Bungalows are amazing. Grounds are kept clean and the staff are super helpfull and happy. Hotel is going through an upgrade along with the rooms and grounds. Alot of money is being spent on improving this hotel. The wifi is great and strong

Iberostar Grand Packard: Best hotel in Cuba!

Extraordinary service from all staff and exceptional quality of facilities, rooms and food make this the best hotel experience I've had in over 15 years of travel to Cuba. The General Manager, Alejandro, Food and Beverage Managers Pedro and Sonia, and all of their associates made me feel welcomed and pampered. The breakfast buffet is the best I've experienced in years! Hotel Bella Habana: For under 600CD a week hotel it's ok.

If you want to stay in a cheap hotel, from there go out to tour Havana or visit family or friends, this hotel will serve you. Everything basic here works, the AC, the TV, the sanitary ware and there is abundant hot water. Clean room, no cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, ants or bed bugs. The beds quite comfortable. Drink water you have to buy it in the cafeteria. If you are one of those who look at the corners to point out damage you will find many.

Blau Arenal Habana Beach: Amazing Resort

Wonderful resort great food clean rooms beautiful pool. Great service lot's of hot water air conditioning system is great. Ocean is beautiful white sand palm trees. My only complaint is the resort is located too far from Havana.

Hotel Atlantico: Great resort-worth money

Hotel Atlantico -Had very good beach right in front and so easy to access anytime. The bus service to Havana always on time each morning at 10am, however for free shuttle required Reservation in advance -not one to wait didn't mind paying $5.00. Apart from same old dishes both at lunch & diners-this resort worth the price. Clean rooms, service friendly by staff

Iberostar Grand Packard: A Worthwhile View

The hotel is central of most major tourist attractions and restaurants. The best feature of the hotel is the 6th floor view from the infinity pool area which faces the El Morro castle. Sunrise from this hotel is an attraction of its own. The facility is about a year old so everything is new and pristine. The hotel is on the higher tier of cost, but worth the stay.

Hotel Plaza: Faded Glory ...

The Hotel Plaza was grand in its day (1909) but the glory has faded. From afar, like an aged lady, she still looks grand - but on close inspection, the glory has faded. If you want to experience Old Havana in its truest sense - you'll be living it here. Hotel Plaza, is in a very good location in Central Havana and that’s the best thing going for it - yet let me start by noting a few things you should be aware of before booking here - the beds were comfortable in this small room, the A/C worked [... read more] fine, there was a TV, a small fridge, a safe that didn't open up, lots of hot water that came after 5 minutes of waiting and friendly, happy staff that didn't speak English well. I tried to call the front desk on 4 occasions - the phone was never answered once. The roof top breakfast area has a fabulous few and we were happy with the food served. House keeping finally showed up on the 3rd day of our 4 day stay. The elevator had to be pried open to get in - and then the elevator door would slam shut on you if you didn't get in quick. There was no hair dryer- even though there was supposed to be one. I believe this is a government run hotel - need I say more? We loved Old Havana and the Cuban people - but some may not like it here. It sure was an adventure.

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Hotel Iberostar Parque Central, Cuba

This hotel fit the bill for us and would certainly give it a 4.5 star rating. The hotel and rooms were clean and reasonably well kept up. Very nice lounge, bar and lobby area with probably 4 or 5 good quality musical groups playing each day. Hotel has a great pool on the roof. Breakfast buffet was good by Cuban standards but lacked good selection of fresh fruit (might be due to time of year). Location (Parque Central) is great for accessing a normal taxi or 1950's era taxi. We hired one ( [... read more]1955 Chevy Belair) for four hours to tour the city. The driver gave us a fifth hour to accommodate lunch at at very good but not expensive restaurant of his choosing. This location is also at the edge of Old Havana and central Havana and so much is walk-able that we did not need to hire a cab. Both the harbour and Malacon are walkable (+/- 10 to 15 min).

Hotel Atlantico: Great value, close to Havana

Good value, food limited in variety but adequate, snack bar has good sandwiches and burgers, nice lunch available at a la carte restaurant with ocean view. Other a la carte for supper was okay. Basic drinks (no blender drinks). Good room, nice maid. Staff very appreciative of gifts as tips, as they get many local guests who may not do this. Daily activities and entertainment were average. Big plus - daily free shuttle to/from Havana, good value city tour bus from central park square in Havana  [... read more](red double decker). Common areas of hotel were being painted and light fixtures cleaned - money is being invested in this place. Havana is celebrating its 500th anniversary in November, this may be the reason. Rating: 6.5 on 10, but could increase with time. I will return.

Hotel Atlantico: Very nice beach resort, close to beautiful Havana

We spent a week at Hotel Atlantico in July 2019. This is our third time in this hotel over the last 10 years and we really like this place. It is situated right on the beach, it is small and compact, with a nice pool, a bar next to the pool, buffet restaurant, and two a la cart restaurants. The staff at the hotel is amazing, very friendly and a lot of them have been around for at least 10 years so we see familiar faces when we go. There is nightly and daily entertainment - such as Tropicana like shows, live music, bingo, other games. There is also a free bus ( luxury bus with A/C and TV) that goes to Havana once a day. The food is also good - fresh fruits, grilled fish, pork and chicken,made to order omelettes, pancakes, few types of rice and potatoes, pasta, etc. It is simple but healthy. We were there with our 4 year old boy and he also had a great time. He made some friends, he enjoyed the kids section of the pool as well as the beautiful beach. He really liked the pasta in the buffet restaurant and the hamburgers at the pool bar, and of course, the fruits. We would return again to this hotel and we recommend it to anyone who wants to spend time at a beautiful Tropical beach and be close to Havana at the same time.

Villa Bacuranao: real Cubans at their best

Hotel was almost only real cubans at their best coming for the day to celebrate a birthday or something else and some staying overnight mainly cuban national teams coming back from tournaments abroad. so we met the Softball, boxing and carate teams. Hotelstaff friendly and accomodating. Good music with DJ on the pool all day. Public beach just outside the resort - pay attention - thieves ! A40 1 CUP , great to reach Havana, never a problem.

Hotel Atlantico: Flies, flies, and rude locals!

1. Check in - super slow since there was only 1 women the front desk for check in, money exchange, phones etc. 2. Rooms - 1.5 star, at best. I had no cold water the entire week! I burned my butt off everytime I went into the shower. All the porcelain was chipping off the tub, the curtain was filthy, sink tap was set too far back, so you could barely wash your hands. The air conditioner was LOUD. There was a TV with 2 English channels. You have to pay extra for the safe. No lock on the door [... read more] or cards to hang for house keeping indicating, "do not disturb. " The room is basic but clean, aside from the dirty comforter and curtains. 3. Food- Oh God, the food! There were flies on everything! It was very disgusting. Who cares how it tastes, you wouldn't want to even try after seeing the amount of flies were there! 4. Location- that's the only thing this place has going for it, the beach! But, it's littered with locals how are rude, drunk, and obnoxious. They leave their garbage everywhere; in the water, the sand, all over the place! This was my 1st time ever seeing needs along the shoreline! What the heck is going on here!? There are a fee Cuban food stands along the road close to beach that you can try. 20 mins from Old Havana with a reservation only, free, bus ride from the hotel daily 10am drop off and 5pm pick up. In my opinion, they could do 2 drop offs, 9am and 11am with 2 pick ups 3 and 5. All in all, this is a 1.5 star trying to be more! I wouldn't go back unless my plan was to lay on the beach all day or use it as a package to fly down and stay somewhere else, since packages are cheaper than flights alone.

Nacional de Cuba: Beautiful hotel

The hotel itself has amazing history and a beautiful view of the ocean. Lots of restaurants and things to do. The interior and exterior of the hotel is gorgeous and a rare find. The pool was nice but the chlorine levels must have not been correct as the both of us got an eye infection immediately after we used the pool.

Hotel Atlantico: Good beach, friendly staff

This is my second time to the hotel Atlantico. I especially enjoy the friendly staff. The food was fine and ample, complete with live jazz during lunch and breakfast. I particularly like the location as it is only 25 minutes outside Havana with free bus service. It's likely that if l visit Cuba again, I'll stay at the hotel Atlantico.

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Vibrant, colourful Havana!!!

We loved this hotel because it was situated in the heart of Havana; allowing us to walk to all the museums, galleries, Old Havana, restaurants and cafe's. They even have a bus just across the street that takes you to Santa Maria Beach in just 20 minutes. Fantastic service, clean rooms and warm hospitality at the hotel.

Nacional de Cuba: Great history!

I went on a tour of this historic hotel and it did not disappoint. It had beautiful furnishings and fixtures. The all you can eat buffet breakfast is amazing and indeed filling. Most days it was not necessary for me to even consider eating lunch. The pool setting is nice and relaxing although shaded areas are at a premium so best to try and get a seat there early if you are not there for the sun. They are quite dated and could definitely use an upgrade. Particularly in the bathroom.

Hotel Atlantico: Not Great

Not upgraded rooms smell terrible. Water pressure really is atrocious, run out of COLD every single shower. Resort caters to locals. I traveled alone, it was hard to meet people - there were only a handful of Canadians (literally 5). No one smiles. I asked for a higher room since I was on the ground floor, and I always find it loud. Once I was moved they told me I was going to be charged 10cuc per night. Fish, pork, beans, rice and pasta all very bland, wouldn't eat the salads or bread since they were covered in flies and birds flew in as well. Breakfast was best meal of the day. Had a friend lose money out of their safe, almost $300.00 - nothing is safe. Beach is beautiful but dirty, garbage everywhere, pulled a broken beer bottle out of the water one day, people walk on the beach and just toss their garbage. No blended drinks. Don't drink the ice, it is tap water. Would not step foot in the pool, very green and slimy looking, dirty at the bottom, caters to locals. This is a motel, everything is enclosed. Entertainment is awful, they brought in dancers one night out of 7 the rest of the nights they just played youtube at the bar. Very disappointing. I have been to a 2 star in Varadero that was a 5 star compared to this.

Hotel Atlantico: Good resort

I was first time in Hotel Atlantico....my opinion is : for price what I was paid it was okay......everyday we have opportunity to have transportation to Havana for free . I will be in this hotel in the future.......

Be Live Havana City Copacabana: Good resort

Hotel definitely needs some renovation. Staff was very helpful and nice towards customer. Upon knowing us (as we took some clothes for the staff) they offered us free meal as well which was really heartouching. Washrooms need more attention especially water pressure. Hotel was clean and regular service was provided to us. All in all what we paid for ,we received it. Neither too bad nor too good

Marazul Hotel: Location is Great!

This is not a luxury hotel! We have stayed there before and knew what to expect. It is dated and minimal but we picked it for it’s location and free trips into the city. Food could be better but omelette for breakfast is good. They do have very good coffee! In fact the best coffee! This hotel is across the road from a spectacular beach! We love to visit Havana, but also like to enjoy the beach and this hotel is good for both! If you don’t expect a lot then this hotel if fine.
