Exceeded all expectations!

We feared that the hotel might not be ready following the September hurricane but everything was perfect. Can't say enough good things about the Staff, the food, the grounds and our room. I would go back in a minute.

My first time in Cabo, but not my last!

this is by far the smallest resort I've ever stayed at. Wasn't sure what to expect but we absolutely LOVED it. Only two areas to eat but both were very good! I was pleasantly surprised at the buffet given that it wasn't huge how great it was! Pools were stunning and mega clean. We had an ocean view room which we were thankful for as the bulk of the rooms face the inside circle of the resort which is where everything is siutated, so a little less privacy and definetely more noise. Always trying to get people to do something (not bugging!) and there was stuff always going on. WE used the gym as well which was immaculate but small scale to fit the resort. Beach was great to walk on for miles. walked to town. walked to starbucks. Only issue really was wifi. My husband was in the midst of signing a work contract. They were great at the front desk, letting him use their computer, scanner and faxing for us. No charge! Definetely would recommend. Great place.

Perfect Smaller Resort

-we loved this resort, the food was great and has good variety. it is a smaller resort but it was fantastic with beautiful grounds, great pools, very safe, very clean & friendly staff. close to airport which was nice too. we will definitely return!

Exceeded Expectations!!

The resort was beautifully manicured, the pools were excellent and the staff were very friendly!! You could just relax if you wanted or indulge in many activities that the resort offered. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The food was very good, we never had an issue any day there was also a great selection everyday. The only downside was that you were not supposed to go into the ocean due to rip tides, but the beach was absolutely beautiful for a daily walk. We normally never re-resort but we have talked about going back again in the future!!

Can be excellent with some tweaks

The hotel,pool,beach were excellent. Very clean except for one bathroom which remained covered in vomit for our week stay. Food was good, good variety. Staff were a hit and miss. We had a few waiters who would cater to you as soon as you arrived in dining room. No real open snack area. You had to sit at an outdoor restaurant to order snack. Alcohol was also hit and miss. One day you could have daquaris, the next day they didn't have rum. Premium alcohol was limited and by mid week, not available [... read more]. The pool bar had one bartender. Needs 3 at least! We were disappointed to have heard that the code to lockers was floating around after we paid for ours! Entertainment staff needs to mingle with guests during dinner hour and not only mingle throughout the day with the 20 year old college girls. It was gross to see how flirtatious they were. Entertainment was good enough. Word of advice, as a few of the guests during our stay found- if you get sick in your room, regardless if it's from the flu or alcohol, CALL ROOM SERVICE! Otherwise it is a steep fine if you use your room towels to clean it up. Our new friend was charged $500!! We were able to argue it down to $30. Good thing I don't give up on this type of argument! Music during the day was ok but could be more lively and current! Pictures are definitely not as shown. The white flowing fabric is no longer on these beach beds! Massages by the beach? Never found them. Nudity photos on the walls can go too...there are children allowed here now. Overall our stay was pleasant. If the above were chNged it would definitely be a 5 star hotel. We had a lot of fun, relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. We caught this hotel as it was re opening from being a nudist resort. They need to tweak it to make it excellent. I may visit again, if the price was right.

Resort was clean and well maintained.

The staff were helpful and hardworking. The servers were great. It was nice talking to them at meal times as they were so friendly. The resort was clean and well maintained. Nice small resort. Noisy around the pools.

Superb Service

One of the best Family vacations we have had. Resort is intimate due to size, attention to detail impressive, superior service. Made us feel special and accomodated all of our extra needs. Highly recommended.

Intimate and Elegant

When we arrived and escorted to our room we were so surprised! We had the most beautiful view of the pool the beach. Every night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Very lovely room which is tastefully decorated. Modern furniture and spacious. Very clean and comfortable. We received excellent service throughout our week stay. We were close [... read more] to San Jose where we walked to the Art Show. Beautiful experience. We went snorkeling on our own and took the local bus to get there. Felt very comfortable. Most of all, the excursion we really enjoyed was the camel tour. The guides walks the camels while two people sit on a saddle. It was comfortable ... I suggest the person with the longer legs sit at the back... me with my short legs felt like I was doing the split! LOL! It was beautiful to ride along the beach. The scenery was just amazing. We even saw in the far distance some wales while on the ride! The guides were so funny and entertaining. On the same tour, we visited the largest cactus that must of been a few hundreds of feet. I didn't know that cactuses could grow that high! We tasted the best homemade Mexican food and had a little tequila lesson. That was the best tour ever. What an awesome experience.

Great time

We had a great time at the Hotel, The people at the front desk tried to be helpful, they couldn't make a decision without approval though. The room was clean, not a lot of drawer space. The food was good, no problems, good variety. No shrimp though. The pool was pleasant, the bar didn't open till 11 a.m. The nightly entertainment got better each night. The disco could have had some real disco music from the 80's. The hotel was close to the Mega store so if you wanted something they didn't have,  [... read more]you could go across the road. The staff was friendly and eager to learn.

Perfect Vacation

Very relaxing and comfortable hotel, staff and vacationers very friendly. Beach lovely and quiet. Only draw back is that you could not really frolic in the ocean due to the undercurrent. Beach cabana were plentiful and the odd whale swimming by was a bonus to be sure. Lovely safe area

AWESOME RESORT!!

Loved the resort! Nice and clean and pretty looking. Staff was so friendly and fun! Pools were clean and fresh. Food was great. Lots to do. Rooms were up to date and super clean. Staff took care of them daily. Loved having a safe in my room.

Amazing beautiful resort!!!

I travelled here with my hubby .... January 18 - 25th. I won it through our local radio station! What a great place to win a trip!!! So much variety to see and do and just relax. This resort was awesome. Smaller intimate resort, very easy to find your way around. At Check In...welcome drinks... after a long day...someone took our luggage and showed us to our room. Nice touch. Loved the couches/sunbeds all around the resort as well as on the beach. Always able to find shade or sun and never ha [... read more]d a problem finding a lounger. No chair hogs here. All the resort areas were new and beautiful. Only about 3 vendors on our beach, were not a bother at all. Beautiful very long beach , we walked it every morning. Walk about 20 minutes down one end and you will come upon Zippers Restaurant, and a cold corona waiting for you. Loved it, popular spot. It is a shame though that this beautiful beach is basically unswimmable due to undertows... if you keep walking the beach there is areas where people do enter the water with caution...which we did. Pools were awesome, heated... which was very nice, and all pools had swim up bars Loved the pool on the upper level, where you could be having a drink and watching whales, this is also the quieter pool, when you are wanting that. The 2 other main pools on lower level had fun entertainment going on during some times of the day. Buffet was excellent..loved all the food, no sickness what so ever! Snack bar near main pools had really yummy burgers nachos mozza sticks hotdogs pizza tacos wings...yummy!!! Main center bar/entertainment area had a fire pit and heat lamps all around, with comfy round couches, very nice to sit by at night while watching the variety of entertainment. One night they had a rock band, it was great, a real party. Room was super nice, plush new beds, tons of plush pillows and duvet... never had that luxury at any other resort. And towels replenished constantly and again plush and soft. Free safe in room and plenty of space and closets/drawers. Free wi-fi ... and I had no problem accessing it during my stay. Room cleaned regularly every day, fridge stocked, our maid was very nice, we had a main floor with patio... steps from the main entertainment/bar and the pools, perfect! 1 a la carte, went for welcome and farewell party with our group..I liked the buffet food better but just my opinion...many enjoyed the food at a la carte. All drinks were great and loved their beer, dark or light. Was told over and over again how very safe Los Cabos is...we walked a few nights after dark down the strip past all the resorts and stumbled upon nice cafes/bars/restaurants/shops...enjoyed getting out there exploring..never felt comfortable with just the 2 of us doing that anywhere else we have travelled. Resort is very close to San Jose del Cabo... bus or cab...very cheap or about half hour walk in ... we went a few times...nice little town...nice souvenir shops...and bars/restaurants galore...we went to Shooters Sports Bar there...loved it...even went in town a second time and went again...sit at the bar ... you will get to know the owners..Canadian family...very nice people...we loved this place...and cheap cheap beer/food....music and tv's all over for sport watching...highly recommend going there ... fun times! Can cab or bus into Cabos San Lucas...again we went a few times...a must place to visit ... more busy than San Jose...lots to see and do ... have to visit Cabo Wabo Cantina while there and take advantage of all the excursions out of the Marina. Lover's Beach ... a must do... so beautiful for swimming as well as the famous Arch...pics do it no justice...see it in person. Take advantage of free admission for Royal Decameron guests to watch dolphins at the Dolphin Discovery right across street from resort. Best touch of all ... the night we were all in the lobby waiting to leave by bus to airport..late flight....entertainment staff guys came around giving some of us hugs goodbye, joking with each of us, very nice touch, so sincere, stands out with me ... thank you to them...they were the best.... I have never experienced that at any other resort ... made a hard time leaving a little easier! I agree this is a solid 4 star and I would even give it a 4.5/5 star! Will definitely do a repeat of this vacation again in the future. Fun resort

staff where very friendly ,rooms very nice ,pool was wonderful very nice location it also was a very safe place to visit it was close to the town and our visit to the habour as great could have spent more then a week there

Service was very poor. Not attentive. Had to wait

Had to wait to be served for lunch and had to wait 30 minutes or more for the food to arrive Staff did not understand English not enough choice at the buffet. Very meagre in terms of amount of food. No variety. The same thing everyday.

Nice resort

Not great for families, Pretty good good, nice sized resort and wonderful, fun staff:) great price for Los Cabos. Inappropriate behavior at the hotel, which should not have been tolerated. Entire resort was talking about select few individuals which made parts of many people's trip awkward or uncomfortable.

Exceeded our expectations!

From the time we walked into the resort we received excellent service! Our room and view were spectacular. The amenities from the activities to the dining were great! This resort exceeded our expectations!

Wonderful

The resort was small beautiful ,clean, secure and very good entertainment. The food was great. There are many lounging area for quiet reading. We enjoyed everyday. There is shopping close by with everything that you can need.

Awesome resort!!

I stayed at Royal Decameron in both January and again in April 2014. I went back for a second trip because I loved it there so much. Grounds are kept nice, rooms are also clean and nice. Love the location and the staff are simply amazing. They have a super little disco/bar where you can party at night. No need to leave the resort. So much fun and it is a smaller resort so you meet so many people. Planning on going back again next year. Great resort!

Will go back

Amazing little place compared to some of the large resorts I've been to. I stayed for 2 weeks and found little to whine about, service was good, as were the rooms....food was surprising good. Nice pool.

Very quiet and relaxing resort

The food was good, very clean resort, extremely quiet, good for couples. I do not recommend families, as there is no children activities. Parents will have to entertain their children. We went as a adult couple in a group and enjoyed this area of Mexico. We will travel here again. Recommend whale watching if you travel in January - February months. We enjoyed the sea life from boats only. The ocean is not safe to swim in, however, the pools are quite nice.
