room. Food was awesome and service was exceptional. Buffet was clean and had lots of selection for young and old alike. Th [... read more]e entertainment staff went above and beyond. Pools were clean and stunning and the grounds were well kept. Our room was right above the lobby so it was a little noisy but that was told to us before we chose the room and it never stopped us from sleeping. Over all we had a wonderful vacation and we will be back :)

Great resort

Well, more positives than negatives. We took the adult package (building #2 on the 7th floor) which was very beautiful, convenient, relaxing and accommodating. In the adult facilities, regular staff was amazing, watch for Jose, in the 8th floor adult lounge, Erik at the adult pool bar, Hector at the adult section lunch and dinner buffet and Alexis and Carlos at the adult breakfast buffet. The buffet was the only disappointing feature. For non themed regular buffet, the selection was not that great for lunch and dinner. Lots of stew type dishes with the very basic proteins that were a little bland and not too imaginative and unlike other resorts a noticeable lack of seafood other than the basic white fish. Themed and breakfast were good in the buffet, Italian, Mexican, salad bar and a snack station. The ala carts are the best bet, which we discovered after the second day, French (best), Italian, steakhouse, and Mexican, all were very good. The bars, other than the adult, seemed to be a little short staffed as they were trying to keep up with the orders which in turn caused some delays. Overall I would recommend this resort for couples like us or even families as it seemed that there was enough entertainment and activities for children.

Excellent service!

the resort is nice no real complaints our room was clean and fine for sleeping had a great view. We loved the service the most!! The staff goes above and beyond to meet your needs and wants! We ate at the French restaurant 3 times loved the food. We always found enough to eat and drink. We will go back. We stayed in the adult crown club!!!!

Everything is average here. The outstanding feature is there is NO shade around the 3 pools or on the beach. Whatever cover there is, does not protect from the sun. Too bad, because the breeze from the ocean is wonderful. The weather is clear, sunny and hot. Again, not comfortable under the blazing sun--unless of course you can take it.

Amazing Views

Hotel was lovely lots to do. Staff treated us very well. We spent a fair amount of time around the adult pool with Abraham he ROCKED! David who was part of the entertainment crew was a GEM! Really enjoyed Cancun felt very comfortable going on the public bus downtown to take in the sights as well as have super in one of the pubs. The musicians on the bus are so much fun! Only two suggestions the patio in back of Trafalgar has a step that is not clearly marked took a tumble. And it was frustrating [... read more] making dinner reservations.

Too much fun at Crown paradise

the resort was great - lots of things to do - good food - nice - I have no complaints- we slept to the sound of the ocean, looked at the ocean every morning - could make coffee every day the minin bar was stocked with both water and beer eveyday - I would return tommorrow

Great kid`s resort!!

Just got back from our 1 week stay at Crown Paradise and it was great! You have to realize you are going to a 4* resort and adjust your expectations, the rooms are a bit dated but very well cleaned and comfortable! The staff is very friendly and helpful and do the best they can to help, some expect to be waited on hand and foot (you need to pay much more for this service!!!). Awesome resort for kids!

This was a great resort to visit...there were 6 adults and 4 kids in our group and everyone had a great experience. The kids waterpark was great...safe, great staff, pizza was brought there around one for the kids to enjoy. The kids enjoyed zip lining, rock climbing and mini golf. All of the other pools were good, entertainment was good. The rooms could use some upgrading. The food overall was good...Wayne's Boots was our favorite restaurant.

Amazing Family Resort

We just returned home from a great week at the Crown Paradise. This is a great family resort. We travelled with our two children (9 & 5) and they were entertained for the whole week. There is so much to do at this resort. The kids club area is amazing! The pirate ship with all the water slides was great fun. The basketball courts were a big hit. My 5 yr old wasn't tall enough. We found it to be very safe. The guys running it always looked out for our safety. The kids have to have running shoes or they can't rock climb or zip line, so be sure to bring your running shoes! The big water slides by the rock climbing wall were so much fun for adults and children alike! The activity / entertainment staff were amazing! They were the ones who truly made our vacation a fun and memorable one. They work so hard each and every day , always greet you with a smile. Great entertainment for all! The games room was great too. My boys always loved to play games in the evening. They had pool tables, ping pong, table soccer, air hockey, wii, ps3 and there was even a movie theatre. The shows in the theatre in the evening were great. Very entertaining. They all did a great job to entertain both young and old The restaurants were good aswell. We enjoyed all of our meals at all the restaurants. The staff at all of them were always very pleasant and accommodating. You have to call 24 hrs in advance to book them The pools,were great, a little cool but not a big deal. It was definitely refreshing as the weather was so hot. Perhaps a bit more shaded areas along the pools would have been nice this is a great place for families that's for sure. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all and I would definitely go back again We stayed on the main floor in tower 2 which was great as it was close to the pools and across from the buffet restaurant

Awesome resort for family vacations, older building but great atmosphere, people and food! Lots for kids to do, close to downtown and amazing beach. Can't say there was much we didn't like, except maybe the insanely slow elevators...

The hotel, staff, entertainment & food were superb. One thing that really bothered me were the sales kiosks in the lobby. The constantly nagging sales people were more than annoying. Beach was great!!

Great resort for kids!!

This resort is amazing for small kids, the kids club has activities planned for them every hour on the hour. There are 4 pools, one is covered and heated so if you have a baby then it is perfect for them. They also have a baby club from 18 mths to 3.5 years old. Food is good, you can always find something to eat. The burgers at the snack bar are great and they have a Japanese restaurant open from 12 to 4pm everyday that has fresh sushi and Japanese food. Only a 15 min drive from the airport is a [... read more] huge bonus as well when travelling with small kids. We had a room that looked onto the abandoned resort next door. Not the prettiest thing to look at but certainly did not affect our trip. Every room in the resort has ocean view. The Plus rooms have bunk beds for the kids. The staff are always cleaning and making sure the cups, plates etc are cleaned up around the pool area. Service in the restaurants are excellent. Even though this resort is all inclusive we tip the servers. These people work hard and deserve the tips. The only cons to this resort is that the main pool is a bit chilly and the bars do not open until 10:00am. We will be heading back next year.

Great place for family vacation!

This was a great place for my entire family! My 5 year old had so much fun with all the pool options and kids park. The Buffet was great, rooms were cleaned everyday, staff was friendly and service was great. Only downside were the a la carte restaurants, not super great, but will say they were ok:) The beach was amazing!!!

Exceptional service, beautiful place

The place is very clean, food is very good, all ammenties and services are great. The only negative thing is the check-in process. Administration of this hotel should put more people at the front desk when a group of travelers arrives; even identify lines would be better. Everybody gets frustrated, some are ther for checkin, check-out, have change, need something else and they are all in the same line....

Great family trip

Great time!

Stayed here for a week with a friend. Found the resort to be clean and well kept. The pools were nice (lots of kids in the main pool) but also a nice adult only pool. Beach was stunning but heavy waves at times. The food at the buffet was fine, lots of options. The food at the a la carte restaurants was excellent. Right on Cancun strip, just a short drive to the airport and lots of nearby attractions.

Good Value

We stayed at this resort in January 2014. This was ouir first stay at on the Cancun Strip but have been to the Caribbean 10 previous times. Good things about this resort is that there is lots to do for kids (we aer a family of 5) and that the quality of everything is pretty good. Decent entertainment. Accomodates a family of 5 without breaking the bank. Food was OK. Overall, generally meets 4 star expectations. Bad things - If you don't have kids, this is not the resort for you. There are kids e [... read more]verywhere. The buffet can be difficult to find a seat in the mornings when it is most busiest. The pool was very cool during our trip because it is shaded by the resort from about 4PM on each day.

Wonderful stat

This place is great, the staff is amazing, The entertainement at the pool was pleasant. We had some good laugh. The food was excellent, lots of choices. It was my first time to Mexico for my 18 years old daughter and I, and we both enjoy it. My only recommandation would be to makes sure your room is not next to a family with a baby or small children (cries during the night, and get up early.)

Wonderful resort , loved every minute !!!

My husband and my 9 year old daughter went in Febuary 2014 We enjoyed the beach , we took an excursion Hel-Ha and that was totally amazing !! Not one bad thing to say about our entire trip ! Workers at resort are very friendly as well as transportation drivers . Beach is so close to readier and sandy & beautiful the pool overlooking beach is amazing My husband also did the scuba course through the resort and he had an amazing experience !! Oh ya and unlimited free room service , worked out great cause when we were all tuckered out and chilling in room late at night my 9 yr ordered grilled cheese and fries and milk!!

Fun for the whole family

We certainly enjoyed watching the kids playing in the ocean or the many pools around the resort. My wife and I found many hours of alone time when we dropped off the kids at the kids club. We were able to enjoy the restaurants and adult pool without having to supervise our little ones. The staff at the resort were extremely courteous.
