Good Times

The Riu Montego Bay is a beautiful resort with a wide variety of delicious food and drinks as well as clean well maintained rooms and buildings. The beach is a bit weedy and murky not your typical Caribbean beach. The entertainment at night was good but not a whole lot going on around the pool. To me it didn't have the Jamaican vibe that we look forward to seeing when travelling to Jamaica.

Very nice

Nice resort, good food and drinks. Nice beach, good golfing, shopping. Close to airport and malls. Service very good resort not overally big, entertainment good. 24 hr sportsbar is nice and has small casino inside it.

Very nice resort

Rooms and grounds were kept very clean. The staff was excellent ,beach was nice, 16 foot catamarans were available to take out at no charge a long with peddle boats. Scuba lessons were also available

Excellent resort

As usual Riu Resorts are the best. Food excellent well done, good variety, lots of choices. Rooms are big, very clean and well supplied with everything. Grounds are beautiful and well care for, pools are very clean. Staff very friendly and ready to help in all excellent Customer Services

Relaxing Time

Just came back from a week stay at the Rui. The hotel room was clean. The mattress was hard but I liked it that way. We had an old tube tv in the room that had a snowy picture for the whole stay. Not impressed. We did have free drinks in the room. Nice touch! The staff and service was great. The food was good. Lots of selection in the buffet and they have an Italian and Japanese restaurant which are fantastic! The beach was nice but the water had seaweed all over the place. You're near t [... read more]he airport so you do get planes over head every 5 to 10 minutes. It's loud enough that you have to stop your conversation and wait for it to pass by. The pool was fantastic! Very large. The entertainment was good but the stage was too small and if you don't get there early enough for the seating, you get stuck in the back where you can't see a thing. Over all, I did have a good time.

Fun Fun Fun

The staff make the difference at this resort! Seems with 3 Riu's side by side this is the lower ***star with a five ***** price (but all the resorts prices have increased).So everything you read is true but the Jamaican people stand above any rating system with genuine love for one people. What no beach bar?? how is this possible!! The staff run up and down the beach slugging drinks, but not the same. No room service?? New Years Eve was the way the resort should be run everyday. Management needs to spend the money if they are going to charge the guests top prices for family trips.Clean the seaweed from the beach and put in some sand.Does management care ?enough reviews have mentioned it !! Wonderful place, wonderful people!

The resort is extremely close to the airport so after a grueling day of travelling, you're only a 10 minute bus ride to paradise! Walk into a gorgeous, spacious front foyer where friendly staff are ready to assist you. (And put a drink in your hand!) All inclusive really means all inclusive here with unlimited drinks inside each room. Although all main areas have strong wifi connection, there is no wifi inside the rooms. The Riu entertainment crew and dancers are so talented I really thought I was watching The Grease musical or a Michael Jackson concert! They are always ready with activities by the pool, dance lessons and fun games. The crew really impacted my stay at Riu Montego Bay. There is so much culture and beauty in Jamaica. One of the best trips by far! Amazing staff and service, great food, and beautiful beaches!

Amazing Vacation

Although there are certain things that the resort can improve on, the week my family and I spent at Riu Montego Bay was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations I've had in a long time! This was me and my wife's 3rd trip to Jamaica and second to Montego Bay (first at the Riu). The vacation was fairly priced and definitely worth what we paid for. Fantastic time!

Overall had a great time at the resort! Staff was super helpful and friendly and the pool was always maintained well. Rooms are a bit dated, however they were very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Nice resort

clean and well maintained resort. Beds were nice, buffet was nice, pool was nice, staff were nice and the entertainment crew was good. Steak house was bad. average size resort. Nice resort but nothing over the top special about it except AMAZING FOOD.

Great trip

Overall we had a great time at the Riu Montego Bay Resort. The resort was clean, our room was clean with NO bugs. Food was pretty good, not a huge variety. Staff was nice. Entertainment was good. At the time we visited the resort they were renovating the disco, so the stage area was the temporary "disco" Beach was pretty nice, hardly any seaweed or rocks. Great resort

The hotel was nice and clean. Fairly modern, rooms weren't anything special (sheets weren't soft) Beach was really nice, locals only came by to sell stuff before 9am and after 5pm. Great selections at buffets. The three restutants were nice, but I would have prefered them to not be biffet style. Pools were well kept and offered great seating. Very close to airport, 4-5 planes flew over each day. Only issue during our stay was with an excursion we booked.

Trip to Montego Bay

Everything was great, food, entertainment, drinks. Fabulous The lobby was really amazing. A nice first sight to see Staff was great and can't say enough about the pool and the drinks and entertainment. My family and I had a great time

The worst vacation ever

There are two constructions going on; one next to the pool and one close to the beach. Noise and dust. Mosquitos and yellow ants on the beach, no service at the beach. Tiles were falling off the pool. Rooms are with old furniture, moldy and dirty. Our rooms got flooded from the toilet on the forth day of our stay, my luggage got soaked. Nobody seemed to care about any problems that occurred during our stay. Food was kept on the buffet with flies coming and going, very few items that were prepar [... read more]ed properly. Ice cream melted and ice cream scoop placed in the very dirty water that nobody cared to change. I tried to find a cup of coffee during the day ( they had instant coffee machine with sugar already mixed in it that wasn't drinkable) and when I asked for it they told me to go out of the hotel and purchase one! That is all inclusive for you! We spent more than 300 American $ in tips trying to get something better out of our stay, even that didn't help us. Last day, I called front desk to send someone to help us with our luggage ( we had 4 kids with us) and I had to call 4 times until somebody showed up. In the meantime, it started to rain very much, so we had to run with kids, finally made it to the bus, we were late and wet. I work in Hospitality industry for 20 years and I this was really poor expiriance. Was expecting much more from RIU hotels!!! The funniest part is, when I told them that this is not acceptable for the 5 star hotel ( their signs display ***** everywhere ) they told me that if I go to their web site and check, they hold only four stars. Unbelievable !

Amazing Resort

Everything was amazing, Hotel, staff, food the environment everything was great no complains. It felt like paradise honestly. I would recommend anyone who want's to go on a vacation. The people were amazing very friendly. This was was my first all inclusive and it was worth every penny. Thumbs up.

Amazing Resort Indeed

This place was like paradise, I will highly recommend this place to anyone. Also i will surely go back. The people was amazing very friendly. Always there to assist you. The food was great, the beaches, the pool and also all the fun excursion that we did was very nice. Had lots of fun, will definitely go back soon. I love this beautiful place Jamaica.

Paradise resort

Excellent hospitality from staff and fine dining , well kept room, view was excellent especially the ocean front security was excellent and friendly staff , the touring was excellent and remember to say yea man and no problem, also was very close to the airport !

AMAZING RESORT!

Amenities are par non ,Staffs are remarkable,would return for the nightly Entertainment. Had a few disapointed services to fixed but were Resolved Quickly. Last but not Least thanks for your Travel service Ms Teelah Brown.

Nice resort

This was a nice resort. Food was really good. The entertainers were engaging. The service was nice. The hotel rooms were great for me and my family, (husband and 2 young children 6&2). I wished the children's programming started at a younger age. we didn't get to the entertainment at night because it was just to late for us, kids were up early. Jerk chicken was good and such a nice treat right at the beach. This was a good place.

Staff are wonderful

The hotel was very clean the staff are nice. The food is awesome the drinks are amazing love the swim-up pool some of the excursions I like better than others the one Excursion that I would recommend is the catamaran going to Margaritaville and doing Dunn's River Falls. The only problems that we had was the refill of the refrigerator. After calling the front desk regarding the refrigerator they were in there every day.
