Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Perfect holiday.

Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and the sea view is wonderful. Beach feels private and pool area is spectacular overlooking the sea. Food was good, always something to choose. It is a smaller resort so if you are not interested in loud music, pool games and like local food and looking to relax, this is perfect.

Pros: 2 minutes from the airport. Extensive grounds with tennis courts, two ponds-one with an island covered in egrets, waterfall and jellyfish. Two beaches with good snorkelling on calm days, Amazing pool built in to a rock over the ocean with views of St. Georges and Sandals. Attentive staff, GM who is open to meeting guests and resolving issues. No wait for food, drinks, loungers at pool or beach and tables in restaurants. Good fresh local foods with enough variety at every meal Bes [... read more]t ice cream, potatoes, fish, juice, fruit and baked items. Did not need to go off resort for food. John (shuttle driver) was always available to transfer my elderly mother from the restaurant to the pool and room. Upgraded from Oceanview to oceanfront. Open sliding glass doors to private patio, cross four feet of lawn and you have your private loungers on the beach just outside your door. Doesn't get better than this. Great value for money Cons: Rooms need to be updated (did not care as we did not go to stay in room) Need to have passion fruit and mango mix available at pool bar daily We were upgraded to oceanfront. No elevators so if there are mobility issues, hard to climb up stairs. Grounds and room are spread out. Grenada is a safe island with friendly people. There is so much to do, one week is not enough.

The rooms are dated the property is amazing and the food is better than average there is food and drink available anytime don't be concerned about the bad reviews they are from those type of people who would find fault wherever they go

Beautiful property but in need of the work the new owners are planning. The food cooked to order was good but the menu lacked variety The wait staff in the restaurant and bars were fabulous and accommodating for our large group. The entertainment was good loved the live bands. Now to our bigger issue with exception to Vernel Williams who was the only maid to clean our room properly and the Manager who stepped in. Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Such a wonderful relaxing vacation!!

This hotel gave us everything we were looking forward to. Rest and relaxation. We were happy to see the manager Chris with his smile out and about everyday. He's definitely an asset to this resort. The last night we were there we had a gala and it was really nice to see everyone/guests dressed up and the staff welcoming the guests. We cant wait to return to this gem and to Grenada!!

Coyaba Beach Resort: Perfect Vacation

This resort is a hidden gem. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation and we got just that. The resort is smaller which we like and the rooms are well appointed. The amenities are just fine with the beach being the main reason for our stay. The beach was excellent and always clean. The sand is so soft and the water is nice and warm. The grounds are always kept spotless and the gardens are very nice. The staff is incredible. Everyone was always so pleasant and they wanted to make your trip the best one possible. Good hotel and staff with a great potential to become an excellent resort with a face lift and renovation of the hotel. Beautiful location and surroundings and an excellent design. Local West Indies cuisine was very good rich with spices. Foreign meals (i.e. Mexican or Italian) not so good.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Ultimate Relaxation

Although in need of a major facelift, the Rex has many features of a grand hotel. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, with bougainvillea (Grenada's national flower) in every colour imaginable growing everywhere on the property. The room and public areas were clean. The beach is pristine - soft sand and clear water. It was very quiet- which is exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious when they cooked local foods, not as great with Mexican or Italian. It could have been a bit more professional but it was satisfactory. I like that it was so close to the airport. Had a really relaxing week. Would definitely go there again.

Excellent Resort! All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Many of the staff went above and beyond with great customer service, Deslin, Raphael and Rena and the list goes on! The food was delicious and abundant. The drinks were made perfectly every time. Very clean rooms and grounds were well manicured. The beach was very clean and clear blue water made it picturesque. The planes coming in and out of Grenada were never loud or bother some . I highly recommend staying at the Rex Resort, this was my first trip to Grenada and I definitely will be returning.

Radisson Grenada Beach Resort: My all time favourite place to stay!!

This is the perfect hotel/resort. It is absolutely beautiful! There is a certain charm about it that I have never found at any other place I've ever stayed. The location is the best. The hotel is located right on the beach as well as close to all of the other amenities. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, the grounds and gardens are beautiful, the drinks are great and the food was yummy. Sandals Grenada: Visited Site Before Sandals Expanded it 5 Years Ago - Still A Charm

We visited the LaSource in 1999, before it was hit by the 2004 Hurricane and subsequent sale to Sandals. Sandals has done a great job of expanding the premises, although it took out the former golf course. Grenada remains a special location to me, and the resort is still quite small compared to others. It was very well maintained. We wanted to be on the Pink Gin Beach Buildings in order to have a chance to hear the ocean and see it. The rooms away are nice and tropical but you loose th [... read more]e fact of the ocean. We walked around the resort but only swam in the ocean, not one of the pools. THey have done a great job of umbrellas, but clearly a bit of a need to outstep the butlers if really full. They were only 75% full at the time. The room was great, and unlike many hotels, the in room safe could handle a big lap top. The breakfast buffets were great, expecially the automatic orange juice machine. It was nice that no other restaurant was a buffet. We ended up sitting at the beach side table at Neptunes for the view. Their menu could be augmented a bit. Their two salads were basically identical. After two days, more selection would have been appreciated. Loved the sushi restaurant. Liked Butch Steakhouse. A little disappointed that Spice did not have a big selection of real local dishes, like Oil Down that we tried outside the resort. The hotel gave us room service breakfast for a day we had an early day flight trip to Carriacou, even though we did not have that level of room. We rented a car for a day and tried to get one of the small Butler ice coolors for drinks in the car but they said they did not have any. Funny, even though the hotel was only at 75%, and we were saving them lunch that day. Driving is not for the faint of heart as ditches are 2 feet down, and no curbs stop you first. We combined a visit to the St George Medical University, St Georges and Grand Etang, and a drop in at 4 other resorts to get a feel where we could bring our young children to Grenada. Would be nice to have some water bottles or cooler at the tennis court. It is hot up their. Courts are a bit funky, best described as astro turf. We had several great free clinics with their tennis pro. Water sports were great for snorkel trips and site seeing boat trip up the coast to St Georges. We are certified but did not dive. Walked down the beach one day for our own snorkel. The big rock peers, while not totally natural do provide a safe swimming zone for a beach is prone to many red flag days. I would have to admit that was a positive because the old LaSource could not even get a boat in to pick up divers to go around the other side of the island. Beach drink service was great, even to the far end. Took a hobbie cat out twice with one of the crew. Evening entertainment nice, including the return Sandals guest event. Overall, very hard to pick holes. One suggesting is to tone down the price mark up of taxis through the only tour operator on site. They charge US$18 for the 3 minute ride to the airport, while certified taxies, listed on the government site charge only $10. Sandals implies that all others are unsafe, which is not the case, in my opinion. Similar mark ups existed. Golfing sounded great but the list US$55 return cab to the course five minutes away was silly. If Sandals is already charging a premium fee for the resort, please don't try to add 80% markups to other products. Staff, overall was very friendly. As for going back to the airport 3 hours before the flight, apparently said as a government requirement, the folks at the airport said 1.5 to 2.0 hours was just fine, so we enjoyed the resort longer and took a cab. No one could confirm the 3 hour government rule, just a means to get Sandal's guests off site sooner. Conceige staff at Sandals unable to give me the local Air Canada Vacations - St James Tour local rep number to call in order to check flight info in regard to storms in Canada. Finally, much lower number of Europeans now at this resort. Sandals also responded to previous comments to stop sending sales people to the beach to sign up spa treatments, or to encourage signing up for a our next vacation. We just got one email offering a 12% discount. As for discounts, don't fall for the little flyer about 50% discounts for the gift store before 10 am. It is a small rack of 20 items on sale all the time. The staff seemed to think that 10% discounts after buying 2 items would get sales going faster... The only pain of this trip was Air Canada Rouge. For a 6'2" person, a 5 hr 40 minute flight is painful. Unless you take connections you are forced to this option. Just take lots of Gravel to knock yourself out. Now Air Canada offers planes with Comfort Class - like economy used to be. Funny, this is them finally admitting that Rouge is UN-Comfort Class, just like cattle trucks used to be. You know, offering more than a couple of chairs, with 3 inch more leg room, at a minimal extra ( no more service etc), would help us folks who are over 6 ft, and represent 15% of the market.

This resort was great. The grounds were very well maintained. Nicely landscaped with lots of variety of planting ...beautiful!! The best rooms are the beachfront. The buffet had lots if healthy choices and changed daily. The Oriental restaurant had a good selection of items on the menu and the servers were fantastic. Dianne was great!!! The entertainment was okay but the Saturday night steel band group was exceptional. They played until the very end. Daytime enterainment was scheduled but not always happened. Hotel is tired, built 1993 and not much spent on it since then. Air canada should not rate it a 4star but it is a good 3. Food was ok, not a lot of variety. The grounds were very well kept, rooms need tlc but clean, staff was always pleasant, not much entertainment, and no amenities on the beach eg. beach bar or washrooms. Not a lot of water stations around the property just at restaurant, and pool bar, and in saying that there is a lot of walking to get a drink of water. Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Beautiful grounds!

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. There is even a small lagoon on the property. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and neat. If you are looking for super luxury (like a Sandals) then this isn't the place for you, but if you want good food and a nice place to be in the sun and sand then this is it. Coyaba Beach Resort: Good resort, inadequate food on all inclusive package

The hotel is a solid 4 star resort with beautiful gardens and is located on the best beach in Grenada; very friendly and responsive staff. Regretfully the food, we were on all inclusive package, was probably the worst we ever had on our vacation. The selection of vegetables, fruit and meat was very limited, for 7 days we ate exactly the same meals totally lacking any creativity and in a lot of cases the taste as well. Sandals Grenada: Amazing resort!

It was a bonus that the resort was only 5 min from the airport! The grounds were very beautiful, and the ocean views outstanding. Our room was in a very quiet area, perfect for us. We wished we had 2 chairs (we had1) and a small desk or table. The restaurants provided lots of variety and excellent food and service. Sandals Grenada: Fantastic

My wife and I,decided on La Source Grenada,for our 25th wedding anniversary. We have one regret about our trip,we should of booked for 10 days not seven. I can’t say enough good things about the resort. The room was spacious,the staff and management,extremely professional and made us feel speacil. The food was fantastic,can’t wait to go back. resort, staff and services exactly as described on web site. Lots of stairs or slopes. staff friendly and helpful. Quiet atmosphere, some sort of entertainment nightly. Food very good . no long lines, lots of beach chairs. Very short trip from airport. Do not hear planes as big hill divides space between.
