Roc Arenas Doradas: Good Hotel

Hotel is good,Superior rooms are great.Food is average,Beach is great,Staff is very friendly.Only thing we didn’t like is its we never get beach towels in our whole visit and Very hard to get reservations for restaurants.We went to book the reservation very first day they said everything is book.I will give 3.5 Star to this hotel.

Sol Palmeras: Fantastic Resort

Always an amazing time, have been 7 times and already booked for next trip at Sol Palmeras. Continually updating resort, rooms and bungalows. Longest and most beautiful beach. Staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating. Have made quite a few friends over the years. Look forward to seeing Yaqueline , Pudarmis in the buffet. Caridad at the lobby bar/ liquor table, Mario the ever smiling bellman. Last but definitely not least my greatest dear friend, Odarmis. Who always makes our trip the b [... read more]est, from restaurant reservations to room accommodations. Good assortment of food, never gone hungry while there. As to food shortages and bland food, this is a country going through hard times. Want spice bring your own, I’ve never needed to. Cuban resorts are in a different class than other countries. Travel to Cuba with an open mind and you’ll have a great time. Can’t wait to get back

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Nice Resort!

The resort looks new and the grounds are nicely laid out and well maintained. The staff is generally pleasant and eager to please, although mostly young and somewhat inexperienced, especially in the housekeeping area. Several basic things were missed, like making sure soap and bottled water were replenished when the room was cleaned. These items were provided upon request but it shouldn't have to be requested, in my view. Overall, it was still a pleasant and memorable experience.

Memories Jibacoa: A Great Trip to a Great Resort

As usual all about this resort was excellent! - Staff, food, room, grounds etc. This was great vacation. So good to be back (our 11th visit). The food was particularly good. Weather was wonderful. Strongly recommend this resort.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Outdated

The hotel is outdated, however clean. The staff were unbelievably rude, this was my 22 time in Cuba and 2 at this hotel, very sad to see how down hill it’s gotten, the pjs to going to Cu a has always been how friendly the staff are, not the case anymore

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Terrible ?

Poor cleaning management really rude ....terrible food and drinks... but great stuff except management really really rude...I will never go back....they never clean my room.lots bugs ? and super dirty rooms

Club Kawama: Beautiful Beach

I had so much fun with new friends and old at Kawama for my 7th time! My room, the amount of food, and staff were wonderful. Give Kawama a try- you might find your “home away from home”! My room had two balconies, two beds, ac , and lots of hot water

Blau Varadero: The best resort so far in Cuba

We have been to Cuba for 20 times and this resort was by far the best that I ever been at. The food was good. There was always lots to eat. The hamburgers are awesome. I have never eaten meat in Cuba before. The staff was awesome. The room was clean with a great oceanview. The lobby with the hanging plants is breathtaking. The resort was quaint and cozy. Club Karey: Not good time to visit here now

This is the first time visit this hotel because it's location. It should more diffcult time for this kind hotel in Cuba,it is an old hotel,maybe country could not give more surpport,Staff no energy to work, so almost no food,less service,less light,many broken building,room is not right for stay,around 10 guests in this big hotel. Iberostar Origin Tainos: One of the Best !!

Jan 23-Feb 6/24***** 5 star in my opinion. Wow what a resort Tanios Varadero it was everything we were looking for, fun entertainment beach food and much much more. Our 2 weeks here was most enjoyable, Tanios delivered !. Then there is Jania, manager extraordinaire who runs the front desk. She is so helpful to answer questions info or any problems which may arise. Hotel Los Cactus: Great resort

It was good two week at Los Cactus. Was our second time at resort, and if we go agin to Cuba, that’s the place we go. Staff was amazing and frendly. We celebrated our wedding anniversary, first thing Lisebeth from guest relations came to our room with bottle of wine and resarvation to Cuba restaurant for anniversary dinner. She made that we have good time. Beach and grounds arecamazig. Only complain is internet service. Is verry slow and hard to conect.

Melia Internacional: Nice Hotel

Hotel was kept well, grounds were clean at all times. Food was plentiful considering it was Cuba. Wifi as anywhere in Cuba was terrible. Ran out of vodka and beer at times. Red and Blue Bar service was not good at all.Tip or no tip they just go through the motions. Outside bars much better, quicker service and friendlier. Disco Bar very good and very friendly. Buffet staff was great. Restaurant staff and food was great. Room was cleaned very well daily, made sure we water in the fridge. Roo [... read more]m was nice ( Junior Suite). Gym was small, but you’re able to get workouts in. Treadmill, free weights, universal , bikes. Room overlooks pool and ocean. Quick walk to beach, beaches were great, lots of loungers on beach with umbrellas. Get there early for best seats. Pools nice and clean, swim up bar.

Recently opened, the resort is super clean and in great shape. Food was typical Cuba fare. Nothing fancy but you certainly won't go hungry. Some things missing from time to time such as eggs, but this is not necessarily specific to this resort given the severe supply issues Cuba is facing right now. The staff are lovely and hard working. Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Great vacation

Enjoyed our stay. Check in wasn't great but after we finally got into our room everything was good. Our maid did an amazing job. Nice newly opened resort. Ran fairly well considering only been open 2 months and from what I seen will only get better as improved daily.

The hotel is good, new. The food was the same as everywhere else, we weren’t hungry. The beach is good, the sand is clean. Only there were few sunbeds. We were never able to sunbathe on it. The staff is attentive.

Starfish Jibacoa: Friendly Resort

The Starfish at Jibacoa is a wonderful resort for couples or families The staff is very friendly and care to make your stay the best it can be. The food is very much Cuban cuisine but they do try to make food which children will like. They have bungalow rooms or villa style. There is lots of grass to give it a park like feeling and a very large beach with lots of beach recliners i love going to this resort.

Brisas Del Caribe: Beautiful Brisas! Will go again!

It is a beautiful comfortable quiet spacious place. The hotel is 45 min away from Varadero Airport, right on an awesome white sand beach = the 3rd one on the Varadero stretch, with lots of palapas and beach chairs. Very well maintained green grounds and several different shape and size pools. Unfortunately I visited in January and did not try the water as some "brave" young people did. Nice souvenir stores. Staff is incredibly kind and helpful and will go extra mile to suit your needs and demands. Lots of smiles and good vibes from everyone there. I would not doubt going again if I get the chance but also I recommend it to everyone as one of the very good 3* hotels in Cuba where I went now for 18 time!

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Beautiful place..bad weather but can’t blame it on the resort…more experience people needed..the staff didn’t have any supervision or guidance… Someone needs to take control and check out the staff duty’s..wine had rum out at 7.00 pm in the main buffet…control needed because they had wine at the bars.. From this experience I don’t want to return to Cuba in the near future…

Melia Internacional: Awesome Resort-Amazing Staff

Jan 31-Feb 7, 2024 - booked Level-Family, oceanview. Make sure you know if you have a premium room or not. Premium rooms have king size bed, otherwise you get two doubles. Food was ample with lots of choices. French fries were hit and miss. Staff, including at buffet were very accommodating with my spouses dairy allergies and buffet chef made him his own pizza with no cheese. Resort looks big and pictures may make you think it’s a long walk to the beach, but it’s really not. Beach bar staff are absolutely amazing!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Could be so much better …

This hotel has sadly seen better days. The grounds are beautifully kept by hardworking staff, but so much else needs to be updated. They were repairing one of the bridges at the main pool, but it was slow going, partly due to the weather. My room, which was in the Privilege section was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, but the curtains would not close properly and the thermostat was hanging by a wire. AC was not needed as it was cool during my stay but it did work. The staff work so har [... read more]d to keep up, but at the beach restaurant it was so busy during lunch that many people walked out without eating. There were no eggs, no yogurt, no butter, no fresh vegetables and very little fruit, but you won’t starve as there was plenty of fish and meats like chicken and pork. There were so few loungers by the main pool that fights broke out over reserving the chairs. The Privilege section pool got all new loungers which were great. I would say it was worth it to pay a little more to stay in the Privilege section, but you still have to go with an open mind when it comes to the shortages in Cuba.
