Beaches Turks and Caicos: Excellent resort.

This resort is amazing in many aspects and i will try to cover the good and bad. *** Beach *** Amazing. One of the best i've seen. No algaes, very little waves, lots of sand area, clear blue color and clean. The problem is they need more umbrellas. *** Restaurants *** The food is great no matter which restaurants you go to and we tried almost all of them. I ate everything possible and never got sick. Jerks had awesome chicken and fish done on bbq. Note that they have lots of sea food available in almost all restaurants. Note: They have a wide range of alcohol, however wine is limited to their house wine (2 red and 2 whites all not good). You can however buy a bottle a the restaurants if you like (~50 to 150) and the list was pretty good. The Turks beer was good (go for lager not light). There's also no lineups or wait time at restaurants. *** Rooms *** Rooms is where i lowered my score but i'll explain why. We originally booked at the Carrabean and the room was very disapointing. For the price you pay they shouldn't even offer such rooms. Noisy A/C and fridge, dark and full of bugs. We had to change. We looked at the Italian area and for a family is perfect. All rooms are the same setup (bonk beds, king and a sofa/bed) and look much more recent. The Key West is the top. It's also the most expensive and furthest but worth while. They still had mosquitoes in them. I must have killed 12 of them overall and still got bitten 15 times. *** Activities *** We didn't do much of them. Actually, there's really nothing for adults, it's all geared toward children and they seem to like them. I think the resort has a deal with Seasame Street cause you see the characters all week long. They have a kids area that looks fun for them. *** Shows *** Shows are bad. Don't bother with them. The only good one was the kid's talent show where they bring kids from the resort and they show their talent. That was fun. The rest are below average compared to other regular resort shows. *** Service *** Service is great. Everytime we've asked for something we got it. It's not super fast but they manage to get back to you and do the best they can to accomodate. *** Safety *** No problems there. Gated hotel and if you leave the grounds you have to sign out with the guard. Not much to do outside the resort though unless you rent a vehicule to go around. *** WiFi *** Horrible. It's an open wifi so anyone can connect without password. Problem is that it's super slow so don't bother at all with it. I found that the best time was before 7am and after 11pm. In between, forget it, you'll just get frustrated. They do have business centre but i didn't look into it so i don't if it's free or you have to pay. *** General Tricks/Advice *** - Bring bugs spray - You can ask for take out if you don't feel like eating out. They give you a decent size box. - If you're low on water, get it at the gym. It's much colder then the ones at the bar. - Tips are frown upon in that resort so be disgreet if you;re going to do it but i haven't seen anyone tip at all and the service will not change either whether you do it or not. - Don't go Carrabean village, pay the extra to stay either at Italian or KeyWest. - Relax and have fun :)

Ocean Club Resort: Beautiful

Absolutely beautiful place, and extremely friendly staff.....our only complaint was where are room was located. ..we were the furthest front ocean and around the corner from the office. .. other then that we would return but in a differant room.

Ocean Club West: Fabulous Resort on World's Best Beach!

This was our first trip to Turks & Caicos and Ocean Club West certainly exceeded our expectations. Located in the centre of Grace Bay, it is walking distance to the grocery store, many wonderful restaurants, pizza, ice cream, shopping. We only used a cab once while we were there for the week. Bikes are also provided for those who prefer to cycle. The resort was spotless, the grounds well kept and the beach was the best we have ever seen. They had plenty of chairs, umbrellas and towels for the be [... read more]ach and pool areas. The pool located in the middle of the resort, surrounded by lush gardens made it the focal point. The rooms and balconies were perfect and well stocked with everything. We had a Studio Suite which came with a kitchenette that was very handy for breakfast. The Seaside Cafe was a great outdoor restaurant which offered a good selection meals. They even provided wait staff at the beach to take orders for drinks, lunch etc. There are BBQs on-site that can be used. Unfortunately we ran out of time, we will know for the next time. Can't wait to go back!

Grace Bay Suites: Reasonable room and great location

Great location w short walk to the beautiful 10 mile-long beach turquoise water. At poolside a BBQ available and a great savior to casually relax and dine. Nearby convenient IGA Gourmet with everything available at reasonable prices(food, wine, alcohol & beer). Always congenial hosts Mandy and Kevin and friendly guests from allover. Ports Of Call Resort: Nice location very short walk to the beach.

The location is next to a grocery store. A short walk across the street to the amazing beach. Always a friendly (James) person to greet you and set up an umbrella and came around later with cold drinks for sale very reasonably priced. A nice kitchen with breakfast included. Rooms a little small but clean and comfortable beds. We upgraded to a balcony and were happy we did. Restaurants all around ice cream shops and great little bakery all a short distance . Grace Bay Suites: Great Vacation

Stayed one week at Grace Bay Suites and had a great vacation. The room was spacious and clean with fridge,coffee maker & toaster. The pool area also had a barbeque for hotel guests to use. The hotel was a short walk to Gourmet IGA, excellent restaurants and Grace Bay beach which provided chairs & umbrellas. We would recommend renting a car for a few days as there are many other beautiful beaches to discover, Taylor, Long Bay, and our favorite Saporilla. Beaches Turks and Caicos: Best resort we have been to

There are so many tripadvisor reviews there is nothing more I can say, other than to add my vote: this resort is the best we have been to. It cost about 40% more and was 20% better than the next best in our experience. But that may be worth it in that all irritants are removed - no line ups or waiting for dinner, no limits to where you can go on the resort, quick transport from the airport, no long walk to the beach, no shortage of chairs or shade, and so on. Great resort for the money. 3 minutes walk to the beach, very conveniently located, close to everything. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast in the morning was very helpful. Overall great value for the money!

Beaches Turks and Caicos: Wonderful experience for young and old alike!

All areas of the resort were excellent, including the beach, restaurants, pools, play areas, kids' camp and public areas. When we booked, we were very specific about the kind of rooms we needed, and were reassured this is what we would get. The rooms were not right, and Beaches only corrected this from Day 4 on.

Really nice hotel in the middle of everything in the Grace Bay area.Room was nice clean and modern. The pool are was amazing,nice lounge chair's and umbrellas,continental breakfast was a really nice touch,the staff was nice and helpful. All in all we enjoyed our stay here.

Ports Of Call Resort: Great Location and Place To Relax

Ports of Call Resort is a boutique resort which is located right in the heart of all the amenities you require when staying in Turks and Caicos. You are a 3 minute walk to a fabulous white sandy beach. Dining and shopping just a few minutes away by walking. For us it was the perfect location with the best deal on the island.

Alexandra Resort: Excellent resort, on beautiful Grace Beach

Mango Reef is a great restaurant on site and has probably the best value dinners on the beach Also lots of other fine restaurants within a 10 minute walk along the beach. The beach is fabulous for swimming and the staff are incredibly friendly.

Grace Bay Suites: Amazing resort

This is a smaller ,great resort, very clean,excellent staff Kevin n Mandy go out of their to help in anyway they can. Clean pool and well kept grounds. 5 minute walk to the most beautiful beach in the world 12 miles white sand n warm water. Can't wait to go back again someday.

Grace Bay Suites: Bare Bones but Great Value

This small, well located hotel was a rather pleasant surprise. We got a great air/hotel deal on Tripcentral and were not expecting too much as it was way cheaper than everything else in the area. They are not right on the beach but are a very short walk from one of the most spectacular beaches in the world. Accommodations were clean, and looked fairly recently renovated. Everything in the room actually worked including the a/c although internet was a bit slow. The staff were always very helpful. [... read more] There are over ten good restaurants and an excellent supermarket also short walk from the hotel, but everything on the island is quite expensive.

A wonderful place to stay while on a holiday.Everything was great. The service was wonderful.The beach was amazing and the people were so helpful. The restaurants were very good. I would definately recommend this resort to anyone for a super holiday.

Royal West Indies: Condo / Hotel on Amazing Beach

Clean, everything you need Condo/Hotel on an amazing beach. Stayed here 1st week of November 2014. Had a Studio room, which included 2 queen size beds, TV, apartment size refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dishes and utensils. Room was ocean view with large balcony with patio furniture and a beautiful view of Grace Bay Beach. There are two pools, on site, most people use the beach. The beach is one of the top 10 beaches, water is turquoise, sand is like powder. It is truly gorgeous. [... read more] Lots of available loungers and umbrellas for resort guests. You are within a short walk to town where you will find, many restaurants, and the local IGA grocery store. Taking cabs can be expensive, charge is per person to destination. Food and drink are expensive. Bring what you can from home, and or look for specials offered at various restaurants, and happy hours. Restaurant at Hotel - the Pelican offers good quality food and a daily happy hour, but can be expensive. Go to the Local Fish Fry on Wednesday's great food for excellent value. This is a condo / hotel with various owners of rooms - studio, 1 or 2 bedroom suites, many of whom were there the week we were for an owners meeting. Everyone extremely friendly. Many return guests to resort / and Turks and Caicos. Grounds beautifully kept, with lovely flowers throughout. Would definetly return to Turks and Caicos, and this hotel!

Beaches Turks and Caicos: SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!

AMAZING!!! grounds, staff, room, restaurants were all perfect. It was a quiet season but the entertainment staff still made the efforts to keep us entertained, great group of people. There isn't anything negative that i would say about my stay in Turks.

Villa del Mar: Great hotel

This is our first time to Turks and Caicos.It is a very nice,clean and quiet hotel,room is spacious,staffs are nice,friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and restaurants,also there's grocery store nearby.

Seven Stars Resort: Fabulous resort!

Lovely well kept and spotless resort. Ideal location on the beach and within walking distance to the amenities. Incredibly friendly staff. Fabulous food. Very attentive to detail. Would definitely visit again.

Grace Bay Suites: Excellent Value

Stayed for a week at Grace Bay Suites in February. Excellent value "almost" on Grace Bay beach - just a couple of minutes walk. Short walk to restaurants and grocery store. The BBQ was useful to have a couple of meals not in restaurants. Pool is small, but still nice to sit around. The chairs on the beach were always free when we needed them.
