Riu Playacar: Fantastic place
We had a great time at this resort, excellent service from the front desk to the housekeeping people. Everyone had a smile and were quick to help with any request. Two of the best things were no reservations for ala cart and men did not have to wear long pants. The ala carts were busy but people were seated quickly and food came hot and delicious with minimal wait. The resort is very clean with plenty of staff to serve you weather it was drinks on the beach or at the bar, buffet service was [... read more]
Riu Emerald Bay: Busy and noisy
In terms of cleaning this is one of the best hotels we stayed at . It is however very large, busy resort . Lots of families with kids , even the adult pools were always packed and all afternoon there was a Mexican band playing on the beach . The quality of the food in the restaurants was not the best . Expected a lot better
Riu Palace Punta Cana: Riu: Second to None !
Room cleanliness; food adequate and I had no problem finding food I liked; bar service excellent; friendly staff; beautiful resort. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Riu Montego Bay: Great place
We were a group of 17 and we had a wonderful time. There was always lots to keep us busy. Thr food was amazing and the drinks were always delicious. The entertainment staff went above and beyond every day.
Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing Resort
My wife and I just returned from this resort. We booked a one week stay. If you are looking for a family vacation this is the place to go. Lots of things for the younger generation to do. I found the resort well organized, and very entertaining. The staff from cleaners to bartenders to the entertainment are very hard workers. The food is the big winner here something for everyone plus extras. Never had tummy troubles during our stay. I found you were very well looked after during the whole trip. [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Amazing Resort
It’s are 7 th times at this Resort and again are best one so far again . The staff, house keeping, Bartenders , Waitresses, pool entertainment, Beach teams . All excellent . The Buffet is just amazing.
Riu Santa Fe: Cabo Mexico Family Trip
Hotel itself was nice and well maintained. Disco Pacha music was way too loud and the bass could be heard in building 3 across the pool area from 11 pm to 2 am. Room doors slam too loudly at all hours.
Riu Guanacaste: Book by yourself not with an agent
This is my first time booking with a travel agent. Never again. My travel agent was Cindy Callaghan, and she either provided poor advice, or didn't respond at all. Before I left for my trip, I asked her about excursions. I had seen a place 1 hour away that I wanted to visit and asked her advice on renting a car The only thing she said was to wait until I arrived on my first day and book through the resort. Very poor advice. I got way better advice from the Facebook group of Riu Guanacaste. I [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Amazing Resort!
The resort was beautiful. Very well kept and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was nothing spectacular, but was okay. You could always find something to eat, but everything is very bland tasting in my opinion. More pool activities could have been offered at the upper pool not by the ocean. The nightly entertainment shows were okay; some better than others. This is our second time staying at this resort and I would recommend it.
Riu Emerald Bay: great beach
resort needs a face lift, showing it's age Bring Mexican money with you or exchange at airport. Exchange rate at resort not very good and ATM is not reliable Food is not that great. Great beach, although there are a lot of cig butts
Riu Playa Blanca: Amazing Resort
We loved Riu Playa Blanca. The food selection was the best we've ever had at an all inclusive. Staff were very friendly and most could speak some English. The grounds were beautifully kept. The room was really nice but our room had a bath/shower combination and the bath was deep for short people. A fantastic resort...would definitely recommend.
Riu Republica: Riu Republica is a good resort for social activites and parties
We thought that the resort catered well to those who are looking to socialize and have fun with friends or strangers. There was plenty to do in the resort and there was something new everyday that the entertainment team had to offer. With that said, I don't think it is worth staying here for more than 7 days as things will get repetitive. The grounds were well kept, clean, and obviously taken cared of. The service is ok, some of the bartenders and waiters were rude, and some were happy [... read more]
Riu Republica: Great getaway
The place was well staffed and the staff was all very friendly. The room was clean, cool and well stocked with amenities and beverages. The water pressure could have been better (but that's nitpicking) Pools were mostly well maintained, except the party pool which was foggy and had unknown objects floating (as to be expected.) However there is lots of other pools to choose from. The beach was well maintained and was an oasis, with lots of palm tree coverage. The food was good overall, howev [... read more]
Riu Reggae: Awesome place
The riu reggae was awesome not one complaint. Good food always hot I don't mean spicy but the spices jerk sauce was there if you desire. The grounds were very clean beach was small but awesome. People friendly and always working hard to make your stay enjoyable. We are seniors and stayed mostly in the quiet end. 2 swim up bars one for quiet 1 for those who want to rock. Pools are huge. We stayed for 2 weeks and we will be back for sure. Went to the palace last year and we walked by. It was al [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Great Resort
The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very spacious. Constant cleaning around the hotel. Really appreciated that. Staff were so friendly and always trying to please. Beach spectacular. Felt very safe no matter where you were on the resort. Food was amazing. Always a good variety and an abundance of quality food. Entertainment a bit weak and stopped too early. Would definitely return.
Riu Playa Blanca: Beautiful resort
Grounds were well maintained and beautiful Hotel room was well appointed. Unfortunately towels were not replaced each day as requested. Food left a lot to be desired. It was served cold. Lots of duplicates and leftovers served. If meal was served for dinner at night it was also served at lunch the next day. I had asked for gluten free food and unfortunately there was very little in gluten free. Although I was told that sauces on all food was ok for me, it was not. Grilled meats were over c [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: A more than pleasant stay
The food was plentiful and the variety was a pleasant surprise, especially since our stay was over a two week period. The hotel staff were fairly knowledgeable and reasonable with our few requests. The sports bar being open 24 hours was also a huge plus. The gym on the premises was everything I could have asked for. The only complaints dealt with the nightly entertainment...they were either very, very good or outright terrible (no in betweens) ... and the hotel would not accept any Americ [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: GOOD RESORT
VERY NICE AND CLEAN RESORT - JUST A BIT BIG FOR OUR LIKING 3 POOLS - IT SAYS ONE IS ADULTS ONLY BUT CHILDREN WERE IN ALL - HOWEVER, NOT ALOT OF CHILDREN HAD TO GET UP EARLY TO GET A CHAIR IN SHADE, EVERYONE PUTS TOWELS DOWN OTHER THAN THAT, FOOD IS EXCELLENT EVEN AT BUFFET, STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS HELPFUL SERVICE VERY GOOD BEACH NOT GREAT - COULD BE UTILIZED BETTER BY RESORT
Riu Montego Bay: Nice resort
The hotel was clean and the grounds were beautiful. The beach was very small and a lot of sea grass and mud. The food was very good .The airport was a complete nightmare coming into Montego Bay and leaving also .
Riu Palace Aruba: Disappointed with repair work
When we arrived they were doing construction on the inside of the gym. Then they were taking a jackhammer to the balcony above us during the day while at the pool. We moved over to the pool in front of the bar and then they were doing repairs there for the rest of the week. (Removing tiles off seats and tables.) Also now moving outside of the gym to repair the walkway and remove tiles (jackhammer or reciprocating saw) lots of noise and dust. Rather surprised they would do so many repairs dur [... read more]
