Melia Marina Varadero: Best Cuba experience thus far.
Very nice surroundings. Grounds were still under development. Room was clean, comfortable and adequately furnished. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food as good and wait staff were very efficient.
Resonance Blu Varadero: Great family resort
WE CHOSE THIS RESORT AS IT WAS ORIENTED TOWARDS CHILDREN AND WE WERE TRAVELING WITH A 4 AND 9 YEAR OLD. HOTEL POOL AND SLIDE WERE IDEAL. LOTS OF LOUNGE CHAIRS, CLEAN ROOMS AND A GREAT BEACH. THE FOOD IS TYPICAL CUBAN, NOT THE GREATEST BUT WE ALWAYS FOUND SOMETHING TO ENJOY. THE HOTEL STAFF ARE AMAZING AND REALLY TREATED US ROYALLY. ABSOLUTELY GREAT VALUE FOR FAMILIES. RECOMMEND HIGHLY.
Resonance Blu Varadero: Such a good time!
This was my first time down south, and I couldn't have picked a better resort! We had a beautiful room with two big beds, for three girls. The bathroom was a great size as well. Pool and beach were always busy, and very clean. They always gave you enough to drink .. this is a bit of a party resort. Food wasn't amazing .. but I didn't go down south for the food either. Overall beautiful resort!
Hotel Los Cactus: Had so much fun! The staff is amazing!
The hotel is older but kept very clean and the grounds are beautiful. All areas are close to get to and their stretch of beach is definitely one on the best on Varadero beach! Food was the only disappointment - very bland.
Hotel Villa Cuba: Great resort
Being a first time traveller to Cuba, we enjoyed everything at Villa Cuba.. As long s you go there with an open mind and can adapt things easily, for sure, you will enjoy your stay.. The location is great.. It's few minutes away from downtown.. The staff are amazing.. They always greet you with a smile... The resort needs some maintenance, but again, if your expectations are not so high, you will like it as is... The room where we were was very clean.. With the help of the chamber maid, it was k [... read more]
Memories Jibacoa: Breezes
My stay was very nice, the hotel had a very large beach, but was situated on a reef. This made for very good snorkeling, but the sand ended after 10 feet and rocks/reef made swimming hard. Other than this aspect, the hotel was cleaned every day, including walkways, the hotel's other guest were respectful towards each other, fresh towels were provided daily and the hotel organized hikes into the surrounding hillsides. 4.5/5
Melia Las Americas: Amazing Resort, well kept and staff are wonderful
The hotel is the best, room are great, the food is excellent, staff always there to help you. The grounds are well kept. Would stay there again. This is not my 1st time. Lots of things to do without leaving the resort
Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort
Very clean, easy access to everything, we loved the location of our room, one think I missed was there was no clip hangers to hang your pant. The beach is amazing! The grounds are beautiful, we enjoyed the entertainment.
Sol Varadero Beach: They probably did their best
Staff were very nice. Food was just okay, although great orange juice. The room was fine, but could have had better linens and towels. It felt a bit musty. Entertainment was available, but every night seemed the same show with a different title. Lots of drunk teenagers. Maybe it was just that week. The beach was beautiful and our weather was great.
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: A great Resort that you want to be in
This was my second year staying at El patriarca. Last year I stayed there for 10 days in June and this year again in June for 7 days. The staff recognized me as soon as I checked in. I was given a previlege suit for no extra charge. That was truly appreciated.my apartment was overlooking the ocean and could spend hours in the evening and early morning to sit on the balcony on the second floor reading. Of course the food was okay and never had any complaints. Since it was off season, there were lo [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: beautiful resort
The hotel was amazing. The staff very friendly. The food at the buffet needs some improvement. Overall i enjoyed my stay. The rooms were always clean and spacious. I stayed towards the end if the marina.
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great Resort
Excellent beach/rooms/staff, food was very good. Open a la carte dinning is what we look for at resorts and the Patriarca is the only one in Cuba that offers this option. The General Manager is always out and about talking to the guests and all staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Really awesome time
Was very nice and clean, there was something for everyone to do or just do nothing. More then one pool to sit by and lots of room at both ...........................................................................................
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Excellent resort with friendly staff
Strongly reccomended. Amazing beach. Royal Service. Excellent a-la-cart restaurants. Excellent music bands at the beach restaurant for lunch. Outstanding customer service: Ms. Odima, Ms. Nidia, and Mr. Felix.
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Excellent First Time Stay
Travelled with my mother, June 15-22, 2014. 6th trip to Cuba but 1st time at this resort. Beautiful resort, as shown on the photo's. Great modern rooms, nice décor, clean and loved the separate shower and bath. Grounds are nice and well maintained. Great beach, beach bar and nice beach restaurant. Beach beds could do with a bit of an upgrade, many broken and have to hunt a bit to find one that's not broken. Not a deal breaker but given this is a new resort a bit surprising. Particularly enjoyed [... read more]
Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing vacation! !
My boyfriend and I went to the Royal Hicacos resort and spa from the 13th of July to the 20th. We had an amazing time. The resort was clean and the grounds were really well kept. We took a private tour to Havana that was organized by Guille. It was a nice experience. I highly recommend visiting Havana. The beach is breathtaking. The water was very warm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. As many people complain about the food in Cuba, the food at this resort was quite good. We highly [... read more]
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Work in progress
Except for the large cactus tree there is nothing at the resort grounds you would ask your friend did they see. After been given a room with twin beds by mistake 2 night later we were moved to Bloque 65 for a room with a king size bed. The main housekeeper for this section was lacking skills. It seemed that she never cleaned the dust mop from one unit to another, which resulted in our room floor being dirtier and full of black hairs after she was finished. There was a beautiful rain shower in th [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: One of the best!!!
This is one of the best resort we have been at and was definitely worth the extra compared to other resort in Cuba and the food was really good. Everyone went the extra mile to provide excellent service. First resort that I see plenty of chairs, so not need to rush to the beach to save a spot. We had a late evening flight, so the concierge even arranged for an a la carte diner before we left. Truly a worry free vacation!! In all our travel, we never go back twice to the same, but in this case, w [... read more]
Melia Peninsula Varadero: IT WAS A WONDERFUL RESORT.
THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THE POOL WAS GREAT AND IT WAS JUST A SHORT WALK TO A NICE CLEAN BEACH. LOT OF FOODS TO PICK FROM AND VERY ATTENTIVE STAFF. ALSO IT WAS NOT TO FAR TO GO INTO THE CITY.
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: NO THANK YOU
This was our third trip to Cuba, the first two experiences were great but for a Resort residing amongst a strip of many in Varadero this resort is perhaps at the bottom of the group. On the positive side: the grounds as well as the beach were absolutely beautiful and as an added bonus the hotel is very close to the beach. The pool was large and clean. They also offer some pretty good shows in the concert hall - the one we saw was "Michael Jackson' - which was top notch and well done. The above [... read more]
