Hilton Waikiki Beach: obliging staff, hospitality room

Friendly and obliging staff were an asset to this otherwise unexceptional hotel. It's close to the beach and shopping as are most Waikiki hotels, but near the Kapiolani Park end if you want to get away from the crowds. No complaints about the rooms, but nothing special either. The main floor public areas, bar, restaurant are a bit dark and lacking in outdoor "Hawaiian" feel, so not particularly inviting. A real plus was a free hospitality room to change so we could enjoy a last full day on the b [... read more]each before a late night flight.

Honua Kai Resort: Great Resort!

We enjoyed staying at this resort! It had all the ammenities and most of the luxuries you could wish for. Excellent restaurant on site and good service from all the staff! We would definitely recommend this resort!

Royal Kahana Maui by Outrigger: Relaxing vacation

We are a mature couple who was looking for a relaxing one-week vacation in Maui. It was our second visit to Maui. Last time, we stayed in Wailuku and so this time we wanted to be more out West closer to the beaches, Lahaina and the North West shore line. We liked the Royal Kahana building. It was easy to find, the Reception desk staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There was plenty of parking and the building was well maintained. It was very comfortable and it had a great view. We enjoyed having breakfasts on the balcony every single day. Upon check-in, we learned that the beach access was closed due to the shore line erosion since this spring. To access the beach, we had to walk three hotels south to the public Kahana beach, which was quite disappointing and defeated the purpose of selecting a beach front resort in the first place. Even more so because we asked our travel agent about the beach access before making the booking in August. We were informed that the beach is quite small but there was no mention about the fact that it is not accessible from Royal Kahana at all. We didn't use the other facilities - the pool or the fitness center. If the beach was accessible, I would give it 4 starts.

Pacific Monarch: Wonderful stay! 5 stars for Guest Services!

The Aqua Pacific Monarch was perfect for our stay in Waikiki. The hotel is 5 minutes from the beach and the rooms look as though they have been recently updated, very clean and modern. The staff is awesome! They are all extremely kind and genuine. We upgraded our room half way into our stay and they were so accommodating, we were greeted every time we walked in or out of the hotel. Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach: Good Balue!

A good hotel in a good location with great staff! Staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Good breakfast options were included with our stay. Beds were extremely comfortable. Overall a very enjoyable experience at this hotel.

Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani: Very pleasant, most enjoyable. Would love to spend more time there.

Everything was wonderfull the staff was very courteous and pleasant, every thing was clean, view from the large balcony was delightful. We have already recommended this hotel to our travel agent and friends

Excellent rooms , clean , great view of ocean , super checkin service , breakfast buffet was superb . Overall great hotel with great location ! Short walk to beach (2 minutes) staff beat our expectations ,and help make holiday very enjoyable .

Hyatt Regency Waikiki: Great Example of a Top Notch Hotel and First Class Service

Right from the minute we arrived at the hotel, we were treated like royalty. Whether it was the person at the front desk, the cleaning staff, the wait staff at the restaurants or the pool attendant, the service was first class. The hotel was spectacular. The pool area was spotless and luxurious. The view of Waikki beach while having breakfast at the Shore restaurant was breathtaking. The room was spotless. The customer service was top notch. The food was nothing less than exceptional. I can't say enough about the positive experience I had while staying at this hotel.

The Twin Fin: Loved the location!

We had a great view, the room was comfortable. The location, the pool, the Tiki bar downstairs and the friendly staff made our holiday stay a memorable one. I would just encourage a little updating in the washroom.

Royal Lahaina Resort: Will be back

We arrived here last Friday August 19th late at night not knowing what to expect. I booked this trip with some doubts after reading a lot of negative reviews but the location and the price for what was advertised as a 4 star hotel, I could not resist. We arrived here with a very friendly welcome, so impressed with the person who checked us in and I was immediately impressed with layout of the front lobby. Very inviting. I knew that rooms would be fairly small from reading other reviews and watching YouTube but I was more concerned about the up keep as there was so many negative postings. Great to report room was great. Shower was amazing( great water pressure), beds were comfy, air conditioning worked great. We had one lamp that wouldn't turn on and that was it. But the view to the ocean was heaven. We woke up to the sun shining bright and it was a great start to our vacation. Housekeeping has been fantastic, another item that kept showing up that they are a hit and miss. In fact the first clean up we left a tip and the maid didn't take so I found another maid later that day and asked her to pass it on to our maid. Well I ran into our maid the following day anc she was so thankful and said she wasn't sure if she should have taken the money. I was so impressed and thankful we were in good hands with hardworking honest people. Having the beach in walking distance was also great. I brought my own snorkeling gear so I had the freedom to jump in and snorkel and not worry about renting. The downside is there is no coral so there is next to nothing to really see other than rocks sand and the odd fish. Although a sea turtle did swim by bumped into my teenage daughter in the shallow water which made her scream. That was the highlight of our trip. It stayed a bit for all of us to view and it headed it's way to black Rock which is just a ways up the ocean to the south. We did breakfast once at the restaurant. It was good but way too expensive although my husband and daughter loved the eggs Benedict. We did royal scoop for treats once. It was good. Self parking is 10.00 a day so we went with valet for 5.00 more. I really like the convenience and they are quick to get your vehicle. And extremely polite I might say opening your door so you feel well taken care of. The pools were good for my teenager girls as they are fairly deep. They weren't spectacular but they entertained enough that the swam a half dozen times. I hope this helps future vacationers. Would definitely come back! Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach: Wonderful resort by the beach!!

We stayed in Tower One and it was lovely. We had a view of the beach and the gardens (and fish ponds). The service was great and the shops close by were extremely handy. There were also many great restaurants in the area. Waking up to the sound of waves is a GREAT thing!!

The Kapalua Villas Maui: A little disappointed

The resort was beautiful and the views were awesome from our balcony. We even saw a pod of whales! Loved that there was a pineapple waiting for us in the fridge. Downside: The air conditioning was inadequate and our condo was VERY musty and milddew smelling, especially the bedroom. This did affect our sleep. I would be a little more forgiving if we didn't pay for an upgraded room. If this is a gold standard room, I would be cautious on what a standard room would be. The concierge desk was not v [... read more]ery helpful in suggesting things to do for those with some disability challenges. I felt that if they couldn't make money they weren't keen to help.

Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel: Clean basic room

This hotel offered us a clean, comfortable room. We had a spacious room with a kitchenette which spared us the need to eat out all the time. We were close to the water, grocery store, church and the Alo Moana mall. Our room card got us on the Pink Line shuttle for free.

The Westin Maui Resort and Spa: The agent from TriPadvisor was tOp NOTCH !!!

The overall vacation was SUPERB !!! Hawaii & the people are very Nice & friendly !!! Hotel was Fine ~~~ some flaws & areas that I was not happy with !!!! Beach & weather & adventures experienced was GREAT !!!

Royal Kahana Maui by Outrigger: Excellent holiday

The ocean front views and excellent location were why we selected this resort. We weren't disappointed. The suite was in excellent condition with granite and modern full kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and furniture and the tv had about 82 channels while you are waiting for your spouse to get ready. lol The front desk staff was very good and the excursion/concierge desk was very efficient at taking our money. lol The hotel is on excellent Kahana beach and 5 minute drive to the longer  [... read more]award winning Kanapali beach and 15 minutes to the action in Lahaina.

Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas: Amazing Villa

this place was amazing , friendly staff , beautiful grounds , clean room . Location was perfect , beach was wow ! sunsets are breath takening and we watch them everynight , we will be back here again and again as we fell in love with maui

Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra: Awesome Vacation Package

Ala Moana Hotel was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts at the Plantation Cafe. Lots of fruits and hot dishes. Service was excellent. The people working there are very nice. The hotel is only minutes from the Waikiki beach areas and we always walked. Walkway directly to the mall also was very convenient. This hotel is used by all the airline pilots and personnel so you know it must be good.

Kauai Marriott: Nice resort

Pros: Generally speaking, we were satisfied with this resort, including its location, beautiful beach and pool and our well maintained spacious room. Cons: Breakfast was a little overpriced. My bill was wrong when I checked out. The front desk looked into it and finally made a correction with a confusing long face.

Maui Vista Condo: great value for money

Maui Vista condos are located within a 2 minute walk to fabulous beaches and 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The pools are small for quick dips but the grounds and tennis courts are very good. Every morning we awakened to tropical birds singing and the love birds on out lanai were adorable. The view from out 4th floor unit was northward and peaceful. If you want to entertain friends or have extra space then rent a ground floor unit. Building 3 is the quietest and a 3 minute walk from  [... read more]the road by the beach. We rented a 1 bedroom and ended up with a two bed two bathroom place that was fabulous. It was well equipped with more than I expected including spices for cooking, condiments, a washer and dryer and even access to the owner's Netflix! On the downside the bedrooms of adjacent units and windows are close to each other and everyone is 'on their honour' to be quiet and considerate after 10 pm. We are quiet and over 50 so this wasn't a problem but we were awakened on two nights by our nrighbours who were receiving phone calls and talking at 4 am due to a family emergency without realizing how thin the walls were.

Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach: Budgetable for the price paid

clean room and most importantly timely housekeeping. It may not be the prettiest hotel but you don't stay inside your hotel room in Hawaii. Definitely get the job done at a reasonable price. Would recommend.
