Sunscape Puerto Plata: Not that good

We were at this resort in Dec 2016 and had a great time .this time not so much .the shower did not work right and the bathroom sink did not drain let staff know and nothing was done .the main pool was very dirty and even though the resort was not full the service was not that good this time around

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful Vacation!

Just returned from 10 days at Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana. Overall it was a wonderful experience! We were not initially pleased with the location of our room and asked to be relocated closer to our children. We were moved to a room with a beautiful oceon view on same floor, just doors from the rest of our family (we did pay extra but it was worthwhile). The food at the buffet was excellent and we chose to eat there all but one night. There was excellent selection and all delicious- steak, pasta, lobster,chicken-something for everyone. We at at the tempeniaki restaurant once and it was fun for the children.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Resort

This was the second time we stayed at this resort. It was again amazing! The grounds are immaculate, the people are friendly, the food is amazing and the beach is spectacular. We love this resort and looking forward to our next stay here.

Riu Republica: Rui Republica trip

We were very pleased with our trip to Rui Republica. Rooms were nice, grounds were beautiful & well kept, pool areas were clean & maintained. Enjoyed the activities & shows, staff were curious & helpful.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Excellent Family Vacation

The resort was clean and well kept. The food was good, lots of variety at the buffet and the a la cartes were great. Never had difficulty finding loungers at the pool or beach. Drinks were plentiful and service was great. Would definitely return.

Occidental Caribe: Paradise!

The hotel was amazing! Service and rooms were awesome and my friends and I had a very memorable time! The workers were very engaging and spent time playing volleyball with us. 100% would go back, we loved it!

Occidental Caribe: Great vacation with friends

My friends and I just came back from Occidental Caribe, and it was a fantastic time! Service was okay, the pool staff was amazing! Most of the other employees didn't really know much English (which is to be expected in a Spanish speaking country). Food was okay not the best though. Beach is amazing! We would definitely go back!

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Good Value for Money

We booked this resort last minute, but were originally looking to go to Jamaica. We couldn't find anything there for 2 weeks at a reasonable price and then struck out in Punta Cana as well, which we have been to 6 times. We managed to find a 2 week deal at a very affordable price in Puerto Plata at the Blue Bay Villa Doradas. Our first impression was that the resort looks a little tired and dated. When we looked at pictures of the resort on-line it showed that there were palapas at the beach. There were instead Bali beds and pergolas with some white cloth on them. Most of the cloth was ripped and did not cover the pergolas very well, so my wife and I only spent 1 day at the beach. We like palapas because they allow you to be out of the direct sun but still get a tan. Saying all that we still managed to enjoy ourselves during our stay. The food was very good at the resort, we always enjoyed our meals at the buffet. The three a la carte restaurants were exceptional. The wait staff were very friendly and the extra touches throughout the meal made our evening's very special. We read some reviews prior to going down and there were some people that complained about the food. Some people must be extremely fussy. The three a la carte restaurants are the seafood, steak and chinese. The seafood was our favorite. The animation team were extremely busy throughout the day and evening. There were events going on every hour starting at 9AM. We especially liked Chocolatè who always brought a smile to our face. The resort is a small adults only resort so it is a short walk to the lobby and buffet or to the a la carte restaurants at the beach. The beach is very wide and we enjoyed our walks every day. You can walk around the pennisula heading north and west and easily go for a one hour walk. The water was a beautiful green and was nice and warm for swimming. The sand is a different color than the beaches at Punta Cana, but it is still a nice beach. The room was outdated but functional. It could stand to have had a dresser as there was limited space to put clothes that didn't need to be hung up. The bathroom was roomy and functional, unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was pretty weak and there were 3 occasions where we had to shower in cold water. The bed was very comfy and even though I suffer from a bad back, I woke up feeling refreshed every morning. Pretty much everyone we talked to during our stay made the same comment as to why they chose the Blue Bay Villas Doradas, the low price. One couple we met has been going there for more than 20 years and still love going back 2 weeks every year. If you can overlook some of the small issues than this resort is definitely value for your money.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful Resort

Very clean and service was awsome a little dated but understand updating is taking place august to november the food selection was great something for everyone and a beautiful section of beach their pool is huge and beautiful and the staff is friendly and accomodating. The excurtions they offer again something for everyone. I enjoyed it all emensely. I highly recommend it if your looking for an affordable price and a pleasurable get away

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Much, much more than we expected!

This resort far exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The food was wonderful, hot and varied in the buffet! The Ocean Grill food was exceptional! This resort was so clean and the staff, from the gardener to the front desk and everyone in between, were so friendly and helpful. Our room designation was mixed up and the front desk quickly corrected it AND gave us ocean view to compensate for our troubles. The beach was clean, and very close to everything! Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort!

The Gran Bahia Ambar Green is a beautiful, well maintained property. It is exceptionally clean. The buffet&restaurants were delicious. The staff were very friendly with always a "it is my pleasure" comment! The Bavaro beach is very beautiful and staff are always raking the seaweed which is very labour intensive as there is so much daily! Our only complaint is we have been going to this resort for years and the bugs or mites in the lobby bars are getting worse every year! We have stayed at two o [... read more]ther resorts in Punta Cana and have not encountered this problem, also we invited two other couples with us this year and they have not experienced this problem in their previous travels.

Grand Palladium Palace: Incredible Resort!

This resort is absolutely beautiful. Our room was amazing (we had a loft suite) and very very clean, I could not get over how nice the rooms were, especially after going to Cuba last year, this well exceeded our expectations. The food is great, the staff is amazing, the beach and pools are fantastic (especially the secret pool). I really cannot say enough good things about this resort, I have zero complaints. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Not bad

The hotel was very nice but needed to have updated rooms and safes. The vendors on the resort were next level just constant badgering to buy stuff a little to much for my liking. The food was great and the staff was absolutely amazing the beach was also incredible.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Very very nice

The hotel grounds were so beautiful and there was lots to explore. The food was quite good, both a la carte as well as the buffets! We stayed at the reserve which had huge rooms. The only problem about the room in my opinion was the light switches made no sense. Sounds kind of silly but there were probably 25 light switches in a 900 sqf room with 2 master switches and it was just super confusing. Beach area was beautiful, lots of waves & seating. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing family vacation!

The resort was clean, modern and beautiful! The perfect size for families! Loved the kids pool with the view of the ocean! Staff was amazing, entertainment was incredible! Food was decent. We will definitely be back!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Wonderful Experience

I was skeptical about going to this resort from seeing the reviews, however, id like to say I had the best experience here. The food, entertainment, the beautiful resort itself, makes me want to live there. I just want to thank the staff for their hard work and postive vibes all throughout the days I stayed. I recommend!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great resort, poor Trip Central support

The accommodations were great, the staff was friendly and the scenery was beautiful. Our only issue was with Trip Central and their customer service when we had airline problems. Resort was great, but wouldn't use Trip Central again

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: beautiful hotel

beautiful resort people were very lovely rooms were really nice as well always clean would highly recommend this to young couples to families,extra activites werent the best but i would recommend the horse back riding

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Majestic Colonial is truly that...Majestic

The best part of the trip was the bus ride to the airport. In the sense that....all the people we met when we first arrived complained after their trip. It proved to us just how lucky we were to be here. The food, entertainment, people, service, everything, was breathtaking. You couldn't ask for nicer servers. A cleaner resort. A more beautiful room. Better food. I had went to a resort a few years ago, and it pales in comparison to our trip at the Majestic Colonial. Now Garden Punta Cana: nice resort

swim out good and private nice for relax, grill by the pool, restaurant, one near by include buffet and a la carte at night, for other restaurant you have to go to Now Larimar near by and have to go trough Now Larimar to go to that pool and beach area
