Outstanding resort!

I don't even know where to start with the Valentin Imperial Resort! It is beyond luxury, it should be rated as 5+ star! The grounds are immaculate, the staff are always cleaning, weeding the many gardens, keeping all the pools and water areas sparking clean. The rooms are very classy and modern, everything you could ever want or need is there at your finger tips. The concierge in every building is a plus! All the staff from the concierge, the bartenders, servers, restaurant workers, housekeeping [... read more] staff, EVERYONE are so so nice and friendly and appreciative of each other and the resort guests. The beaches are beautiful and clean-there is a tractor cleaning the beach of seaweed, which I didn't find there was much. The bali bed on the beach was an added bonus. The resort is large but not overwhelming large. All the restaurants and entertainment are located in the same area which is so convenient. By far the best resort we have been to-cant wait to book our next trip!

Tropical Luxury Resort *****

So beautiful. The tropical grounds at this resort was amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean and the decor is very classy. I cannot say enough good things about the entire staff at Valentin Imperial Maya. They certainly go above and beyond for all their guests. The food was really outstanding. 5 Star Resort all the way!!!

This was my 2nd time at this resort and everything was amazing! Rooms are beautiful, grounds are pristine, gourmet food with excellent presentation and the staff are very nice!!! Highly recommend!!! The beach is beautiful however they have been experiencing dead kelp being washed up on shore which is unfortunate we still swam in ocean though! Not much they can do about Mother Nature!!! Great Adults Only Resort

Beautiful hotel and ground. Beach was so beautiful. Food was great! Wonderful place to relax and unwind.I would return for sure. Plenty of options for things to do and food to eat. Absolutly wonderful holiday.

Beautiful resort with outstanding service

It was our second time returning to this fantastic resort. This is a large resort but we found the walking to be good. Probably one of the nicest pools we've been to with 2 swim up bars. There's also a quieter pool nearby and the lazy river. The service is outstanding and the staff are friendly and always eager to help in any way possible. The grounds and buildings are impeccable. The restaurants are fantastic. All the food is top notch. The only downside was the beach was not nearly as nice  [... read more]as the last time we visited. The whole area seems to be have issues with seaweed washing up which does not make it enjoyable to walk along the shoreline or get in the ocean. Of course this is totally not the resorts fault. They do try to clean it up, but it's next to impossible. Otherwise this is a resort that I would highly recommend.

Amazing resort

This resort was perfect! The food was great in all restaurants. The grounds were beautifully kept and all public areas were spotlessly clean. Beautiful rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of daily activities and entertainment

Best resort to date

This place is wonderful. At the end of the trip, we were trying to think of something that we didn't like and it was a tough challenge. The room, grounds, food, staff, all fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing as expected!

We are very satisfied with our choice for our vacation at the Valentin Imperial Maya. Room was big with comfortable bed. Food was above average with various good à la carte options. Only complaint for food may of been the lunch buffet as options were limited. Beach was amazing, wide with white sand, beautiful turquoise water. To note the water is very rough and the water conditions were very dangerous at times. If you are not at the pool or beach by 8:00 am, don’t expect to get any good seating (either under palapa or bed). Would I return, most definitely. Valentin Imperial

We just returned from the Valentin Imperial and have nothing but positive comments. The grounds were spectacular. So much greenery and was very clean. The food was excellent. We really liked the music that played throughout the grounds. We particularly like the buffet down by the beach. It was so nice to hear the waves and feel the ocean breezes. Excellent resort!

Clean and beautiful room! Delicious food! Excellent service! Responsive and thoughtful front desk! Beautiful beach and pool. Splendid romantic vacation! We both are so happy with the Valentin! It was our third visit, and we are already looking forward to our fourth visit.

This place is it - stop looking

Instead of writing a short story or worse a novel with chapters, I'm going to actually do a review: Pool - 3 of them. Main pool, lazy river pool, small pool exclusive to Transat silver members. Each pool is awesome in its own way. Main pool is loud, lazy river is quiet. Exclusive pool very quiet, can get chairs any time of day and just a 30 second walk to main pool. Guess what we did a bunch of days... Beach - the beach is large and amazing. Powder white sand. Lots of seaweed but it is cleaned [... read more] several times a day. Lots of cabanas for shade - get there early, by 7 am if you want your pick. By 7:30 if you don't care which one you get. Yes, people put a towel and leave for the majority of the day, deal with it, everyone does it, so you do it too. The water is always rough, this isn't a place you will go snorkeling, if you enjoy waves, you'll enjoy the water, we did. **Footnote for pool and beach cabanas - there are "privilege" packages which are expensive, but it gets you your own shaded bed at the beach or pool, complete with name tag so you don't have to worry about reserving early. However, the beach "privilege" cabanas are in front of a part of the beach where you can't really swim, you gotta walk a minute or two down to where you can swim. That would be irritating to me if I didn't know that before buying it. (also with privilege you get lobster at any dinner restaurant for free - $50 for everyone else)**** Rooms - we got the silver junior, huge jetted tubs in all rooms, Bluetooth speakers in ceiling, a NESPRESSO coffee machine with little coffee capsules in every room(amazing). We had a king size bed, very comfy, luxurious. Room service 24/7. Room service is not the greatest, they don't get your order right all the time, but if you want a quick burger or wings, or breakfast, it's more than decent enough. Bathroom is very nice - double sink. Private balcony is awesome and it has an area with a clothesline to dry your clothes. The turndown service is amazing in the evening. Food - the food is well done overall, better than many other resorts. Breakfast and lunch at either of the 2 buffets near the main building or by the beach. Lots of seafood and meats, cold cuts, pasta station, omelette station, meat station, a donut Wall, pastries , all kinds of oils and vinegars and spices, and salad bar is great, lots of variety. ***Sidenote - if you're doing Keto, you won't have an issue keeping it up here*** The baguettes are otherworldly. You won't tire of the food, it's awesome. There is no buffet at dinner. They have a bunch of restaurants, no reservations , just walk up to it. You may have to wait depending on how busy it is, like any restaurant in any part of the world. Italian - awesome, french - great, surf and turf - really enjoyed it, Asian - amazing and can also reserve hibachi show as well, recommended. Didn't try mexican or Indonesian. Service - it was great, everyone very attentive and wanted to make your stay as great as possible. I didn't feel the need to tip all the time to get great service. Worst part of the trip - the coffee , seriously, what's up with the coffee at the buffet or restaurants? I couldn't drink it, undrinkable. My feeling is that it is made with regular tap water and that's why it maybe has this off-putting stink and taste. Total speculation though on why the coffee is so bad.... Best part of the trip - you have to dress up, long pants, closed shoes, elegant dress at every dinner restaurant or be turned away, so you felt like you were going to a fancy place. The entertainment at night was exceptional, really really great... I'd recommend this place without reservation...

Wonderful Resort!

This place in comparison with other resorts I've visited had tremendous service, great food, great pools and a clean well maintained beach. The rooms were also top notch, although the minibar was not restocked as well as I'd hoped (it did get done, was missed twice during the week). The bars at this resort were all over the place, with some making great cocktails (especially Don Miguel) and some providing drinks that were near undrinkable (one of the pool bars, the one closest to the surf shop [... read more]).

Gorgeous resort!

The grounds were stunning, so much attention to detail. Room could use an upgrade, had a few bugs in it, back of the couch was stained, water leaked under the shower door during every shower and more counter space in the bathroom would be nice. Beach was well kept, pool is beautiful. Food was good and staff very friendly and efficient! We booked a catamaran excursion from the booth by the pool and this was disappointing. First class resort

We just returned from a ten day vacation at the Valentin Imperial Resort and we had a fabulous stay here. The pros of the resort: The resort itself is pristine and the grounds are immaculate and quite lavish.The junior suite we stayed in was spacious, very comfortable with a great shower and lots of hot water at any time of the day- for those that may be interested in this! The food at all the restaurants is amazing, We did not have meal we did not enjoy but loved the Japanese (Ginger) restaurant for their sushi ,the Italian restaurant(l'Olivio) and Mar Y Tiera for more casual dining. The breakfast buffet is crazy huge and all great tasting and quality foods available. The bars around the resort are numerous, we loved the poolside service , the Martini bar and the Plaza D'Espania bar. All these features would not really stand out without the fabulous staff.Everyone we met is smiling , happy to be working here and always available to help you. From the gardeners to wait staff to the reception area, everyone is professional, friendly, and hard working.Most speak English but if you speak Spanish as my husband does;you can have some great conversations! The cons: We found the beach disappointing, the water was too rough to go in, the sand difficult to walk on as it is deep and lots of seaweed. It is relaxing to listen to the ocean but that's about it. We did not like the coffee, it has an unpleasant taste and not drinkable! Several others we spoke to felt the same . Overall we can't wait to return to the Valentin Imperial, a real gem of a resort!

Exceeded expectations!!

Amazing pool options, beach is fantastic, proximity to airport is perfect. Large property so a little confusing at first, but you quickly learn to orient yourself. Lots of food and bar options. Staff are friendly and engaging.

Absolutely gorgeous and very well looked after!! Staff were all very friendly. Would love to return!! Lots of Entertainment Signed up for catamaran trip at the building by the pool area. That was rather poor and would not do again. Catamaran was way too small and uncomfortable. Staff were awesome tho.

Great Resort, Super Service, Terrific Food-Couldn't Find Anything Negative

This resort has got it all. It's a big resort, which we don't normally like but the layout provides areas for any type of vacation you are looking for. We decided on the privilege package which I would recommend. For the extra charge you get a lobster daily, 4 premium bottles of alcohol in your room (of your choice), no standing in long lines to reserve your a la carts, a pool/beach bed reserved in your name, the concierge takes care of any requests, etc.). The only Resort we have ever returned to and will again.

This place is too good to be true. There is a staff of 900 for a maximum number of guests of 1100, You will never be this pampered again in beautifully maintained gardens and beaches. I am a senior and can't stand loud music. Here you can avoid it completely if you want to but it is available for those who wish it. Amazing resort

Our trip to the Valentin Imperial Maya was wonderful. The resort and grounds are beautiful. Nice sandy beach. The pools are great and lots of daily activities. Evening entertainment was great ! The food is very good. The staff is very attentive to details. We celebrated our 25 th Wedding Anniversary and the staff made it very special. Antonio , our concierge in building 5 welcomed us with a smile and made sure we had all we needed.
