Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Second time at this resort, maybe better than our first!

This is our family's second stay at this resort. We have a 9 & 11 year old. We stayed for a week this March and the same time last year. We had an amazing time last year and we can hardly believe that this time was even better. We have been to many All Inclusive resorts in Mexico, Cuba and the DR and this one is near the top for value for money. The resort is about a 90 minute drive from t [... read more]he airport but totally worth it. This is a wonderful family resort. It is large but we like that, it means more options. The staff is what really makes this resort special. Everyone, from the reception, servers, gardeners, housekeepers, butlers, trolly drivers, beach workers, is extremely hardworking and friendly. The beaches do get a lot of seaweed but the crew works very hard starting very early to clean it up everyday. The best stretch of beach is in front of the Akumal. The swimming area is shallow so if you like to do a lot of swimming you might stick to the pools. The resort is gorgeous and grounds are very clean and well maintained. The variety of food at the buffet is excellent, something for everyone! We tried a few restaurants and were very happy. The butler service is great to help you book restaurants, tennis, and correct problems in the room. The resort has access to the other resorts in the chain, it is fun to check out the waterpark at Coba and the restaurants at Coba and Tulum. The transportation system is great, although we love walking and enjoyed checking out the other resorts while working off our big meals! The Tulum resort was under some construction so heads-up if you venture over there. We have nothing but great things to say about our vacation here and we have fantastic memories to last a lifetime. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful resort - excellent food !

We just got back from a 7 day vacation here and it was fantastic. This resort is one of the larger ones we’ve been to and would not be great for travelers with mobility issues. It’s basically split into 2 areas. The lobby, majority of a la cartes, main buffet, gym, theatre, and quiet pool with two buildings for accommodations are all in the jungle and where you first arrive. It’s about a 10 min walk and very scenic with iguanas and another creature we called lemurs (but arent). There were golf carts and other shuttles running back and forth but weren’t consistent. Aside from the weather being amazing the food was a highlight. Breakfast was available at 2 locations but more plentiful in the main buffet. My husband had 1/2 coffee 1/2 bailey’s every morning x2 or 3 and I had at least 1 mimosa. Servers were very attentive and quick to refill. We noticed that most of the alcohol was free without a privileged wristband. Our favourite a la cartes were the seafood ( the grilled salmon over crunchy potatoes was AMAZING!!) and the Oriental. We went to both twice. The evening shows were varied. The best by far was the circus one. You must see it!!! Grease and Aladdin were also good. They repeat the set every 7 days so if you are there for more than a week plan accordingly. Best surprise was if you walked up the beach to the left (North) about 1 km there was a fresh water stream flowing into the ocean. The water was crystal clear and so blue. You can swim in this for free. There is a very strong current flowing towards the ocean but water got shallow before reaching the ocean so it wasn’t dangerous and you could stand to walk to the side. We rented a double kayak from the resort for 30US$ and went up stream to a cenote to snorkel. The water was very clear but not any colourful fish. The biggest disappointment but we had been warned by other reviews is the beach is not great along the oceans edge. Tonnes of seaweed that they attempted to rake to the sides once or twice and sat in rotting piles. Very stinky and lots of bugs at the ends of the beach. The water was very brown and cloudy and I ventured in hoping for sand but most was a slimy bottom. Don’t go here if you are a lover of swimming in clear blue ocean waters off the resort. If you walk south on the beach past 2 resorts they have clear water and sand so you can swim there as a last resort. The activities around the pool were plentiful and entertaining to watch if you weren’t in the mood to participate. We played a ton of beach volleyball. They had a good court with proper net and lines. But quality of games will always depend on the skill off the other tourists during your stay. We were lucky!!

Riu Emerald Bay: Riu Emerald Bay

Excellent 2 weeks in the Rui everything was perfect check in an braclets are done on the bus ride to resort get off bus pick up your envelope wih keys, towel cards and wifi password and head to your room. We upgraded to the tub on the deck 19 floor amazing views. Only complaint which is minor was the elevators.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Beautiful, clean resort!

Thesis resort is amazing! Not too large, only 419 rooms scattered over what 40 acres or more on rocky hillsides. Whoever engineered & constructed this resort had quite the insight building around huge boulders, hill sides & rocky terrain. Rooms exceptionally clean & spacious, staff will look after your every need & respond immediately to help. Buffet is delicious with so many choices, a la cartes like Mediterranean, Mexican, Steak place etc very gourmet!! The food was excellent! This resort is very well run, the best we’ve ever been to! The majority of guests were Mexican, then Canadian, a few from US. Some guests we spoke to have been there 3, 4, 5, or more times! Lots of great tours, a couple of nearby towns 10 min away that are very safe, easy to get around, no pressure. Good shows in the evenings with the young, very fit & talented staff acting & dancing in them. Lots of walking because it is so spread out, but you can always use the shuttles if you like they are at your door in less than 5 min! All in all a great place to relax!

Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Loved It!

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! We have been going to Cabo for years, and this was our first time at Marina Fiesta. I will not even consider another resort again. I highly recommend your hotel. Clean, great staff, good food, great location. All the check marks! Looking forward to next year :)

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great resort for the price

Lots to do for the kids. Beds and pillows are incredibly hard and they need to vary their buffet offerings ! Pineapple,watermelon,cantaloupe and papaya every single day ! The resort is very strangely laid out and we wondered why we had a fridge in our room when they never stock it. Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa: Great location

We really enjoyed the view from our balcony of the pool and marina. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We like leaving the resort and felt totally safe as there was lots of security but also lots of pedlars. The Mexican restaurant was our favourite, although we had great meals at all the dining options. The only thing missing is a beach, which we knew when we booked.

Hotel Emporio Ixtapa: Great place!

A very nice resort on the smaller side, but that's what we were looking for. A large selection of food betweeen the buffet and the other restaurants. Excellent location right across from the bars, restaurants, shops and market.

El Cid Granada: Good value

The hotel and rooms are well kept and clean. The pool at the El Cid was a nice quiet place to read and swim. This is not a beach front hotel, but has easy access from the walkway that goes across the street to the El Cid Castilla, where the buffet, shows and the Italian restaurant are. The service was good. We had an excellent meal at El Patio one evening. I especially enjoyed the shrimp skewers. The only negative things I would say is that the wifi is extra, $40 for one device for a week. Also, [... read more] beware of the time share vacation representative in the lobby. They make it sound like they are going to give you a tour of the hotel complex. We got sucked in, but got free wifi for our time. We took advantage of the All Inclusive, but our room had a two burner hot plate, microwave, small fridge and toaster oven if you did not want to. There are lots of shops and restaurants close by since this hotel is in the Golden zone. There is easy access to taxis and buses to explore the city.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Average Resort

I found the rooms amazing. Exactly what the brochure describes, all ocean view spectacular. The food on the other hand I found the same every meal. Only 3 a la cartes with 1 being Mexican. They did have a osyter bar but it was off site and you had to make reservations for all meals offered. (breakfast,lunch or dinner). It stated in the brochure it was 18plus but there were childern allowed. The did have an adult only pool. You had to walk on the boardwalk to get to the beach, the beach in o [... read more]ur area of resort was very rocky. Or you could walk across the street to the other public beach. Entertainment for evening shows weren’t up to par to what i have seen in other resorts. The staff though was very friendly and accommodating.

Dreams Los Cabos: Bring on the Sun

Beautiful resort with really nice pools. No swimming at the beach but we knew that ahead of time. Dennis at the French restaurant and Raul at the adult pool have top notch customer service. Only complaint is that a hidden charge/donation was added to my credit card at check out. Don’t mind donating but not happy with it being added without being asked. Was removed once asked about it.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic resort. Can't wait to go back

This was my 4th time at the Grand Bahia Principe...but first time at Sian Ka'an. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra to go to Sian Ka an. Everything is just that much better. Well worth it. Can't wait to go back!

Barcelo Karmina: Great resort

We arrived March14 stayed for 7 days,this resort is beautiful, very clean,staff are very friendly,happy to assist you for any of your concerns.(we had none).if you want to do some shopping better to bring pesos ,as some stores would not accept other currency... Other than that all was fantastic.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Family Vacation

This is the second Royalton that we have booked through Our Agent Heather Felice and this one exceeded our expectations. The resort was clean, amazing service, food and drinks were premium and always flowing! It was a wonderful spot for a family vacation. We rented a catamaran with the other family we travelled with for a half day and that was certainly the highlight of our trip. Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Exactly what we needed!

Loved the following about the resort: - Smaller sized resort - No reservations required to a la carte dinners - No bracelets required on resort - Walking distance to marina, shops, other restaurants and nightlife - Adult only area - Great wifi throughout resort - No fighting for chairs on beach or pool I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxed no stress atmosphere with or without a family.

We had a fantastic time. The resort was great and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach is clean and great for swimming. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this resort and location.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Mosquito infested resort

This place is infested with mosquitoes and also some rooms have bed bugs.. If you can get past that...everything else is really great except the ocean. Smelly seaweed. The staff are really great. Steak house is awesome. One other thing. Why up charge $45 US for a frigging $10 Lobster tail. It’s gouging for something that’s supposed to be all inclusive

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Totally amazing! We can't wait to go back!

The snorkelling experience with the turtles and beautiful fish right at the resort was incredible! Staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful! Room was gorgeous and all rooms with the ocean just steps away. We absolutely loved it!!! Special thanks to Oscar, LIliana and Angel who really went out of their way to take care of us, fabulous people!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing resort.

This was our 5th time back at Royal Decameron. It always feels like home for us. We love the whole complex. The food is always good with lots to choose from. Staff is always friendly and willing to serve and help with whatever you need. We love the fact that there is a lot of green space, trees, flowers, and the Iguanas!! The beach has great, soft sand. You can walk for miles. We will definitely be back 😊
