Epic Week!
Great resort, good food, friendly staff. Lots of walking but we were up for it! Close to all the exciting excursions and nature parks. Fantastic on-resort snorkeling. The a la carte options were great and we had no trouble booking when and what we wanted.
Pros and Cons....more cons than pros
Something personal was removed from my room, the drink service is very slow in the lobbies and the floor is very slippery ( I saw at least one person fall every day, including myself one rainy day). The resort also needs some repair and the food in bland. The room on the main floor smelt moldy and it makes me wonder if it was ever flooded. Getting a shuttle transport around the resort is near impossible, they drive by and don't check to see if you want a ride. I got one ride my whole trip, lots [... read more]
Very large resort
The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is lots of walking and not very consistent transportation alternative. I did not get hassling by the "club" representatives, but only because I was a single traveller, others in our group did get hassled by the concierge to attend the meetings.
Grand Sirenis Resort
I have only been to one other all-inclusive resort but I found this one met my expectations. Air Transat looked after us and the staff receiving us at the resort were pleasant and efficient. The room was good enough and met my needs. Being on the 3rd floor, the rain was loud pounding on the roof and the wind whistled through the patio doors. The pools were buzzing with activity. I ate mostly in the two buffet areas and tried many different dishes. Our bride and groom seemed to be well served at [... read more]
Very beautiful, modern resort
If you enjoy walking, you'll love this resort! Widespread with miles of paths to walk. Food was really good. Bars were well stocked. Beaches and snorkelling top notch! Exceptional staff. It's a must see resort.
Wondeful Family Resort....
Spent one week in Feb 2016 with our children and grandchildren, had a fun filled time. Lots to do, Pools, Dolphin show on the Resort every morning, Lazy River was a big hit with both young and old. Beach is a little stoney but has a natural beauty. Rooms lovely, very spacious, modern bathroom. Each Room block has their own concierge which was a nice to have, Isaac was ours and he was so helpful to our family. Staff in general extremely helpful, service was great. Only downside was trying to get [... read more]

Great resort
True that the beds are awful but that's the only complaint. They were very helpful and always asking for feedback. Food great. Snorkeling great. Great place for kids. Wonderful family vacation Would def go back
Beautiful resort
The only complaint is that there was nothing posted anywhere of what was happening during the day, so not enough information. Also, there was a bad smell in the room but other rooms were fine. Resort, beach and entertainment were great. Food was fabulous. Would definitely go back.
Beautiful Paradies with amazing Food and People!
Great set up of the resort surrounded by beautiful nature and curious animals. We had enough space to move around in our room, you just go there to enjoy the beach, the water, the food and the friendliness of the Mexicans. Just amazing and a dream. :) A little con: A little bit of walking involved to get around the hotel, that was not a problem for us. Also no problem for wheelchair access, you can move around easy. If you like swimming in the ocean, bring your swim shoes, recommended there are [... read more]
Amazing resort
Beautiful, clean resort. Interesting wildlife throughout. Loved the pools including the swim up bars and "foam party". Everyone enjoyed the lazy river over and over again. The young people in our group enjoyed the disco and we all liked the lobby bars. The food at the buffet is varied and excellent. The Mexican a la cater was good too. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Ok resort
No beach and smelled like rotting sewage. Rooms clean and spacious. Food excellent, hot and good variety. Pools great but crowded. Bars good service spa ok. concierge horrible service but buffet personnelexcellent. Night programs ok. Well laid out the resort is nice
Amazing trip to paradise
Our family just returned from 10 days at this amazing resort and we are already to book our next stay. There are two sides to this very large resort; the Mayan beach side and the Riviera Maya side. After looking into both sides we decided to stay on the Mayan beach side as it seemed like a good fit for our family. We were able to stay in building 29 which was right next to one of the large pools with a lot of great entertainment, the ice cream shop and the Brazilian restaurant (formally the Caju [... read more]
Very good value for money
Our 3rd time at Grand Sirenis. The place is starting to show its age and I would say maintenance has been neglected in some areas. The grounds are great and we like the fact it is spread out over large area. If you don't want to be side by side with all the other hotels, this is perfect. We like they way they have kept the natural area around intact. It would appear they are starting to invest some money to refurbish, but I also think it is going towards their premium travelers club/members. Mak [... read more]
Excellent service mostly with other issues
Nice grounds, large rooms, uncomfortable beds, outdated furniture, most employees went above and beyond to help. Good food selection at buffet with a bit of repetition. A la carte restaurants reservations start only at 6:30 so my young kids fell asleep or were cranky before getting main course. Best was Japanese and Brasilian (service and food). Felt rushed out of Mediterranean and Cajun. Nice beach in a cove without waves but lots of coral rocks. Bring water shoes. Pools were very nice and good [... read more]
Amazing Resort
Had a Great Vacation at Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach, Loved the grounds, the beach had amazing snorkeling just a few feet away from the shore. We really loved the Coffee shop, Health Bar (Delicious Smoothies) and the Ice Cream Bar. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely plan another vacation with The Grand Sirenis.
Not quite a 4Star
Large resort, good diversity for those who want to relax, be involved in the activities and to mingle. Barely a 4*. Do not rely on their cart/shuttle system; if you can't walk well, this is not a place for you. Way too much time between shuttles and that is if you can get on it (full).
Sirenity at the Grand Sirenis...
My husband and I travelled to the Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Resort in the beginning of September and our overall rating would be a 4/5 stars. We really enjoyed ourselves immensely! We loved the beach – it has a natural coral reef right out front and a protected bay which was perfect for snorkeling. We saw lots of different fish and turtles in the bay. The resort itself we loved the layout of. It is quite large, but we loved walking around it and exploring. It was nice after big dinners to have [... read more]

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Review Aug 10 2015
Overall great experience !!Great staff very attentive friendly and attentive. Food great for everyone including a basic meat and potatoes person such as myself. Resort is huge and very clean and well maintained. Beach is only potential issue some rocks as u enter and on actual beach. Offsite excursions very expensive but I assume par for the course at any hotel for family of 4 with discounts on both kids appox $830.00 for 2 excursions with no extras just basic tour. Well worth going
