Ocean Blue and Sand: November 2025

Beach is beautiful with lots of shade and sun. Good variety of restaurants however not open everyday, therefore need to plan well if you want to go to all. Food was always cold in both al a carts and buffet unless ordered off grill. Rooms are large however need some TLC. Not very good entertainment at night and very loud in lobby area. Unable to socialize Staff very friendly

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Awesome Resort

This is such a beautiful resort, it is kept clean and the service is amazing. The staff is friendly and welcome you each day with their Hola. We went as a family and enjoyed the stay. Everyone loved the resort and said that they would return.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very nice vacation

The hotel buildings and landscaping are quite lovely. The food was very good especially the French gournet restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large and quite comfortable. The pools were clean and picturesque. Most days there were open seats at the pools in the morning but only a few later in the day. The beach was very nice but the water was cloudy due to the nearby river flow so not great for snorkelling unless you were at the east end of the bay where the water w [... read more]as clearer. There were lots of varied fish there although the bottom was not particularly pretty. Overall, we had a very nice vacation and would definitely consider returning again. Here are a couple of points that would have made our vacation even better: 1. Housekeeping was occasionally inconsistent. The room was not cleaned on one day and cleaned twice on another day. 2. The restaurants had small signs in English and Spanish to identify the foods. The problem was that, quite often, they were not indicating the correct food where they were placed or indicated two things but only one was at that location. Some things had no sign at all. It would help if this was more consistent and accurate. 3. The special restaurant reservations were available to people who knew before the start of the vacation so some restaurants were fully booked for the week when we arrived. Those who did not know about the early booking were left with limited choices. It would be fairer if the booking was only available to people starting when they check-in physically to the hotel.

Perfect resort for families with children of all ages. The staff, atmosphere, activities, food and cleanliness of the resort are outstanding! Our family enjoyed the pools, beach, water park and entertainment

Occidental Punta Cana: Great hotel .

Clean as a whistle . Manager or supervisor at the front desk , Guillaume Desir is an amazing host and very helpful . This was our 5th stay there , and he is always very helpful and happy to see us .We also have renewed some friendships with other staff there . Entertainment was a little weak this time compared to previous visits . Very clean and well looked after resort . Congrats

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Absolutely Divine!

I cannot say enough good things about Majestic Colonial Punt Cana! Did Colonial Club and the perks were awesome! Rooms are beautiful and fully equipped with jacuzzi, shower and stocked mini fridage and coffee maker. Balconies are large with really nice patio chairs. The beach is pristine! Beautiful white sand. No rocks stones or crushed shells. Water turqouise blue. Can walk out for ages! No drop off on entering. No sea weed. Have palapas and palm trees for shade on beach. Buffets full of delicious food and ton of variety. You can get food 24/7 and Colonial club has room service included. Japanese and French are only restaurants need reservation which your concierge will look after for you. The service and staff are fantastic. Danny, our comcierge, was fabulous. helped us many times and checked on us every day to see if we needed anything and did our final check out as well so we didnt have to go to counter. Was like Royalty! The adult only pool bar so much fun. Lorenzo is the greatest bar tender keeping everyone laughing and entertained as well as makes amazing drinks. The foam party a blast! Entertainment great! Michael Jackson show a big hit! Dancing on the terrace to great latin music while sipping margaritas which were the best Ive ever had. Not miles of walking either! We had room 4321 which was central to the beach in one direction and the main buffet and entertainment and lobby the other way. There is a Steak house, Seafood Restaurant and buffet open for breakfast lunch and dinner on the beach. The resort and rooms are immaculately clean. The staff are so friendly. I was at Bahia Principe Esmeralda last year which was pretty nice but after experiencing Majestic there was no comparison. Definitely Majestic Colonial. There are also elevators for the rooms if you are on 3rd or 4th floor handy. The Colonial Club was worth the little bit extra. Adult only and lots extra perks. You also get a free full size bottle of liquor to take home or use in your room. Bonus! I highly recommend this resort. It was perfect in every way and only about 25 minutes from airport by taxi. Thanks again to our concierge Danny! You helped us with so many things. Hope to go back again!.

We had a wonderful week away. The resort needs some updating and one of the restaurants wasn't open and 2 bars. It would be perfect if those were know before we booked. The pool bar was good but sometimes you had to wait a long time for a drink and they weren't busy. The bus to the resort was old as well.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Wonderfull Resort with room to improve

Pros: Absolutely beautiful place, location, grounds and decoration. Cons: Air conditioning system with with a major engineering design problem. Not enough insulation and faulty drain system. Condensation accumulates on the drywall causing mould and leakage. It's heart breaking seeing such beautiful Hotel with that major problem. Staff rush you to eat quickly in the main restaurants due to high demand. The house wine is awful. It does not meet a 5 start hotel standard. Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Great value

Beautiful beach, great service, good place to relax and recharge. Good wellness activities. Rarely waited more than a couple of minutes to be served at a bar or for seating at a restaurant. Overall, really good value for the money.

Riu Republica: still the number one party hotel

everything was great , food, ambiance, staff & great vibe & great people. they could do a better way to make reservation at the a la carte restaurants on the resort. but most defintely its an experience that anyone should try at least once :)

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Great Time

Had a great time with during a week's stay with my wife and daughter. Special shout out to Fransisca our concierge, Lenet at the pool, Rafi at the bar, Felix at the steakhouse and Diaz our photographer.

Paradisus Grand Cana: Excellent vacation!

We stayed in Paradisus Grand Cana on November 12-19, 2025. Resort in very conveniently compact with close proximity to everything except beach which was not very attractive to us because of infant child travelling with us. All amenities were found in very good state, clean rooms, very good service. If you prefer swim-off suite we advice to book it upfront before arriving to the resort since upgrade in the resort is insanely expensive. Buffet food is a bit limited in variety but always freshly ma [... read more]id, no line-ups, sufficient selection for everyone's taste. A la carte restaurants: we advise only steakhouse and Asian cousin, two others are on open air and they have very long waiting time. Perhaps, you may have different experience.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Good resort

Very clean and well maintained. Food was average, difficult to book reservations for restaurants but only because we were a bigger group. Not many activities for kids other than the pools. Beach was excellent.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Lush resort

The grounds and beach were the best about this resort. It is a huge resort with the lobby and restaurants at front and beach and pools a cart ride away. We were located at the beach which was handy because chairs were taken by 730. Food was just okay. Service was good. One thing that really surprised me was the amount of smoking and vaping, young and old! Weather was great. Probably would not return, there are better in the DR.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Overpriced and overrated

The good - clean, wonderful mattress and room, superb bar service, lovely beach. The happy greeting every morning from coffee lady in hideaway. Breakfast at Dorado The desserts And the rest - - - 60 mins wait at airport for nobody missing. 60 minute drive in horrendous traffic. Nobody to show us to our building in the dark in spite of paying diamond club. Butler - supposedly our "man friday" was like a ghost at the end of the phone. But turned up when we were leaving - of course. Abominable  [... read more]food at restaurants. Hostess at Mexicana shouted at us for not sitting in the corner as she wanted. Two disgusting, inedible meals at Dorado. Two others at Hunter but too dark to see food. Stick to the buffet - at least you can see what you are eating. Final crowning glory - sick now since Friday morning and 4 hours in emergency last night Advice if you really are set on going - go Hideaway and steer well away from Diamond and Restaurants.

Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa: Lots of room for improvement

Pros: beautiful facility and pools. Friendly staff. One of the nicest beaches in the Caribbean. Cons: Obvious lack of supervisory level of attention to detail, to ensure the small details that make a holiday special are not overlooked. Room was not completely ready even though we were a late day arrival. Room was missing amenities that were advertised, and that we heard from other guests had been supplied to them. Pool area for Preferred clients is completely enclosed by day beds, so th [... read more]at anywhere else you sit you are behind a wall of cabanas with no view of pool. Impossible to secure a cabana unless you are prepared to get up at 4:30 am to place towels. Restaurants are incredibly slow during dinner hour. 2-3 hours Either you plan to eat, or do a show. Impossible to accomplish both. Outside dining is very loud, as the restaurants all encircle the nightly outdoor entertainment area. Loud thumping music while you may be expecting a quiet romantic dinner. Not happening! No control of migration of guests from Dreams resort. Many were using the pool and amenities of the preferred Secrets side. The 90 minute drive from the airport is bad enough, but the provided transportation leaves much to be desired. Driver going far too fast given traffic and road conditions. White knuckle drive while driver was using cell phone and passing vehicles in an extremely reckless manner. Would we return? NO

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Needs work

We don’t have any hot meals. Food was always cold at any restaurant we went. Also was unable to communicate with any staff as they didn’t understand English and no one to ask that could help us. I wouldnt return to this resort.
