Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Awesome diving resort!

The food is outstanding! There's something for everyone! The people that work there work very hard to keep the place clean and people moving. And the dive shop is exceptional! Saw some beautiful fish coral reef sharks spotted eagle rays!

Occidental Cozumel: Lovely experience

We have nothing but good things to say about this hotel and our Westjet representatives onsite. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was good, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. We had a lovely experience. The resort grounds were lush and delight to walk through.

Allegro Cozumel: So so resort

We were at this hotel 10 years ago and what a different experience! Not for the good! The food is terrible when there was food. Always empty trays. A la cartes were booked up when we arrived already unless you wanted 9pm sitting. Had a group of 39 people and were told they couldn’t put us all together for just one night. Took 3 days of begging and then finally Pedro accompanied our group. It was a 60th wedding anniversary so we wanted a special dinner. Occidental Cozumel: Very nice resort!

Beautifully maintained grounds with lovely rooms and buildings. The buffet was excellent! I would have liked for the beach to have had palapas to provide both sun and shade. Also, some late afternoon entertainment would have been welcome, for those of us who find 9:10pm a little late to venture out. Over all really nice resort with friendly helpful staff.

We just returned from the occidental after a great week. More pros than cons for sure. This is our second year going there and we have done the royal level each time. Don’t think I would pay the extra next year. Resort was clean, staff very friendly and attentive. Food was good but small restaurant at royal was very slow service and food was cold when served. Buffets offered some selection and hot! Other restaurants were good. Beach was lovely. Water was refreshing. Unfortunately the Jacuzzi poo [... read more]l for royal was not warm even after bringing to their attention. We won’t go back their next year as need to change it up.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Beautiful Resort

Resort is Beautiful, great to sit in the Infiniti pools while the watching the cruise ships come and go. If you like going for walks on beach this beach is too small for that. Staff are friendly , food was great, rooms were clean. There are many trees and bushes around the other pool if you want shade. But there should be more lounge chairs and regular chairs should be added as not everyone can get in and out of the lounge chairs.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Great overview and snorkelling

Bar service is the reason this hotel recieved this rating. Rooms are ok but no bar fridge and inconsistent cleaning even when requested. Ocean view was un-comparable though... Location is about 90 minutes walking distance from the centre of town... A long walk but duable. Buffet Food is not great... Not great at all. A La Carte was tasty but difficult to get a reservation. Finally figured out the menu at the buffet restaurant and was able to order shrimp and steak on the last night. Pool w [... read more]as cold as were the hot tubs. Both unusable. Vacation gets a 6/10

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Fantastic Resort!!!

From the moment we stepped onto the grounds we were met with helpful and friendly staff that went above and beyond. Check-in was fast and we only had to wait an hour or so for our room but were able to use all resort amenities while waiting. We were blown away when we stepped inside our room and saw how beautiful and spacious it was! The resor [... read more]t appeared well designed and it seemed even the “non-oceanview” rooms had at least a partial view of the ocean. Great variety of food, from morning to night as you can choose from three resorts! Bourdeaux at Secrets ended up being our favourite dinner spot, but all others were fantastic. Try the pizza at the Pizzeria for lunch or the Sky Bar for an evening cocktail! There are numerous pools throughout the three resorts that you can use as a Dreams guest. By day seven we were still discovering new restaurants and pools. We didn’t have problems finding beach loungers as we were patient and looked for ones that people had vacated and left their towels behind. That part was a bit frustrating. But we figured, hey, we’re on vacation, the sun is shining and we have a margarita in hand. Great snorkeling right off the beach with snorkeling gear easily available onsite (and included!). We saw so many amazing fish right off the beach and around the pier. Bring water shoes as the shoreline does have some coral and makes entering the water in some spots a bit challenging. For even more amazing snorkeling book an excursion out to the coral reefs. Truly spectacular!

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Dream’s Cozumel

Beautiful beaches, well taken care of property, friendly staff that are happy, beautiful spa. Dreams is the better property out of 3 resorts. Secrets and Sunscape were a little tired and need some updates. The restaurants were okay, 2 Asian restaurants being best quality food out of the a la carte restaurants.

Allegro Cozumel: Very lovely and lively resort

We were there for one week through Air Canada Vacations. The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are very well taken care of. There is a huge kid's fun area with a series of pools. Beach is smallish but accommodates the guests well. The main pool is not huge but functioned very well for the number of guests. We six had a great time. Food quite good. Loved the Italian and Japanese style restaurants. Mexican was just ok in our books. However, the main buffet and lunch buffet had many Mexican d [... read more]ishes on offer and were very good, especially the pork and bacon. The woman who made the eggs to order every morning was amazing and moved the line along very efficiently. Drinks were fantastic and there was certainly no skimping on alcohol. Cozumel itself is not boring. We rented a jeep for the day from HTL that they brought to us and picked up 24hrs later. Cost was 55US plus 25US gas. Drove around the island on the one road and stopped at various gorgeous beaches and look outs. The activities are fun and hosted by a fun team. Some of our group participated in many of the activities and had a great time. The reception team gad a few difficulties on our arrival finding new rooms for us away from the kid's area. Thry came through in the end. When our younger couple decided to get married on the beach, all stops pulled to make it happen, courtesy of Aeleen. Super service from all involved in this very emotional and joyous event. It was not legal but symbolic. We zoomed into San Miguel to buy dresses and shirts. Thanks to Lola at her shop of the same name on the main road facing the water, we found a wedding dress and 2 dresses for the ladies. If you find yourself on Cozumel please visit Lola. Beautiful dresses made on the premises. She can make something the same day and deliver it to your resort! She's worth the visit for lovely summer dresses, tops and pants all made by Lola. All in all a great trip. I would recommend the Allegro highly, especially if you have young children.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Mediocre resort

Service and friendliness of staff was excellent. Some food choices were excellent, others were mediocre or very poor. Buffet in particular was poor quality. Some dishes were made differently with different ingredients each time we ordered them, no consistency. Menu, restaraunt open/close times were not accurate. Random closings, missing items etc. Limited options and long waiting times, no matter what time you went for dinner, early or late. No hot water for three days. Each day I was tol [... read more]d it would be fixed within 1-2 hours, but never happened. No compensation or anything was offered. The patio door was also faulty and would not shut properly. Jacuzzi was never working properly. No jets, not hot or cold, just room temperature water, not as advertised. Best day of the trip was when we went off the property. Would not stay here again.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great resort. Preferred is worth it.

Secrets was a great experience. With preferred you get access to breakfast and lunch at oceana which is definitely worth it. When we arrived we were given an upgraded room for our anniversary, champagne bottle and snacks/drinks refilled each day. Rooms and resort are clean. The chair game is strong, as it is with most resorts, but just get out to enjoy the day by 7:30/8 and you’ll have a beach chair. I don’t know how the chairs were by the pool as I didn’t use them but no one seemed to be withou [... read more]t. Staff are all lovely and the beach always had people coming to take your orders. Coco cafe has top notch coffee and snacks 24 hours. Rooms were clean as well. All restaurants were very accommodating and attentive to allergies as well as vegetarian. Beautiful sunsets on the water to finish off a day at the beach.

Allegro Cozumel: Great holiday

Nice small resort. Shout out to Fernando at the pool bar and Sandra and the other young maitre d. Thank you for your big smiles every single day and for accommodating our big group of 12! The oriental a La carte is fantastic! Unfortunately they only guarantee you one a la carte during your visit. This was disappointing as we noticed they were never full. Front desk staff were ok. The manager should help out when he can though. Overall nice resort.

Allegro Cozumel: Beautiful resort!

We loved this resort and thought the size was perfect for our group of 13. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the hammocks are a nice touch! The food is very good, the only problem is getting into the specialty restaurants. We could only get reservations at 1 of them the week we were there. The pools and beach area are beautiful and it’s never a problem getting lounge chairs. The drinks are great and bartenders are friendly, especially Fernando. Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Beautiful resort with good food, great snorkelling right off by the beach and very friendly staff

This Hotel was perfect for us with downtown just a short walk away. Food was great with lots of fruits and seafood shrimp and fish in the buffet. The Mexican and Italian a la carte restaurant food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and always catered to your needs promptly. Rooms and the grounds were super clean. Entertainment was unique and varied. A short swim from the beach and you are surrounded by colourful fish. We went snorkelling right off the beach several times. The cruise  [... read more]ship in the background gave an interesting backdrop to all the beach activities. It was very interesting to see the cruise ship come and go. Fully recommend this Resort.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: A very relaxing stay!

Upon arrival, check-in was fast and efficient. The lobby although small, was comfortable and modern-looking. Our room was a good size, with plenty of storage space, a beautifully appointed bathroom with a MASSIVE shower and very nice modern decor. The sliding door led to a modest sized patio directly in front of our swimout pool. The only complaint about the swimout pool is that it did not lead to the main pool bar - we had to climb over a 3 foot wall to access the bar, but there was very good p [... read more]oolside service provided by Vicky - she was terrific. The steps into the swimout are also odd; 2 subtle steps down from the deck followed by a HUGE drop into the pool, with no handrail. This wasn't an issue for us, but was an issue for some older adults staying a few doors down. The addition of a handrail down to the swimout in some of the suites would be a good idea. Inside the room, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and had a good selection of different pillows to suit any type of sleeper. Air conditioning was hit and miss - either FREEZING or hardly any air at all. Fortunately, the ceiling fan provided enough of a breeze and circulation to sleep very comfortably. I can't say that I had a bad sleep at all. The a la carte restaurants at Dreams were fairly good; Olio and Annato had a nice variety of menu choices, and all dishes were prepared quite well. Like a dummy, I ordered a steak one night and then realized, you don't order a steak in Mexico LOL. That aside, all meals were very good. Service by Guardencia (hope I spelled that correctly) at Olio in particular was superb! Staying in Preferred Club allowed us access to the restaurants and facilities at the neighboring Sunscape and Secrets resorts. The food at these locations was also very good, with the exception of the Sunscape breakfast, both al la carte and buffet. This was MUCH better at both Dreams and Secrets. The resort grounds were lovely, and the location was nothing short of spectacular, especially at dusk. Watching the sun set on Cozumel is worth the price of the vacation alone! At the main pool at Dreams, bar service was terrific. The liquor was close to top-shelf, and Gustavo and the crew are great! The pool entertainment crew, especially the wonderful Sara were fun. All in all, I would recommend Dreams Cozumel Cape to anyone looking for an inexpensive, good-value-for-the-money all inclusive resort. We are used to a slightly higher standard found on the mainland Riviera Maya, but for the money we spent we were NOT disappointed!

Nice room ,the understaffed servers worked very hard. Too many resources spend on time share, not the cleanest resort we have been too, you cant hardly see out the restaurant windows they are so dirty. After breakfast , the food was okay at best . Would not recommend ,Will not return.

Ocean is Rocky Pool and grounds were kept extremely clean No smoking resort - have to go to front gate even though the beaches in Cozumel are public Service was amazing Food was pretty much the same every day - not a lot of fish was served

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Perfect holiday!

The hotel was amazing - clean, service was great, food was OK, drinks were good, beach was awesome, pool was lovely - there was always chairs to sit in, whether it be by the beach or the pool, so we didn't feel crowded. We took an excursion around the island which was also very good and well organized. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, satisfying holiday.
