Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Just not for us ....

Our experience at this hotel was not a good one. From the moment we checked in until the day we left we had several issues. We are not difficult people to please. We are simple and want to enjoy a nice holiday. As soon as we checked in we were immediately harassed by individuals trying to sell us shares. This continued on for days until we threatened to file a complaint against them. Our room was below average. It wasn't clean and it was located directly above the outdoor entertainment ar [... read more]ea so it was very loud on the evenings we had early nights. The maids completed the most basic cleaning they could. Make the bed, refresh the towels and wipe the floor. Our shower and sinks were not cleaned the entire time we were there. The doors and the walls in the room were filthy. One of our cupboard doors fell off the hinge the day we arrived and was only fixed the day before we left (day 9), despite many requests. The grounds were clean and the resort looked very pretty at night with all of the lights. There are 2 pools. The main 'party' pool and then a quieter pool closer to the beach. We did not set foot in the 'party' pool. We saw some interesting things go on and decided to stick to the other pool. I'm glad we did. The party pool was like a frat party. Clothing optional, etc. The second pool was nice and we spent most of our time there or at the beach. They allow smoking at this resort ….anywhere you want to smoke, you can light up. In the pool, beside the pool, at the beach. Despite all of the smoking the grounds were kept clean. Except the beach - there were a lot of cigarettes and cigars in the beach sand. You could find areas that were cleaner than others and this is what we did. The water and the beach itself was really beautiful. The food was ok - the main buffet was pretty plain. The restaurants however did have very good food. We passed on the buffet and went to a restaurant every night. They were all delicious. The weather was our saving grace for 10 days. It was exceptionally beautiful with blue skies and lots of sunshine.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

I usually never write reviews but I feel that based on a few of the issues; a review is warranted ...The check in process is a little too long; they don’t offer you welcome drinks; water etc while you wait, you wait in line with everyone else checking into the resort With one girl doing all the check ins with many others staff standing around, after you check in you have to see another person that takes you thru all the specials the resort offers; spa, dinner specials etc... you then have to  [... read more]wait again for your luggage and to be shown to your room; still 1.15 hours later we were not offered a drink while standing and sitting around. The staff doing the check in were not overly happy or friendly ... I thought this would be a place they want to leave you with a good first impression ... We got to our room only to find out we have two double beds: bearing in mind that we are away as a couple for the first time without kids in years so this was a let down; when we asked about a king bed we were told they don’t have one in the resort available - BUT the next check in guy tells us the hotel is at 65% capacity? Doesn’t make sense... on day 3 of 5 they called us and asked if we wanted to move... we choose to stay where we were to avoid spending time packing up agains and unpacking when we only had a 5 day stay, we wanted to make the most of our time not spend it shuffling rooms. After checking in we went to the jacuzzi pool and went to get a drink; walked up and got totally shafted and ignored and were told they are closed! That they closed that bar at 4pm!! Insane! Two bars- swim up and main pool by 5pm were shut down and no pool side servers around ... we had to walk to the grill bar to get drinks to bring back and sit in the jacuzzi with! We didn’t think much of it just went on with our day that maybe it’s the end of the day and that’s why staff are grumpy/ bar is closed etc; this wasn’t the case all week we got VERY little good service unless we had a 5$ bill in hand; and we do tip at every drink delivery even if we wait an hour for service... we aren’t cheap people ... but the service was subpar all week and I think that bothered us most.. we truly had high expectations after reading so many good reviews ... it was a let down ... The rooms are very clean and well kept; the resort itself is amazingly beautiful, beaches have a ton of sea grass but they maintain the ocean front very well... the poolside entertainment is on the lower end and no nightly entertainment except one night in the theatre. The spa gift card we got from Wendy for 200$ was not valid for a massage we were ONLY allowed to use 40$ of the gift card towards the service .... again totally letdown as I wasn’t going to pay 150$ American for a massage and only 40$ of the gift certificate was able to be applied .. it was a total “spring” break feel by day 3 with the level of partying and drunks; this part doesn’t bother me because everyone should have fun while they vacation! The food made both my husband sick and in the bathroom most of the vacation .... again I don’t ever post reviews but I’ve never been to a resort where I felt so many things went wrong and the service was ultimately kinda blah .... we left feeling pretty let down ...

Breathless Cabo San Lucas: Not going back

This resort is in a great location, rooms are o.k., food is hit and miss, breakfast buffet is the same everyday with not much selection at all, staff is great,,don't like the fact that pools are so far away from each other, and no swimup bar. Will not be going back to this resort

Breathless Montego Bay: Nice Resort

Very modern , very clean, Food delicious, great service. Unless you have VIP service you will not be able to get a decent bed with shade by the pool. Roof top restaurant delicious. A bit to much of a party vibe for my liking, but you were able to access the secrets resorts for quiet time.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great resort

Food was great. Service was very good. Only problem was that they have construction going on during the night and our room was initially right behind it so it kept us from getting sleep because of the constant banging of hammers during the night. They were good about it and changed our rom the next day

Breathless Riviera Cancun: The name of the resort says it all

Breathless was an awesome resort to go to if you want to have a good time that involves both partying and quiet beach time. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the party, head to the beach and while you can still hear some of the music it's not nearly as loud and invasive. It had a good variety for everyone, if wanting to rest and relax, party or both. We got an ocean view room it was nice. I also get the impression that this is a weekenders resort with it filling up to capacity on Friday - Sunday and with Monday and Tuesday being quieter days. We were there Thursday to Tuesday and definitely noticed the change in population. Food represented a good menu that all inclusive resorts have. I would highly recommend the flambe show at La Coquette with Antonio, off menus items (ask Esmeralda, she was fantastic) at the Strip, Nook had awesome gelato and chocolate croissants. The staff was amazing and very helpful if needing anything. Key stars that stand out include: Lisa and Moon (from E-Team) were great with the water aerobics and made it a lot of fun. They also played the most random Texas Holdem and Blackjack rules (resort rules I guess :)) that were a blast and we totally got swindled by Moon at darts. Mack was an awesome bartender at Xhale who was ready to make your stay perfect from check in to check out. Always attentive and a smile on his face. Angel at the swing bar slinging great mango whiskey and other specialty drinks with amazingly good wood fired pizza. Manuel at Spoons always made you feel like you're eating at home with a put of coffee in one hand, and a shot of tequila in another if that's your thing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend going for both couples and singles alike!

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Exquisite attention to detail.

The hotel was just breathless! Very clean and so much attention to detail! Workers and staff everywhere all the time working very hard to ensure all the guests have a beautiful place from the beach to the front gates! Each was very clean at all times. The only down sides I would have to say is that their 24 hour buffet isn’t 24 hours. It closes at 4pm daily and the main restaurants are open only at 6 so you have to go to the beach pool area for burgers etc. Room service was great but alway [... read more]s 1 hour wait so make sure you aren’t starved! Also on the last night before we left I had put my two piece bikini on a chair on our swim up patio to dry, which is accessable only to the other 4 rooms adjacent to us by pool, when I woke up in the morning to get the suit, my bottoms were missing. I checked the pool and the area around, also in our room in case I miss placed it. I waited till getting home to check my baggage thoroughly and yup they were taken. I don’t know why someone would take someone’s bikini thongs, I know they were super cute cause I bought them just for this trip, Anyhow other than that I have no complaints about this place! Don’t get talked into the “club” presentation. We were told it would take 90 min but 2 1/2 hours later, 😳 but they paid for our excursion and a show so I guess it was worth it.

Breathless Montego Bay: Excellent Resort!!

This was a beautiful resort the grounds were amazing and very clean. The staff was very welcoming,polite and friendly. It was nice to have access to secrets guests were spread out throughout all the resorts seemed less busy. Location was perfect close to the airport. The only downside is the beach was a little rocky along the shoreline. The rooms are very modern and beautiful. We have been to many resorts around the world and this is one of the best we will definitely be returning.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Decent Resort

Overall, the resort was very clean and beach maintained very well. Only two restaurants were good for dinner. Recommend French and the Asian. Others were not that great. Entertainment was pretty good as well

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Do not waste your money

Party hotel do not go here. We were so desperate to leave I tried to go home early but no help from anyone. I felt like I was being held hostage. I am going to leave it at that. The people were good though

Very clean, beautiful property, long beach, friendly staff! Only caution is if you use the medical/doctor on call ask for the fee upfront! They tell you after the fact that there is a charge and the charges were extremely high ($495 for 15 min)

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Beware of the Hustle

At first glance the Breathless Resort in Punta Cana appears like the perfect sanctuary to rest, relax and get away from 'reality' but we quickly realized that from the minute arrived we would need to get through a fair number of sales pitches before we were finally ignored and left to enjoy the quiet and relaxation that we needed (and paid for). We were quite naive and thought that our introductory 'concierge' was there to help us settle in. Rather, his end goal was to get us to participate [... read more] in a 90 minute sales pitch. Had we known this we would have been more solid in our consistent mantra, " we just want to get to the beach". If you encounter that and are not interested in paying 20K for the opportunity to get cheaper rates at resorts, then remain clear that you are not interested in participating in the sales pitch. We had issues with getting through to anyone using the phone system. (i.e., when we needed our bags brought to the room without a 30 minute delay or when the breaker system tripped and we had no power) We finally figured out that you should dial 0 to get the switchboard in order to avoid the constant busy signals. Once settled in we enjoyed the beach during the day and were impressed by how much effort was put into maintaining the level of seaweed on the shore. We enjoyed the meals at the a la carte restaurants and took part in the entertainment that was offered. All these elements were what we expected from this resort. Would we go here again? No. However, we rarely travel to the same place twice. I do know that we will be wary of sales pitches that distract from the goals of rest and relaxation at any resort we go to in the future.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great place for a getaway

This is a beautiful resort. Two large pools, steps to the beach and multiple tasty restaurants. I did a solo trip to Breathless and never felt out of place once. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and I had no trouble talking to other guests. The food is above and beyond for an all inclusive, I did not have one meal that I did not enjoy. The nightly entertainment is well done and it seemed most people on the resort attended the shows which speaks of its quality. The staff really are  [... read more]exceptional. Shout outs to Pikachu for his friendly banter and checking in with me every day. The staff remember you and truly make you feel like they care about your experience and vacation.

Breathless Montego Bay: breathtaking Breathless Resort

The grounds were immaculate. The rooms where clean and well maintained by the cleaning staff. The "STAFF" are a fantastic group of employees, you should be proud to have them at your resort. Food variety and quality was excellent. My only negative comment is the restaurant opens at 7:30 a.m., much to late, 6:30 a.m. would be suitable for the early risers.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Amazing vacation.

The resort was beautiful. There were palm trees everywhere. The resort was clean and well maintained. the food was amazing and we always had a good variety to choose from. The beach was spectacular. You could chose between a quiet area and a party area.

Breathless Montego Bay: Awsome Resort

We (group of 12) stayed at Breathless Montego Bay from March 3 - 10/19. The resort was beautiful from the room to the grounds. Staff friendly and helpful. Close proximity to airport. Beautiful beach located across the street which was shared by all 3 resorts. The food was plentiful and delicious. Negative: No nightly entertainment directly on Breathless resort, entertainment was located at the adjacent resorts across the street and outside music on the Breathless resort was sometimes repetit [... read more]ive and loud. Otherwise fun was had by all.

Cleanest resort I have been to, food was amazing, staff were beyond friendly and did everything they could to accommodate you, grounds were beautiful..beaches also beautiful, rooms very modern and clean.. would definitely go again.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Vacation

This resort was absolutely gorgeous. This fairly new resort is flawless. The room was the prettiest room that we have ever stayed in. The huge glass shower is very luxurious and the iPad to run the room is unique. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served by very attentive waiters. We were impressed with the fact that every restaurant greeter asked if anyone in our party had allergies. We were in the Exhale club which I highly recommend. All staff went out of their way to make o [... read more]ur stay special. I also liked the fact that it was a smaller resort which made it easy to walk wherever you wanted to go. No need to catch a cart or train. We will definitely return to this resort.

Breathless Montego Bay: Terrific!

This resort is gorgeous and offers so many options - pools, beach several restaurants. Sat and watched a pod of dolphins feeding before dinner one evening. But the best of all is the staff who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We were so very impressed. Never return to same location but will this time! Only negative is a lack of quiet spaces. Truly caters to a younger crowd.

The resort was amazing! Clean great service beautiful pools and beach. Lots of excellent entertainment and relaxing as well. Lots of choice in restaurants. Everything was easy to find and close to rooms. Vibe was amazing. Great for all ages. Would definitely go back or to another breathless!
