Krystal Ixtapa: Krystal Ixtapa

It was all acceptable but the resort appeared to be lagging a bit in maintence. In our room we had broken furniture, light bulb out , air conditioner that was either full blast or off with nothing in between, tears in the curtains. The staff was excellent and did what they could to make our stay nice. The pool area was fine. The food services were not as good as we have experienced in 6 other resorts with the exception of Bogarts restaurant which was exceptionally good. No major complaints.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Amazing Resort

All views from this hotel and grounds are amazing. This resort is separate from the main beach which offers privacy and quiet. The grounds are kept very clean. The staff is so helpful and friendly. We found the food on the resort a lot better than most. Plus you are close to adventure into the main parts of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.

Fontan Ixtapa: Great location; decent resort.

The location of the resort is great; close to shopping and restaurants and the beach is fabulous. The food is mediocre and the renovated rooms are very nice. we heard the un-renovated rooms aren't that nice. there are plenty of events and I really liked that the resort is smaller. there definitely are not enough pool chairs for everyone staying at the resort so it's best to be down to the pool early (8 am) to reserve chairs. we were in tower C on the 8th floor and had a partial ocean view [... read more], it was very nice. it was not noisy and we faced east so got the morning sun which was really nice. the bed was super comfy and the room was very well-kept by the cleaning staff. there are water jugs on each floor which was very nice. the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating; a very pleasant experience. the hotel staff work VERY hard to make sure the guests are taken care of...they do not stop!

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great Facilities

This was my first visit to an Azul property, as well first time in the Ixtapa area. I was very happy with this resort. The staff are very friendly, the facilities are very clean, the food was great (especially the restaurants). I would definitely stay there again.

Posada Real Ixtapa: Good for the money

Older hotel, but they are in the middle of renovation, so it was noisy. Our phone never worked, because there was a problem with the line in the wall. but other wise it was good. The staff were very friendly and help you at any time of the day or night. There was only one buffet with the same meals and the drinks were limited for 2 per day at the restaurant. The place was kept very clean but the ocean was wild the whole time. No-one could swim, and there was a red or black flag all the time.  [... read more]There was a minimum entertainment. There was a free WIFI at the lobby. The side trip we took was the city tour and we went to the market, had food and had home made popsicle, and we got very sick with stomach flu ,fever and vomiting and stayed in bed for 2 days.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Nice Resort!

Have travelled Mexico many times over the years this was the first to Ixtapa. The Azul Grand is a great place clean and well maintained. The grounds are well looked after and out door furniture washed down and clean. All rooms face the ocean, have a furnished balcony to enjoy are spacious and well laid out. Th [... read more]ree pools to enjoy and easy access to the beach. There is a lovely walkway between the Azul and the Azul Grand. Buffet has a decent variety and the food overall is quite good. Booking reservations for the restaurants wasn't the best experience. We arrived on Thursday evening and booked reservations the next day. We never got into the Italian Restaurant or the Oyster Bar for dinner there wasn't anything available during our seven day stay, very disappointing. We were able to get into the Mexican and Japanese restaurant so went twice to each the food was good. There is lunch available at the pool restaurant however not much if any change from day to day. Pool service is excellent. Tried to watch an NFL playoff game in the lounge Sunday but not the best set up for viewing if you happen to be a sports fan. Seating isn't really geared up to view the screens. May not be a concern if you are there to enjoy the peace and tranquility but just in case you travel with sports fans. Check-in and check-out are very quick and efficient. Overall a good experience would recommend and return.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Totally relaxing resort

Beside offering huge spacious rooms all with a view of the beach, this hotel offered the best food we have ever been served at any other resort. The pool areas offered both sun and shade and best of all they were quiet-no constant music blaring. One could read or snooze and we were able to visit without shouting. Beach area is very private and clean

Posada Real Ixtapa: A Room with a Fabulous View

Our room faced the ocean, crashing waves , and the roar of the surf were spectacular . A short walk to the dinning room , again , facing the ocean, and open to the sounds of the surf , we dinned on food that was truly mexican. The staff in the restaurant was friendly and attentive to our needs. Especially when my stomach could only tolerate jell-o. The grounds were well cared for , flowers and palm trees in abundance. A bedside lamp and telephone were missing from our room, but the newly renovated bathrooms were a delight.

Barcelo Ixtapa: Fantastic Resort. Best entertainment I've seen in Mexico

Very good good. Standard accomodation. Very good service. Nice friendly staff. Nice beach, big waves for two weeks but fun. The hardest working band I have ever seen. 7 piece. They play in the show at night and then do a solid 1.5 hours in the bar. Fantastic Latino music, spot on and very tight. Think salsa music at its best. I would go back just for the music.

Krystal Ixtapa: major disappointment

Lets start with the lawn chairs they provided they are old and dirty,we covered them up towels or we would have been standing the whole week. In the dining room it was hard to find a plate or cup that didn't have a crack line or chip,most of the tables wobbled,there was missing tiles on the floor you had watch where you walking.The food didn't have much to pick from same thing over again,we ate out 6 times.Most of the staff didn't speak english,I had an ice bucket in my hand asking 4 different  [... read more]cleaning staff where I could fill it up they didn't know,so I phone the front desk asking where is the ice machine they ask for my room no. and hung up I never did see that iceThe air condition worked half assed,the vent for it was covered with dirt and black stuff.One day I was going to step in the shower and there was no water for 45 minutes good thing it didn't happen when the wife shampooing her hair you would have heard screaming 10 miles away.The bath towels are old and rough get new ones please.Never coming back its a 1 maybe 2 star tops. Way over priced.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Loved this place!

This was my 10th trip to Mexico. Needless to say, I love the country! The people, the history, the food, the weather - can't be beat. But the staff of the Azul Ixtapa Grand were wonderful! They always greeted me with a smile even when I tried to speak with them in my limited Spanish. The hotel is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Lots of choices for food but if you like Mexican fare, you'll love this spot.

This hotel is not only beautiful but the people are so friendly and hard working the place is so clean and food amazing never cold cooked perfect the only problem was no coffee pots by beach in morning I love having coffee by beach in morning

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Amazing Getaway

The grounds were very well kept staff always cleaning. One of the friendliest resort staff we have ever experienced. If there was something that was not working or you had a question, they went and got someone who could fix or give you and answer. Guests that we talked to either have been going to this resort before or if it was their first time they would be back. Sunwing staff were always available to answer any questions. Check in staff were outstanding

Krystal Ixtapa: Great economical choice

This is a 3.5 star resort - if you go into it with that expectation you'll be happy. The staff are super friendly and the room is basic but clean. When we asked to have certain things taken care of (no coffee maker, safe didn't work) it was taken care of no problem. The food is ok, not great but there are lots of places to go nearby. The grounds are beautiful and the view from the room amazing. The beach is right at your doorstep. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Complete

We’ve travelled thru different parts of Mexico and find the combination of perfect beach and waves, friendly staff, food, good for a all inclusive, proximity to two towns that are full of life made this our favourite hotel You almost don’t want to give a good review to keep this area a secret

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Best View Ever

Fantastic view. Super clean. Staff was top notch. 3 pools had everything you would want or need. Food was just ok. Your in Mexico you think they would know how to make Ceviche. Limited higher quality alcohol. No quality Rum just get standard Lot. Staff at Oyster Bar were not very polite compared to the rest of the restaurants. Quick and easy checkout and checkin.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Great Vacation, excellent resort

We enjoyed our stay in Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort, all our expectations were fulfilled, we can plan to come back in a near future because as we use to say, when you are passing well, time flies, all of a sudden, it was over. Thank you.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Can do better

Sunscape is located on a beautiful beach. Some things could be improved. The rooms are small and a bit out dated. Instead of drawers, they have baskets to arrange in your clothes. The cupboard was super small. The washroom was a good size standing shower. The floors of the property were nice and clean. Ther are not enough restaurants. In the evenings, there was only 1 à la carte restaurant and the buffet available.( which was not even a full à la carte menu, you had to get your appetizer fr [... read more]om the buffet!!!) The food at the buffet was very limited by choice and very mediocre. The caravan snack was good but very busy at lunch. Janet the waitress over there was super nice!! The service was great. Staff was nice and smiley. The reception staff were less friendly than others, apart from Daniel who was super nice!! The Sunwing representative Orion was at the property every day and was very helpfull by getting us to check out later than noon. The pool is nice and big with 2 slides. The beach was amazing!!

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Been Four Times

Because we had been too this resort a few times were told too Upgrade Too Sun Club Ocean view room we would get a upgrade to ocean front room. Arrived gave us a room with no view of ocean front and a broken door no latch looked kicked in. gave us another room and told by a wonderful porter named Freddie too come back tomorrow he would try too help get us a upgrade, he is awesome and definately a plus too the Hotel. Got a upgrade next day made our stay much happier. That said they do need too s [... read more]pend some money on room upgrades, locks door frames , bathroom renos. But too go there for the staff awesome, look up Simon and Carlos swim up bar they are the best, Look up Luis at pool bar young, English is fantastic we loved him and also Antonio Waiter at the main pool for drink,. Also love Victor and Aaron at the Lobby bar awesome guys and Marcelo from Sun Club Lounge These are extremely hard workers that have been there all the times we have been there, so we will go back just too see them.
