“Beware of the V.I.P. Breakfast! - Awesome Resort”

I first have to warn about going to the V.I.P. breakfast. It's all about a sale. They want you to purchase into their resorts. The lowest price being 30,000.00 to 125,000.00. They tell you that when you say no they won't push it any longer, well that is not true at all. They also tell you that it is only 90 minutes of your time, again not true, I broke the talk off at 2.5 hours. They were not happy. Brooke the manager of the sales office was all warm and fuzzy until we told her we did not want t [... read more]o purchase because of the U.S. dollar value at the moment and she got up in a huff and chucked the worksheet of all the "great prices" down on the desk. When you first arrive at the resort you will be swept away buy one of the concierge employee's that take such excellent care of you until you say "no" to the sales team. Our concierge person Cesar was all over us and couldn't do enough for us until he heard we did not want to buy into the resorts. After that, we asked him for some more water in our room (prior to saying no to the sale) he said it would be there in a jiff. It never came. Even when he saw us in the lobby he didn't even acknowledge us any more. No good morning nothing. Very unprofessional in my opinion. So avoid the breakfast if you have no intention of buying, they make YOU feel so guilty for wasting their time. As for the resort, it is beautiful. The rounds are very well kept, the pools constantly cleaned. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. I read about musty smells but didn't find our room musty at all. Room Tip: If you want quiet at night, get a room on the opposite side of the pools

Great Beautiful Clean Resort!

The resort is really nice and clean. Rooms are large, comfortable and lovely. The food is ok we weren't sick or anything but nothing said OMG I need to eat there again. The resort itself is large with a beautiful beach. The age of guest is young and like to party a lot of honeymooners. The resort can be very loud at all hours.( we had to move because we not sleeping at night) The workers are wonderful and do a fantastic job servicing the guest. Would we go back??? Hmmm.. if the price was right.

Amasing resort, clean, comfortable, new, atractive

The grounds, rooms and all public areas well maintained. Aquarium of resort mostly loved. Dining in general was good. However, would be good to have the buffet in the evening as well. The beach location is amasing. The only one thing was annoying ( cleaning was done when people were there)

Amazing resort!!!

Breathless Punta Cana was the best resort I've ever stayed in! The room was amazing and so clean, the food was fabulous and so many choices, the staff was absolutely incredible. If you want a great, relaxing, kid free resort, then chose Breatless. I will definitely go back anytime!

Awesome staff!!

Staff are really friendly and constantly making sure that all your needs are met. Very impressive customer service! We highly recommend this resort for folks between the age of 35-55. We did appreciate the amenities of the exhale club....excellent value for money.

First time there and will definitely return!!

We have been to many resorts in Punta Cana and this is one of the best ones we have stayed at. The service we received was beyond exceptional. The XHALE club delivered everything we could have asked for from premium drinks, a separate dining space for breakfast and lunch as well as exceptional service. The swim up room was very well appointed and had sun exposure from early morning to early evening, which is exactly what we had requested. Our favorite restaurants were Coquette (French), the Culinaria (Mediterranean) as well as the Lebanese. We also made great use of the gym, which had more treadmills then I have seen at a resort in a long time. Even during peak hours at the gym, I never had to wait for a treadmill. We also used the spa several times during our stay and have nothing but great things to say about the staff and the services we received. This is definitely a resort I would return to in the future!!!!

Great time would highly recommend

The grounds were impeccable and they work very hard to keep everything clean and well maintained, including the beach, pools and tables. The food was good, the staff was great and definitely worth it to upgrade.

Amazing vacation!!! ~ some room for improvement

the hotel was beautiful. When you arrive, you are welcomed with a delicious drink and a smile. When you check in, you are invited to sit down (this was rather unusual for any hotel/all inclusive I have ever stayed at). Once you are seated with your cold cloth and pretty drink, the sales pitch begins. As we booked Allure, the resort tried to get us to upgrade(which I wasn't expecting), and ended up giving us a "lazy river" view room at no extra charge. I would say that the room wasn't very bright when you had the drapes closed and all the lights on. However, we didn't really spend much time in the room, so it worked for us and it was perfect for afternoon naps! :) All of the staff were super friendly and you will hear the word "magnifico" over and over again when you ask the staff how they are. All the people we dealt with were very friendly and tried to help you as best they could. We had room service twice and it was always delivered within the promised 45 minutes. If you have your heart set on eggs over easy, don't be disappointed when you get them sunny side up! The buffet had loads of options each morning from hot eggs, omelettes made to order, oatmeal, fruit to cold cereal. You can always find something delicious! The majority of the restaurants were great! We had amazing food at both Sofrito, Silk City, Coquette and Culinaria. The service was amazing and the food left us wanting more. We found that it was best to go early as dinner took on average 2 hours (from seating to finish). The courses were amazing and we had a great time at those restaurants. The beach was beautiful and our server (Abraham) was so funny! He was quick and always remembered your order from the day before :) Overall, our vacation was great and we would love to go back!

Beautiful Resort

The resort was very clean and beautiful, the beach was gorgeous.. The food was good but the service was terrible, it's a new resort so a lot of learning still needed. Some staff very friendly but a lot were not.

Breathless Puta Cana

I feel this was the best resort I have ever stayed at . It was very clean the service was excellent and the staff were always friendly. The pools and beach was very well maintained . The food service had plenty of options to choose from as well as late night snacks available. The shows they performed were very entertaining as well .

Top notch hotel!

The good: rooms (all new materials), service, beach, fun , drinks, restaurants, no insect, no bracelets, sports, not crowded, late night shows, pools, elevators The bad: it takes a loooong time to get an answer, a reservation or an info from a representative (kind of 2n gear speed)

Great Vacation!

Breathless Punta Cana Resort and Spa was a great spot to kick back and relax. One major bonus is keeping this resort as an "adult only" venue. You had numerous options available as to how to spend your time, whether it involved partaking in the activities provided by the friendly staff, or relaxing on a lounger down at the beach listening to the waves crash into shore. This resort was very clean and grounds were well kept. Food was good and had lots of variety. The staff were very hospitable and would go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone interested it having an awesome week of fun :)

Beautiful resort .

Beautiful resort, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. I didn't like the discrimination between Xhale members and us ordinary folk. (At $70 a day extra per room, it would no longer have been good value) The Exhale restaurant was more than big enough to accommodate every guest. We were given an Xhale room, which was lovely, without the privileges. As we are elderly, we did find the noise level (very loud music) disturbing, around the main pool area - that's where our room was. My fave so far!

Resort was stunning! Well kept and very clean. The staff is friendly and the service is steller. The food was excellent. My only recommendation would be to just make sure your meat is fully cooked at the beach restaurant, it was always so busy I think they chose service over fully cooked burgers. My husband and I will be returning to Breathless for our next trip to Punta Cana. Thanks for the perfect honeymoon!

Outstanding

Everything was as advertised. Grounds were exceptional. pools pristine and waterfront beyond compare. Food selection great variety. Staff very friendly and entertainment very good. Acces to resort a short distance from airport.

Relaxing vacation

This was a nice resort to just relax. The staff was friendly and attentive. The service was excellent. The restaurants were good but I expected more from a five star resort the beach is beautiful. The snorkeling right off the beach is amazing. No need to off the resort.
