Beautiful, clean resort!

Thesis resort is amazing! Not too large, only 419 rooms scattered over what 40 acres or more on rocky hillsides. Whoever engineered & constructed this resort had quite the insight building around huge boulders, hill sides & rocky terrain. Rooms exceptionally clean & spacious, staff will look after your every need & respond immediately to help. Pools so clean & relaxing, water so warm like a bathtub, ocean beaches (3) are private & have more than enough beach chairs, palapas, towels, & you never  [... read more]have to go to the nearest bar for a drink, staff walk around & take your order, continually. Buffet is delicious with so many choices, a la cartes like Mediterranean, Mexican, Steak place etc very gourmet!! The food was excellent! This resort is very well run, the best we’ve ever been to! The majority of guests were Mexican, then Canadian, a few from US. Some guests we spoke to have been there 3, 4, 5, or more times! Lots of great tours, a couple of nearby towns 10 min away that are very safe, easy to get around, no pressure. Good shows in the evenings with the young, very fit & talented staff acting & dancing in them. Lots of walking because it is so spread out, but you can always use the shuttles if you like they are at your door in less than 5 min! All in all a great place to relax!

Wonderful time away!

The Las Brisas is a home away from home! The staff were wonderful and attentive...even the waiters on the beach! The guests were mostly Canadian and Mexican. And the surroundings are lovely...the pools are beautiful, and the adults-only section was nice. The 3 lagoons (water sports; swimming; snorkelling) were amazing! We will return someday!

Great resort

Beautiful resort. Food was good, lots of choices at the buffet. The beaches were beautiful, lots of chairs available. Service on the beach was wonderful! Amazing breakfasts at the Mexican restaurant with an awesome view. The whole resort was very clean. LOVE the short bus ride from the airport! LOTS of hills to walk...could have taken shuttles but chose not to. Other than the hills.....no complaints.

Ideal resort

Warm and friendly staff. Beautiful landscape architecture, which invites many birds for travelers to view. Great area of the bay for swimming, with no fear of undertows. A restorative experience for weary travelers from northern climates.

Resort

The hotel was amazing, staff so polite and very helpful. Food was great. Wish the restrooms were closer and not so much walking as my partner had difficulty to they provided a special golf cart. They were very accommodating. The scenery was breathtaking.

Great vacation

We'll start with the weather. 14 days of warmth and sunshine - never had that before during many previous trips to other destinations. The size of Las Brisas was a little overwhelming at the beginning but we got used to that quite quickly. A lot of steps and ramps ! After a day or two of adjusting to that, our legs felt good and we actually enjoyed the exercise. The quality and variety of the food was very good. Our room was quite nice, a comfortable bed, fridge stocked with our favorite sorft drink, and cleaned promtly and properly every morning. The shows at the theater were entertaining, as were the musical groups at the main bar. All in all, a very pleasant two weeks and we would surely go there again.

Frist time to Hautulco

This was our first time and definitely will not be our last to Hautulco. The weather was perfect everyday, snorkeling right out front the beach is amazing. Las Brisas was perfect for us. We love the ocean and we could go in and swim or snorkel with no concern. There is lots of stairs and walking to get to your room. Shuttle is available if you want and very convenient. Staff is friendly but English is definitely not their first language. Sometimes was hard to translate so brush up on your Spanis [... read more]h. Food was good, always something to eat. Only draw back if you are an early riser nothing opens till 7am. Restaurants open and close at different times, not 24/7 food available or drinks. Bars do not open till 11 am which is late in my opinion and close at 5 pm at the beach area. Rooms are OK nothing fancy but clean. We stayed in a deluxe room which is downstairs on the lower level and it felt dark to me. I would strongly recommend a upper floor room. No balconies or terrace on ocean view, just vegetation. In all was one of the best vacations for sand, sun, beach and ocean. Absolutely loved it.

This is a fantastic resort

-Staff are friendly and accommodating -3 beaches available -sports beach -snorkeling beach-swimming beach all excellent -Meals were 4-5 stars with 5 a la carte restaurants -Room were great all facing the bay or ocean -Grounds were like walking through a botanical garden

Great Resort

The hotel was extremely clean. The grounds were amazing. Lots of plants, flowers and wildlife. The rooms were excellent. All the rooms were located at an elevated part of the resort. If you didn't want to walk, they had golf carts to take you to/from the rooms. The restaurants were located up/down stairs. There were no elevators. The beaches were amazing and you do get served drinks on all beaches. The wait staff were great. The food in the buffet was acceptable. There was always something [... read more] to eat.

Great things and not so great things!

We loved the resort in general as it is not your typical cookie cutter resort. All of the stair had the calf muscles screaming for a few days but by the end of the week they were fine. The beach was very clean and water temperature was warm. The rooms were clean but very dark. The lighting was task lighting at best. Room was spacious and our room 2107 overlooked the ocean. Had to climb down about 15 steps to get to it. Had a daily iguana visitor which was nice. The thing that was less than great [... read more] was the buffet restaurant. It was very hit and miss though we didn’t go hungry. Just need to have low standards. Lots of food was cool/cold with varying quality. The Mexican restaurant overlooked the bay and was a nice place for breakfast. The restaurants open late at 7:00pm for dinner which is late when you have a 4-year old with you. The Mexican restaurant opens at 6:30. The kids club didn’t look great so we never used it.

Such A Wonderful Resort!!

This hotel was all that we had expected from reading all previous great reviews. Very clean resort, we had a junior suite which was awesome. All of the Al La Cartes were awesome as was the buffet. Loved Las Brisas Huatulco. I was totally impressed by the towns recycling program. Everywhere you looked there were bins for recycling and bins for garbage. Wonderful vacation spot

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, excellent food selection, wonderful beaches, well appointed accommodation, fantastic gym and tennis courts, great entertainment. Close to airport, safe and interesting town close by. Definitely will return again.

Excellent Tongolunda Bay Resort

We really enjoyed our two weeks at Las Brisas. The highlight for us was the protected beach with the excellent snorkeling just yards from the shore and the excellent January weather. The 5 alacarte dinner restaurants and two breakfast and lunch buffets provided a variety of food choices and the service staff were excellent. The customer service staff throughout the resort were friendly and well trained. Our room was dated but very clean. The bar fridge was stocked with water, beer cok [... read more]e and pepsi. Our king sized bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was very good. Brighter lighting in the bathroom is recommended but the shower,sink, and mirrors and size are excellent. We were surprised that our deluxe room did not have a balcony to enjoy our partial water view. The resort was built on a steep slope. Walking up the numerous steps was a challenge but the shuttles are numerous and they will take you throughout this very large resort. We felt safe here as the property is gated and our room had a wall safe to protect our valuables. If you are looking for a hotel on Tangolunda Bay this one provides the best value.

Great time

We had a great time for 2 weeks at Las Brisas. Hotel was great, service good, pools and beaches were great. It seems big but nicely spread out and easy to get around. Staff was friendly. Lots to do. Nice to have private beaches and always lots of loungers.

A Natural Paradise

We have just returned from our 4th stay at Las Brisas and were thrilled with our experience once again. This is not your typical cookie cutter resort in that there is much more to enjoy than the beach and, of course, the weather which is consistently 30 C. in January. The food selection is excellent, whether enjoying the ample variety of the buffet or the a la carte restaurants of which there are 5 to choose from. The staff is very friendly and ready to assist you in any way they can. Rooms are  [... read more]very spacious and are equipped with all the essentials you would expect from toiletries to towels. But what makes this resort special is that you can enjoy snorkeling right off their beach. And if that's not your thing, there are tennis courts, pickelball courts, volleyball or just nature walks, at your disposal. The resort, though in the neighbourhood of 40 years of age, is constantly being updated. New paths and gardens have been created. WIFI is available throughout, even on the beach! The steepness of the grounds might be a turnoff for some who are not used to doing stairs (of which there are plenty). However, the resort is accessable to all by means of motorized carts which connect all essential areas of the grounds. There are many other reasons too numerous to mention which will bring us back to Las Brisas in the future.

Great Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Las Brisa in Huatulco. The Hotel is clean the staff are pleasant and the food is good. There are plenty of activities to get involved in. We had a good holiday and would go back again.

Las Brisas Huatulco, Mexico

This is or second time at Las Brisas and we will most likely go back again. What a beautiful location, gorgeous beaches and a wonderful staff. Food in the main dining room was good, plenty of choices and varied but the food at the 4 "a la carte" restaurants was simply awful. Something has to change there. The rooms were comfortable enough, basic but good enough.

Very nice destination

Upon arrival after a very long flight and minimal sleep my first impression of the resort was omg where the heck am I this is not what I seen on the website. After checking in and finding out the room I was supposed to get was not the room I received I was not impressed at all. Although nice it was not what I had paid for. The staff was very accommodating and I switched rooms the next day. The food was typical resort food and although not at all fancy it was very good. Once I walked around the resort grounds it became apparent that I had harshly judged prematurly as the grounds were very nice lots of walking which I totally loved and lots of things to keep you entertained for sure. The nightly shows were typical for the resort no different from last year in Ixtapa. Some things were a bit confusing like how much the laundry service was. I was quite surprised when I checked out and my laundry bill was almost 200.00 Canadian for two loads of laundry. The golf course I played on was very nicely laid out but if you’re an avid golfer take lots of cash cause it’s not cheap at all I paid about 225 dollars per round which I though was very pricy. And there is only one course although 2 were advertised on line. I am not a person to complain and hope that this doesn’t dampen the opportunity for a great vacation las brisias is a very nice resort and I would most certainly recommend it to anyone that likes a resort that you like to walk around and is very warm. Personally I would most definitely go back not that I know what I know I would just pack differently and not play so much golf lol. Pleasent Resort

Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was as expected Alcohol was not as I had been lead to believe Room was clean and had a great view Grounds were clean and pretty Lots to do Loved the walking and stairs, great to stay in shape Very regulated with towels in the room and on the beach Very regulated with water in your room

Nice resort

Spacious property. Great views. Staff great. Housecleaning outstanding. Challenges: was under the understanding that resort was gluten free and could accommodate my allergy to tomatoes. By third day frustrated and went to concierge. They said I should have been provided with a envelope upon arrival stating my allergies etc. No such thing was given, they kindly then provided me one which was muchly appreciated. But after that I had to have Mahi mahi fish for four days in a row as the restaur [... read more]ants weren’t able to accommodate the gluten-free and the tomatoes. Finally the last night the Mexican restaurant was outstanding and provided me a beautiful chicken dinner which was second to none and the staff Were fantastic and so understanding. As well under the impression that it had high end alcohol, specifically Grey Goose. No such thing.
