Outstanding Vacation

This resort checks all the boxes! It is clean, well kept and the amenities are more than adequate. The beach is simply amazing, the pool area is fantastic and there are many activities happening throughout the day and evening if you choose to participate. What sets this resort apart is its amazing staff and service in every area and department. The entertainment staff is fun and friendly, and the dining staff are very friendly and accommodating. Outstanding Resort

It was our first time travelling to Punta Cana and Now Larimar was outstanding. Only 20 minutes from the airport. The resort was well maintained, rooms were clean and the food was very good. The staff were outstanding....very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The resort was not over crowded and it was never a problem finding chairs around the pool or beach at any time of the day. The entertainment staff were outstanding. I would definitely return to Now Larimar and recommend it to others.

To Start, Now Larimar was a great resort. The staff are all incredibly hard workers. Servers always prompt and polite. Rooms very clean and modern. Food was good and the buffet was also good. Our favorite restaurant was the Japanese. We didn't make it to the French but only heard great reviews. The entertainment staff were Top notch. Kids loved them and were very hard workers. Great vacation!

The hotel itself is very nice. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. I found what made this hotel was the staff...they are truly amazing people that work here. We have travelled to Punta Cana before but we never experienced such wonderful service in a warm, welcoming way. The hotel rooms were nice and the beds were extremely comfortable with all amenities included. The only complaint would be that they were not well lit but we found this to be a problem at many restaurants as well. [... read more] We really enjoyed the preferred pools, restaurant by the beach, and separate beach area for preferred guests. The wait staff in these areas were amazing and work very hard to make sure you had your drinks filled on a regular basis. Our favorite restaurant was Mercure...the food and ambiance was amazing! I also have to mention the fabulous rotisserie chicken available everyday at the lunch buffet place that was simply outstanding! We also really enjoyed the "All You Can Eat Lobster Party" on the beach Sunday night. We had to pay extra for this but we thought it was well worth it. We never experienced anything like this and thought it was very well organized with live music, lights, the ocean, and the most amazing lobster we ever tasted! The restaurants we liked the least were Tamarindo, Carnival Buffet, and the Bluewater Grill. I thought the daily snacks provided in our room was a nice idea and gives you something to snack on before dinner. The beach area was beautiful and the staff at the hotel work very hard to keep the beach clean from seaweed. This hotel had the nicest beachfront of all the hotels in the area. We had an amazing time...thank you Trip Central and in particular Elizabeth for taking care of everything for us!

Beach, Resort and Staff - Excellent!!

Beautiful beach, modern accomodations, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful weather and good friends made this a vacation to remember. Service was awesome. Willy is the best. Now Larimar was beyond my expectations. I would return tomorrow.

Worst food

This was our first time at this resort. Although I really enjoyed many things about the resort I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'll start with mentioning the positive things I did like. Resort is truly beautiful, it's not too big and extremely clean. We paid for the upgraded package which gave us "better" food and alcohol as well as private services areas of the resort. The entertainment crew on the other hand was amazing. They had great shows every night, thank God. The pools where cold. Maybe the weather was just not on our side but I wish they had heated them somewhat. When the sun was down, if you weren't drunk you wanted to get out. For the food, the a la carte restaurant were the worst. They all tasted like they had taken the left over from the buffet and attempted at re making something that looked fancy with the food. There was NO sea food to be found anywhere. Some fish that tasted like it should have gone to the garbage but no other sea food. You were able to buy lobster but they were 25 $ per lobster, kinda pricey. Also, when we left on our last day, they had promised us a "day" room to shower and change as our flight was not till 2030 hrs. There was no day room but a public washroom with a shower that the door didn't close properly, no soap and nowhere safe to leave yourpersonal effect. I wasn't alone in there and that didn't look at all like the day room I was promised on Check in. We still had a nice time, beautiful beaches and resort but totally despapointed in the food, it really was gross.

A GREAT 10 days!!

Could not find fault...food was excellent..incredible staff. Lots of activities if you chose to participate, room was spectacular and clean, grounds immaculate, did the Reef Explorer tour...swam with sharks and rays..we'll go back!!

Great resort, tour company could have done better!

Everything about the hotel was great. Service was a little lackluster and people weren't enthusiastic until you brought out the mighty dollar to tip. The entertainment staff was always great! Beds were uncomfortable and staff seemed to be much less enthusiastic than in cuba.

Amazing resort!

For our first trip ever, this resort was the trip to remember. Staff, service, food and cleanliness were all amazing. 2 issues though. We were with 40 people, most of them got sick. Staff re time shares very annoying and pushy.

Good and not so good

The good: Excellent food and restaurant choices. Grounds and rooms are very clean. Close to the airport. The not so good: No bureau, clock, bathrobes or slippers in room. Too many facilities for Preferred guests, e.g. 2 pools, beach restaurant. Beach restaurant for regular customers is a small take-out facility with 4 picnic tables.

Excellente!!!

We had a wonderful vacation in a beautifully clean well maintained resort.The staff are very polite and customer service is excellent. The beach is absolutely beautiful . The food is well prepared with varied choices.

Awsome Resort

We stayed from January 11-18/15. Four of us went for our birthdays and our doors had ribbons and balloons on them and balloons on the bed and curtains. Nice touch. We booked the gardenview room which was nice but I didn't really like the sink outside exposed to the room. The toilet and shower were separate. We had a jacuzzi tub on the balcony.Gardenview is actually a whole separate building farther from the beach. We were fine in gardenview. No reservations required for al a carts except for the Japanese which we went to twice because it was so good! All the restaurants were good and the service was great. The French was very elegant, the American was casual....great ribs there, and the Italian was good too. Still, Spice, the Japanese was our favorite. Great show too. Food at buffets were great too. Nice selections. There are carts to take you to the main lobby if you don't feel like walking but we like to walk. It's a short walk which is nice and on the way at the bridge are turtles, fish and wildlife in the water that you can feed bits of bread to. They see you coming and look up at you. So cute! It was nice to have our own pool and bar when you wanted to get away from the main area. Much quieter. Beach was nice but had some seaweed. The water was actually warmer than the pools. Drinks served at the beach too. Main pool and area was very nice. Lively too. Games, foam parties and entertainment. Entertainment was fantastic At night. Circus show was great, and they had a 5D trailer that you could go in and it's like riding a roller coaster. The seats move....like your at Disney. Pretty cool. All in all we had a great time. Weather was 82 all week. No complaints there! Just go, relax and enjoy. Would defiantly go back.

Great trip to Now Larimar

The Now Larimar was a great experience. The grounds are immaculate, staff friendly and helpful, fun entertainment (elaborate Golden Globes party, NFL on big screens, movies, etc.), the pools are lovely, beach fantastic and the food was really good (no reservations required!). We had 3 in a room and it was fine, but there is no separate washroom. The toilet and showers are in cubes with frosted glass doors that don't close fully. There is a vacation club (similar to a timeshare), but the staff aren't as pushy as we expected based on other reviews. Overall, a great trip.

One of the BEST

We liked the size of the resort overall. (Booked in Bldg. 2) Everything was accessible within short walking distance. Service was excellent! Went with a group for a wedding - some upgraded to preferred service which gave some extras but we did not and were happy.

Amazing Trip!!

We stayed for the first time at Now Larimar Punta Cana Oct 30th - Nov 6th 2014. We had a great time from the minute we arrived till we departed. We were on a small bus so our check in was quick. We were traveling for a wedding but we also arrived on our wedding anniversary so when we arrived at our room there was a sash on the door that said "Happy Anniversary". The room was very nice but we had glass between our tub and our bed which was nice as some of our friends didn't have this an would hav [... read more]e liked a bit more privacy. It was very humid while we were there so our room got damp and without asking they put a dehumidifier in our room. The beach is amazing nice white sand and enough chairs that we didn't have to go too early to get a spot. The drink service on the beach was good. The entertainment at night was not bad but some of the shows were almost the same. The Love show was the best so funny. The food was great. We didn't eat at the buffet at night as we only ate at the restaurants. You only need a reservation for the Asian table side restaurant which was well worth it and don't miss the Italian restaurant which had an amazing atmosphere. Overall we had a great time and would go back again.

A great vacation

The grounds at Now Larimar are fabulous. It is green and lush, including the palm trees and even orchids, which all caught my eye. The bedroom was fabulous. Some people did not like the openness to the bathroom but I did not find it a problem at all - and the resort will hang a curtain if you request one. There was entertainment every night and a disco for the wild ones!!! The hotel has 5 other restaurants in addition to the buffet. There are staff available to help out at any time. All water sp [... read more]orts (kayaking, water volleyball, and sailing) are all free. There was an activity at the main pool area most of the time - great amusement. The resort has 3 nice pools. The beach is clean and has wonderful beach bar service - as do the pools. They had a pool side Bar-B-Q once during the week by the pool and a daily meal for lunch by the ocean. Make sure to have a drink of Revelo champagne. It is the best of the several that they serve and it makes a delicious mimosa!!! Unless you have money to burn, don't bother with the upgrade.

Best resort ever, amazing

Layed out very nicely, easy to get to all venues. Employees are amazing and friendly. Carlos, representing West Jet was very helpful and always available. Mabel Cordero who works at the buffett as host was very nice and friendly. Miguel Salas was an amazing waiter at the buffett, friendly and always smiling.

usually when u go to a five star resort hotel staff don't break in ur safe 7 hundred dollars went missing from one of our groups safe no money was re imbursed a up grade to a room was given big deal out or all the al cartes not one had a lobster meal but u could buy a lobster meal at all of them foe 55 dollars what a rip off
