Club Amigo Mayanabo: Nice family resort

The resort works hard to keep up a 40 year old hotel. Great staff and ok food . They need to establish a non smoking policy in the hotel lobby. The smoking was disgusting and especially bad since we had rain and bad weather forcing all the smokers to the lobby.

J’en suis à mon sixième voyage à Cuba. Plongée en apnée sensas. Nourriture la moins variée que j’ai connu à Cuba. Chambre désuète. Superbe plage. Nous avons eu seulement une journée et demi de beau temps et le reste de la semaine à 22 degrés et des vents froids. Mais cela, on n’y peut rien et les cubains non plus!!!

Brisas Santa Lucia: Excellent resort

I went with a few friends for Christmas and New Years and we had a fabulous time. Food was really good the resort and rooms.are clean. The beach was beautiful and the staff is top notch. I definitely recommend this resort as the value is great for the money.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Simple, fun resort

This was my first time in Cuba, I joined friends on a trip over the New Years Eve time frame. I found the food to be good, the service at the bar very good. The snack bar service was rude and slow. My maid was excellent in cleaning my room. HOWEVER I came home with many bites that are from BED BUGS!! Not good. In the afternoon the entertainment started the the noise volume was far too loud! Obtaining a bicycle was difficult as the attendant was often not there. I felt safe in Cuba, the disco was supposed yo he open at 1130 but often not open at all. For a 3 1/2 star resort I would say it was good but needs improvement in the entertainment section. And now I must deal with bed bug bites.

Small resort with big fun. Daily activities with great entertainment staff from pool fun to nightly shows. Food was ok with usual rice, pasta and pizza options. Get ready to relax by the ocean or pool.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Delightful Hotel, Pool, and Beach

Our family really enjoyed staying at Club Amigo Mayanabo The arrangement of the buildings (main hotel lobby, restaurant, billiard room, the pool, the courtyard, gardens, stage and activity areas, adjoining guest rooms, walkway to beach) are well distributed. The activity and entertainment staff also speak English, French, Italian, and German (maybe other languages as well). There are a wide array of activities for children and adults alike. The entertainers and dancers who perform everyday are very talented. We stayed in the basic room- this was perfectly fine- the cleaning staff were very courteous and maintained the room. When we return we will upgrade to a suite- a little more expensive-but well worth the difference in price. We looked at one and found it to be very spacious and well equipped. The staff at the restaurant were kind and very attentive. The food was very good. The beach is very quiet....It's a perfect place to relax and read under the shade of a palm leaf umbrella. The location is very secure and our son (12) enjoyed having the freedom to walk around the complex and participate in activities on his own.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: very good for my money

we came there to kitesurf. Hotel is good, food is good, ppl are good. We had two days for 19 m kites, 2 days for 12 and one for 9. Kite rigging area is good and close to rooms. It is wide to solo lunch and land. I will go there again

Brisas Santa Lucia: Worst ever

Lets start in Toronto with Sunwing and their 5 kg carry on rule. I had one carryon for 4 people only slightly overweight and they made me separate it. Okay. Then we land in Santiago and they tell everyone they must disembark. My mother is 80 and my granddaughter is 2 and this made everything very uncomfortable. Just imagine my 80 year old mother walking down stairs and across a hot tarmac. Fine. Done we get back on and apparantly we have an extra pasenger so we get to wait another hour. Done and [... read more] away we go to Camaguay. Nice landing, everything is smooth until they lose 1/2 our luggage. Now we get to wait 2 more hours while we fill out forms and try to locate our luggage tags. Sounds great no. Good thing we left early. Now for the Brisas. I have been to over 40 resorts in Cuba from 2 star to 6 star. This place shouldnt get a 1 star. I have stayed at every resort in Santa Lucia and this place is the worst. The food got boring after the second day and it never changed. But even better on the weekends the Cubans come and many of them take storage bags of food with them. They ran out of food on Saturday afternoon and wouldnt allow anyone in the Buffet. My mothers room only had hot water every other day and she had a leak right above the toilet which she complained about many times to no avail. While i was in her room fixing the toilet that didnt work i also redirected the leak so she didnt have cold water dripping on her back. The drinks were all very ho-hum. The front desk manager was probably the rudest least people person i ever met anywhere. As everywhere else in Cuba most of the staff were amazing. I hope you all get the negativity in my review, i love Cuba and will continue to travel there but Brisas is definitely on my never ever again list.

Brisas Santa Lucia: BETTER THAN EXPECTATIONS

I have been in Cuba countless times, and Brisas Santa Lucia was the last one in my mind, but I was pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness of the whole property, the multiple services, bars , pools and lobby., close to each other.. People very friendly, food varied and acceptable, great variety of juices, coffee everywhere. Only one inconvenient, TV was snowy when we occupied the room 522 and worse when we left it, nobody seemed to be interested in fixing it . Brisas Santa Lucia: Good value for the money

We don't go to Cuba for the culinary experience but the food was reasonably good, the rooms were clean, everything worked, lots of hot pressure and good pressure. The weather wasn't so good but the beach was nice and the service was impeccable.

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Roc Santa lucia

the Hotel is excellent. but the price is a bit high. as it being a 3 star.. The food is good but need more variety from day to day. also the food dish labels shoud include if peanut or Mushrooms have been used . so guest could be aware. I was very happy with the staff who provided 4 star service. they are very friendly and always smiling.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Sunwing Crappola

Hotel was fine but Sunwing was the pits. Half the people on the plane saw their luggage sitting on the tarmac as we were leaving. They said they were overweight, but never took any of the kiteboarders gear of the plane. Some lady made the mistake of leaving her meds in her luggage including her insulin. Sunwing tried to make amends by giving them $50 cash a day until they got their bags. This is my 14th or 15th trip with Sunwing and probably my last as not one trip has gone according to plan or schedule. The staff at Brisas hotel is very good as is most of Cubas resorts . Its the same as most resorts, the better you tip the better your service.

The resort looks really nice the rooms are redone matresses very comfortable grounds are beautiful and clean food was good lack of some items but nothing dramatic.The weather was good so was the water all my family had a great time

Brisas Santa Lucia: Great Vacation

Rooms were nice, food was good, Staff were awesome. Still doing final repairs after Irma so a little construction noise in the day time. Loved the coffee shop. Shark Friends dive shop next door was a plus. Staff were well trained and dive sites were great. Did the shark dive twice.........

I think this hotel. Is good for our money good price.room very clean the only thing you need more activities for people instead of seeing them seat and be on their phone a good part of the day .but overall good resort keep the good work

Gran Club Santa Lucia: Best ever trip!

This is the best 3 star resort in Cuba we've been. Everything is excellent such as food, grounds, customer service, rooms, beach,entertainment every night! Would not hesitate to recommend this resort to our friends and would definitely come back!

Brisas Santa Lucia: Just "OK"

When they first assigned me to room #916, there was strong odor coming from the bathroom. I had to ask for another room. They moved me to 424. Much better only ants!! Food was awesome but desserts was quite different. I wanted very HOT water but they do not have that available. I would say 70% of hot water and 30% of cold water. I had to shower fast! A/C does not work great like we have here in Canada. Be advised that all bathroom have NO screen to prevent from mosquito coming in. Luckily I boug [... read more]ht screen at Canadian Tire and taped it over window for a peace of mind. 90% of staff were really friendly. Mostly at front desk were not very friendly. If you give a tip to the server, they will immediately treat you like a king/queen. I encourage you to tip them and don't be surprised how they will treat you!! They do have 4 computers but every time one or two out of 4 won't work when doing the internet! It's $1 CUC for one hour. I had to re-connect a million times. I was so frustrated!! Beach was awesome! Only unbearable heat during summer time. I should have gone during winter time. Lesson learned. On the first show, they asked for perfect body guys which turned me off. I do not appreciate them only after "perfect" body. Of course I left the show. On my departure, since my plane does not leave until 9 pm, I had an opportunity to see the city (Camaguey) It really strike my heart. Their apartments were extremely small, standard were not met like we have up here in Canada. I had a hard time finding to buy pizza! Extremely limited choice of restaurants!! In closing, I will never go to Cuba again. I rather go somewhere where it's well developed, modern and more options such as restaurants, shopping malls and etc.

Brisas Santa Lucia: Incredible Staff - Lovely Resort!

The hotel was very clean and very well maintained. The food was superb - the chefs excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entertainment was good... The atmosphere was both relaxing and fun! We will definitely travel back!
