Good resort!

Clean room, clean dining buffet and friendly staff. Everybody was having face masks and using them all the time. Clean walking passes and all around resort. They were washing every evening around pools. Good food and plenty. Lots of fresh fruits. Wifi available free, especially around the main lobby, sometimes in the room to-depending on the position. We didn't participate at everything activities and outside excursions , so not able to comment about these.

I have been to Cuba 7 times and this was by far my favourite resort ! Yes covid has hurt Cuba but it did not stop them from trying and making sure it was an amazing experience . Specially entertainment team Julia and keyner were amazing , the shows at night were breathtaking. Cuba needs tourists to survive. The food was number one AMAZING. Lobster at A lacarte restaurants and steak were amazing. Amazing

Fifth time to Pullman and loved it as much as the first time. Great staff, great food, wonderful accommodations. Beach is amazing. We were on adult side but if you have children lots for them to do. Games, foam machine and lots of activities. Night club disco . You name it they have it Total R and R.

Great Resort!

Very close in proximity to the airport, first off the bus on arrival and last on when heading home - huge bonus, this makes the bus right 10-15mins which is so great after a day of traveling. Check in was good - you have to ask for the free wifi code, and it only works in the lobby and some very close room to the lobby. They initially give you 5 hours but you can request more for free. You do have to type the very detailed code in every time you login. It worked great and everything loaded n [... read more]o problem. Room was great - no complaints at all, the bathroom is great new tiles and a great stand up shower as well as a big bathtub - which was very clean. New towels and all bathmats etc daily. One complaint was that the walls are very thin - we had some partying neighbours late into the morning hours and we could very clearly hear them. To continue with the noise level, the pools are amazing beautiful and clean. One is very shallow - more so suited for children only mid thigh deep on an adult so not great for swimming. that leaves us with two more pools for the adults, one is the infinity pool which was beautiful - with a swim up bar - unfortunately it was closed due to covid. The one remaining pool was the "entertainment pool" and it was extremely loud. The resort is pretty small and you can hear the activities going on from anywhere in the resort. My biggest issue was how loud the entertainment was if you were trying to relax by the pool. Ideally there would be a "quite" pool so people who didn't want to be around the noise could go there. There is a "collections" side to the resort which is available for booking at an extra cost, they did have a quite pool, but If your booked in a regular room you cannot go to this area. Food was great, probably the best food I've had in Cuba. There is an omelette station every morning, as well as a smoothie bar. Coffee bar in the lobby was amazing, defiantly a highlight. As far as covid protocols go - the staff were always masked and professional. There wasn't very many hand sanitizers throughout the resort, which I think could be improved upon. Not to mention that I did not see one single table be wipped the entire time we were there, they would just reset the buffet tables with new cultery and carry on. That being said I didn't feel unsafe, the staff had to on a number of occasions enforce mask wearing to many of the Russian visitors. PCR testing was easy and efficient - 30USD, results the next day. A la cartes were delicious, I was a bit put off at the Japanese one where they had us sitting at a communal table, eating with our masks off and no social distancing. But the food was great at all of them. Overall great resort - would go back, probably would book collections next time, but great value.

GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY

Beautiful modern hotel overlooking a real blue ocean. Resort has 5 a large carte restaurants and 1 buffet restaurant and 1 Snack Bar. Food was actually good for Cuba. Not bland but actually seasoned. No room service available. You get 2 Reservations for stays less than 7 days for a la carte restaurants that are pre-picked for you. For stays 7 days or more you get 3 Reservations. Note that this hotel is on island and no residents live on this island. There are 7 hotels and 1 market. Nothing else. The closest city is 1 hr away! The good thing is that the airport is less then 15 minutes away!

My favourite resort in Cuba!

Beautiful beach, clean and well designed resort, great food, warm and friendly staff. The animation team is energetic and engaging. Lots of animals on the resort which we all loved, there is a feeling of community there. My second time going and I would return again. Highly recommend!

Loved it.

Beach and sand was stunning! Resort was great. People were friendly. The shows were great, som DJ and dancing outdoors every other night, but left the crowd craving dancing on nights music and dancing didn’t happen. Pool is large, but oddly shaped. Excellent covid protocols, we weren’t worried at all. Testing in advance of flight home was done at the resort and made SUPER easy and exceptionally organized. Everything was spotless. Room was comfortable, the washroom doors didn’t close probably but I mean these are all minor things, and didn’t matter to us since we only ever went to the room to sleep! Didn’t matter which building you were at in the resort, there was entrance to the beach only steps away. I’ll certainly return :)

Awesome Resort

I forgot to say that in cuba you paid 30.00 72 hours before you leave to go back to your country for a covid test. It is done on the resort and they give you the time and date. The wait is long to get it done because they only have a doctor and one nurse doing the testing. You wear your mask on the plane in the airport and at certain spots at the resort. Amazing hotel

la cart food was great except for the japanese rest.washrooms needs more hygiene i told main desk i notice more improvement overalls its a lovely place to windy need to bring a jacket entertainment is magic they work really hard and do such amazing job loved one of the best places for entertainment i will go back again.

Consistently great service at Pullman's

A shout out to the great team at Pullman. My apologies in submitting this review so late. Been really caught up with work and this damn COVID-19. My daughter and I visited Pullman between Feb 15 and 22, 2020. This was our third visit here. We arrived at around 11.30 a.m and were told the room will be available at 3 pm (the normal check-in time). We were surprised to get the room by 2 p.m. That was fantastic! First contact was with the customer service staff (Aileen) who helped resolve the  [... read more]two issues with the room (safe needed new batteries and the sink was not draining). Also, a change from prior visits was that we were pre-booked for the specialty restaurants. Awesome! The reason we keep going back to Pullman is because of the Entertainment Team and the Lobby Bar staff. A special thank you to Gene-in-a-bottle, Betty, Chocolate, Baby Junior, Richard, Yunet, Mia, Mary, The Twins and Juris (with a Y)! A special thank you to Adrian greeting us everyday and spending time chatting with us. The team helped Anushka with her Spanish lessons as well! The staff at the Bar, despite being super busy on most days, took care to remember our orders. A big thanks to Edgar, Adl, Ricardo, Roberto and Nelson. And thanks to Miry at the Pool Bar who made sure she had tomato juice available for my BM! It would be remiss of me not thank Alexander and the 'singing lady' at El Carey. Good resort

The hotel was fine but needs a bit of refurbishing. The beds are very hard...not very comfortable. The food was definitely above average for Cuba. Fresh fish basically every meals and fresh shrimps. Lacks fresh fruit depending on the days. The beach is exceptional, they manage to keep it clean. Lots of beach chairs at the beach and at the pool. The entertainment was very good, cubains have very good musicians and entertainers with great talents. Good Trip!

The hotel was very nice, the staff were great. There are some infrastructure issues as seems to be normal in Cuba- missing tiles in the pool area, showers for washing sand off not working, bad drain smell In room and outside sometimes...But having said that, even with these kind of issues and a cold front from the north, we had a good time. Very windy during our week sadly. Resort was very family friendly and felt very safe. I thought the buffet food was quite good but sadly, the a la Cartes we visited need work. Service was great but there was no appreciable difference In quality from the buffet and in some cases, it was worse. Enjoyed the little beach snack bar and had very good seafood paella there. The Cuban a la carte was ok, the seafood really not impressive and the Italian, my entree remained uneaten. The desk staff were very nice as were the bar staff and the lovely lobby bar coffee staff. Bell service for help with bags was helpful and prompt. Sunwing rep was on site every day and available. I would come back here again!

I expected better

Food wasn’t too bad. Restaurants and buffets were as good. Main complaint was the staff. Not all but but most were not very friendly and just expected tips. When they got it they wouldn’t return for service. Credit card machines always seemed to be down when purchasing items at front desk or cigars.

Great resort

Great resort and good food. Very clean and very friendly staff. Would return for another stay. Customer service provided us with milk for the little ones, and also organized a birthday party for our daughter, which was really great on their part.

Room with a view

The Pullman was a great resort. the staff were quite friendly, although the front staff seemed a little moody at times. The resort itself was clean and a lot of staff working to keep it that way. However the bathrooms did run out of toilet paper a lot. The food was excellent in my opinion. Having never been to Cuba and hearing how the food wasn’t good, I am happy to say they, whoever they are, are wrong . I am having buffet withdrawals! I suggest bringing a wash cloth , as there was never any supplied. The bathroom doors could use fixing but wasn’t the end of the world . I was disappointed with the view of my room, as I paid extra for the Laguna room and got a view of some gigantic black pipe monstrosity. But I had to change rooms for my elderly father, as we were in the furthest building. I suggest the resort should have a wheel chair handy. The entertainment staff on beach, Junior and Richard were great. The lobby had a couple of good performances but I felt other evenings were lacking. I definitely recommend going to Pilar beach.. it’s amazing. Overall I would recommend this hotel. After checking out all the other hotels by way of the hop on/off bus, the Pullman is the nicest for price point. Make sure to get Michael in the lobby bar to make your pina colada !! The best hot coffee is at the lobby or snack bar!

Excellent Resort

Our recent trip to The Pullman Cayo Coco was one of the best places we have visited in the Caribbean! We stayed for 8 days, in the family side and there were a couple of windy, cloudy days, but it is their winter so we took it in stride. Other guests that stayed in the Collection adult side also stated they loved it there. The resort is stunning and the layout of the grounds is perfect. Whatever block of rooms you are in, are close to everything the Pullman has to offer. There was plenty of entertainment throughout the day and the evening "Showtime" was great with very enthusiastic performers. Everything was clean and you could tell the staff at the Pullman took great pride in making sure our stay was wonderful! We never had a problem finding a lounger either by the sparkling pools or right on the fantastic beach. And there is plenty of shade to be had if you want out of the sun. We did have an issue with our keycard, it was system wide, so all guests needed their keys reprogammed but it was remedied quickly and efficiently. We were able to book massages in the Spa, and it was also top notch. I can't say enough good things about this resort. I am already planning a return visit to the Pullman. I've found my new "Home away from Home"

Food was average Room was dampy Cockroach on flat grill at Japanese resto Fantastic beach lots of lounge chairs Never a problem for daily beach towels Snack bar very busy Buffet with repetitive food Talented entertainment All forms of coffee like water. Bring your own from home. Water bottles only available through housekeeping

Great resort

Best resort been in Cuba everything was great except do not recommend beach front not worth the money you do not get any sun all day and the view is not great night entertainment is the best, food is great lots to choose from and it is clean

Not so great

This hotel has gone downhill in the last 2 years,it was our second trip,the grounds,beach and pools nice but service lacking in all areas,room cards did not work for 3 days,needed an escort to take you in when needed,ridiculous and no one could fix,buffet was not good and restaurants were just ok,i will not return

Resort Pullman

Hotel was awesome.Rooms very clean.Staff all very pleasant.Food was great.Ala carte restaurants was awesome.Entertainment was great.pools and grounds keep very clean.Check in was very quick rooms we ready on arriving.
