Enjoyable vacation

Overall, this is a favourable resort. Property was well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable but missed having a fridge. Food was good. There was a wide variety at the buffet and there were hambugers, hot dogs, jerk pork and chicken etc. and snacks available right through the day. Special thanks to Kadene, Rayon and Ecumar for their great service and also the staff at Jerk Hut. Thanks also to Omar, chief executive chef, for his kind gestures. Beach was clean. There are about 3 or 4 sect [... read more]ions which are not very deep and more suitable kids but adults can certainly enjoy. However, there is a need for more huts and shades as the huts were usually reserved by guests as early as 5.00 AM daily. We had an enjoyable time and would definitely return.

Great vacation!

You get what you pay for, this is not a 5 star resort and doesn’t claim to be, we had a great time! The power was out for one day, it was over 30 degrees outside so it was a rough day not having anywheres to cool off, the staff was great, the man who works the late shift cooking at the snack bar was awesome and went above and beyond for us as well as a young man who worked at the pool bar, the rooms are a bit dated but who goes to Jamaica to spend time in the room anyways? We spent all of our  [... read more]time on the adult side which was a nice feature, also TONS of snorkeling if that’s your thing, lots of tropical fish and sting rays, not much of a beach to swim in as there’s so much coral. Our favourite restaurant was the kenko Japanese, definitely worth the $20 we also would highly reccomend the Italian, for the young people there’s a club type of bar upstairs in the lobby kinda hidden away

Nice resort

Grounds were clean. Rooms were nice. Staff is excellent. Our cleaning lady Darnette went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Shout out to all the staff for making us feel welcome on our first visit to Jamaica. A great family resort. Beach is perfect for children.

Good for families, young or old

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, A/C worked, free safe, coffee maker, iron, lots of towels. No fridge. Sea calm, shallow, clear and warm although could use more shelters for shade as people claim these early. Entertainment very good. Good selection of food: Jamaican, children, special diets, etc. Well labelled eg. gluten free, dairy. Missing Jamaican patties. Can find food at all times of the day. Great time!

My sister and I stayed at the holiday inn resort in Montego Bay. We absolutely loved it! The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We felt so welcome. I just want to thank Adriene at the front desk, Darnette our chamber maid and Tyrelle in maintainence for their outstanding professionalism. The food was very good and the nightly entertainment was outstanding. The beach area is small but comfortable. Our room was standard with two very comfortable queen beds. 3 star at most for jamaica

Smoking only permitted near lobby,cant even smoke on adult side.booked king bed checked into 2 double beds,didnt get king room till 3pm following day.most servers at resort wouldnt smile i realize it aint much fun working 6 days a week but smile at least.buffet was limited selection at best .beach was so shallow swimming was impossible.bartenders was hit or miss on service and miss was mostly what we got.only real good points were alcarte resturants.i highly recommend kenko and italian.

Great vacation!

Service was excellent as was the variety and quality of the food. WiFi worked well everywhere. Plenty of chairs on beach and at the pool. Our room #2421 was great but only got it because needed a fridge for meds. Most rooms had no fridge. The entertainment was mostly noise affecting many rooms. Many rooms near highway. Nice beach but shallow ocean not great for swimming.

Great time in Jamica !!!!!

the hotel was great and we had alacarts every night and the Japanies is great - the only complant and it's big - is no bottles of water in the room, give you a big fridge and no water, pop or beer what was the fridge for? very disappointingbut that the only thing wrong other wise it was great!

Paradise!!!

I love this resort!! They have a great variety of food. If you don't want buffet and didn't make reservations in time for the la carte there are 3 other places to eat. They always have something entertaining going on at the main stage. They have so activities for the kids and the best part is the adult only side. The swim up bar was my favorite place to be. Can’t be beat

Wonderful resort. Travelled with kids and they weren’t bored for a minute. Food, entertainment, beach, pool, rooms were all perfect. Tennis, mini golf, pedal boats, kayaks and Hobie cat were great. Snorkeling around the island was some of the best I’ve ever done. Planning next years trip already.

Fabulous Resort

The resort is absolutely as beautiful as shown in the pictures. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly - and I was with my husband who is in wheelchair! Accessible + and we had no problems getting around to everywhere. Food was great, the sun was hot and the pool was awesome. So many spots to sit in the shade or sun and the views were splendid. Took a chance on the accessibility part and had a blast! Thanks Jamaica and Holiday Inn.

Amazing Resort!

Initially I was skeptical of this resort. However it was amazing! So amazing that I'm hopefully going back the end of this month. Food and staff was great. Great for families and adults only as there is an adult side.

Holiday Inn Resort - Montego Bay, Jamaica

1. The resort is too old, over 50 years and is in dire need of renovation of the plumbing. It makes too much noise once it its flushed awakening the neighbours in the next rooms. 2. The Air Conditioning Unit is also old making a lot of noise when it restarts once the temperature rises above the set temperature. We couldn't sleep on the first night. 3. cleanliness of the resort was good and the rooms were very well kept. 4. The staff was excellent and the food was great.

One of the best

Holiday Inn Resort, Motego Bay, Jamaica is one of the best we spend our winter vacation in and we travel Caribbean from St. Lucia to Cuba and everything between. Resort was very clean, very well taken care of, people and service was excellent, room was comfortable, and food was delicious. Entertainment from morning to late night for all ages. If you are looking for good swimmers beach you are out of luck. You can still swim but not long pats. Also the “Only adults” part with own swim up bar can satisfied people looking for more “quiet” time. I will recommend this resort to all my friends as resort which deserves much more recognition. Its 5 stars across the board for me. On top Natausha Margraf from TriCentral was very helpful agent and I will use her services for my next vacation.

Great Family Resort

This resort is a good size for families - everything is very centrally located. Food and drinks were plentiful and staff managed the number of guests well being it was March Break. Beach is very shallow and you can’t really go for walks. There are a number of small beaches, but lots of reefs so you can’t swim out far, but there is good snorkeling. The pool is shallow and on the small side, but fun for the kids. The paths around the resort are also narrow and short, so if you like to take wal [... read more]ks after meals etc., this resort is not set up for that. Room was fine, but the bathroom was tight - really only one person at a time can be in it. Would definitely recommend this spot for families with children ages 2 to 12. If you want to travel as a couple, there is an adult only pool and beach. We only ate at the buffet which had lots of choice for everyone. The many snacks bars are also great. Being 10 min from the airport is a huge bonus. We would return!

Great Resort!

Fabulous beach, food was really good and the staff was top notch. Rooms were nice and clean and the beds were amazing! Nightly entertainment was pretty good too. So close to the airport which we loved as well...

Amazing

We thought hotel was wonderful people staff where so nice and friendly and helpful Rooms where clean bathroom not as big as we would like but it was clean and fresh towels every day Food was sooo good not just buffet but the other restaurants where amazing Grounds where kept very well

Love the Holiday Inn

This is a great resort for a 3-3.5 star property. People are great. Food is excellent. Rooms are nice. Beaches are great. Accessible resort. Rewards for returning customers or rewards program. Live music most nights. Superbowl Party a lot of fun.

Great trip, great resort!

We had a great time at The Holiday Inn Resort. We stayed mostly at the adult pool & beach. The service was great & the food was good. Our room was larger then expected & cleaned every day. We didn't bring our kids this time but we saw that it would a great place for them to go as well, lots of swimming & activities for the kids as well. We would recommend this resort to others.

Relaxing

The hotel was really relaxing and pleasent. The staff was helpful and cheerful. The drinks and food were good. It was kept clean. Entertainment every night. I just wish there was a nightlife at the resort. If you wanted to party, you haf to off the resort.
