Caribbean Paradise

We could not ask for more at this Hotel. Rooms are clean, spacious, and recently renovated. The landscaping is amazing, and well maintained. The main buffet restaurant always served a variety of very good food. The a la carte restaurants are overall good but don't expect high end food quality. Stay away from the Greek restaurant. Food was barely OK, and service was not up to standards of the rest of the resort. The Beach and pool are amazing.

Great Get-Away!

This Hotel was a wonderful choice!. This vacation being a little pricy it didn't disappoint. The people here were very accommodating, they could never do enough for you!..as for the hotel itself, the grounds were well kept, the whole resort was pretty much spotless, they were always cleaning, painting, polishing the brass fixtures......etc., always ? smiling. Food was good...we didn't do the "a la carte" restaurants, as we prefer the "buffet". We did hear that people were enjoying them, but they found it difficult to book them. Their website/ app for here needs improvement. Wifi was included, and worked rather well!. The beach is beautiful, soft sands, warm water, lots of seating with or without covering. Sadly, it is suffering increased erosion and becoming unsafe in spots, they have it marked and working on a solution. The pool was nice and quite large, kept very clean, loud at times but still fun!. YES, people still put their towels out early to have the best area. YES,,even though it is frowned apon.... We are definitely happy with our choice to stay at Bahai Principe Luxury Ambar. We recommend this resort and will return again someday!

Never lets us down.

This is our 8th trip to the Bahia Ambar in Punta Cana. We are never disappointed. The food is great, even in the buffet. Lots of food options. Great staff and activities. This is a huge resort but the trams run all the time. St the most, we waited 5 minutes for a ride.

Excellent Hotel

The Hotel was very specious with lots of well maintained gardens and landscaping. Our room had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was very clean . The restaurants were amazing with great staff and excellent food. I can’t say enough about the beaches!! We wanted a late checkout and had no problem with the request.

Excellent Resort

The accommodations were excellent. Top notch. The food was beautifully presented and delicious in all of the restaurants. The service was fabulous. The coffee bar was a real treat. The beach was wonderful. Our only complaint is that the music was too loud every where and overlapped from the pool to the restaurants. It was difficult to have a conversation and became very tiresome and annoying. Overall, beautiful place and would highly recommend.

Great experience

I had the greatest vacation staying at the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar resort. The grounds, restaurants and employees were all top notch,our every need and request was completely satisfied with nothing but huge smiles. Absolutely every person from Trolly Drivers, bathroom attendants, housekeeping staff, servers in the restaurants, buffets, beach and pool areas were so friendly and eager to make sure we were having a great time. Loved it!

Everything was perfect, people so helpful, only negative was our room had no door on the bathroom, took getting used to for sure as I was travelling with my sister. Christian the sous chef at meat was outstanding as well as Miguel at the beach!

Beautiful resort: exactly what we needed

My husband and my three adult sons stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar from Dec. 15 - 22, 2023. We stayed in the "Swim up pool" rooms and right in front of the pool. It was so nice to be able to sit outside in the morning and watch the day unfold and then to unwind at the end of the day before our dinner reservations. Good but over priced

The resort itself is beautiful but the rooms are far from 5 star standards. Food was so so but very poor service at a la carte restaurants. The entertainment was so weak. During a week, we had only one real show. The rest was only live music in lobby. Usually one person playing violin. The drinks are water and sugar. The location is not the best since it’s very far from cities and shops outside of resort. For this reason, the excursions start very early in morning (6:30 am!). It was okay

The amenities were 10/10 but the service was better at many other tropical/Caribbean places I’ve stayed. I’m not sure exactly why we had this experience since it was so highly rated but we were often ignored by hotel staff and they seemed like they didn’t want to be there.

Beautiful and amazing Resort

Loved the hotel and the whole resort. It is like being in Paradise, The mangers and staff are friendly and amazing and always willing to help. We were treated like family. We had an amazing time with family and friends. We definitely recommend the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar ❤️

Amazing Resort

Everything there was beautiful.. great entertainment and friendly staff. Easily can get around this complex with ease. The only thing that was not to our satisfaction was the set up of the washroom/ shower area.. too open with no privacy.

Beautiful

This resort is beautiful 🏝️ the grounds are so pretty, the entertainment staff was perfect… all of them had so much enthusiasm, we loved it….. Desiree and Bianca always had smiles and made sure we were never were dehydrated😁 all the à la carts were so good …. You cannot go wrong at this resort ❤️ loved it ❤️….. but must mention one beware …… the Dominican airport …. Had my luggage ram-sacked …. Keep anything of value on your carry on 😣

Very nice resort

We came back to this resort for the second time, because of all the resorts we've been to, this is our favorite. The rooms are large and clean. Nice bathroom. The workers keep the room stocked with supplies and the fridge stocked as well.

Perfect vacation

We just returned from Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar after 8 glorious days in Punta Cana. This resort recommendation from Veronica at Tripcentral was absolutely perfect. It is a great resort, super clean and luxurious. We had a great time and the weather was perfect each day. Highly recommend any of the Bahia resorts as they are well run and well designed. We felt safe and had all that we needed to have a good time. Their a la carte restaurants were really high quality. We could also access all the [... read more] a la carte restaurants at the connecting Bahia resorts and there is a shuttle service that runs all day and night to bring people all to the shared areas with each resort. It is a huge place and well organized and friendly staff. For our resort the beach is really close to the hotel rooms and lobby as compared to the others resorts that are part of the property. So beautiful and clean and well maintained. Rooms were exactly like the website photos and the cleaning staff were great. Very clean and well maintained resort. The food at the buffet was high quality, plentiful and varied. Great service all throughout. The water for the hotel for drinking and ice were all safe for guests and bottled. The tap water was not recommended to be consumed by non-DR residents as it can cause stomach problems. We had no issues. This part of Punta Cana was so beautiful and the beach was clean and well cared for. Great service for drinks on the beach. Also, Air Transat was fabulous to work with at the resort. Really helpful staff that helped to orient us when we arrived and the flights were great. We did one excursion that was really fun. We will definitely go back to another Bahia.

Lovely, quiet vacation!

We loved our stay, overall I have very little negative to say. Rooms: Bed was a little hard but room was very clean, beautiful and luxurious. Beach: Beautiful, sand was lovely. Always able to find a chair, staff helpful if you are looking for shadier spots. Staff available to serve drinks and there is a spot to grab food nearby. Watch out of beach vendors, they are pushy and if you don’t know your prices you can easily be fooled to spend more than at the shops in the village. Locati [... read more]on: Amazing, close to the airport. Right on the beach, restaurants are all close by or a quick ride away within minutes. Grounds are amazingly kept! Food: Food was always good. Steak we had was amazing, Japanese a la carte restaurant was a great show and food was lovely! 24hr room service is a blessing. Staff: all staff were polite and helpful. Nono from buffet staff was always entertaining and kind. They have a butler desk with someone around any time for questions or issues! Entertainment: This resort is a little quieter at night but honestly it was good. They had an amazing saxophone player and every night they did have something going on but I know some of the other sites may have had a little more with a larger space/theatre. I believe it is in the Grand section. Overall, anyone should definitely visit, it was worth it!

Good resort!

Very well kept. Rooms clean. Food pretty good. Wish there was better entertainment specifically at the Ambar complex and a better variety of music throughout the day st the pool and in the evenings in the lobby. Butler service was excellent. Thank you Wady!

Third Visit

We really enjoy this hotel. It’s clean and the restaurants are all fine. What is nice is that is you are there for an extended stay (us 10 days) then the resort is big enough that you can have some variety in your dining. All is all we would go back.

Very nice resort

The grounds were well kept and the staff very friendly. The poolside ladies were amazing. Rooms were kept clean. The food was overall quite good. I did have one disappointment...it seems like you cannot attend the Dominican emtertainment night without an additional fee...this woukd have equated to approx 30.00 per person, which I thought was quite steep.
